BPEL Worklist App Users

Hi,
i am working with BPEL on HP/UX ... i have inserted manually from EM GUI some Roles and USers ... The logging from worklistapp goes fine without errors with the previous roles/users but i dont know where this user informations are stored. I viewed the file users-properties.xml but i don't find any data about last inserted users/roles.
Could you explain where i can find these data???
perhaps inside any oracle bpel table but i dont know where ???

You should be looking at : bpel\system\services\config folder for these files :
users-properties.xml and system-jazn-data.xml to see the users/groups and their roles if the security provider is any ldap(like OID) and jazn(default provider) respectively.
Please note that if you are using any other LDAP like OID(Oracle LDAP), then its easier to see the users and its properties in the Oracle Directory Manager(ODM).
Hope this helps!
Cheers

  • [HELP] [BPEL 11g] Customized BPEL worklist app could not work on JBoss

    Dear all,
    We are developing the customized Human Worklist app based on BPEL HW API 11g.
    The application (some jsp pages) works fine in JDeveloper 11g. However, after deploy to JBoss, it always prompt with "NoClassDefFoundError" exception, although we have already add following 7 jar files into Classpath:
    ${jdeveloper.home}\Middleware\wlserver_10.3\server\lib\weblogic.jar
    ${jdeveloper.home}\Middleware\jdeveloper\modules\oracle.jrf_11.1.1\jrf.jar
    ${jdeveloper.home}\Middleware\jdeveloper\modules\oracle.webservices_11.1.1\wsclient.jar
    ${bea.home}/AS11gR1SOA/soa/modules/oracle.soa.fabric_11.1.1/bpm-infra.jar
    ${bea.home}/AS11gR1SOA/soa/modules/oracle.soa.workflow_11.1.1/bpm-services.jar
    xml.jar
    xmlparserv2.jar
    Then we manually copy many other jars (nearly 100) under Weblogic server, but it still prompt lacking of some jar file with "NoClassDefFoundError" exception.
    So, does BPEL 11g support deploy HW app outside weblogic, like JBoss? If so, what we need to set at JBoss side to run our app?
    Thanks a lot.

    Not sure it is available yet as I have not seen any doc for 11g.
    here is the 10g instructions which may provide some pointers.

  • Oracle BPEL Worklist app Task Action drop down

    Is there a way to control the order of display of Task outcomes in the Task Action drop down ?

    Yes, but therefore you should customize the JSP and Javascript files in the worklist application.

  • BPEL/ESB Errors to Worklist app

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement in which I have to bring the error message for all the errors that happen in BPEL and ESB to the worklist application. I have used BPEL fault policy and BPEL client API to implement this in BPEL and listened ESB_ERROR topic to implement this in ESB.
    Now I want one 'RESUBMIT' outcome to appear in the task details if these errors are retryable. My odubts are:
    1) How can I find out which errors are retryable in case of both BPEL/ESB ? I found a Retyable field in ESB_FAULTED_INSTANCE table in ORAESB ; but not sure how to use it . How can I find out the same for BPEL?
    2) How do I add the Outcome 'RESUBMIT' dynamicaaly to the task whenevr the error type is retryable?
    Please pour in some ideas on how to implement this....
    Thanks.

    Please deploy the bpel project and then you can locate it in the bpel console.
    Then ,initiate the main process and only then log into the worklist app with the correct port number.
    Then login with the correct user credentials and will be able to see the tasks allocated to him.
    P.S.:Unless you initiate the process in BPEL Console , you cannot see the tasks for the user in worklist app.

  • Generate new user in Oracle BPEL Worklist

    Hello,
    how can I put on in the Oracle BPEL Worklist a new user? I have already read the tutorials in addition. Or if one can work only with the preset users like jstein and jcooper.
    Thank
    Greeting Cathleen

    add a new user in jazn-data.xml (..\integration\orabpel\system\appserver/j2ee/home/config) in your enviroment (if you use developer install) - or if you use OID there .. add additional properties and relations in user-properties.xml (..\integration\orabpel\system\services\config)

  • BPM worklist app, not working in Fusion SCM env..

    I have a small BPEL+HWF app, with the BPM worklist UI component. It works well on my laptop, but when deployed on SCM FusionApp env, it fails to load the BPM app_UI?
    I also noticed that the worklist app conf / ADF usage is different from my standalone laptop_SOA env and the FusionApp SOA_env. Are there any special steps to create/ register the HWF app UI in Fusion Apps Env?

    It is deploying correctly, the worklist app displays my instance. Btu when I click on my worklist item, the UI does not load or display. Below is the browser error and logfile error messages.

  • Trying to debug Worklist app with JDeveloper

    We managed to get the worklistapp compiling under JDeveloper. Now, I'd like to debug it.
    In order to debug (by running in the OC4J container within JDeveloper), it looks like I have to run the worklistapp as a remote client (specifying REMOTE_CLIENT or SOAP_CLIENT in the BaseServlet's init function). I used REMOTE_CLIENT. I also updated wf_client_config.xml and included the ORACLE_HOME/bpel/system/services/config directory in the classpath.
    When I try to run the worklist app from JDeveloper, I get a null ptr exception (the line 'wfSvcClient.getAuthorizationService(idCtx);' is returning a null value for the authorization service):

    I did start up the user metadata services and runtime config services(I can see all the soap endpoints for the workflow services from a browser). But the worklist app doesn't seem to connect to the remote server. I did update my wf_client_config.xml to point to the remote server on which BPEL is located. And the wf_client_config.xml file is in the classpath.
    If I deploy the worklist app on the server with bpel (specifying the parent as 'orabpel', it all works fine). I just can't get it working as a remote client.
    So, any suggestions? I've been looking at threads on this forum to get to this point, but now I'm stuck.
    Thanks,
    Sachin

    I thought I'd ping this thread to see if anyone has been able to debug the Worklist application with JDeveloper. We are trying to customize the worklist application, and being able to use JDeveloper to debug would greatly help out.
    However, I have still been unable to get the worklist application to be able to connect to the workflow services remotely via the SOAP_CLIENT:
    wfSvcClient = WorkflowServiceClientFactory.getWorkflowServiceClient(
    WorkflowServiceClientFactory.SOAP_CLIENT);
    I've played around with the classpath to make sure I have all the jars (based on other similar threads in this forum), but have not had any luck yet.
    From a web browser, I can specify the SOAP endpoint to the Workflow services, and am able to call the service in the browser.
    I updated my wf_client_config.xml file to point to the endpoints. e.g:
    <taskQueryService>
    <soapEndPoint>http://myserver:8888/integration/services/TaskQueryService/TaskQueryService</soapEndPoint>
    </taskQueryService>
    Thanks for any help,
    Sachin

  • Not able to login to Worklist app

    Hi,
    I have installed oracle SOA Suite. Am able to login to bpel console and initiate processes. But when I try to login to Worklist app, am not able to proceed, the screen comesback to the login screen after pressing on button. I have tried it a multiple times but no results.
    Can anyone help me as to what could be the problem and if there are any log files that can be looked into.
    Thanx
    Ashutosh

    Please deploy the bpel project and then you can locate it in the bpel console.
    Then ,initiate the main process and only then log into the worklist app with the correct port number.
    Then login with the correct user credentials and will be able to see the tasks allocated to him.
    P.S.:Unless you initiate the process in BPEL Console , you cannot see the tasks for the user in worklist app.

  • SOA 11g Worklist Apps Customisation and Integration with Plumtree Portal

    Hi,
    We want to migrate an existing application build using SOA Suite 10.1.3.3 to 11.1.1.2.0.
    In the 10g application the worklist application was customised and the customised apps was linked as a remote portlet in BEA Plumtree Portal.
    1)In 10g the worklist application source code is available (\SOA_Oracle_Home\bpel\samples\hw\worklistapp) for customisation but is that possible for 11g ?
    (The location of the default deployed worklist apps in 11g is /../mdw_home/user_projects/domains/soa_domain/servers/soa_server1/tmp/_WL_user/worklistapp).
    Can we take the source code and customize in jdev and deploy under a different contextname in 11g??
    3)Our existing 10g worklist was customised a bit in terms of look and feel and for some custom authentication and it was deployed in the 10g SOA Server.
    A sample jsp application was created and the login page of the custom worklist apps was linked in a inframe so that it works when integrated with the Plumtree portal as a remote portlet. And this worked perfectly in 10.1.3.3 SOA Suite.
    However the 11g SOA worklist login when tagged in a jsp as an inframe in plumtree portal is giving a warning message
    Warning: Unable to load content in a frame. Frame content will load at the top level. On cliicking the OK button the worklist page is opening. This is with Firefox browser . however form IE7 or 8 its timing out from portal.
    As per http://newsoalife.blogspot.in/2009/09/framebusing-in-adf.html
    changing the web.xml for the worklist can help.
    Can anyone please let us know on the same as this appeas an unsupported one.
    Regards
    Ashif

    Hi,

    Can you check consumer in AQ tables.
    Thanks,

  • BPMAuthorizationService in remote worklist app via SOAP

    Hi;
    I'm trying to write a worklist app (plain Java app for now) that, among other things, retrieves a workflow user's email address.
    String userId = "jstein";
    String password = "welcome1";
    // Get workflow service client for SOAP
    IWorkflowServiceClient wfSvcClient =
    WorkflowServiceClientFactory.getWorkflowServiceClient( WorkflowServiceClientFactory.SOAP_CLIENT );
    // authenticate the workflow user ** this works correctly **
    IWorkflowContext wfCtx =
    wfSvcClient.getTaskQueryService().authenticate( userId, password, oracle.tip.pc.services.identity.config.ISConfiguration.getDefaultRealmName(), null );
    // get the BPM Auth service so we can look up users' info ** this fails due to connection timeout on localhost:9700 **
    BPMAuthorizationService bpmauth = wfSvcClient.getAuthorizationService( oracle.tip.pc.services.identity.config.ISConfiguration.getDefaultRealmName() );
    // look up user (to get email addy, e.g.)
    BPMUser bpmu = bpmauth.lookupUser( userId );
    I do have wf_client_config.xml pointing to the remote server:8888 and the TaskQueryService.authenticate() call works. The getAuthorizationService() call, however, fails with a timeout trying to connect to localhost:9700, which isn't running. I have a little proxy utility which I set up to proxy localhost:9700 to remotehost:8888 and it works as desired.
    So, how can I do to make getAuthorizationService() connect directly to remotehost:8888?
    BTW, getDefaultRealmName() is 'jazn.com' as configured in is_config.xml. The remotehost is using jazn.com for the time being. So, configuring is_config.xml to go to LDAP or OID is not an option right now.
    TIA,
    Mark

    I need to know where this xml files must be located and how to load it. Oracle tutorials are not so clear in most cases and we got lost.
    authenticate is deprecated.

  • Customization of Human tasks the BPM Worklist App with ADF App

    Hi All,
    We are building a custom ADF application which aims to combine several business process human tasks to a unified interface.
    And how to integrate the Human Task Flow BPM Worklist to my ADF App.
    Otherthan that
    To the BPM Worklist App we want to do customizations also like
    1.Want to customize to apply our own custom skins to customize banner logo, title to the BPM Human Task Flow App.......
    2.And based on the logged in user/role we wanted to restrict the features of the Work List App.
    Say for Example should not provide the Facility to Add New Page if the logged in user is not an Admin, like wise no provision to add or modify or delete the Worklist Views like that...
    How to get control the App based on User/Role
    Any help or pointers would be appreciated!
    I have ADF Experience from projects Using JDeveloper 11.1.1.5.
    But, for me this is the first BPM case.
    Renuka

    Hi Renuka,
    There are basically two ways to create an ADF UI for a BPM Task:
    1. Generate it from the task
    2. Create a ADF Taskflow based on Human Workflow Task
    Since I tell this by heart, I might be slightly wrong in the terms.
    You probably want to try the second option. It is accessible from the "New Gallery". You'll have to provide the Human Task from the BPM project, but then you can build up the ADF Taskflow by your self, based on the customizations of the rest of your application.
    Should not be rocket science for someone with ADF11g experience. Since it is not my dayly job, I need to figure it out every time again ;). But I did it in the past and it wasn't so hard.
    Regards,

    I'm working on an environment w/ the BPM Worklist App, and I notice there is no "Administration" option for the weblogic user (which is apparently the admin) when I login to the app.  Assuming he doesn't have the appropriate credentials - any idea which are necessary?  I assume I can assign these in the Weblogic Console?  Any help would be appreciated.

    From EM Console, make sure this user is in role named BPMAdmin. Or even better SOAAdmin. From Weblogic Console, I hope he is in Adminstrator role already.
    Thanks

  • How do we measure the TAT in a worklist app

    I need to displayt the Turn Around Time to the end user in the worklist app. Any hints on how it can be done.
    Thanx

    USB is a funny thing. Typically 5V max provided by the client PC. A lot of devices use 3.3V , The current the USB device will use is determined during enumeration. And the client device negotiates this with the PC. As was stated in the duplicate post you made a few days ago, Your missile launcher will need either LV drivers provided by the manufacture or a DLL file OR some way of knowing the communication protocol of the missile launcher.

  • BPEL Worklist time zone

    Hi all,
    I'm using BPEL 10.1.2.0.2 on AS 10.1.2, running on Windows XP.
    I have noticed that the times are displayed incorrectly in the BPEL Worklist. The bottom line displays the "page refreshed on" time, which differs from the system time. The times in the BPEL console seem to be correct.
    It looks like this is a time zone issue (I'm in Europe btw)
    Does anyone know where to configue the time zone for Worklist?
    The time is displayed in Footer.jsp, which uses an IWorklistContext object to query the time zone, if that's any help.
    TIA,
    Marcel.

    The timezone is specified as part of the user profile in user-properties.xml in services/config if JAZN-XML (jazn-data.xml) is used for user management or in OID person schema if OID is used as the identity store.
    Regards,
    Bhagat
