BPEL integration with OBIEE

Hi
What are the steps to integrate with OBIEE using BPEL?
We are going to integrate with Web Center Interaction at the other end.
I really appreciate if you can share if you have a document or instructions / links on how the same be achieved

Me too followed the same link and successfully imported all the users from AD into OBIEE and login in is also possible.
But my requirement is to have Single Sign On ie.., users may log on to their Windows PCs and access Oracle BI EE via a standard web browser with no further authentication required on their part.

I do not know whether obiee can use Oracle LSH as a source or not but please refer below link. It says that
1) Users can then launch the Oracle Business Intelligence Dashboard
either through Oracle LSH or through a URL to see data visualizations.
2)
Oracle LSH Release 2.2 supports using OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1 for both programs and
visualizations and OBIEE 11.1.1.5.0 for visualizations only.

Unable to access the following endpoint(s)

BI Publisher Performance integrated with OBIEE 11g

Has anyone seen issues around the performance of rendering the BI Publisher frame when it is integrated with an OBIEE dashboard (11g)?
If I create a simple BI Publisher off a simple data model (Select 1 from dual). I open the BIP report within the BI Publisher environment (XmlpServer) and it opens in seconds.
When I open this same report within the OBIEE Web Catalog or place it on a dashboard page I have seen it take upwards of 40-50 seconds to render the frame then the report. The time seems to me more around rendering the frame.
Usually when you initiate your first session you see the longest rendering time, subsequent runs of the report are lower but still higher then the few seconds it takes in the BIP environment.
Has anyone else seen this issue, we opened a ticket with Oracle and it seems they are leaning toward creating a BUG around this. Just wanted to see what others were experiencing and if they identified the source of the issue. Thanks.

Hi Dustin,
The FMW security model in BI Publisher means it is integrated into OBIEE - I believe it's the default. If you're using authenticating and authorising via weblogic then I can't think of a good reason to use BI Server authentication in publisher, you should be using FMW security.
In answer to your question tThere was no bug raised. The work around for us was using document 1338007.1. In your case that doesn't seem necessary since you're using OVD already.
Edit - should just add that if your OVD authentication is set up in the repository then you need to shift that to the weblogic server security model and remove any authentication logic from the repository. After that the FMW security model for publisher should work.

Vignette integration with OBIEE reports

Hi all,
Can OBIEE porlets integrated with Vignette portals
oracle recommends only "Oracle Portal 10.1.4.x","Oracle WebCenter 10.1.3.2","IBM WebSphere Portal Server 5.1, 6.0"
as JSR-168 compliant portals
if it is possible ,please let me know how to configure it?

Oracle IRM integration with OBIEE

The IRM integration with Beehive was developed by and is maintained by the Beehive team, you may be able to get more help on the Beehive forums (http://forums.oracle.com/forums/category.jspa?categoryID=180). In the meantime I'll try to answer your query to the best of my knowledge.
The ClassificationId can be can be any text that you wish to use to identify the beehive classification e.g. Beehive Classification ID.
The ClassificationLabelName should be used to identify the Beehive classification to the user, it will be displayed in the IRM user interfaces in places such as the information bar.
The ClassificationSystemID and KeySetUUID values should each be set to their own UUID. You can generate one on linux using uuidgen.
The DesktopSyncURI and the DesktopURI values should be set to the IRM classification url e.g. https://irm.example.com:16101/irm_desktop.
The IrmDesktopServiceEndPoint should be set to the IRM server url followed by /irm_sealing/desktop_services e.g. https://irm.example.com:16101/irm_sealing/desktop_services.
The IrmSealingServiceEndPoint should be set to the IRM server url followed by /irm_sealing/sealing_services e.g. https://irm.example.com:16101/irm_sealing/sealing_services.
The IrmUserName should be a valid user that can log into IRM and Beehive
The IrmUserPassword should be the password for the above account
The other values can be left blank.
The ClassificationServices error from IRM is likely to be related to the xml file in the classification plug-in jar file. The most frequent causes of those have been where XML editors have reformatted the example configuration changing things like

The fussy XML parser then refuses to parse the UUID properly because of the surrounding whitespace. This is most likely to be a problem with fields that take UUIDs, so probably just worth checking those first.

We are trying to integrate Mapviewer with OBIEE (10.1.4.3.1), I have gone through the documentation but I couldn't find any documentation on how to deploy mapviewer using IIS.
Please correct me if I am wrong, I heard that Map viewer doesn't work with IIS ??? Then how I deploy the Mapviewer. Any inputs are highly appreciated.

ADF 11.1.2.3 integration with OBIEE

Hi. I see that OBIEE integration is at most 11.1.2.7
But I am on Jdeveloper 11.1.2.3.
Is there an integration for 11.2.3?

You should probably get a clarification for this on the OBIEE forum - but AFAIK the latest BI integration in JDeveloper is in JDeveloper 11.1.1.7 that aligns with the latest BI version.

BPEL Integration with Mainframes

I am integrating BPEL with mainframes which would generate a cobol copy book using an FTP adapter at a particular location in mainframe (NTACF.ICCMH.IC100810.IC19.TRANS<+1>).i am encountering a problem as when bpel is trying to create a file it's appending '/' before the path mentioned above .like (/NTACF.ICCMH.IC100810.IC19.TRANS<+1>) and bpel process is getting errored out.
please help me out in resolving out

BPEL Integration with Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD)

Hi,
Can anyone explain me how to integrate an OVD with BPEL ( i.e., with app
server) for retrieving worklist users for human workflow process, as my user
details are scattered in two different LDAP, so that i can have OVD as single point

Sorry I miss read the initial post, white paper below states that it is possible, but no instrunctions. This is more to do with web services manager. Not sure if you are asking for Console authentication.

Iam trying connect to Siebel CRMOD webservice which is across SSL to create an Service Request.I have a ServiceRequest.wsdl with me, What is best practices to follow to create Service Request in seibel, How does the username and password passed to siebel and do we need to install the crmod certificate in the weblogic server.Please let me know, I many trying out many options without getting any results.

Hi Vikky,
Make sure that your BPEL wsdl has only one schema element.
If you have many imports with each in one schema element ...modify them and put all in one schema element.
And another thing is your request XSD should in same folder where you are placing BPEL WSDL.

BPEL integration with ESB

How does the BPEL layer talk to the dusion middleware ? Is it just thru partner links or other channels like messaging available ?

I think BPEL is based on ESB, AS and Database. And we can use BPEL and ESB as web service.
