BPM for merging

Dear All,
I have a BPM that merges files .
I have put 2 files on source side.
I am getting 2 lines in MONI . One line for file A to IP and second line for file B to IP.
Both of them are showing chequeured(success) flag as status but the outbound status is "message being sent".
I am not getting any line in MONI for IP to target.

What's the component as you use it in BPM?
Is it fork? If it yes, You need to design correlation. The correlation with check the condition of those messages. Whenever the condition is true the message will process. You can find example and description about this from http://help.sap.com/

Thanks for your reply. I change the file and reconfigure the BPM for weblogic. However, it is still failed in 70-72%.

Configuration is failed - BPM for Weblogic 10.3.1

1, I install BPM for Weblogic.
2, I create a domain for weblogic using config tool and start it.
3, I create a new directory.
However, the configuration is failed.

I noticed this afternoon that Oracle's refering to Oracle WebLogic 10.3.1 as "Oracle WebLogic 11g".
Know this comes as no surprise to you, but when I tried to install Oracle BPM 10gR3 Enterprise on WebLogic 11g (WebLogic 10.3.1) this afternoon it failed. A friend pointed out to me that Oracle WebLogic 11g does not support the DataDirect JDBC driver. Since Oracle BPM Enterprise 10gR3 uses this driver to connect to both its Engine database and Directory Service databases, he's thinking this might be the cause of our problem.
It would be worth verifying this with Support. Here's what I think they'll point you to. The Oracle BPM 10gR3 release notes(http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13154_01/bpm/docs65/relnotes/release_notes_OracleBPM10gR3.htm#N65589) indicate that the only WebLogic application servers supported are Oracle WebLogic 10.3 (10gR3), Oracle WebLogic 10.0 MP1.
Again, talk to Support, but I don't think there's a workaround. The only thing I think you can do is to uninstall WebLogic 10.3.1 and then install WebLogic 10.3 if you want to install Oracle BPM 10gR3 Enterprise on it.

Usually Application Level Acknowledgement is considered during Sync communication. If you are using RFC, you can make use of Sync communication. So you can handle it without bpm, provided your both sender and receiver are sync interfaces.

you can not dirrectly access the content of the ACK, however the BPM shows different behaviours based on the ACK status. E.g. if the ACK contains a success message the BPM will continue in its normal process, if the ACK contains a permanent error, it will either stop or go through an exception branch (provided such a branch has been defined). STEPS in BPM for synchornous.

Hi,
I have to persist one field using BPM for synchonous.
Assume it as Empid. I am getting it from JMS and am sending to SOAP which is a synchornous interface.
While sending to SOAP, i am stripping it out and sending, along with the response received from SOAP, i need to re-assign the empid and send it to JMS.
As i know this can be achieved thru BPM, what are the steps i need to do, as i have not worked in BPM, it would be good to guide on this scenario.
Please give me the steps like how many send, receive, container, how to attach the data back while sending to JMS etc.,

Oracle BPM for Network Management Projects

Has anybody used Oracle BPM for network management projects with millions of events?
Can Oracle BPM handle it?

Please follow this step may this solve your problem.
please modify any thing in process "ExpenseReporting" for example any transition or any activity to place some where else or any other modification and then save that process. Then clean the project and build and deploy it.
if this also not solve the problem then export that project to and import it again in your workspace (Create new workspace or change the project name in same workspace ) and then again clean, build and deploy the application then test in work space.

You can specify as many (or as few) datafiles as you like.
Then create tables in your new tablespace x_old_table_name(s) - you can Google this.

Can I use Publications SDK for merging PDFs?

Hi,
Can i use Publications SDK for merging PDFs.? Logically i think it should be possible.
Scenario:- PDFs will be the report output format for webI, Crystal etc. I will query the repository and get the PDF instances from various BO Reports. Can i use this PDFs as input for Publications SDK? Is there any known limitations?
Please help.

Can you please provide a brief description on 'There's an out-of-the-box post-processing extension that merges PDF from Crystal.'
I'm already using Itext. but it is a costly affair as PDF file size is an issue (200 single page PDF results in 8 MB). And seems like there is no otherway around in Itext to compress PDF.
About using WebI and Crystal together, I will export PDF from these and give those PDF as input for Publications.Then it should work. Right?

OK, I've been doing this since CS2 with no need for a script. To hide guides and show preview...
1) Go to 'Keyboard Shortcuts'
2) Go to 'Product Area - Tools'. Yes, you'd think it would be in Views! But the buttons for this is at the bottom of the Tool Bar.
3) Go to 'Commands: Toggle view setting between default and preview'
4) Click your cursor inside 'New Shortcut' and hit the key you want or type it in. I choose the unused F2 key
5) Click the 'Assign' button and you are set. Hit the key to switch back and forth.
As for your mouse Zoom, use Power Zoom as described above or just hold down the Alt/Option button in 'Hand' mode and use the scroll wheel to zoom in and out. Not one step but it works!
Now you won't miss Quark at all!

Code for merging cells

what is the code for merging cells ? to create a shortcut ?

"Merging cells" usually means combining two cells so they are one. The screenshot below shows cells B2 and C2 merged. There is no "code" to do it. Select the two cells, right click, choose "merge cells".
But if you meant how do you take the values from two cells and concatenate them together, you can use the & operator or the CONCATENATE function. The formula in cell D3 is shown in the formula bar in the image below.
A "shortcut" usually means a "keyboard shortcut" which is the assignment of a key (or combination of keys) to a menu item. For instance, Command S is the shortcut for File/Save or File/Save As. You can assign shortcuts to menu items by opening up System Preferences and going to the Keyboard section.
But if you meant "hyperlink" such as to a web page, you can use the HYPERLINK function or just type in the link and et Numbers automatically detect it as a link.

Glossary hotpsots for merged projects

Hi all,
Has anyone done glossary hotspots for merged projects?
If so what is the official way of doing this please?
My intention at present is to have a single glossary residing in the master project for simplicity of maintentnance but I'd be interested to hear what others have tried etc.

I'd say so. It makes it easier knowing that all the glossary items go in the same place which also means you can ensure there is no duplication between projects. You didn't really want the links anyway did you

BPM: Messager Merge - Transformation Mapping Problem

Hi,
I tried an eg for time bound message merging (rather adding the items in the message).
I am using a single datatype/message type.
I was able to do the message mapping/interface mapping test by changing the source by making it 0 to unbounded and on the target I have same message type.
This test was successful.I went ahead with the creating the scenario .I used a file adapter for picking up a file. The message monitor shows it is picked it and sent to the bpm.
but the bpm part failed I checked in bpe monitor.It just says the mapping failed(transformation step).prior to which there is a receive step and container operation step which I used it for append the message .these are under a block and this block has a infinite loop for collecting the messages.There is a exception thrower(control step) which is for 2 minutes.this handled by a exception handler.and I guess my file was collected and send to the transformation step after this.but the thing is it never seems to appended since the two files are shown as two seperate error messages in transformation rather than as single ...
Can somebody tell what could be the problem/where to look for the file.

I am getting more and more sure that the problem is at the block entry only...becoz i checked with direct entry to loop with a counter as loop breaker.it entered the loop and added the lines to the message with multiple lines.and once it hit the counter it came out and did the transformation successfully and sent it to the target system.
when i add the block it fail right at the block entry for the first message after that all the messages show the green flag clicking on pe would show an empty queue...
I guess the only step happening before the block is the correlation key creation i amn't sure if this is giving some problems..
NOW FOR THE BPM Steps....
1.I created the correlation key.
2.I put the block for the block i added the correlation key and exception name.
3.I put the exception branch and the deadline branch
4.on the exception branch i put the name of the exception to be handled.
5. on the deadline branch i put a 2 minute duration
6.within the deadline branch i put the control which throws the exception...
7.i added a loop to the block which is 1 = 1.in that there is a recieve step
8.after that there is container operation which adds the message to the list...
9.followed by outside the block i have a transformation and send steps..
10.the block is in default mode.
I tried creating the scenario completely again and again with different datatype etc to avoid the cache problem + workflow item locked problem...
but no luckk
