BPM and Substitution rule (Delegate mechanism)

can we create substitution rule (Delegate mechanism )using BPM

Hi,
I have one scenario..!
If the user is on leave and  and he is not submitting his task for more than 3 days automatically BPM has to redirect that task to another user with out any human involvement. Is it possible?? If so with what version.
Please help me on this.

  • UWL Guided Procedures and Substitution Rules functionality -  how possible?

    We are using Guided Procedures with Custom Web Dynpro objects and need to utilize user/role substitution that is easily enabled in other AdHoc tasks using 'Manage Substitution Rules.  Unfortunately when creating and turning ON a substitution rule in the UWL all Guided Procedure Tasks are excluded and do not show up in the substituting person's UWL.
    Does anyone have any ideas of how we can utilize Substitution Rules in UWL for all Guided Procedure tasks/steps?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi SteveW!
    The situation you're facing is the normal behavior from GP in relation with substitution feature of UWL.
    Unfortunately GP doesn't support substitution as the other UWL connectors do.

  • BPM Admin Define Substitution Rule

    Hello experts,
    I wonder if there is a way to define substitution rules on behalf of someone in BPM.
    One of our managers went to holiday without define rule and i have to nominate user for every task for him.
    Thank you everyone.

    Hi,
    You cannot define substitution rule on behalf of someone. If the task is assigned to a role, it can be accessed by other users in the role. You can add additional owners by following the below procedure, but you have to do at each task level.
    - Log on to the SAP NetWeaver Administrator application
    - Operation Management  -> Processes and Tasks -> Manage Tasks
    - Search for the task based on available options and open the task.
    - Select the Owners Tab -> you can see the owners responsible/processors for the task -> Select on Nominate Owner button and assign new user.
    You can perform the similar search from the Process Repository also.

  • BPM process and BRM rules process in same development component in NWDS

    Hi All,
    Is it possible to create the BPM process and BRM rules process in the same development component in NWDS?
    I tried but whenever we create it,say,first ly for BPM,that is File-New-Project-Development Component-Process Composer
    While once this development component is created I try to create rules composer in the same composer by right clicking on local development component as well as process composer but ther is no option of creating /calling rules composer/rules modeling.
    Can you please guide me creating both BPM process and BRM rules composer/rules modeling in the same development component if its possible?
    Thanks in advance

    Open your project explorer and expand the BPM project you have created. Locate a folder named "Rules" in the Project Tree. Right-click on the Rules folder and select 'Create new rule'. You can model your rules such as rule-scripts here and use it in the BPM.
    Note: These rules cannot be used outside the BPM Project.

  • Substitution rule has to triggered after save document in FB70 and FB75

    HI,
      I have a substitution rule for REFNR field  and that will trigger when you make FB70 and FB75 for 2 company codes. In the user exit for subustitution we have a code to get the next object number for some other purpose. because third party will use this generated next number for their legal requirement.
    The real problem comes this substitution rule is triggered before save document. due to this if i came back from the transaction without saving the document I am losing that generated number which i dont want.
    I need some tips on this. is there a way in the substituion settings we will trigger this exit at save document.
    I would appreciate your inputs on this.

  • Manage Substitution Rules UWL

    Dear.
    I have the following doubt with the Manage Substitution Rules UWL :
    Is posible have a rule in where Only some WF should go to the inbox of the substitute?
    Ie. The Boss have process of Workfow of modules OM, TV, PA, PY that arrives at UWL, and the boss only need delegate to the substitute only the item for the process of WF of PY and PA for a date.
    How can solve this?
    Regards

    Yes there is something called Task classification!
    You can do so via filtering or classification of tasks
    read here
    You will need to enable the support information in order to get the
    associated task number that corresponds to the backend task.
    If you wish to hide certain tasks, the easiest way to do it is to
    redirect the task type that you want to hide to some unused item type.
    You can create your own XML file and give
    each task number its own entry in the XML
    They each need to be given a different item type name. They can't
    all be directed into the same item type since there would be
    multiple conflicting definitions for that item type in the file.
    No view definition is needed, you can just give it a garbage
    defaultView name (HiddenView).
    I have attached an example for you in the attachment area. This is
    stored as a text file. Also,
    Where you see the following:
    systemId="<YOURSID>" externalType="<YOURTASK>" in the XML, this
    obviously needs to be replaced with your sid and your task id which
    you are looking to exclude.
    For ex
    For example, if it is the following task pasted below:
    <ItemType name="uwl.task.webflow.TS01000096.SAP_R3_MUS"
    connector="WebFlowConnector" defaultView="DefaultView"
    defaultAction="launchSAPAction" executionMode="default">
    If you were trying to hide this, you would write it in the XML file
    as follows:
    <ItemTypes>
    <ItemType name="uwl.someHiddenType1"
    connector="WebFlowConnector" defaultView="HiddenView">
    <ItemTypeCriteria systemId="SAP_R3_MUS"
    externalType="TS01000096" connector="WebFlowConnector"/>
    </ItemType>
    ***************And for the next one:*********************
    <ItemType name="uwl.someHiddenType2" connector="WebFlowConnector"
    defaultView="HiddenView">
    <ItemTypeCriteria systemId="SAP_R3_MUS"
    externalType="TS01000097"
    connector="WebFlowConnector"/>
    </ItemType>
    Classification
    You can arrange tasks and workflows into various classes within the SAP
    System. The classes professional, personal and disciplinary are
    standard. The system checks the task class under the field name
    TASK_CLASS in the authorization object S_WF_WI. This system uses this
    authorization object to check the authorization for carrying out
    specific actions on particular work items. The assignment of tasks to
    classes is also important in the definition of substitutes. You can
    also define that only those classes are displayed which refer to tasks
    or workflows of a particular class. Take this into account when you
    create new classes and assign tasks or workflows to the classes.
    You can set this classification via:
    SPRO
    => IMG
    => Basis Components
    => Business Management
    => SAP Business Workflow
    => Basic Settings
    => Maintain Task Classes.
    Once the classification has been added as above you can then add this to
    your task. Goto PFTS => Enter task ID => Change Mode => Menu: Addition
    data => Classification.

    [2] Substitute Profile
    You can define one or more substitutes for working with the Business
    Workplace. The authorizations of a substitute are determined by the
    substitute profile which you assign to him/her when you set up the
    substitution. A substitute profile comprises specific task classes.
    Task classes describe individual tasks or standard tasks. This
    assignment is made in the task definition. A user you have specified
    can then log on as your substitute. "Your" work items are displayed to
    the substitute in their Business Workplace with the restrictions
    resulting from their substitute profile.
    You can set the substitution profile via:
    SPRO
    => IMG
    => Basis Components
    => Business Management
    => SAP Business Workflow
    => Basic Settings
    => Substitute Profile
    => Define Substitute Profile

  • Need to bypass Material substitution rule for SO created through RFC

    Hello SAP Geniuses,
    I have an external process that creates Sales orders using a RFC calling BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2.
    My Users want to create orders for Materials that have substitution rules defined, but they want to bypass these rules when the Sales Orders are created from the external process. Other Users in the same Sales Organization and Distribution Channel need the substitution rule to sell these materials, so config cannot solve this.
    I have already tried detecting when  VBAP-MATNR NE VBAP-MATWA  and calling BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE with the original MATNR, but the same substitution occurs in this FM.
    Can anyone point me to a User Exit or BADI that can add flexibility to the Material Substitution mechanism in SD module?

    Jack,
    You are a genius!
    These are the steps I followed to implement this idea:
    1) VOFM -> Requirements -> Material determination -> New rule in the 800 series
    2) Insert code into rule with SSCR key; Activate code; Activate rule.
    3) Run utility program RV80HGEN to create rule in FG V61D -> SAPLV61D -> LV61DNNN -> RV61DNNN -> RV61D8xx
    4) SPRO-> Sales and Distribution -> Basic Functions -> Maintain Prerequisites for Material Determination -> Maintain procedure -> select procedure -> double-click "Control data" -> enter rule into box "Requiremnt". Save.
    5) SPRO-> Sales and Distribution -> Basic Functions -> Assign Procedures To Sales Document Types -> select doc type of interest -> enter procedure name into field "MatDeterm." for doc type. Save.

  • Fill in for Me Substitution Rule - Why no offline approval mail to Deputy?

    Dear Experts,
    in SRM 7.0 CS, i am facing the following question w.r.t. the substitution rule:
    When a user (approver) creates the Receive my tasks substitution rule for a deputy, than, when ever there are new SC get ordered that need to receive an approval from the "original" approver, not only this original approver but also the deputy receives a the offline approval mail.
    But in case the "original" approver maintaines the second substitution rule - the Fill in for Me rule, than no offline approval mail is sent out to the deputy.
    Can you maybe help me out with a pointer regarding a possible root cause?
    Thank you very much.

    Hi Balaji.T.
    sorry for the missing clarity in the formulation.
    What i usually see in my system is, that when a work item is created (in general) than on one hand this work item gets sent via the workflow to the (universal) work list of the responsible. And on another hand, there is also an offline approval mail that is being sent via an email to the approver. In that offline approval mail, there is a description of the shopping cart content and also a link included. Via that link the approver can branch out into the shopping cart itself, out of the offline approval mail.
    So, the above described behaviour i see also, when the first of the substitution rules is used. The delegate receives both, the work item via the workflow into the work list. And also the offline approval e-mail.
    But when the second substitution rule is in use, than there is only the distribution of the workitem to the work list of the delegate there. But the delegate does not receive the offline approval e-mail.
    Thank you.

  • Substitution Rule in SAP 7.0

    Hello Experts,
    We are in SRM 7.0
    What is the meaning and the functionality of u201CFill in for meu201D selection, that can be met in the course of the engaging of the substitution rule?What is the difference between u201CReceive my tasksu201D and u201CFill in for meu201D?
    Any pointer will be highly appreciated,
    Regards,
    Rupesh

    Hi,
    Receive my tasks means that your taslks will be traasfered to your substitutes for the period determined meaning between start and end date.
    Fill in for me means that if you didn't plan to be unavailable (no start and end date), your substitute could take your tasks.

  • 500 internal error in managhe substitution rule in UWL

    Hi All,
    One user is getting 500 internal error when cklicks on manage substitution rule in UWL.Only one user is facing this problem.
    I checked in backend system, so substitute exists.
    Can some body help me what could be the problem? Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Thirun.

    Hi Thirun,
    This is a common issue and usually has to do if the 'substitutee' for lack of a better word, is no longer a valid user.
    4. When there is a substitution rule connecting the current user to a
    deleted user, the following problems were discovered:
       - substitution rule management returns 500 browser error;
       - it is not possible to delete a Java Workflow substitution which
    refers to a deleted user as assignee;
       - Java workflow connector is not able to retrieve items for user that
    has a substitution rule with a deleted user;
       - The "status", "What to do", "assignee" and "Task Owner" fields are
    not properly filled in the Manage Substitution Rules view.
    Do a search in SAP notes in component EP-BC-UWL and also for your version.  Alternatively you can let me know the version here and I can tell you in what release this is fixed in that matches closest to your version.  (maybe only a patch required).

    Have you ensured that the source person actually HAS items in their inbox?
    Because of the way that task processing occurs you might also want to make sure that the source person hasnt already started processing the item.  You should ensure that the task item is "released" in the backend - something as simple as opening the item could cause this.  Once you open an item it is locked into your inbox - I dont believe from memory that these can then be substituted to someone else.
    If all of that appears OK  (and you can actually see the items mixed with your own) then I would suggest you check the properties of the iview and make sure that all "options" (like buttons etc) are turned on.  In EP7.0 there is much more control over what is / isnt displayed to the end user.  Those facilities (filters) you speak about "should" become visible when you have susbstituted items.
