BPE adapter unknown message

Hi
I get an error in MONI" BPE adapter unknown message " .scenario is working fine in development system .And just now imported the configurations in quality system .
SXI_CACHE RETURN CODE IS 0
DELETED AND REIMPORTED THE PROCESS AGAIN
i have check transaction enabled for all teh steps in BPM in dev sysem ..Would it be a possible reason
and does it have any linkage to authorizations .. since I retransferred the change list to my name from some one else and activated but with no errros

Any specific requirement to do this?....if no then remove the checkbox entry....just the Start Process checkbox should be enabled for the first step (receive step)

BPE adapter : message not used by any process

hi frnds,
I've created 2 scenarios using BPM
1) merge scenario: 2 msgs ==> BPM ==> 1 msg
1st msg is going without any problem. but 2nd msg is giving error saying 'BPE ADAPTER ERROR: message not used by any process'. i checked in sxi_cache and found that return code for Intg'n process is 0 only. but still i tried reactivating. but no use
2) split scenario: 1 msg ==> BPM ==> 2 msgs
sender msg is going without any problem,but not receiving 2 rcvr msgs to the target directory. return code of IP is 0 and no other errors.
after installing PI on my system, for the first time i'm trying BPM scenarios. simple file to file working properly. BPE adapter has to be activated manually or i missed any initial configuration??? pls help me to resolve this.

I have used the following steps in BPM for this scenario xml file ==> BPM ==>xml file
1) data types: a)send_dt
                        b) rcv_dt
2) msg types a) send_mt
                        b)rcv_mt
3) interfaces   : send_ob_im
                          send_abs_im
                          rcv_abs_im
                          rcv_ib_im
in integration process,
start ==> receive ==> send ==> stop
so in general its like,
send CC ==> send OB I/F ==> send ABS I/F ==> rcv ABS I/F ==> rcv IB I/F ==> rcv CC
when i'm not using BPM, outbound queue SMQ1 is empty and messages are not stickking up there. but if i use BPM, SMQ1 is having entry saying 'SYSFAIL'. for the first time i'm doing the BPM scenarios.

Error in BPE Adapter

I Want to Know How to Configure BPE Adapter.
I have Done the Scenario of Arpit's given in WEBLOG File to RFC to File using BPM.
I m getting the Following Error.

XI 3.0 SR1 = SP 9.
Until SP 9 to activate a BPM in cache you need an access key (which can be requested from SAP), An access key is needed to create/change the custom programs. SAP realized that BPM is not a program rather it is configuration they corrected it with OSS Note 708338.
To apply the note, you have to configure the OSS1 transaction and go to SNOTE transaction and apply the note.

Select your integration process which you created in IR and activate.
again you will get the return code is 2 and again activate your integration process until you will get the return code is '0'.
Prerequisite for BPM : check tcode : SWF_XI_CUSTOMIZING
all are in green hook , if not get all are green hook

Error from BPE Adapter using in Async Sync scenario

Hi,
I'm trying to use a Asyn Sync pattern with BPM:
1)File adapter get a file from AS400, split it several XML messages and send to XI(Async)
2)XI get each message and forward to BPM using XI adapter
3)BPM has to send the message to R/3 via BAPI (Sync)
4)R/3 reply the result message to BPM(Sync)
5)BPM has to send the result message to e-mail system if an error had occurred in BAPI call (Async)
When I send directly from File adapter to R/3 works like a charm, but when I want use the BPM, a soap header error says to me, that cannot identify a data type that Im using in the message sent by File adapter.
The error that I'm getting is BPE Adapter UNKNOWN_MESSAGE in soap header.

I got the same problem after installing new patches.
This is what I had to do:
Go to SXI_CACHE
- Choose Business Processes
- select your Buisness Process
If your buisness process has Return Code 99
- Click "Repeate Activate" button
- On the next screen, click Activate again.
This worked for me. Good Luck!

UNKNOWN MESSAGE error in BPM

One of the scenario with bpm is working fine.
But in one scenario i am getting the error

Where you are facing this issue? In PROD or QA?
Did you tried to remove the locks, and re-activate it? I would say go to SM12 in Abap stack and check what's the corresponding object got locked! But before doing it, please let us know that u r not doing this in PROD. Coz, I don't want to suggest you this approach in PROD.

Unknown Message in JDBC- XI- RFC using ccBPM

Hi, I try to create a scenario using BPM. It seems, that the message is sent from the JDBC adapter to the BP Engine correctly, but then I get the unknown message error.
Does anybody know, how to solve the problem?

The message is not reaching the BPM. The BPM would not have actiavted properly. Refer to the following thread that tells you a step-by-step procedure to rectify your problem. Refer to SridharNatrajan's reply..

XSLT Mapping of Adapter-Specific Message Attributes

We have the requirement to build a soap request with a custom soap envelop/header which contains a sessionId.
Therefore we developed a xlst mapping which is called directly after a graphical mapping.
In the graphical mapping the session id is written to the dynamic configuration.
The goal is to read this session id in the xslt mapping from the dynamic configuration using XSLT Mapping of Adapter-Specific Message Attributes. We used [this|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/43/03fe1bdc7821ade10000000a1553f6/content.htm] documentation as an example.

Hi, yes we did try that and lot's of other combination.
The results of those trials are that it seems to go wrong with <xsl:variable name="dynamic-conf" select="map:get($inputparam, 'DynamicConfiguration')" />
When we enclose it with <xsl:if test="function-available('map:get')"> the transformation is not dumping, but the function is not available.

Error unknown message when saving ai file

Several days ago I got an external hard drive to backup. Had an error message saying all wasn't saved right. I use CS2 suite, all works fine except my illustrator files will not save as ai. They will save as jpeg, pdf, eps, but not ai. Error unknown message window popsup. Also 3/4 of my file names have turned from black to blue. I have reinstalled CS2 and this didn't fix the problem. What went wrong? How can this be fixed? I'm working on a book using Illustrator files alot.

PC - Windows, no fonts were installed. Only the ai files are affected. But nearly 3/4 of all file extension names have changed from black to blue. No big deal on that, but the ai saving is very upsetting.

Adapter-specific message attributes for the JMS Receiver adapter

We are trying to activate some parameters at message level when SAP XI sent an interface (XML data) to IBM Websphere MQ. Programmaticaly, this is done the following way:

This code is working fine.
Since the documentation about this feature (Adapter-specific message attributes) is very light, We am not sure about the interpretation we made.
First, we defined the following attributes: MS_IBM_Report_Exception, JMS_IBM_Report_Expiration, JMS_IBM_Report_COA, JMS_IBM_Report_COD, JMS_IBM_Report_Discard_Msg. All of them are with type int.
Then we changed the mapping (XSL) to pass the value to the dynamic configuration, using the technical names (DCJMSMessageProperty0, ..., DCJMSMessageProperty4) and the value of the constants. We also specified a value in the Reply To Queue parameter of the adapter. As a test, We also change another parameter via the mapping (the correlation ID, to use the idoc number) and according to the log of the processed message, every thing is finde. According to the trace of the JMS adapter, everything is fine to. However, this has no impact on the message, only the correlation ID is changed.
The JMS server is IBM Websphere MQ (v6.0.2.1). It is already in production and working fine. This is a change we have been asked to implement.
Has anyone experience with the JMS receiver adapter-specific message attrbitutes ? What have we done wrong ?

Java Mapping (not UDF) and Adapter-Specific Message Attributes

Hello everybody,
is it possible to create an Adapter-Specific Message Attributes in a java Mapping?
I found in the SAP Help that the API com.sap.aii.mapping.api.DynamicConfiguration allows only to read, change or delete the attributes.

How to set adapter specific message attributes on Pi 7.1 inside a Java map.

Hello,
how can I set adapter specific message attributes in a Java mapping on PI 7.1.? The TransformationInput grants access to the DynamicConfiguration but the TransformationOutput doesn't. I have found threads refering to the old way of implementing Java mappings (e.g. Get dynamic filename in a Java Mapping (NOT UDF)). But there doesn't seem to be one refering to the actual PI.

JMS adapter: Adapter specific message attributes

Hi,
I have a synchronous SOAP to JMS (MQ series) scenario where Im using sync/async bridge (without BPM).
I need to correlate the message being put on JMS queue (JMS receiver adapter) and the response (JMS sender adapter).
The standard receiver JMS adapter only allows the JMS correlation ID to be set to one of three different values (excluding NULL). 2 of these (reference and conversation ID) will be empty in my scenario, leaving me with only the XI message ID. This ID however exceeds the length of ie. the JMS correlation ID and thus isnt suitable for correlating anything using the field JMS Correlation ID.
NB: it is of no use to try and set the conversation ID at mapping time (using container object) since the changed value only is available during mapping execution.
Surely one way of setting the conversation ID would be to use an adapter module in SOAP sender, but this is not an option. Also the sender system will not provide one either.
Now the problem isnt setting the JMS correlation ID dynamically at runtime (this is achieved without trouble using the dynamic configuration API with the key DCJMSCorreleationID). The problem is to actually have XI correlate the request with the response.
Since the JMS collelation ID is smaller than the XI message ID and the conversation and reference ID isnt available, what I figure is that I need to find a MQ message property to use and then use the Set MSProperty to part instead this property surely needs to be large enough to contain the XI message ID.

where a list of fields in the message descriptor is available figuring I can just use one of these. Looking through the list I notice the field MDRQ (Name of reply queue, 48-byte character string) should be able to hold the XI message ID. So I add MDQR in the Specify additional JMS message properties and set the Java Type to String and also enter this field in the Correlation Setting of the receiver JMS adapter.
Runtime:
When looking in MDT I see:
New JMS message will be correlated with the XI message. Correlation rule: XI_MESSAGEID, correlated property: JMS property MDRM, correlation value: 36158680-5a0c-11dc-8c14-000f203cd3c8
I looks like a success! No data is however set in the field when looking at messages being put on MQ.
If I increase the trace level of the JMS adapter I can see (in defaultTrace) the following:
Cannot read the switch setting for property name DCJMSStringProperty0, switch name dynConfigDCJMSStringProperty0. It is switched off.
What does this error mean?
I have of course clicked Use adapter Specific Message-Attributes and also the Specify additional. In other words everything look ok in configuration.
Since Ive also put a check mark in Fail if adapter specific message attributes is missing I can see that I successfully put a value (using dynamic conf. at mapping time) in the field... but still something isnt right the value of the property never reached MQ.
Now Ive tried with a couple of fields in the message descriptor from the previous URL. XI complains all the time.
Anybody got some ideas?
