BPC webI

Hi,
we have a requirement to install web intelligence in SAP BPC NW 7.5. I am not sure where to start from. I didnt find any documentation from service market place or I may be looking at the wrong place. Any guidance will be highly appreciated.

Hi,
I am not a Webi expert, but, I know that the philosophy of both tools is really different :
- BPC (based on BW) is a Multi dimensional reporting tools,
- Webi (based on BO), is a relational database.
What I see is that, with BPC, it is really easy to retreive data crossing dimensions. Although, with BO, you will need to create new specifics indicators with management rules to do this.
My question : Why do you need to do so, although, BPC allows this very easily ?

How to post a XCelsius in the BPC Web Application Getting Started page

Hi Experts,
I'm new using BPC 7.5 on NetWeaver. When opening the Getting Started tab in the BPC Web Application there is a white page that I would want to fill with content. This content should be a XCelsius Dashboard linked to the Query or InfoCube on which I`m planning. Creating the XCelsius Dashboard is not the problem, but to insert it in the Getting Started panel of the BPC Web application. Has anyone an idea how to do it or how to proceed. Ideas or a little how-to would be perfect.

Error Launching BPC Adminstrator & BPC Web

Hi All,
I have just installed BPC 5.1 and getting the following error when trying to launch BPC Administrator & BPC Web
"DetailMsg : {Index (zero based) must be greater than or equal to zero and less than the size of the argument list.}"

A Simple Restart did the magic.

BPC WEB Report

In BPC web report , i can able to see the Activity data options ...
But i cant able to see the Audiit activity report information in the my application set
Please how to enable the Audit data report in the BPC Web..............

BPC Web Page not access from Client

Dear Experts,
We have BPC QA system installed in multi environment DB server and APP server,
the issue is :
the BPC Web Page is able to access from App server localhost (http://appserver IP/osoft/)
but client not able to access the BPC Web Page from the client machine
it showing error bellow . I have check the security and .Net version in IIS and compare with BPC development which is installed in single environment without any issue, Kindly need advice on what
need to be check in the APP Server and DB server.

Hi,
This error usually means that the user doesnt have the proper authorizations. So please login to the appset with the ADMIN ID and check the task profile and the member access profile of the user. Assign appropriate authorizations.

BPC Web - create Web ready files

Hi,
Using BPC Web (my system BPC 75 SP04, MS version) how can I create a web page using one of my Excel templates (the ones created for the application, to upload data)...
I've tried searching the templates inside Web ready Files but doesnt work for me... the only files available that appear are Temp.txt

BPC Web Interface

Hi,
I'm got an strong assumption and just want to validate with experts before putting this as an option to the client.
We want to access BPC input schedules and reports (developed using EVDRE function) through web interface. Users should be able to input data through web interface instead of logging into BPC for Excel.
To achieve the above requirement, we just need to publish the input schedules and reports to the content library and then we use the generated URL to access the respective input schedule/report through portal ?
Another question is: as BPC is service enabled, can we access the BPC input schedules and reports without SAP portal too?

1. When you refer to LiveWeb you are refering to the web based report of BPC?
Under the Portal Publication button in Excel EPM in version 10 there is a prompt for BI Launch pad or BPC Documents View. Documents view results in an error.
Where you successful in converting from Excel to Web in version 10?

When I walk by http://servidor:port/Osoft
and indicates the user ID and Paswan, I get the following error:
"The user ID, password not can be authenticated. Make sure You entered valid credentials"
In contrast, if entered by the Client or BPC Excel interface I can validate without problems.
I tried with many users, and in all cases is the same.
BPC in the diagnosis of server, It is all ok
My environment is a migration of BPC7.0 NW BPC7.5 sp5 IIS 6 to IIS6 NW

Cannot launch BPC Web Page

Hi all,
I just installed BPC7 for MS. i was able to complete the requirements, and successfully install BPC7 on windows 2003 and MS SQL 2008. however, i cannot access the BPC home page, http://servername:8080/osoft.
I am able to view http://servername:8080/Reports and http://servername:8080/ReportServer.
I encounter NO errors whenever i run Server Manager Diagnostics for BPC. I checked the services, and all are started, I changed the values in IIS as stated in the manual. I have restarted the machine also.

I am able to launch the BPC Home page now. First, I repaired my ASP.net config for IIS
To repair IIS mappings for ASP.NET using Aspnet_regiis.exe
From the Start menu, click Run.
In the Open box in the Run dialog box, type cmd, and then click OK.
At the command prompt in the new window, type the following line:
"%systemroot%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\version\aspnet_regiis.exe" u2013i
where version is 1.1.4322
second, i changed the port no. in the web.config file found under the BPC installation directory:
<add key="AppServer_URL" value="http://SAPBPCDEV:PORT/OSoft/app"/>
<add key="AppServer_AUTH" value="2"/>
the port no. should be the same as the port no. configured in IIS.
So relieved now after 2days of troubleshooting! Thanks!

BPC 5.0.502 BPC Web Error Message: Exxception of Type System out of memory

In the process of updating a web page in the content library, page crashed received an error message of "Exception of type System out of memory. Exception was throw". What does this mean? We are now unable to open this sheet without receiving the prior message. Any remadies would be appreciated.

    Did you receive this specific error message only managing that web page or for all pages?
    Did you try to stop all COM+ components on the application servers(on each if you are using more). It looks to be related to some memory problems.
    If the problem is related to a specific web page, the problem can be related to the content of that web page.

Work Status --ABAP error at BPC Web Interface

the Work Status settings. When selecting Active CV or Another CV and
then clicking on the arrow at right the error message that pops up
says:

Hyperlinks in Web Admin Client not working | BPC 10

Hi all
We are running:
BPC10
SP 13
IE9
Office 2010
2 of our admin users have been haviing problems with the 'Launch' menu on the homepage of the BPC web interface homepage.
This happens several times per day and in different environments. but there does not appear to be a pattern which might cause this. Once the problem happens (no links can be launched in the launch menu) the user has to log off and then back on. The user is trying to click the link "Planning and Consolidation Administration" when this happens
Has anyone else experienced this problem ? Any suggestions on how to fix / capture the error ?

Problem with web BPC after installing BPC 7.0

We have installed BPC 7.0 for Microsoft. Diagnostics in Server Manager showed that everything is OK. But when we open BPC for Web an such error occurs:
Server Error in '/OSoft' Application.
Compilation Error
Description: An error occurred during the compilation of a resource required to service this request. Please review the following specific error details and modify your source code appropriately.
Compiler Error Message: BC30456: 'Security' is not a member of 'Microsoft'.

To fix this issue, you will need to install the Microsoft Anti-Cross Site Scripting Library, which provides protection to Web-based applications against Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks.
You can download it at the following URL:

After having installed it, you will need to copy AntiXssLibrary.dll to <BPC_folder>\Websvr\Web\bin on both the BPC Application server and the BPC Web server.
You can find more information about this process in the Installation Guide for SAP Business Planning and Consolidation 7.0, version for the Microsoft platform (p.24-25).

BPC 10.1 Web administration links doesn't work

All,When lon on BPC Web.Click administration.Can not open any links.As notes 2053377.Can not solve the issue yet.

did you apply the post delete steps:
Open the web browser and clear the client side cache.
Input URL http://<server>:<port>/sap/epm/bpc/web/clearcache
( set <server> as your system host name, set <port> as your system
port number).
Input URL http://<server>:<port>/sap/epm/bpc/web/resetcachebuster
( set <server> as your system host name, set <port> as your system
port number).
It is important to clear and reset the cache afterwards for the links to work in your browser.
Have you tested on other client machines to see if no one can still access the links?
Have you tried with other browsers besides Microsoft Internet Explorer?
If the issue is still occuring and is generalized to all client machines please use the F12 key to turn on Internet Explorer debugging and see what error messages you see in the Console view. If they are still the same as described in Note 2053059 and you are sure you ave deleted the duplicate folders (and that you are connecting to the web URL for that environment and not a different environment which you have not cleared yet) then please open a Support Incident and we will investigate further.

SAP BPC 10.0 Web Client Blank Screen after login

Hi ALL,
We are using SAP BPC 10.0 Web Client with Adobe Flash Player 13.0.0.214 with IE 9.0 on Windows 7.0.
We face strange error where on only on certain PC, the BPC web client working.. On other getting Blank/Blank Screen after login (with "movie not loaded" on the adobe flash player).. Both PCs are having the same setting.
Even one of PC which previously working, starting this week suddenly getting the same error.. I have created OSS message and got feedback with also share this problem on this forum.
I have done several actions as mentioned on several SAP notes )1624267, 1664889, 1681147, 1694871, 1752971, 1798336, 1804221, 1806371, 1811218, 1820505, 1918631, 1968584), but still no luck..
If you have the same issue, kindly share..

Yes .. Compatibility View also checked.. in several PCs, it is working well. both failed and working PCs have the same setting.
Just found another weird: in one working PC, 2 different windows local-admin users login to the same PC for BPC-web and getting different result (1 Ok ; 1 failed) ..seems it is related with the user profile and login-domain servers (we have multiple login-domain servers with load balancing mechanism).
