BPM 11gPS5 support centos?

We got several curious problems while configuring bpm domain (11gPS5) and starting servers in centos. So we are wondering if OBPM support centos?
Thx in advance.
Jianhong

Hi Jianhong,
I don't think Centos it's supported 'officially'.
See the matrix of certified platforms : http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/bpm/documentation/documentation-154306.html#111160
Check Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.x), there is a link to a .xls file containing all supported configurations.
I hope it answers your question.
Cheers,
Felipe

  • BPM 11g supporting XPDL ?

    Hi everyone,
    1) Do you know whether "Oracle BPM 11g" still support "XPDL" ?
    2) Can we export "BPMN process" designed with BPM Studio 11g out as "BPMN 2.0" standard ?
    Regards
    Pearapon S.

I do not think this is bug based on
Oracle® Fusion Middleware Modeling and Implementation Guide for Oracle Business Process Management
23.1.1 Understanding the Relationship Between SOA Composites and SOA Components
"In a similar way, when an interrupting timer or message boundary event arrives to a user task, the BPMN process instance leaves the user task but the associated Human Task remains available. Because the interrupting timer or message boundary event arrived before the user completes the user task, the human task remains unfinished, and you can still access it thought the Worklist application. However running that human task does not have any effect on the BPMN process."
This also gives us big trouble. I am looking for the solution.

  • BPM is supported by which UI components?

    Hi ,
We are currently using BPMN for Java webdnypro UI. I would like to know whether BPMN can be used for ABAP webdynpro or not. Please share some documents or links on this.

  • BPM 11g support process archive

    Hi,
Is BPM 11g suppots process archive?
Can anyone help me on that?
    Regards,
    Anandh P

    Hi Raj
    1. Terminate means you want to End that Process no matter where it is at any instance of time. Say if I have BPM Process with 10 SwimLanes it can be at any of the Lanes with any User. I am taking simple Example with Human Tasks, but you can apply for other component like Timer servces etc.
    2. I hope you are aware of 2 things specially for Human Tasks: Action named "Withdraw" and a role named "Process Owner". For any human task, under Actions menu you should See a Withdraw option. You can code your application to capture this output using XOR gateway and if outcome is "WITHDRAW" directly end the process and go to End Node. If you have many places like this, there is easy way instead of running wires eveywhere. Create a simple throw even that goes to End Node. And after each human task check outcome if Withdraw, that that error, which will end the process. I hope you got the point.
    b) The reason I mentioned Process Owner is, generally I do NOT give Withdraw control to each User who can work on any Task. If accidentally that User do this action, thats it. The process ENDS and you can never retriive it back. So under .TASK file, I preven Withdraw action to Asssignee and Instead give this action only to OWNER (Process Owner). Process owner is like admin who can pretty much see any tasks and I would give him all the permissions like these Withdraw, Reassing, Suspend etc etc. This gives more controlled power to your application. Anyhow, in bpm workspace, login as process owner and search for any Task aged for long time and jus Withdraw it.
You can do all the above using APIs also as far as you have Withdraw action going to the End Node.
If your requirement is something else, ignore above notes. But still you can think along the above lines, if all you want is to Kill a Running Process anytime.
    Thanks

  • Import/Export of BPM Models (supporting a BPMN standard)

    Hello
Is there a possibility in CE 7.2 in the Process Composer to Import existing BPMN Models or Eport Models in a standard format?

    Hi Christoph,
As far as I know, there is no functionality in CE 7.2 to import or export BPMN process models.

  • BPMN supported version in BPM Studio 10.3.1

    Hi all,
can someone tell me what's is the BPMN version supported in BPM studio version 10.3.1 ?

    J.

    Hi,
Oracle BPM 10g supports BPMN 1.1. Although BPMN 2.0 is expected to be finalized this summer, it is not out yet.
Things added in Oracle BPM 10g to enhance BPMN support included:
    1. improved graphics on icons
    2. renamed activities to adhere to the standard (Split-N -> Multiple, Notification Wait -> Message Wait, Nofication -> Send Message)
    3. new activities (Timer and Or Split)
    4. improved horizontal roles
Up for debate on their usefulness, but about the only BPMN feature that is missing is the concept of Pools.
    Hope this helps,
    Dan

  • BPM support Inheritance ?

    Hi,
Is BPM/BPM object support inheritance property of OOPS concept ?
If so then how and how can we implement that in ALBPM ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Bibhu

Others have probably gotten Type inheritance to work, but I haven't been able to get it to work since 5.7 and suggest you try Behavior inheritance instead.
I uploaded a project that has XML content going to a child process and back up to the parent process successfully. This exported project is on: http://www.4shared.com/file/123127271/a7da63f0/XSDIntrospectionToChildProcess.html.
In the Catalog's "XSDIntrospect" module you'll see both the introspected XSD and the BPM Object that inherits from the XSD. Inside both the parent process and called child subprocess, this BPM Object is used as an instance variable ("po"). In this project, the values entered in the parent's XML are passed successfully to the child and then from the child back up to the parent successfully.

  • Sync Send step in BPM.

    hi all,
My BPM flow starts with a single message that I split using a message map into a list of messages into a block which is foreach mode to be sent synchronously one by one splitted messages to an Oracle stored procedure via the JDBC adapter. After the mapping step, the flow goes into a ParForEach block that executes the sync Send step to the JDBC adapter, and then has a Container Action that collects the responses.
My problem is that BPM seems to not like executing a synchronous send from inside a block. The first execution of the send step will produce an error in the BPM flow.
    thanks in advance.

My problem is that BPM seems to not like executing a synchronous send from inside a block.
BPM does support SYNCSend step inside a Block....but not for ForEach/ ParForEach mode of execution.
I think you are following this procedure from quite a long time.....sync send inside a foreach block.

    Abhishek.

  • Oracle bpm on solaris 1009

    hi!
anyone knows if oracle bpm is supported on the release of solaris 10/09???
    thanks!
    regards

You are right. Since Solaris 10 kernel parameters settings in /etc/system is obsolete and some parameters are deprecated.
The steps how to configure required parameters you can find in my paper (step #1.): http://ivan.kartik.sk/oracle/install_ora10gR2_solaris.html
I bypass this issue and continue the install as I have no warning You can safely bypass this issue during installation process but you should set these parameters after installation.

  • ASMLib for CentOS 4.6

    Hi All,
    I have CentOS 4.6 with Kernel2.6.9-27ELsmp i686.
I've so far been unable to locate a corresponding Driver for it on Oracle site. Unless of course I've been looking in the wrong direction.
Kindly point me in the right direction.
    Regards,
    Timothy.

    Hi Timothy,
unfortunately Oracle does not directly support CentOS. Just RHEL, SLES and OEL.
For that reason there will be no releases for CentOS directly.
However since the kernel seems very similar to RHEL you might get an EL4 release for your kernel.
But now again closet versions out there are:
    Drivers for kernel 2.6.9-34.EL
    Drivers for kernel 2.6.9-22.EL
    Nothing for a 27 Kernel :(
On the other hand, since the source code is GPL you could try compiling it yourself.
Since you are on an unsupported version of OS anyways there is no harm in that.
The sources can be found here (at the bottom of the page):
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/linux/asmlib/index.html
Furthermore, if you don't get ASMLIB to run ASM runs perfectly fine without asmlib.
Its just a best practice to use, because it needs less resources, no hassle with rigths assignment on harddisks etc. But it will also work without...
    Regards
    Sebastian
