BPC menu commands

Hello experts,
I need your help on the following topic.
I created an input schedule (using EVDRE) and I am going to send data. If I use the icon/button top left in my BPC Excel file I am asked: " 1 data record will be sent; do you want to continue?" After accepting this I receive the success message: "1 submitted and accepted". The normal process.
If I create a custom button (MNU_eSUBMIT_REFSCHEDULE_SHEET_REFRESH) the question and the success message won`t appear.
It is possible to change this, so that they will appear? I would like to offer the users the comfortable button solution and also show them if there action was successful.
Another problem is that after the "Refresh" the headings of the BeforeRange disappear (the format is still there, but no text). It needs another extra "Expand" to fill the text into the BeforeRange.
Exists a menu command within BPC which first execute a "Refresh" and than an "Expand" or first "Send data", "Refresh" and than "Expand"?
I am looking forward to your answers.
Thank you very much in advance.
Greets,
Stefan

Hi Stefan Panthel,
After I read your question and any suggestion from other developer. I will try to give you the information about any suggestion was given.
@Mark:
I implemnted your macro and so far it seems to works. After entering data, it was sent to the database and I received the success message. After clicking the button again (without entering new data) the procedure is the same and I am receiving the same success message. Usually I received the message:
"There is no data to refresh". What is happening in the backend / database? Is it just an overwriting?
==> the message box "There Is No Data To Refresh" define that the SAP BPC can't find data was changed by user in Ms.Excel. So, the SAP BPC not send or update the old data with new data.
@Tim:
Your macro MNU_ESUBMIT_REFRESH solved the problem of the question and the success message, but I have still the problem that the headings disappear.
==>
I will try to guide you using Tim's VBA. The step such as:
1.Open the excel file. After that, please click the menu "Tools-Macro-Visual Basic Editor" on the Ms.Excel menus.
2. Insert the VBA module, such as: right click on the Microsoft Excel Object and click the menu "Insert-Module".
3. Copy paste the below VBA script:
Function AFTER_SEND(argument as string)
         Application.Run "MNU_ETOOLS_EXPANDANDREFRESH"
         AFTER_SEND=TRUE
End Function
4. Click the menu "File-Save"
That function will run after you was done send data using input schedules.
I hope this informatiion can help you so much.
Thanks,
Wandi Sutandi

  • Menu Command to run a DataManager Package

    Hello
    I need to have a command button in BPC-Excel spread sheet, that will execute a Data Management Package. Any idea what is the Menu Command Macro for it?  Where I could find all the menu command macros in BPC 7.0?
    Thanks and best regards
    DipM

    Dip,
      On  BPC  MS ---these  are  two  commands  available..I'm  sure  these  shld  be  available  in  NW too....but in case  you  dont  see  the  expected  behaviour..Your  best bet...search for  this command in  SAP Support  Portal under  Application area "EPM-BPC-NW"  if  this  command  is still  available..and  for  all  the  rest  of  Mnu  commands..
    MNU_eData_RUNPACKAGE
    Opens the Data Manager Run Package dialog box. Allows users who have access to run database packages.
    MNU_eDATA_SELECTPACKAGE
    Open a specific Data Manager package.
          Syntax for this command is MNU_eDATA_SELECTPACKAGE(<package name>, <package file path>, <teamname>, <package group>)
          For only this menu command, the parameters are part of the MacroName so you must leave the Parameter section blank. For example, if you have MNU_eData_SelectPackage(""import"",""examples/import.dts"",""HQ"") in cell A1, FX Restatement in cell A2, your EvMNU function would be: EvMNU(A1,A2,).
    for  adding  a button:On your EVDRE, go to EXCEL VIEW menu and forms...and from that click the botton and draw it on your EVDRE.rt  click  and  put  your  command  in  the  macro..
    hope  this  helps ...

  • Menu commands for Scheduling Gantt

    I'm trying to add my own custom commands to a Scheduling Gantt on my page. I have some questions/comments.
    1. I can add items to the tablePopupMenu facet, and they show up fine and my listener gets executed. How can I find out what resource was selected when this event fires, and/or the IDs of all of the selected resources? The actionEvent has very little information in it and is just generic. Do I need to tell it somehow that it is a "resource" event?
    2. I have added items to the chartPopupMenu facet, and they show up fine on the menu, but the listener is not called when I click the menu item. This seems like a bug but maybe I'm just doing something wrong.
    3. I would have thought that whatever menu items I add to these popup menus would also be added to the "Resource" and "Task" menus on the menu bar, but they're not. How can I add my own menu commands there?
    4. Is it possible for me to change the text that displays for the "Resource", "Task" and "View" menus? We have a legacy language translation system that I need to use to get the menu choices.
    Any and all advice appreciated!

  • WAD difference context menu command EXPORT

    Hi all,
    I am wondering which is the difference between the WAD context menu command "Export to Excel" (MENU_EXPORT_TO_XLS) and the standard command EXPORT with format XLS used on a button.
    On clients without BEx (Web front end only) a user could use the context menu command, but when using a button with standard command EXPORT (format XLS) it´s not working well. A window opens and an excel sheet with data is shown, but you cannot edit any data cell in standard Excel way. You have to save the worksheet and reopen it to edit any cell.
    Any ideas?
    best regards

    Hi,
    Exporting the report through Excel can be done in two ways as you said.
    One is through Context menu and other one through the Button.Both does the same job.
    After exporting into Excel,you can use Excel options and save it locally.

  • New Tab doesn't open when I click on the + sign or even try to open over the Menu command

    Currently I can't open a New Tab even when I click on the + sign or try to open over the Menu command. The only way that it opens is when I browse over the link and click with the right mouse button. What do I need to do specifically to open a blank New Tab either by clicking the +sign next to an already open Tab and/over the Menu command.

    This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
    *Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
    *If you have many extensions then first enable half of the extensions to test which half has the problem.
    *Continue to divide the bad half that still has the issue until you find which one is causing it.

  • Sleep and Shut-down menu commands

    Our 500 MHz Power PC G3, upgraded to system 10.4.6, is a great machine and a real work horse for us. However, it has been acting up lately. The apple symbol drop down menu command that puts the computer to sleep, restart, shut down etc. will not respond. The key board commands for sleep etc. also don't work. I tried the Disk Utilitly- First Aid, both Disk Repairs and Permissions. "No repairs were necessary" for both. I even reinstalled OS 10.4.6 which seems to have complicated the problem and ate a big chunk of our precious little harddrive memory. Now every time I start up I get the warning message, "Application Launch Failure" The applicaton "Transport Monitor' could not be launched
    because of a shared library error:"8<Transport Monitor><Transport Monitor><HotSyncLib.PPC><"
    Could this be the root of the drop-down menu problem?

    As I said, a weak or dead PRAM battery can reportedly cause odd startup issues. If it has never been changed in six years, that's a really long-lasting battery, even if the iMac was kept on continuously.
    They are pretty cheap from the right source, so you may want to try changing it.

  • Logic crashing whenever I try a File Menu command.

    My Logic Pro keeps bombing out when I do simple stuff through the file menu. I can't bounce to track, can't export as audio file, can't even "Save as Template" or "Import MIDI file"...
    It's ridiculous. Everything else seems to be great, just file menu commands...
    An ideas? As far as I know I have the newest software and firmware updates, and I bought this Macbook Pro in July, so it should be bloody more than capable.

    1st obviously make sure you hit up focusrites site for the latest drivers.
    Try this:
    Open console by holding CMD - SPACE bringing up spotlight, and type console and hit enter. (Its in applications -> utillity -> console)
    Start a new empty project
    Add an audio track with no plugins on the channel and assign the input to your mic input on your interface.
    Hit record
    If it crashes look at console and see if it logs out anything useful.
    If it doesn't crash then its more than likely some plugin messing with you.

    Hi all,
    I want to use a menu command that opens the Data Manager "Run Package Link" dialog box like MNU_eData_RUNPACKAGE.
    Thanks in advance.

  • "FlushLogFiles" menu command in Forte e-console affects method call performance

    Issue: When calling a Forte Wrapper Service Object of C Library on Unix, the execution of the call seems to be
    affected by executing the "FlushLogFiles" menu command on the service. Without the "flushing", the execution seems
    to take unreasonably long, even "hanging"; with the "flushing", the execution seems to reach expected performance.
    Env Details:
    Forte Verson: 5.0.3
    OS: Unix Solaris 8.0

    I would check the C Library code and make sure you are not writing anything to standard output. That is the only thing I can think about that would cause this problem.

  • Applescript: "execute menu command" syntax

    Greetings,
    Anyone know the syntax for using:
    execute menu command v : executes a menu command using the menu shortcut string
    execute menu command
    menu command string text : menu command shortcut
    I can't figure out what string to use for the "menu command string" argument.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    I’m not an applescript guy, but the following link may help you with the concept: http://kasyan.ho.com.ua/open_menu_item.html . You may think I’ve lost my mind in that 1) it isn’t applescript and 2) it’s for InDesign, but my thoughts are that it may serve as basis for you to google what you need.

  • Any way to execute menu commands?

    I'd like to execute the equivalent functionality to some existing menu commands in Bridge from a Bridge script. In particular, I'd like to be able to turn off the favorites panel and the folders panel (View/Favorites Panel) and (View/Folders Panel). Using the published menu identifiers for them, I can tell if they are checked already (e.g. displayed already), but I haven't figured out how to actually call those commands.
    In case you are wondering why I'd like to turn thse off, I'm creating a new window/document and displaying a custom browse scheme. When using a custom browse scheme, the folders window shows nothing useful so I'd like to turn it off. Further, since I'm not displaying files and folders, I think it will be less confusing to users if they don't see the folders pane.
    Any ideas?
    --John

    Bummer. Another one for the feature request list.
    I'd actually like full scripting control of the chrome including setting a workspace, setting visibility of panels, access to the filter menu in the toolbar, etc...

  • Strange white rectangles appear behind "menu commands"

    When I hover over the menu commands in Photoshop or Illustrator (both CS2), white rectangles appear behind the Menu Commands and so cluttering the otherwise nice GUI. As I experienced this before on another computer but still have no clue what is going wrong could someone give me a clue what's going on here? I am using Windows XP Service Pack 2.
    kind regards,
    tomasio

    can you show a screen shot? try http://www.pixentral.com upload the screen shot and copy the url in your address bar to a post here.
    from your description it SOUNDS like it might be a display driver issue, but it's hard to tell. a screen shot might help someone nail it.
    might as well try updating your video driver to see if there's anything newer out there than what you're currently running.

  • Dreamweaver CC trial - no menu "commands - manage extensions" or "window - manage commands"

    Hi,
    I just installed the trial of DW CC as well as Extension Manager CC. I activated some extensions (zxp) but I don't see an extension bar or a menu "commands - manage extensions", both I know from DW CS4. Also no "window - manage extensions". Is this a limitation of the trial? I would really need to test my extensions.
    Thank you.

    Hi spryotone:
    See Dreamweaver Help | Add-Ons for installing extensions in DW CC 2014. If you have problems viewing your add ons later, see Newly installed add-ons not loaded | Dreamweaver CC 2014 to troubleshoot.
    Thanks,

  • Is the menu command ID global?

    Dear colleagues,
    the documentation describes how to add menus and commands and always uses command IDs 1, 2, 3...
    nMenu1.DefineAndAddCommand(1,"cmd1","command1","");
    nMenu2.DefineAndAddCommand(2,"cmd2","command2","");
    function Command(cmd) {
    switch (cmd) {
         case 1: alert("Command 1 executed"); break;
         case 2: alert("some other message"); break;
    To me it seems the command IDs should be unique throughout the session. If so, how can we easily create unique IDs?
    - Michael

    OK, the documentation says:
    The value must be unique for each command in your client, but need not be unique for different clients.
    As far as I understand, the ExtendScript support is a single client, so if I have scripts from multiple sources that all install menu commands I have to make sure they do not overlap. Or so it seems. It is easier with FDK, as every DLL is a separate client…
    I am thinking of a global numbering scheme…
