When does BPM come into picture? How to decide that for a particular scenario BPM is necessary.

Hi Naveen,
Simple message processing on the Integration Server is stateless. This means that the Integration Server does not know of any connections between various messages.
BPM, on the other hand, describe related processes, which can use the knowledge about messages that have already been processed to further control the process.
As for performance is concerned with BPM, it is a very important issue to be taken into account. BPM is proccessor intensive and I have heard that it can lead to various problems like queue and cache.

Adding timestamp to be burned into picture

Hi!
Fore some reasons I need to burn into pictures (right bottom corner) a date and time of pictures when they be takened.
Is it possible to do this in Aperture? Maybe not but is some plugin for this?

Didn't realize there was an update for BrderFX so I figured I give it a try.
While playing around with it discovered that you can get the date formatter that you use to get with the gear wheel by double clicking the date in the metadata box on the image.

Transparent slides into pictures

I was told I could take a "slide" - the transparent kind you show through a projector up on a screen, scan them and turn them into a picture slide show in my Photoshop program. I have Photoshop Premiere 5.0 and Elements 3.0

There are available accessories for digitizing 35mm. slides using a digital camera. Just one example is here:

I have also seen plans for constructing a light box to hold the slide, illuminate it, and secure the digital camera - a home made version. Unfortunately I did not save the directions, but perhaps you can find it by googling.

IPad photo app crashes when zooming into pictures

I have about 15 GB of photos on this iPad- and the photo app crashes any time I try to pinch to zoom into a picture. anyone else having this problem? what's the deal? works sometimes but crashes 2 out of three times.

Did you get any fruitful answers from an Apple Genius? Sure wouldn't mind saving myself a trip. Thanks.
Nutshell:
I've had two iPads thus far where I cannot use the Photos app because anytime I scroll it crashes.
I had my first iPad replaced since it couldn't play any video without the entire machine locking up and requiring a forced restart. (see http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=11320267&#11320267 ) The Photos app on my first iPad would also crash anytime I attempted to scroll through my photos.
Now, the Photos app on my second, replacement iPad is behaving the same way, it always crashes when I scroll.
Observations:
• I didn't put any of the same photos back on my replacement iPad, I started with an empty Photos app which ever since only contains images that I've saved to the Photos app from other apps on the iPad, e.g. screenshots, saving images from Safari, Mail, etc.
• I did test drive the Photos app after having saved only a handful of images ( ≈ 30 imgs) and was happy to see that it DID NOT crash. Unfortunately it wasn't long after, having had saved a handful or so more images to the photo library that the app again began to crash anytime I would begin scrolling down through images.

Scaling JPEGs to fit into picture control

Hallo NG,
I have a frontpanel with a fixed sized picture-control where I want to
display a JPEG-Image.
I use the ReadJPEG and DrawFlattenedPixmap to display. Now, if my JPEG is of
bigger size than my picture control, the rest of the image gets clipped.
How can I scale a JPEG image to fit it into the control. If the control and
the image have different aspect ratios, that's OK, I could scale it down
with fixed ratio, and leave parts of the control blank.
So again: How can I scale the images, is it possible with those two VIs
mentioned above or do I have to make it more low-level and complex ?

A solution I prefer to use involves .NET and a GDI Resize, this method supports many file formats, and bit depths, and seems pretty quick when .NET can be used.

Where DES comes into picture in SPNEGO implemented in Web application

i am trying to implement SPNEGO in web application since the IE is supporting SPNEGO . Client is the IE and the server code written in java. basic things are working. now i have doubt of where this mutual authentication and DES encryption comes in this scenario... pls anybody..help me in this..

Mutual authentication can be requested before establishing the security context.
An encryption type must be chosen for communication. In old versions of JRE, only DES is supported, so you must config Windows Active Directory to create DES keys for users. The latest JRE updates (from 1.4.2 to 6) already support RC4 which is the default encryption algorithm in Windows.

Safari going into "picture" mode

Got some strange problem with my Macbook and safari. it happens like 1 or 2 times an hour when surfing with safari. symptoms are:
safari freezes: no beachball or hang up, i just can't click links or buttons anymore. it "feels" like safari is just a picture and not a program anymore. strange is if this happens i can't access the dock anymore (not even dock magnification works). the only way to make things right again is switching to another program with "command + tab" and after the switch clicking on safari with the mouse if i switch back to safari with "command + tab" it still doesn't work.
searched through the forums, but couldn't find help. is this an intel, a os x or a safari problem?
btw. every software (and of course OS) up to date.

Hi Lukas
I haven't heard of this problem with Safari before...
It's worth taking a look in your console & system logs using the Console application in Applications/Utilities/ to see if there are any entries at the time of the freezes; this may indicate if the problem is an os one. Copy any entries you're uncertain of & post them here.
You can probably determine if it is an intel issue by running Safari under Rosetta for a while - see http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303120 for more information about this.
As a more general trouble-shooting effort - try resetting Safari via Safari-Reset Safari . Note the warning message you'll see & write down any usernames/passwords that may be stored in cookies before doing this.
Also - Trashing the file /home/library/preferences/cpm.apple.safari.plist can sometimes fix problems..... you'll lose any changes you made in Safari-Preferences.
I think I would check the console first though.

When I'm streaming photos to ipad from my PC, those will be in a streamed area. They do not show up in "pictures", and I'm not able to put them into an album. I'm using icloud. Are there any solutions of my problem?

I would like to make an album at my Ipad. The first pictures I transfered, did get into "pictures", and I could make a photo album. Later I did get them into streamed areas, but they did not get any ways to make an album. They did not apply to "pictures", and when I make an album and tries to import the pictures, the streamed pictures do not show up. What can be done?

Uploading pictures into database through servlet

I'm having problems uploading pictures from servlet to a database:

The exception is thrown on the setBytes line.
I also tried to add

INSERT_PICTURE_BYTES.setBinaryStream(1, input, bytes.length);and..
InputStream in = input;
INSERT_PICTURE_BYTES.setBinaryStream(1, in, bytes.length);...both giving error message: Io exception: Connection reset.
The exception is thrown on the setBinaryStream line.
I have never done this before and I can't figure out what to do. Anyone?
