BPC - EVDRE error - values on YEAR level do not appear

Hi everyone.
I have a Time dimension with YEAR, QUARTER and MONTH level.
When I do an EVDRE report and I select an especific YEAR (ex. 2011) and I set the MemberSet Expansion to SELF, it didn´t bring any value.
On the other hand, when I set SELF, DEP or even SELF,DEP,BAS, the values on the QUARTER and MONTH cells appear just fine!
PS: The Option SumParent is blank.
I've done a test with EVGET, selecting TIME:2011, and it brings the value with no problem. So this proves that the Time Hierarchy is working fine, and the problem is on EVDRE.
Any sugestions?

I also facing similar issue(bpc7.5nw sp10) i'm getting only at base level, not at parent level(quarter/year).

Hi all,
I am facing a unique problem in BW production. This is not happeneing in my Development.
Whenever I goto table "/BI0/SFISCPER" or do F4 on any Fiscal Year / Peiod field, I get the message " Error FGV002: Fiscal year variant R1 is not maintained for calendar year 2005" . In my client R1 is Shortened Fiscal Year. But we are not using this for year 2005 and most years. And the message is Type Error. I tried to debug but the code enters in 100 odd Function Modules and does not give any answer.
My Finance Person has checked the settings in transaction SPRO > SAP Reference IMG > BW Customizing Implementation Guide > Business Information Warehouse > General BW Settings > Maintain Fiscal Year Variant). They are exactly identical to R/3 production setting.
I have already done rebuild of Fiscal Year Variant from Source System by right clicking and loading data again.
I am using BW 3.0B with Bi Content 3.1 . Please advise urgently.

I have some problems with a Sun Fire T2000. Solaris 10 was installed one year ago. The server went down and now I am trying to connect to recover the dates and make a new installation.
Booting the server, I don't get any message. If I type #. I reach to sc> mode and from there I can get to ok prompt. From either mode, I can't get in the operating system.
From the ok prompt I issued "show-disks" and I booted with the cdrom choosing the option from the output of "show-disks". I got the "The file just loaded does not appear to be executable."
I searched the error and then I booted with "boot cdrom -s" and I got the "ERROR: /virtual-devices@100/console@1: Last Trap: Division by Zero".
Please advice for a new installation.

I understood that this server runs on different levels, like with firmware OpenBoot (ok prompt) or System Controll (sc>).
I understood the different setups can be made from ok prompt, like the problem I have now.
I am at the ok prompt. The "printenv" showed me that I was booting from net1, which is wrong because the installation just ended. So I changed to "disk" following your indications. I checked with printenv and indeed the boot sequence was changed to boot disk.
I issued the boot command I after the message "Boot device: disk File and args:" it looks like hanging. I am sure I can get back to sc> prompt but it looks like a loop to me: how do I get into the operating system? I looks I can switch only from ok to sc and backwards. But, after booting I'd like to enter in Solaris OS, not OpenBoot firmware or System Control...

Error message "Tax code V1 does not appear in any G/L account item"

Hi,
I am getting the error message FF753- Tax code V1 does not appear in any G/L account item when I post a subsequent credit via miro.
It does not give the error with invoice or credit memo for the sames GL accounts.
History:
PO created
Goods receipt
Invoice posted and blocked as value greater than PO
Subsequent credit put on to correct the values in price query - error appears
I know if I go to FS02 and make the GL code * tax relevant it will remove the error but we dont want tax to go to this account as its a main inventory GL code.
Can anyone advise why it would appear on the subsequent credit but not on invoices or credits.
Also is there something I can set up to remove this issue apart from making the GL code tax relevant - it must not need it if the other postings work ok.

Doesnt matter that it works for credits and invoices with blank tax you still need to put * in GL code for subsequent credit etc postings

Tax Levels are not appearing in PO

I am using Taxinn and i am maintained Conditions in FV11 on Plant/Tax Code Level.
While raising PO these values are not appearing.

Hi,
Once you have maintained the tax condition record through FV11, you have to come out of the PO creation transaction and again try to create PO. (Sometimes it is required). As mentioned above, it is necessary to check the date of the condition record should cover the date of creation of purchase order. Also check the condition record you entered is not deleted by somebody.
Also check the company code assignment to tax code as mentioned above reply.
SPRO->Logistic General-> Tax on Goods movements -> India -> Basic Settings -> Maintain Excise duty -> Conditionbased excise determination -> Assign tax codes to company codes.

Error :Value of restricted LOV parameter not among the selectable values

Hi,
I am designing a report which has two layouts. I have a parameter :P_Reason_code which is applicable to only one layout.
There is a repeating frame in my first layout which should display only if :P_Reason_code value is 'Y'.
I have wriiten a format trigger for this repeating frame saying the repating frame should return true if :P_Reason_code value= 'Y'.
else, it should return false meaning it shouldnt display.
:P_Reason_code is an optional parameter when i run it at the oracle apps front end.
The problem that i am facing is that when i run the report for the second layout by not providing value for the parameter :P_Reason_code
, it errors out saying "REP-0788: Warning: The value of restricted LOV parameter P_REASON_CODE is not among the selectable values.'
I tried creating another user parameter P_REASON_CODE1 and putting a trigger in the After parameter form trigger saying
if P_REASON_CODE is null then
P_REASON_CODE1 :='Y';
P_REASON_CODE := P_REASON_CODE1;
ELSE
P_REASON_CODE1 := P_REASON_CODE;
P_REASON_CODE := P_REASON_CODE;
END IF;
But still it doesnt seem to work.
What could be the issue?

try setting the default-value for the parameter to Y (or whatever value is in the LoV defined for the parameter).
Is there a parameterform used for the report. If not remove the LoV from the parameter.

In your Formsweb.cfg there is a line:
archive_jini=f90all_jinit.jar (default)
and you must type:
archive_jini=f90all_jinit.jar, hst65.jar
And you must change this line:
imageBase=DocumentBase (default)
Into:
imageBase=CodeBase.

Planning at Year level

We have one Hyperion Planning application where the Period dimension has months (12) rolling up to Quarter and Year Total and 'Year' dimension for year totals.
There is a requirment to create an Annual Plan which would be at year level and not at Month level. We don't want to Load data at node level in Period dimension (Year Total) and also don't want to load data at any one month e.g December.
Is there a way we can create Annual or Year level plan in this structure or can we add another member in Period dimension to achieve this or any other workaround if you have faced similar requirement ?

Do you have a BegBalance member in your Period dimension? If not, you could always create a member outside of the YearTotal hierarchy to act as its analogue.
If so, you could load data to that member, and then use a calc script/HBR to spread or load that value to the month(s) under YearTotal.
I'm guessing that you have Actual data at a month level and would thus likely want to compare monthly Actual data with monthly Plan data.

SAP BW DTP error: Fiscal year variant is not maintained for calendar year

Hi experts,
Running DTP for loading 2LIS_12_VCITM results in following error "Fiscal year variant A2 is not maintained for calendar year 2012".
I have already done following checks:
- the fiscal variant A2 exists for the fiscal year 2012 in the BW system (T009 tables)
- the DTP does only give this error for 2 company codes, and works fine for other company codes
- in our R3 system, the fiscal year variant A2 is assigned to all the company codes, how or where can I check this assignment in the BW system ?

HELP! Error message after itunes 10.2 update + ipad will not appear on Macs

Everything was fine until I tried to update to 10.2. Error message appeared and ipad lost sync. Now ipad does not show on computer when itunes opens. Also ipad missing several apps from screen.
How/why the heck did this happen????

If you are having trouble updating, you need to check this support document for that. You may need to put the device into Recovery Mode.

Hide Dimension Hierarchy if levels do not contain any data

I have a hierarchy in a dimension that does not contain data for specific roles. For example dimension Dim1 has a hierarchy H1 with levels aaa and bbb. When each level in H1 does not have data, and the data is unknown, I do not want the user
to be able to select H1 in the browser.
Does anyone know how I can hide the hierarchy based on what data is in the hierarchy?

In SQL Server Analysis Services, we can hide or disable hierarchy level by using
AttributeHierarchyEnabled property, however, when this property is set to false, this level will not appear no matter if contain data or not. In your scenario, you want to hide the hierarchy level dynamically, right? As Aleksandr
