BPM 5.7 MP3 Exception [Protocol [null] not supported.

Hi
we recently started getting this error for each deployed project
Each of my process instances goes to exception state and we are unable to understand this
From log viewer
PSGLProcessService::sourcePollProcess. Exception:fuego.directory.DirectoryRuntimeException: Exception [Protocol [null] not supported.
Technical detail:Verify that the needed plug-in supporting files are present in your system and that the provider name is not misspelled.
Where do i check for this files
The BPM log viewer records this information and the url it is using is correct
PSGLProcessService::sourcePollProcess. Fuego.Server.directoryURL : remote://orclServer/schema=albpm,sid=ALBPMDEV, UserID:EIBUser, Password:********
Appreciate any help with this

did you resolve this? i have same situation, but instead [null] there is [REMOTE_JDBC] name.

    Hi,
    Is this this is the first project you've deployed on an Engine you've just installed? Knowing this will help us understand if you have a problem in one of the external resources in your project or if you had a problem caused by the installation.
    If this is a new Engine, did you use the installation wizard that comes with Oracle BPM 10g? How did you answer the database information for the Directory Service and the Engine? Did you allow the wizard to create a new J2EE domain or did you try to use an existing one (I struggle using the wizard using an existing domain during the installation and get a similar error when I do so)?

  • Upload Error message: HTTPS protocol is not supported

    Hi,
       Whenever I do a quick par upload i'm getting an 'Operation failed' message to check sap-plugin.log.
       Log says
    Upload Error message: HTTPS protocol is not supported, please ensure this server is not using HTTPS. My webdynpro applications are getting deployed without any issues.
         How to resolve this?
    Thanks
    Sumathi

    Hi Sumathi,
    As there are often problems with the Quick PAR Upload reported, I would suggest to use the "normal" PAR upload from the icon tray (you have to activate the portal icons in the icon tray). That is almost that "quick" (one or two clicks more needed, we don't talk about more than a second) and - it works (it least it should, and at least it works in most cases even if the Quick PAR Upload fails).
    Hope it helps

  • TFTP, Protocol does not support listing directories

    Hi everyone,
    I am trying to install patch for PI 1.4 because of the browser problem. I have downloaded the patch.
    I also have read the post https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-26972#comment-22434 and followed the steps described.
    I created repository and try to make the tftp server's root directory into the repository, as u can see in the picture below. Is it correct? Because when I want to display the file contain in the repository, the error message shown "Protocol does not support listing directories", what does it mean?
    Thanks.

    Here's another way:::
    1)  From your PC launch a CMD Prompt
    2)  CD to the directory where the patch is installed
    3)  ftp xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (this is the IP address of the NCS/PI server)
    4)  login as ftp-user
    5)  enter the password created during the install of NCS/PI for the ftp user account (if you don’t know it, you can change it by entering
    ncs password ftpuser ftp-user password
    6)  type bin then press return
    7)  type hash then press return
    8)  type put
    9)  login to the CLI of the NCS/PI server as an admin user
    10) type dir disk:ftp and you’ll see the file stored in the /localdisk/ftp directory on the disk
    11) if you don’t have a repo pointing to disk:ftp then create one using
         a) config t
         b) repository localftp
         c) url disk:/ftp
         d) exit
    12) type ncs stop
    13) type patch install localftp
    Note: if a PC firewall is enabled, you may have to disable it in order to get the file transfer to work

    This is a big reason to make the move to dynamic development. There are many sites that use PHP or CF and never connect to a database. The ability to have your menus, headers, footers added to your pages with one simple line of code such as:
    <cfinclude template="FooterContent.cfm">
    for ColdFusion or
    <?php
    include("FooterContent.php");
    ?>
    for php
    Makes it well worth moving from static HTML pages to using  CF or php.
    Even if your host did support SSI's  you'll find true dynamic development to be a much more reliable solution - and this isn't even mentioning how to handle form submissions and so many other non database related functions... for example  this line of code
    Copyright 2002 - <cfoutput>#DateFormat(Now(), "yyyy")#</cfoutput>
    Will automatically show the current year at the end of your copyright statement in your footer - sweet, right?
    Hope this encourages toy to make the move.

    I've found why - turns out it was mentioned in the older APIs guide (ver 5.1). I need fuegofdi-oracle.jar.
    Now I just hit another error - CachedRowSet NoClassDefFoundError. This is easy cause I just need to get rowset.jar from sun's j2ee library (or if I were using Java 1.5 it would have already bundled inside).

  • Workflows Do Not Start - "Not Supported in Windows Authentication Mode"

    I have a publishing site that is using Kerbos authentication.  Everything on the site works fine.
    I created a simple workflow in SPD 2013 and published this to the site without any problems.  However when I try to start the workflow with the account of a user who is a member of the site it will not run.  In the browser an alert pop's up
    saying "Something went wrong.  To try again, reload the page and then start the workflow again".
    In the SharePoint log's I find the following:
    SharePoint Server              Workflow Services              aj5oh Exception  System.NotSupportedException: Not supported
    in Windows authentication mode.     at Microsoft.SharePoint.IdentityModel.SPIdentityContext.Create(SPUserToken token, Boolean isShareByLinkGuestUser)     at Microsoft.SharePoint.WorkflowServices.WorkflowServiceContextExtensions.GetApplicationUserCredentials(WorkflowServicesContext

    This is a dev environment where everthing is setup on a single box, and I registered the workflow service in HTTP mode (which I allowed during the installation of workflow manager).
    Any ideas on what the problem might be?
    Thanks,
    Richard

    You haven't changed it to Claims there, you have changed NTLM to Kerberos. I guess your web app was already claims based because in SP 2013 we have to use Powershell to convert classic to claims and not from GUI.
    When I click the workflow on a item to start in manually I get the error:
    "Something went wrong. To try again, reload the page and then start the workflow"
    In ULS I get the not supported exception.
    It seems 2013 platform workflows aren't supported in classic mode web applications:
    http://sharepointconnoisseur.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/sharepoint-2013-upgrade-preparation-to.html
    But I am not able to publish 2010 mode workflows in the classic web application, SPD 2013 throws error while publishing:
    "Unexpected error on server, wf cannot be associated"
    So does Infopath while publishing on to a list in that web application:

  • Why does Apple Bluetooth for iOS not support SPP profile?

    I am curious why this really useful protocol is not supported by iOS.
    Thanks for any information.
    What I would do with it: develop software to support my favorite OBD-II interface hardware, PLX Devices Kiwi Bluetooth.

    KT,
    Thanks for your reply.
    There are some iOS apps that support OBD-II, generally by a specific manufacturer for their hardware. Much of this hardware is "not very good". PLX is a unique company with great hardware, I already own a Kiwi BT ($$) and do not want to buiy lesser junk just so I can buy the single-source software that comes with it. PLX provides an open interface architecture that happens to be SPP Bluetooth. There is a lot of great software for it from different angles...all Android. I used to have an android phone when I bought the Kiwi. The Kiwi Wifi is supported by Apple, I will buy that if I have to get more hardware... but not happily. Apple has restricted SPP from the "bubble", I just want to know why?

    Hi. That means the JDBC driver you specified threw a NullPointerException
    when we tried to make a connection with it...
    Can you show the XML file for the DataSource? It's in the domain's
    config/jdbc directory.

    Caught workflow exception:
    Process exited with exit code 0.

    Although the versions 10.1.3.4 and 10.1.3.3 are close and should be able to use 10.1.3.4 JDev for most 10.1.3.3 development, the human tasks is the one exception. 10.1.3.3 had a few bugs fixed therefore the jar file used in JDev 10.1.3.4 may not be compatible with 10.1.3.3.
    I would either use JDev 10.1.3.3 or upgrade SOA Suite to 10.1.3.4
    cheers

  • Address family not supported by protocol family: bind

    Over the past few days a number of users have reported connection issues with our application. We've been able to track the problem to this line of code:
    ServerSocketChannel sc = ServerSocketChannel.open();
    sc.socket().bind(new InetSocketAddress("localhost", 0)); <- error thrown
    The following error is thrown:
    java.net.SocketException: Address family not supported by protocol family: bind
    sun.nio.ch.Net.bind(Native Method)
    sun.nio.ch.ServerSocketChannelImpl.bind(Unknown Source)
    sun.nio.ch.ServerSocketAdaptor.bind(Unknown Source)
    sun.nio.ch.ServerSocketAdaptor.bind(Unknown Source)
    I've read this is something to do with an IPv4 / IPv6 issue. But what I don't understand is that our users have had this working fine for months and we've never had any problems in the past, but within the last couple of days 10 people have contacted us, all with the same issue. We've not released any patches so we've not introduced the problem. Does anyone know what might have changed in the past few days? Did Microsoft release a patch to modify the IPv 4 / 6 protocols?
    Apparently the issue might be resolved in Java7, but we have thousands of users, and rolling out a new version of Java is a big upheaval.
    Any ideas???
    BBB

    It uses a JRE that is isolated for our application, so Java updates 'shouldn't' affect it. I have a sneaking suspicion that a Vista update may have changed something, but I can't be sure.
    I'm working through the problem with one of our users, and I've changed the code from:
    ServerSocketChannel sc = ServerSocketChannel.open();
    sc.socket().bind(new InetSocketAddress("localhost", 0));To
    ServerSocket sc = new ServerSocket();
    sc.bind(new InetSocketAddress("localhost", 0));This works and I'm able to get an available port. However, later in the code it runs this section of code to connect the socket:
         void connect() throws IOException, InterruptedException {
              int retry;
              for (retry = 0; retry < MAX_RETRY; retry++) {
                   try {
                        channel = SocketChannel.open();
                        channel.configureBlocking(false);
                        //connect to server
                        channel.connect(serverAddr);
                        //register events to listen
                        channel.register(selector, SelectionKey.OP_CONNECT);
                        while (!channel.isConnected()) {
                             if (selector.select(1) > 0) {
                                  Set readyKeys = selector.selectedKeys();
                                  Iterator i = readyKeys.iterator();
                                  while (i.hasNext()) {
                                       SelectionKey key = (SelectionKey) i.next();
                                       i.remove();
                                       SocketChannel keyChannel = (SocketChannel) key

                   throw new InterruptedException("Maximum retry number reached!");
              channel.register(selector, SelectionKey.OP_READ);
         }It's now falling over on this line:
    channel.connect(serverAddr);
    java.net.SocketException: Address family not supported by protocol family: connect
    serverAddr is a InetSocketAddress, channel is a SocketChannel, which appears not to be supported on the machine that are having these connection issues.
    I'll be honest, I have little or no experience of implementing Sockets, and since I can't replicate the actual problem that our users are having it makes it even hard to fix it or try to code a workaround. The code above is from an OpenSource project, i.e. it's not something I wrote. In other words, I'm kinda up the 'proverbial creek'!
    Could anybody be kind enough to steer me in the right direction for a workaround that doesn't use a SocketChannel? It really would be appreciated!
