BPEL Designer 2.2 Install

I've got past the Eclipse platform but when I hit the "Choose JDK Folder" I get "Invalid Java SDK Version"; however, I have installed the SUN JDK 1.5.0_02 as suggested.
The BPEL Designer install wants a JDK >= version 1.4.1
Any suggestions?

1.5 is currently not supported, the install notes should read 1.4.x where x>=1

How to open bpel designer?
I installed bpel process manager 10.1.3.1 and oracle fusion middleware (contains jdeveloepr).
Opended service like this
start menu>Allprograms>oracle- orabpel1 >oracle process manager>start bpel PM server
Later opened console like this
start menu>Allprograms>oracle- orabpel1 >oracle process manager>bpel console
bpel console came and asking username and password.
username:oc4jadmin
password:oc4jadmin(tried without password also).
massage as Authentication failed.
i dint find any bpel desinger. how to open designer. is it correct process.

As you told jdevloper and soa suite version should be same..
if upgrade soa suite to 10.1.3.4, there is no version of jdeveloper(only 10.1.3.3).

Problem in installing BPEL Designer 2.2 for eclipse

As I said it in the topic, when I want to install the plugin "Oracle BPEL Designer 2.2" for eclipse, I got an error message
" The version of the eclipse platforms installed in C:\Program Files\eclipse must be at least 3.0 (release)"
My problem is that I have installed eclipse 3.1 ...

This might be caused by the fact the fact that you have the platform version of eclipse. BPEL PM requires the SDK version (full download ~87MB).

Integration of custom identity services with JDeveloper BPEL designer

Hi,
I'd like to know if a custom user repository plugin will cause the 'Identity Lookup Dialog' (Step 6 of Human Workflow Wizard to generate a user task) to utilize the list of users and groups from a third party provider, when used as the Custom Identity Service provider.
I'd like to have the custom list of users and groups at 'design time' of the BPEL process itself, as well as process runtime. Is this possible?
This is with respect to both BPEL PM v10.2.0.2 and v 10.1.3.1.0.

But the installation of the Oracle BPEL Process Manger for Developers which includes the JDeveloper and the BPEL Designer doesn't come with 10.1.3.1.0?

I had downloaded Oracle bpel process manager and installed on my desktop but I am unable to find jdeveloper bpel designer shiped with process manager.

Follow the steps which I have mentioned.If you want to start with BPEL you can do either of the two things.
1) If you are interested in only BPEL then download and install BPEL server from oracle site. For coding you need to have Jdeveloper.
or
2) If you want to use all the components of SOA then download version 10.1.3.1 and install SOA suite. Apply Patch to upgrade version to 10.1.3.3.
After installation of server, download Jdeveloper 10g and Unzip the file to use it.

Required Java Version 1.4.1 available 1.3.1_01 when launching BPEL Designer

I just installed BPEL Process Manager 10.1.2 and BPEL Designer 0.9.13. The eclispe I have is 3.1.2 for windows. I started BPEL Process Manager first, then I tried to start BPEL Designer, I got an error "Required Java Version 1.4.1 available 1.3.1_01". I have J2SE Development Kit 5.0 Update 6 installed, why do I still get this error?
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

I am getting the same error message. But when I try the command mentioned above
(eclipse -vm c:\jdk1.4.2\jre\bin\javaw -vmargs -Xmx256M) it says eclipse is not a valid internal or external command.
I am running this from command prompt at D:\.
Eclipse is unzipped at D:\Program Files. I am not able to move to Program Files directory as CD Program Files does not work. Please help

Invalid Eclipse platform version - BPEL Designer

Hello, when I try to install the BPEL designer, I get a popup "Invalid Eclipse platform version", "The version of the Eclipse platform installed at C:\Java\eclipse must be at least 3.0 (release)". I have Eclipse 3.0.1. Thank you.

Problem solved using solution given for topic "BPEL plug-in not installing on eclipse 3.0.1". Not sure why I couldn't find this topic in the first place, before submitting one of my own....

Eclipse BPEL Designer

Hi all.
After succesfully installation of BPEL PM i have installed Eclipse 3.2.0!
Then I installed the eclipese BPEL Designer Plugin.
When I try to craete a new "Oracle BPEL Project" by default, nothing was there.
The only possibility I see is "File -> NEW -> Other -> BPEL 2.0. There is the possibility to select "New BPEL Process File".
But when I try to finish this possibility nothing happens!
Knows anybody what went wrong?

Need BPEL Designer 10.1.3.4.0

I have JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0 with BPEL Designer 10.1.3.3.0 ... how can I get BPEL Designer 10.1.3.4.0 (Build 080146.1400)?
With BPEL Designer 10.1.3.3.0, I don't see the option to choose "Existing BluePrint template" in the BPEL Project Creation Wizard.

10.1.3.4 doesn't have the blue print either, you need to get this from the BPA install. There is a zip file called pcbpel_bundle.zip this is applied to JDev via the updates function on the help. Do not unzip just poit to the file.
Here are the older JDev versions if required.

You can't use BPA 11g with JDev 10g and vice versa.
Also remember that your JDev and SOA Suite must be the same version.

Need BPEL Designer to integrate with jDEV 11g

I am using jDeveloper 11g:
Oracle JDeveloper 11g 11.1.1.0.0
Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.0.0
I have BPEL Process manager 10.1.3.1 but it did not come bundled with BPEL Designer. I am unable to use jDev 11g as the designer for BPEL Process Manager. I tried to install this extension: Update for the Oracle BPEL Designer and related Integration Tier components. Build:
PCBPEL_MAIN_GENERIC_070328.0800. But the install errors out:

JDev 11g 111 with BPEL designer - cant connect to BPA Server

I have just installed the latest 11g JDeveloper and added the BPEL designer.
I notice that in the composite designer I can connect to or create a connection to the BPA server.
I have BPA designer 10.1.3.3...which I used with JDeveloper 10.1.3.1. This is running on my local PC.
However I am not able to create a connection to it in the latest Jdeveloper.
When I try to add a BPA server, as soon as I select Local server (as opposed to Remote).. it tries to connect and fails :

The problem still seems to persist, despite the version change. I have tried with JDev ver 11g and Oracle BPA 11gR1. I test the connection. Result Test Succeeded. But when I click on the OK button, it does not close the dialogue box and allow me to proceed. I need to cancel and hence unable to establish connection .

BPEL Designer / BPEL PM on different Linux distribution

Dear all,
I just installed Ubuntu/Debian and want to use JDeveloper with the BPEL designer included. As I could not find a JDeveloper plugin, I tried to install the whole thing the usual way - together with the BPEL PM. However the installation script exits, because my distribution (GNU/Linux) is not supported. What are my options? Is there any place where I can download the plugin for an already existing JDeveloper, is there any way to tweak the installation script to get it working for me or can I simply extract JDeveloper somehow from the installation files of the BPEL PM?

Some questtion in BPEL Designer

jdk : 1.4.1_05
Eclipse: Version 3.0.0 ,Build id :200406251208
I have install bpelz_1.0_win32.exe successful,and I can build a new BPEL project,but I have some problems.
When I open the bpel project,the XXX.bpel can not explore in bpel designer UI,there are two errors in logs.
1.bpelz.html trapped at 18:'undefined'{}
2.bpelz.html trapped at 575:'gZoomSlider' is null or not a object{}
ps.my bpel server not install completed.
Have someone seen this problem??
