BPEL Make Version problem

Hi All,
This may be a simple problem but I am lost here. This is what i am trying to do, I want to compile the BPEL process without deploying it to any server. As per the BPEL documentation you can use make from JDeveloper of that particular project, this is working fine except the problem is it creates a jar file with the version as current date and time. For eg it creates jar file like bpel_xxx_vYYYY_MM_DD.jar. I want to specify the version during make but I don't see any option of specifying that in the jdev.
From what I have read make uses Oracle Java Compiler and I can also use it from command prompt but I donot want to do it since all the env variables need to be set properly with corresponding versions. Please shed some light.

Thanks for your reply. But when I do a make it doesn't even execute the compile target in Build file. I tried echoing the existing revision number in build.xml file from environment variable. But it doesn't even go to the compile target there, I don't see the echo when i do a make, but when i run the compile target seperately I see the echo. Does make do the compile based on build.xml file. But its not working.
Please let me know if u need more info

BPEL FTP Adapter problems

Hi!
I have two problem using the FTP Adapter in a BPEL process.
The first can be described as follow: I have a BPEL process that incapsulates the FTP Adapter and it is deployed correctly on the BPEL default domain. It's working fine in a normal context with no error. Now I want to simulate a "read FTP Server" crash; so I put the FTP Server from which I'm reading off-line. When the GET module of the FTP Adapter tries to poll the server, it generates a Null Pointer Exception and on the server command window I can read, after a while, that the process state will be set to OFF. But when I enter in the console I always see the state ON! But the interesting question is: is there an automatic way to recovery the process and to restart it? I see that in the domain parameter there are two values: rcvAgentDelay (7200) and rcvThreshold (600). I tried to set them to some other values, for example (120) and (10), but the process still remains "blocked" and no new polling seems to happen.
The second problem is about the creation and the deploying on a new domain. I create a new domain called "bulk" and I tried to deploy my process on it but I can't do it due to the generation of many exception! Can I deploy a process with a FTP Adapter component inside on a domain different from the default one? And if the response is positive, like I think, can you summarize the most important steps of it and if I must configure some specific domain parameters?

Here are the details requested:
Operation System = Windows XP Pro SP2
BPEL Process Manager = 10.1.2
BPEL Server version = 2.2 (build 1361)
JDeveloper version = 10.1.2 (build 1811)
BPEL Designer version = 10.1.2 (build 050322)
Usually after any modification I'm used to restarting the BPEL server.
Today I have downloaded the "Oracle JDeveloper 10g (10.1.3) - Developer Preview" (I think to be the Post Beta 3) and as soon as possible I will try to use it.

Service pack versioning problem

Can anyone help me solve service pack versioning problem please. This
problem may solve some of my other problems.
I am trying to check if my service pack has been installed properly or not.
I issue following command from command prompt:
C:\>java weblogic.Admin t3://localhost:7001 VERSION
I get the following error: "Failed to connect to t3://localhost:7001 due to:
[java.net.ConnectException: No server found at T3://localhost:7001]"
At this time, I have weblogic 5.1 installed with service pack 2 installed.
If I run server seems to be running, and connecting to my
database.Eventually I am planning to upgrade to SP6 and run with jdk1.3.
2nd problem: When I make JAVA_HOME= JDK1.3, wls does not run.

WLAS5.1 does not run once I change JAVA_HOME TO "C:\jdk1.3.0_02", that
where I have jdk1.3

A solution for Secure Static Versioning problem in 1.5.0_10

I have JRE 1.3.1_09 and 1.5.0_10 on my computer and I think I have solved static versioning problem.
My test computer:
- Windows XP sp2
- Internet Explorer 7 (on another computer also IE 6)
- Firefox 2.0.0.1
- JRE 1.3.1_09
- JRE 1.5.0_10
I. Solution for Internet Explorer 6 and Internet Explorer 7
1. Edit registry and add:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Deployment\Policy
DWORD: EnableSecureStaticVersioning = 0 (Hex)
2. Restart browser if started.
3. Start web page with java applet.
II. Solution for Firefox 2.0.0.1:
1. Install 1.3 JRE in the same parent directory as 1.5 JRE.
Because default default installation path for 1.5 JRE is C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_10 you need to modify
1.3 installation path from default C:\Program Files\JavaSoft\JRE\1.3.1_09 to C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.3.1_09
After installation check out that "bin" directory is in the following path:
C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.3.1_09\bin
2. Install 1.5 JRE in default installation directory: C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_10.
After installation check out that "bin" directory is in the following path:
C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.3.1_09\bin
3. Restart browser if started.
4. Start web page with java applet.
Note: HTML page must use <object> tabs for Internet Explorer or <embed> tabs for any other browser (e.g. Firefox). You need to specify correct classid in object and/or embed tag.

Version problem in DMS

In DMS
When i create a document with bapi_document_create2 it is creating the document with what i have given the inputs
documentnumber
documenttype
documentpart
documentversion
but version problem is there . Ex: if i give version as 03 but is creating the docuemnt with version from 01 . next if i give 10 as a version it is creating the document with version 02...like that..
Please advice me .. i want to create the document with the version what iam giving.

Labview version problem?

I have made a subVI that controls the rpm % of a wind tunnel vane. This consists in adquiring 2 values of data within 30 seconds and compare both to see the uniformity of the flux. I use a Labview 2011 version. The problem occurs when i use this subvi in a 2012 version. The 30 seconds turn to 1 minute... I want to ask if its possible for this to be a version problem.

I'm concerned that you are reading a file and then reading it again 3 seconds later. This tells me you are looking for when the other process stops writing data. File IO is a terrible way to share data. Use a Notifier or Queue instead. Much more efficient.

How can i compile OCCI with 9i database installetion?
Which library would i need?
my server is a SOL-Sparc-64 machine

I am trying to compile my C++ code (using OCCI) on Sun Solaris 5.9 (SPARC64PLUS) environment.
We have compiled and tested it on RHEL 5 Linux.
The Oracle (10g R3) database is on RHEL 5 server while OCCI/C++ application would be running on Sun Solaris 5.9 server.
Since we have no Oracle installation on the Sun Solaris 5.9 server, there are no OCCI related libraries on this server and hence we are not able to compile our C++ code on Sun Solaris 5.9
Can someone help me on how/where to download OCCI libraries (compile time as well as run time) for Solaris 5.9 ? I could find only Windows and RHEL versions of OCCI libraries on the Oracle website.
Also, how stable is OCCI on Solaris 5.9 ?

Versioning Problem

Hi,
I have a custom class (subclass of PublicObject) that i'm trying to make versionable. When i try to create a VersionDescription object, i get the error:
oracle.ifs.common.IfsException: IFS-30002: Unable to create new LibraryObject
oracle.ifs.common.IfsException: IFS-30612: versioning operations are not allowed on this class of object CUSTOMNAME
What i'm doing wrong?
Or, how to make a custom class versinable?

Is your subclass a special type of document that will be foldered, or is it a special object that will only be used to store data for your application?
If it is the former, you should subclass Document. If it is the latter, you should subclass ApplicationObject. Both of these ClassObject types are already specified as being versionable.
To specify that a custom class is versionable, you must override the isVersionable() method.
You should rarely have to subclass PublicObject directly.

WebDAV/Make Versioned

Is there any way to make a document versioned when created using WebDAV?

The Ifs implimentation of the WebDav protocol does not currently allow you to perform operation like make versioned or check-in / check-out directly. You would have to upload via WebDav and then use the WebUI to make the documents versioned.
Also note that the WebDav protocol does not currently parse documents that are uploaded.

Logged in through WebUI as System user.
Uploaded a file say c:\code.doc
Placed in /home/system directory
Selected file, then hit 'Check In/Out' icon.
Chose 'Make Versioned'
The file URL was put into bold BUT the URL pointed not to ../home/system but to ///:15610.
I cannot access the file now through WebUI.
Any ideas ? Have I missed something in setup?

I have updated to the latest version however I am still experiening blackouts on all or portions of pages. Scrolling makes the problem worse.

I am experiencing blackouts on all pages. It can occur in blocks or be the whole page. It appears when running my cursor over the page or when scrolling. Scrolling again or leaving and then returning to the page sometimes helps. I have updated to the latest version and I have unchecked the hardware acceleration feature, however the problem remains.

BPEL Process migration problems from 10.1.2. to 10.1.3(SOA)

I am migrating the BPEL Project which was desinged for the BPEL(10.1.2) using BPEL Designer to SOA Suite using the JDeveloper 10.1.3.1 Developer Preview version.
The taken the project which is deploying&working perfectly in the BPEL Desg&serv (10.1.2).
But the same project is not compiling in the newer preview version.i got invalid xpath exception.
my xpath is like
bpws:getVariableData('inputVariable','payload','/client:commonProjectProcessRequest/client:input/ns1:listOfProducts')
if i change like this xpath, woking fine...

The input element defined as string in wsdl.However am expecting in runtime process will recive an proper xml string as a value of input element so the xpath will work fine..
Is the any configuration property to turn of xpath validation & variable not initialized warning while compile and building bpel project in the jdevstudio10.1.3.1. preview as well as in SOASuite server.

As part of the deployment descriptors of a BPEL, one can set the configuration property "xpathValidation" to False (it is by default True going by 10.1.2 documentation). The documentation says that this would make the compiler not to validate the xpath queries.
When we tried this in 10.1.3, it did not seem to make any difference and the compiler still did not allow a xpath query which contained a node name which was not defined in the WSDL (bpws:getVariableData('inputVariable','payload','/client:commonProjectProcessRequest/client:input/ns1:listOfProducts') in Bogiraja's mail above)
Basically, the problem is like this.
a. The WSDL for the BPEL process defines the input variable as a "string"
b. When this BPEL process is invoked, we read the content of this variable which is an XML and assign that to a variable of a defined type in the BPEL.
c. For this purpose, we used to use the syntax as mentioned by Bogiraja in 10.1.2 which does not seem to work on 10.1.3.
A further observation is that if we define a dummy variable of xsd:any and copy the content of the input into that variable and then apply a similar xpath ('/client:dummyXSDAnyVar/ns1:listOfProducts') on that resultant variable then it seems to work!!
Expected functionality? Anything we seem to be missing out here?
