Hi masters.....
i am doing one scenario where i have to pick data from source side and send it to target system then from the target system i wil be getting response that data is successfully inserted in target system ... if it is not inserted then it should throw expections.... for tht i had used bpm ...
i am facing one problem i had defined alert category where in container tab i had defined SXMS_MSG_GUID,SXMS_ERROR_CODE,SXMS_ERROR_CAT,SXMS_FROM_SERVICE..
In short text tab i had mentioned......
error:&SXMS_MSG_GUID&
In long Text i had mentioned ........
error:&SXMS_ERROR_CODE& , &SXMS_MSG_GUID& (Category &SXMS_ERROR_CAT& ) was found in message &SXMS_MSG_GUID& from the interface &SXMS_FROM_SERVICE&
i had created the alert rules in RWB also ...
but when i went to alert inbox then i got message like below...
longtext tab.....
error: , (Category ) was found in message from the interface &SXMS_FROM_SERVICE& .
in short text tab....
error:
I didnt get the actual details with respect to the variable used in container tab...
can u help me to get wht mistake i had done while setting alert config in bpm ....
Thanks in Advance .....
jagannath.

i had checked ICF service also .... but still i am not getting variables value in alert inbox
Here in bpm ... in control step i had given these parameters...
in properties ...............
1) AlertCategory Name:  alertcat name i had given ....
2) Alert Message:  "Error".. it means i had given my own message as error with in double quotes..
is it right or i have to give any variable name .... which i had used in container ..
if so then ......i had used more thn one variable in container..... so how i should give variable name in this block(in alert message block)...
Thanks in advance,
jagannath.

  • BPM Alert in SolMan

    Hello All,
Just want to ask how to stop the BPM alert in SOlMan from sending to a specific email.
Where can I check the configuration? What steps to do?
    Thanks and regards,
    Eco

    Hi Eco
You mentioned, you want to stop BPMon alert e-mail right.
If I understand your situation correctly, you might already setup BPMon and activate.
To setop the BPMon alert, you can remove e-mail notification setting from BPMon session where you setup
monitoring object, key figure threshold value.
In your BPMon setup session, under the specific business process step to that you assigned some monitoring objects,
you may see area called "notification".
Here you might defined e-mail sender and receiver setting, also condition to send e-mail.
So if you remove your setting in this area (leave it blank) you will not receive e-mail alerting to that monitoring object.
    I hope this help your.

  • BPM Alert MultiLine

I had setup my BPM alerts based on this blog
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/1382. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]
I need to send a multi line errors from a multi line container variable in BPM. This works fine if I set up the alerts description as "Errors are &ErrorListML[]&.". If I setup the alerts description as "Errors are &ErrorListML##&.", the email has no body other than Alert Id.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks

    hi,
    two ways:)
first try to send all data to ECC for check (you can go for async with correlation - even
based on guid if you don't have anything else)
use ABAP proxies if possible (so you'll be able to
restart and monitor the flow in ECC too)
then use IDOC bundling to send all IDOCs at once as per my weblog:
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/12/04/xi-idoc-bundling--the-trick-with-the-occurance-change
this way you will have to worry about 2 outbound messages (from XI)
and one inbound (from ECC to XI)

  • BPM Alert Issue - P.O Created withour ref to Purch Req

    Hi,
Has anyone else had any issues with the BPM alert "P.o's created without ref to a P.O";? It seems to be reporting incorrectly - it gives us sometimes P.O that were in fact created with ref to a purch req.
I've raised an OSS for this with Sap - although I'm still awaiting a response...Has anyone had the same issue described above?
    Thanks,

    Hi Kevin,
as already explained via another communication channel I think the collector is working perfectly fine. Be aware that, like most other Procurement collectors, we are checking on line item level and not only on document level. As your example shows ONLY line item 20 is created without PR reference. But your screenshot of the document itself shows line item 10 which is created with a PR reference and hence was not in our output list. Also a look in table EKPO shows that one item was created with reference and the other wasnu2019t.

I have an issue where my BPM alert "purchase order lines created without reference to a purch req" sometimes gives me a P.O that was creatd with ref to a P.O. I have raised an OSS note for SAP but I was wondering if anyone else had a similiar issueor if they have the same alert but it functions correctly?

  • PI SP13 - ALM issue - BPM alerts are received many times

    Hi all,
the program RSALRTPROC is scheduled every 5 minute to do :
    - deliver
    - escalate
the program RSALRTPROC is scheduled every week to do :
    - delete
    - reorganisation
While an alert isn't completed, RSALRTPROC job (deliver) sends my uncompleted BPM alerts every time it is executed ! => every 5 minutes, I receive a mail for each BPM alert
How to avoid it ? Is it a bug ?

    Hi Jean,
Try selecting the Suppress Multiple Alerts of This Rule option in Alert Rule Definition. It might help you.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Report Error Message in BPM Alert?

    Hi,
I designed a BPM with a transformation step and a send step. For each step I have an exception branch where I want to trigger an alert, when something goes wrong.
I already configured in TC ALRTCATDEF an alert category (Dynamic Text activated). And I made an container operatinon with folloing control step, where I for example report the message ID.
But, going through the blogs and threads I didn't find the information, how I can report the exact error message, the error category (and in case of the send step the adapter and the adapter error text) to the alert. How can I get this data to put it into a container variable?
Can anybody give me some information about that?
    Thanks in advance
    Dominic
    System: PI 7.0 SP15

You can use the below information for raising an Alert for adapters.
Specific Error Information from the Adapter Engine:
    Container Element
    ABAP Dictionary Data Type
    Meaning
    SXMS_TO_ADAPTER_TYPE
    CHAR70
    Adapter type
    SXMS_TO_ADAPTER_ERRTXT
    CHAR70
Error text from the Adapter Engine

  • BPM Alerts - Dynamic Text

    Hi,
I'm triggering Alerts from BPM with Dynamic variables. In ALRTCATDEF I was not able to define the header ( Subject field on the email ) as I need to check Dynamic Text box which will deactivate Short and Long Text. Furthermore Shortext ( for example its like " Process number 00001234567 " ) in ALRTINBOX becoming Subject field in the email.  So when we receive email with the Subject field as "Process number 00001234567" doesn't makes sense until you open the email.
I did gone thru the document and all the blogs and lost how to fix it.
Do anyone have the same problem?.. Please help.
Basically I want to system ID on the Subject line of the email.

Well there is an alternate solution. But as a standard using the Control Step of the BPM, this is not possible.
Trigger Alert from a UDF as shown in this blog of mine,

  • BPM Alert Process Number

    Hi All,
    I have a BPM scenario.
    Start>Receive1->SynSend1->SynSend2>AsySend3>Stop.
    (SynSend1--->SynSend2 are inside each block.)
I have defined an alert in the BPM and inside alert message the BPM process number is working fine.
Suppose if an alert happend in the SynSend2 and user is getting a mail of alert as
    "Process Number 0000124".
If we go to SXMB_MONI_BPE and select this process 0000124 it will not be available for restart.
but you can find a the restart option for process 0000122.(this is the subWorkflow).
How can get the subwork flow number(0000122) inside the Alert so that business user can sort the message directly from the monitor and restart it ?
    Regards,
    Sunil.

I know the t-code to restart the message.
What my query is that how can the exact BPM process number can be triggered in the Alert Message.
So that the business user can take the process number from his inbox and restart the BPM through the SAP XI monitor.
If the alert is throw inside a block the, the Process number in the alert message will be that of the Block.
But the restart will be possible for the workflow process instance. Here there  is a mismatch in the process numbers(ex. Block=24 , subworkflow=22).........
Hope i made my requirement clear.
And this process numbers are system generated. Is there is any work around for this?
have any one already tried this?
    awaiting for your reply.
    Regards,
    Sunil.

  • BPM alert not being generated

    Hi guys,
I'm having quite a little trouble in doing one thing which has been done for several times but which is giving  me a hard time...
I've created a bpm process which in an error condition will trigger a simple alert.
I've tested the process and everything goes allright, except the alert. What is happening? Well, the alert is not being sent to my inbox. Why? Maybe because the alert is not being generated.
I've went to sxmb_moni_bpe and everything is OK. I can see the message of the alert being fired. After that I went to slg1 to see if my alert is being generated, and the answer is no. It's not being generated....
I've gone through Michal's blogs and everything was checked...The question is, if I execute RSALERTTEST with my alert category, the alert is generated and send to my inbox. Do you have any ideas?
Thanks a lot for your attention

    Hi,
Yes the job scheduling is needed only for Sp14 and below.
Can you recheck if the Alert is actually getting triggered or not in the BPM in the control step? Make sure that you have given the correct Alert Category in your Control Step and also, make sure that the recipient in your alert as well as the Alert Inbox entry you are seeing is the same.
    Finally, refresh the Alert Inbox.
    Regards,
    Bhavesh

  • BPM Alerts not sending email notifications

    Hello Experts,
I've successfully configured BPM within SolMan and alerts are being generated but I'm not receiving any email notifications. In the setup of Business Process Monitoring, "Contacts" have been maintained within the Solution Directory as well as the notifications section of the monitoring type with a sender and a valid recipient address . Both yellow and red alerts are being generated but no email notifications are being sent. Thresholds have also been maintained.
Researching other threads regarding this same issue points to tcode RZ20->SAP CCMS Technical Expert Monitors ->All Monitoring Contexts->BPM->Activate Maintanance Function-> and assiging Central auto reaction methods to MTE Class BPMRoot Context and the other BPM_APPMON_* MTE classes. Is there something that I am missing in order to have these alerts send email notifications when the alert threshold is reached?
I also defined the new Central Auto Reaction method and maintained the parameters properly which calls FM DSWP_BPM_SEND_ALERT. Please assist as I have exhausted all options. Please provide a step by step guide to setup alert notifications if possible.
    Thanks
    Mike

  • BPM Alert Container Elements Not Filled

    Hi All,
Another problem i am facing when i am raising alert from BPM.
In inbox i see alert message being raised but with no text.
I have also subscribed to email alerts.
In the email the subject is Process 000000008058
and the content is the first alphabet of the AlertMessage container element.
Ex : In BPM my container element is AlertMessage and the message assigned is <i>Error</i> . Then in email message i only get E. where as in alert inbox i get nothing.
ps : im using XI 7.0 SP 9. there are no notes which are applicable for this release.

    Hi Bhavesh,
<i>>When you select Dynamic text in the Alert category, the Container tab will no longer be available in ALRTCATDEF for your Alet Category.!</i>
the container tab is available but the Long& Short text tab is disabled.
    I did not mean that..
What i meant was see next to the Properties tab in Alert Category defination there is a Container tab where we define our own container elements.
Do i need to define the names there..or i can directly use in the BPM?

    Rahul

  • Problem in BPM Alert configuration

    hi all,
i have configured BPM with alerts putting Control step. i not am able to get the container variables reflected in my alert.
can any one tell me what is the procedure to capture the errors(container variables like MESSAGE_GUID....) in BPM
    Thanks,
    smitha
Edited by: Smitha Madhavan on Sep 4, 2008 9:14 AM

    hi,
please make sure that u have defined the container element in ur BPM. please fill your veriable with your definde veriable in container step.
you can fill these veriable with 2 type of data\
    1) fill with payload which is comming ,
    2) fill with the system defined veriable
if you want to fill with system defined veriable you need to write a small UDF
    java.util.Map map;
    map = container.getTransformationParameters( );
    String constant1;
    Constant1 = (String) map.get(StreamTransformationConstants.INTERFACE_NAMESPACE);
now return this out put to some veriable .which can be assigned to container veriable.
you can use following system defined veriable.
    MESSAGE_CLASS,VERSION_MAJOR,VERSION_MINOR,PROCESSING_MODE,MESSAGE_ID,TIME_SENT,INTERFACE,INTERFACE_NAMESPACE,SENDER_PARTY,SENDER_SERVICE,RECEIVER_NAME,RECEIVER_NAMESPACE,RECEIVER_PARTY,RECEIVER_SERVICE,MAPPING_TRACE

  • Blank Long Text in BPM alerts

    Hello Experts,
I had configured dynamic alerts in BPM (of PI 7.1) and I am raising the same through Control step. The configuration is similar as described in blog
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/03/13/alerts-with-variables-from-the-messages-payload-xi--updated
Accordingly the alert is getting generated from BPM control step. But my problem is whenever i use container variable (&variable&), i am receiving blank long text in email and in alert inbox. It works fine with hard-coded text from BPM.
I could see the container variable value in SXMB_MONI but somehow it loses Long text.
    Thanks in advance.
    regards
    rajeev

    Hi rajeev,
Make sure that your variable name is correctly spelt in all the places.
check the assignment step when you pass the value to the variable.
You can try re assigning the value to the variable afresh.
Make sure you have the dynamic text option checked in the Alert Category.
