CRM 2007 Integration with Lotus Notes 8.0 (Groupware Integration)
Hi
We are doing CRM 2007 Integration with Lotus Notes 8.0. So i need your help in this regard.I have the following documents with me.....
a) SAP CRM Groupware Connector Relase 4.0 (Installation Guide)
b) SAP CRM Groupware Connector Relase 4.0 (Administrative Guide) c) MapBox 4.0 sp 11 &
d) Groupware Integration installation Guide.
We have started with Groupware connector Release 4.0 Installation guide
We stucked at
5.3 Installing Lotus Domino Groupware Connector
Procedure
1. Log on to your host using prepared Groupware Connector's administrative account.
2. Launch setup.exe
3. Click Next on the Welcome screen.
4. Read the text on the Installation Prerequisites screen and check if your computer meets all the software
and hardware requirements. If yes, press Next.
5. Select the type of SAP Groupware Connector you want to install. Check if you want to install instance of
Default Groupware Connector Proxy. Then press Next, wait while setup routine detects required
software.*
Now my questions are....
1. Where will this setup.exe come from?
2. Do we need to install the things in the same mannare listed above a,b,c,d?
3. As we are implementing CRM 2007, i hope we dont need install Mapbox.
Please help me in successfull Integration.
Thanks in Advance,

Re: Link between sap crm 2007 with lotus 8
Posted: Oct 23, 2008 10:30 PM in response to: Naveen Raju E-mail this message Reply
Hi Naveen,
thanks for your detailed description. This is exactly the way how the Client GWI is getting set up. one little remark from my side on the steps.
The user field are not required to be filled if you use Lotus Notes. this is only for the case of MS Outlook where you can start the synch from the OL Screen as well.
The password field is not used with either groupware system. So you leave it blank and with the first replication run you are asked to type (and maybe save) your password. it is there as the application is shared with Mobiel sales as well and therfore we could not get rid of it.
Supported platforms
In general both the server and client GWI were tested with Lotus 8.0 and CRM 7.0.
For server GWI Domino 8 is already supported for greater CRM 5.0, so should work with LD 8.0.
The installation guide for GWI is available here ...
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm60/helpdata/en/44/559f3699d908fae10000000a422035/frameset.htm
I case of further issues pls contact me by mail or to this post.
best regards.

SAP integration with Lotus Notes
Hello Experts,
As we can do MS-Outlook integration with SAP BOne,my client is using "Lotus Notes",so if I want to integrate it with SAP Business One How it will be possible.
Plase let me know,
Thanking You!
GaurawHi Gauraw,
Some information a colleague found on this:
==================
How to connect Microsoft Outlook with Lotus Notes e-mail servers
As none of the applications are SAP B1, the best resource is from
Microsoft and IBM
How to connect Microsoft Outlook with Lotus Notes e-mail servers

==================
Also:
The SBOMailer Service uses SMTP for sending emails - that means if the
Lotus Notes have an SMTP gateway/connector your client will be able to
use it for sending emails. Be aware that the gateway should not use SMTP
authentification (please see the note 782611). In that case you should
use an additional program between Lotus Notes and SBOMailer Service.

Any other intergration does not exist to the best of my knowledge.
Hope some of this is useful.

Workflow integration with Lotus Notes
Greetings my friends,
I got a new workflow project and I need to know the viability to make a integration between the Workflow and Lotus Notes.
I already searched the forum for some tips, and only found one thread about it from 2006. There, say's about the a "Lotus-SAP connector" and some restrictions. I don´t know with this restrictions still aplys now a days. Or if we have other etter options.
Sry, I still dont have any details about the workflow cause I am still discussing with the funtional about it. (infos about it's complexibilty).
Att,
José Oliveira.Hi Jose,
I've done this recently in our project.
You need NOT to have a Lotus - SAP connector for this if you are in version ECC6.
Try to access tcode SWNCONFIG. This will not require you to have any middleware or some sort. This is just plainly a CONFIGURATION task in the said tcode.
Just search a documentation on SWNCONFIG Extended Notifications.

Integration with Lotus Notes 8.5 - Room Reservation System to Add Approval Steps
I have implemented several LiveCycle Forms with Some Workflow all
based on XML and .NET. All working fine.
Now, I have a new project (yet to be approved) which is to add
Workflow and Approval Steps for Lotus Notes Room Reservation System.
The current system on Lotus Notes, is out-of-the-box from Lotus, and
it is working very well, and it has great repeat option to setup the
required schedule to make the needed room reservation system.
The user now requested to add some new features like add 2 more
approval steps, and some new fields.
I can modify the application in Lotus Notes, but this will creat a new
problem. If there is new version coming for this system from Lotus
Notes, then I will have to sync the modifications I did, and it will
be a problem.
I have put some screen shots to help understand what we are talking
about:
https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B97clwYte2SHYmUyZTRiZDEtZWRjZS00YmQ3LTg1MDUtM2MxNmYyYTIzM 2Ix&hl=en
I have developed several programs in the past, I was able to connect
to Lotus Notes Database from .NET.
My plan is to develop the new Form in Adobe LC Desinger, with all the
new required features, and connect to what ever existing functions/
data to Lotus Notes (in both directions).
The only thing I need help for is how to capture the Repeating
Calendar Entry. I think this will take some effort. Becuase, once I
capture all input parameters, I have to call a Web Service (in .NET)
to get a list of Free Rooms to choose from.
Here are my questions:
1. Do you have any feedback on the above ?
2. Any one has done any work to capture a repeating calendar entry in
a PDF Form ?Hi Anil

Is RDC integration with Lotus notes apps possible using CR XI and lotus 8
Hi,
We have reporting feature implemented in one of lotus notes application using crystal reports 6 (OCX) and as Crystal report is going to be upgraded to CR XI version in my organisation, we need to implement the same using RDC component.
Background (on how it has been implemented using CR 6 ) :-
i) Lotusscript generate few CSV file and pick a .RPT file from profile doc and places it under one folder on local machin (say x).
ii) RPT file is designed to pick data from CSV file using system DSN (data source).
iii) Data source (system DSN) has been configured with folder (x) that contains CSV and RPT file .
iv) Crystal report control object has been embedded in the lotus notes form and lotusscript code gets handle of control object and opens the report (RPT)file .
We have set up all neccesary environment and trying to implement above functionality using RDC component but when we are embedding the crstal report report viewer in a lotus notes form , it throws an error "An error has occured while processing a request on an object".
Please let me know if it possible using RDC or can anyone suggest me some other alternatives .
TIAHello,
You should be able to use the RDC in Lotus Notes. There are significant differences between the object model for the old OCX (crystl32.ocx) compared to the Report Designer Component (RDC) and it's components, the craxdrt.dll, crviewer.dll, etc.
I was able to find an older document that shows how to integrate CR9 into Lotus Notes: "[Using the Report Designer Component (RDC) in Lotus Notes|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/index?rid=/library/uuid/50ce64b3-241f-2b10-b792-9685d3815a21]". You can use this as a starting point to compare with your code.
The RDC object model hasn't changed much since CR9, but some of the runtime component references in the document may need to be correct (e.g. craxdrt.dll for v11.x vs craxdrt9.dll for v9.x).
It is worth noting that the RDC has been retired with the release of CR2008. CR XIR2 (v11.5) is the last version of Crystal Reports that uses the RDC. The suggested migration path is to move to the Crystal Reports .NET SDK. This means you'll have no upgrade path with a v11.x application.

Regards,
KevinCan you please try to do the following in the steps .
1) Search for the file nslbe.dll which can be in the folder c:\program files\notes . Add the location to the PATH variable in the environment variables.
2) Go to the installation folder for Lotus notes which might be c:\program files\Lotus\Notes\jvm\lib\ext . In this folder please put the following files Notes.jar,mail.jar,activation.jar, nslbe.dll. Please do take care that you will need to add the files in the folder ..\jvm\lib\ext
3) Add the ..\jvm\lib\ext folder location to your environment variables.
4) Create a environment variable JAVA_HOME and add the location of the jre-bin,lib and the JDK-bin,lib to this.
Restart your Server and the system where in you want to install the connector and try to run the installation again . -

regards, wilLotus Notes/Domino enables one to access it's mail services via several protocols other than just Notes RPC. For example, one could use HTTP, POP3, and IMAP4...all accessing the same mail backend services. Mail repositories are in the proprietary Notes database (NSF files). These databases contain designs which enable different behavior based on the the protocol/client accessing the mail store.
The Notes/Domino Server has all the above protocols native (as well as smtp) to the server, all you have to do is turn on the protocols you want to support, and vioala!...It's really quite a robust messaging infrastructure.
Based on what you described, I'm not sure why you'd need JavaMail...just leverage the services you already get with the Domino infrastructure.
Good Luck.
