BPC NW7 sp03 installation(packages missing)

Hi
WE are installing BPC7.0 NW sp03 as per installation guide. Successed in installing BPC admin client, office client.
But at BPC excel interface, i observed few options are disabled.
Eg: Under  eData menu item many sub menu items are disabled(16 out of 19) as well for appset(appshell) and application(planning), when i chose to run data manage pakage, a dailog box comes with company folder, but no package groups and packages are exising. Not only for appset(appshell) and application(planning), but also i tried with custom appset & app combination also, i'm not viewing any package group & packages, what might be problem?
In backend(bw system), check system->status, for software component(CPMBPC), no support package is there? I know latest SP is sp08. Is datamager packages are not viewing, becoz of absence of support packages?
could anyone  help for post installation activity?
thanks,

Any suggestions please..

  • Unneeded packages missing at Oracle 11gR2 installation on RHEL6.3 x86_64

    Hi experts!!
I am getting a little bit puzzled when I am installing Oracle Database 11gR2 on my RHEL 6.3 server, which is x86_64.
I have read the installation doc (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/install.112/e24326/toc.htm) over and over again but I cannot get any clue to solve the problem I am facing: when I get to the 'Prerrequisite Checks' step at the installation, I get a message informing that I am missing some packages for i386, which shouldn't be necessary according to the documentation. The documentation says the next packages need to be installed for RHEL6 (all of them either for x86_64 or i686):
++The following or later version of packages for Oracle Linux 6, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 must be installed:++

However, having a look at the installation log for the packages installed, the Oracle installation is missing some packages for i386, but these infraestructure is not required at all for RHEL6:

If I ignore this warnings, at the next step the Oracle installation stops with an error. I am a little bit lost about how to do to solve this. Is there anybody who has faced the same situation?
Thanks in advance and kind regards,
    Guiller.

    Hi Srini!
You are totally right. I have downloaded the following 11gR2 version:
    11.2.0.1.0
However, having a look at the download page for Oracle databases, I guess that is the latest version I can find to download (if I don't have any kind of support with Oracle). Here it is the link I am using to download the software:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/downloads/index.html
Thank you very much and kind regards,

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • Cant install ITunes or Quick Time it says a file is missing that the installer package needs

Each time I try to install ITunes of Quick Time on my Windows XP machine with 2 gig of RAM and running service pack 3 it fails and says that a file the installer package needs is missing. How can I resolve this issue?

Your operating system is fine. No need to worry about that.
it fails and says that a file the installer package needs is missing.
What's the precise text of that message, please? (There's a few different ones I can think of that you might be getting.)

  • Installation package (*msi) missing

I am trying to upgrade my version of itunes and during installation I'm getting a rquest for the location of the installation package (*msi) for the previous version. I tried a search and found no file. How can I fix this?

doublechecking, kris. Is an itunes.msi missing, or is a different .msi missing? (In this context, nine different .msi files could possibly be being mentioned.)

  • I keep getting the following error message when I try to update my itunes, "There is a problem with this windows installer package. Aprogram run as part of the set up did not finish as expected.  Contact your support personnel or package vendor."

I keep getting the following error message when I try to update my itunes, "There is a problem with this windows installer package. Aprogram run as part of the set up did not finish as expected.  Contact your support personnel or package vendor."

Yes, I had found a similar solution also.  I'm running XP Pro, SP3.  I went Control Panels/ Add-Remove programmes/apple software update/ change/ repair.  Then run the 10.5 exe.
While the programme updated from version 8 of iTunes, my new iTunes is now a mess.  Not all of my music was in the same folder previously but it all showed up on iTunes.  Now many albums have been left out, some have only a few tracks and some have two copies of some tracks as well as having other tracks missing.  I haven't begun to work on that.

  • ITunes won't upgrade to10.5. Error message "There is a problem with the Windows installer package. Contact the package vendor". I need help.

    iTunes won't upgrade to10.5. I'm on 10.1.17.
When installing 10.5 it terminates with an error message "There is a problem with the Windows  installer package. Contact the package vendor".
It does not provide an error code or details/description to further troubleshoot. As a result I can't upgrade my Apple devices to leverage the cloud.
Any smarts out there who could help?
Using PC Win-7 w/IE 7 (should that matter)
    Thanks much

I know there's a million threads like this, but I thought I'd record my experience.  I, too, was having the original poster's error when I tried to update iTunes on Windows XP.  I think I was stuck on 10.
I solved it by un-installing iTunes and every other Apple app.  I discovered that Apple Software Update would not un-install as its MSI file could not be found.  I used the "Windows Install Cleanup" tool from Microsoft to remove Apple Software Update from the list of installed programs.  Google "kb290301" for a Microsoft page that includes a download link for it.  After that, I was able to install a fresh copy of iTunes 10.5.2.
I'm not sure why this app's folder and MSI were missing from my computer.  I had once used Laplink PC Mover to move everything from my old computer to this one, and perhaps it missed a bit.

  • New itunes install error - Installation package could not be opened. Verify

I Just bought a brand new computer last night. I am trying to install Itunes and get the following error. "This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists ad that you can access it, or contacnt the applicaiton vendor to verify that this is avalid windows installer package"
I am running windows 7 64 bit home premium. I have verified that i have downloaded the correct itunes version itunes64setup.exe
    So far i have tried
-downloading and installing all microsoft updates
-disabled all anti virus and firewall software,
    -rebooting and re-downloading
-tried installing quicktime first. (gives me the same error)
    -stopping and restarting windows installer
-deleted all items from the temp folder
-tried running itunes64setup.exe as admin and also in compatibility mode
-verified i have downloaded itunes64setup.exe with IE 64 bit
I am at a loss. I can not find any real solution for this problem. I am now 5 hours into trying to find an answer. This is a brand new computer and I have installed no other programs on it than what came out of the box.
Any help would be greatly appriciated!!

Well if anyone else runs into this problem, this is how i got it fixed.
I did a complete system restore to the origional factory default on the computer. I would not have thought that this would have been needed as it was brand new out of the box with nothing downloaded/changed on it.
However it worked. The only thing I can thing of, is that on the origional factory install of the software there may have been a corrupt or missing file that when I did a new install corected itself.
If you have the origional windows disk that came with the computer I would use that to completely reinstall windows. If you are like me and they didnt provide you a disk, I made a complete backup of the system to disk and made a recovery disk just to be safe before restoring the system.
Hopefully this is helpfull to someone.

  • Error on validating installation packages

Hi I got my brand new BB 9900. It´s my first BB so I wanted to synchronise it with my Lotus Notes Calender. Downloaded the Desktop Manager and tried to install it. But it won´t work always terminates with the message that he could not validate installation packages. I read something about installing the missing certificates manually. I tried but it won´t work. Why is RIM not able to provide software which you can download and it works. It always did with my Nokia, IPhone and others.
Sry but after owning a BB 2 days I´m really disappointed.
    Im using:
    Win XP Sp3
    User ist Administrator
    Downloaded:
    610_b038_multilanguage.exe

Today downloaded same software package from Blackbarry.com (US Site) Installation worked out fine....everything ok....
seems to be its only a problem of the package you download at the german site.....
or it was only a problem of yesterday...
