BPM Required ??

I have the following scenario
1) Sync SOAP Sender sends data to XI (Webservice call to XI)
2) XI calls a stored procedure in a database ( JDBC Receiver ) (Sync)
3) Based on result of step2 jdbc call, XI will call another stored procedure in a database ( Jdbc receiver 2) (Sync)
4) Pass back the result to sync SOAP Sender
Is possible to do this scenario without BPM ??
If I have to use the BPM waht are the possible steps?
Thanks a lot.

  • Oracle BPM requirement

    Hi all,
I have a requirement in Oracle BPM 12c that I want to know how I can achieve that. Suppose I have a hierarchy of three users
    i) Initiator ------------------>>> ii) Manager ---------------------->>> iii) Director
Initiator submit a request and lets say manager have approved it then it will go to director tasks. Now manager has approved it but latter if he says he did not approved it, how we can check that if he approved or not? How I can maintain that information. Really appreciate for the help.
    Regards

    Hi,
Rajeev is right. You can store the approval information that flows over your project. But you have a couple of options that also can help you to ensure approvals on BPM:
    - You can ask for password or a digital certificate (11g - 12c): https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/user.1111/e15175/bpmug_ws_perform_tasks.htm#BPMUG10445
    - You can define permissions on the Access tab (11g - 12c):
    - You can ask for a comment before select an action (12c):
    - Also you can show the actions only in the task details:
And remember that the audit trail tracks who is doing what.

I follow this blog to the letter - because it is the same as my scenario:

  • BPM - Requirement for CCMS Setup?

    Hi all,
In the BPM setup guide, it says: "The Computing Center Management System or CCMS Alert Monitor (transaction /nrz20) provides the underlying monitoring infrastructure for Business Process Monitoring."
Is there any further information on exactly what CCMS Setup is required at a minimum in the Solution Manager and in the Monitored system for BPM to function correctly?
I read the technical prerequisites which are described in SAP notes 784752 - "BPMon in SAP Solution Manager - Prerequisites" and 521820 - "Availability of Business Process Monitoring". The first note does not reference CCMS, and the second one only makes reference to it if you want to use "CCMS Monitors" in BPM.
Thanks for any guidance on this,
    Regards,
    John

    Hi JD
To use CCMS monitoring in BPMon, 1st, please implement Note 1293668 as described in Note
521820. This note fix the problem of CCMS monitoring related problem.

    >(d) CCMS Monitor
    >If you plan link any CCMS monitors from the managed systems into
    >Business Process Monitoring implement SAP Note 1293668.
About the procedure, you just need to copy and past MTE from RZ20 of related system.
In more detail, please refer to the document in below.
    http://www.service.sap.com/bpm
    ->Technical information
    ->->Setup Guide - Interface Monitoring
Page 78 describe the steps on CCMS monitoring setup.
(Originally this description is for one of the monitoring topic for PI area.
Create MTE for PI and by using CCMS monitoring of BPMon, include the MTE to the BPMon.
But the page above exactly describe the step that you need to do for CCMS monitoring.
This apply for your case as well).

  • Split message - BPM required?

    Hi,
I receive one XML message that has N records to be posted to target system. The mapping uses a WSDL external message as target. This has 1..1 occurrence. I cannot change this WSDL.
How do I split the receiving message into N messages and call the target system N times to post N records?
Is integration process needed for this?
    Thanks.

    Is this asynchronous scenario?
    If yes,
Use multimapping. Change the no. of occurrences in message tab of message mapping and interface mapping to 0..n for target message.
It will generate n multiple messages.
Use enhanced interface determination in ID.
There is no need to edit wsdl.
    Thanks,

  • SAP Workflow as Enterprise BPM tool?

    Howdy,
This doesn't seem to fit in BPM Methodology Forum....  nor is it a purely technical question of SAP Workflow.
Another part of our company is starting vendor evaluation process for possible purchase of BPM tool (IBM Lombardi, Appian, Tibco, etc) after ruling out open source options.   Should I suggest they look at SAP Workflow & UWL as "existing/free" option we own?   Will it cleanly manage events from non-SAP applications?
    Background:
    1) We've never adopted SAP Workflow (expertise limited); maybe have three to five in Production.
    2) Enterprise BPM requirements are to integrated various applications/events from various platforms worldwide (75% of events would not be SAP centric).
    3) We've discontinued our XI server... all we had from SAP was SUS Interface (in 6 yrs).  We have Tibco EMS & BW for middleware connectivity.   Will SAP Workflow/UWL function without SAP XI - will it integrate with Tibco?
    4) Large population without SAPGUI., use UWL now from some actions... would need to use UWL for Enterprise access - or should consider BWSP?
Anything else that would help to answer the general question of using SAP Workflow for non-SAP events/data?
    Thanks,

I was hoping for a better answer.... a work-around to use our Tibco infrastructure (repl XI) and "hooks" into SAP.   Darn....
I wasn't finding very many articles, etc. that were encouraging SAP Workflow as an Enterprise BPM.
But thanks for your experience and reply....

  • How to use BPM's in File 2 File Scenerio

    Hi All,
Please do let me know when do we use BPM's in File2File scenerio and also let me know the example for the same.
    Thanks
    Sudharshan

    Hey,
BPM generally is not required in a file to file scenario.
And as far as possible avoid the use of BPM.
In most of the file to file scenario BPM is not required.
But in certain scenario(file to file) it is required.
    for example N:1 mapping.
that is when you have two sender and one reciever.
in this case it is mandatory to use bpm.
because during configuration it is not possible to give two senders in your interface determination.
hence if you use a BPM  interface mapping will be referred in your BPM and there is no need for maaping to be reffered in Interface determination.
In order to design a BPM for this scenario
    steps.
    1) create a data tyoe and message type for sender and reciver file structure.
    2) do the required mapping.
    3) create abstract asynch interface for the two message types.(as bpm requires abstract type)
    4) create a BPM.
    5) create two container type variables fr the two abstract interface(you cannot refer to the abstract interface directly)
    6) assign a recieve step of type async a in this step select the container variable created corresponding to the sender abstract interface .
    7) assign a transformation step and refer to the interface mapping in it.
    8) assign a send step and  select the container variable created corresponding to the reciever  abstract interface .
    your BPM is configured.
    reward points if useful.

  • Calling Stored Procedure from Oracle DataBase using Sender JDBC (JDBC-JMS)

    Hi All,
We have requirement to move the data from Database to Queue (Interface Flow: JDBC -> JMS).
    Database is Oracle.
*Based on Event, data will be triggered into two tables: XX & YY. This event occurs twice daily.
Take one field: 'aa' in XX and compare it with the field: 'pp' in YY.
    If both are equal, then
if the field: 'qq' in YY table equals to "Add" then take the data from the view table: 'Add_View'.
else  if the field: 'qq' in YY table equals to "Modify"  then take the data from the view table: 'Modify_View'.
Finally, We need to archive the selected data from the respective view table.*
From each table, data will come differently, means with different field names.
I thought of call Stored Procedure from Sender JDBC Adapter for the above requirement.
But I heard that, we cannot call stored procedure in Oracle through Sender JDBC as it returns Cursor instead of ResultSet.
Is there any way other than Stored Procedure?
How to handle Data Types as data is coming from two different tables?
Can we create one data type for two tables?
Is BPM required for this to collect data from two different tables?
Can somebody guide me on how to handle this?
Waiting eagerly for help which will be rewarded.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Jyothirmayi.

    Hi Gopal,
    Thank you for your reply.
    >Is there any way other than Stored Procedure?
Can you try configuring sender adapter to poll the data in intervals. You can configure Automatic TIme planning (ATP) in the sender jdbc channel.
I need to select the data from different tables based on some conditions. Let me simplify that.
Suppose Table1 contains 'n' no of rows. For each row, I need to test two conditions where only one condition will be satisfied. If 1st condition is satisfied, then data needs to be taken from Table2 else data needs to be taken from Table3.
How can we meet this by configuring sender adapter with ATP?
    ================================================================================================
    >How to handle Data Types as data is coming from two different tables?
If you use join query in the select statement field of the channel then whatever you need select fields will be returned. This might be fields of two tables. your datatype fields are combination of two diff table.
we need to take data only from one table at a time. It is not join of two tables.
    ================================================================================================
    Thanks,
    Jyothirmayi.

  • JDBC to Mail Scenario

    Hi SDNers,
I am currently facing a scenario where I need to select records from a database table and then convert the resultset to CSV file (FIle which can be opened using MS Excel), this CSV file needs to be sent in a mail as an attachment.
Kindly guide me on how to achive this.
Is BPM required for this scenario?
    Regards,
    Gautam Purohit

No BPM is required to do XML-----> Excel file conversion (since you are using Mail receiver).
The only thing that you need to take care is that you populate the Content_Type node of the receiver Mail.xsd with the proper value to convert the file into Excel..
Check this blog it will help solve your problem:

  • Need Integration Process to the scenario

    Hi All,

    2. So please tell me when the BPM will come to the picture?
    Thanks,

  • Multi mapping in proxy

    Hi all,
I am Trying to do file to RFC Scenario where i have to post multiple invoices in a single bapi. I am using proxy in my scenario In such case can i do multi mapping and post the data to R/3 could you please suggest.
    Thanks in advance,
    Kalam.

I am using proxy in my scenario In such case can i do multi mapping and post the data to R/3
You have to use BPM for this because ABAP proxy uses the abap stack and multimapping without BPM requires java stack.
    Regards,
    Prateek

  • ABAP proxy to HTTP sycnchronous scenario.

    Hi All,
I have an ABAP proxy to HTTP syncronous scenario in which the proxy through PI makes an HTTP request to a third party to download a PDF.Once the PDF is sucessfully downloaded we need to send an acknowledgement to ECC system that the download was sucessful and also place the PFD file in an FTP server as well.
Looking forward for any possible ways that the above scenario could be achived in once interface. We are open to use ccBPM to achive this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Bhanu.

    Hi Bhanu,
if this is a sync request to a HTTP receiver (to initiate with the request a PDF upload) you will expect to get a response back to the Proxy sender.
So following the described implementation the response will provide the information about un/successfull PDF load
from the http receiver (so this partner has to provide a response in a sync connect!!!).
If you need the PDF to be moved back to a location near to the proxy sender additionally to the response message the receiver of the proxy trigger has to return both in the sync response but the proxy is not able to receive an attachment.
And... as I know HTTP adapter does not allow to handle attachment. This is only possible with SOAP !
So in such a case the PDF needs to be provided with another adapter (which would allow to use a sync connect Proxy-> HTTP and another one async from the PDF loader via file adapter (file -> file). So this will not require a BPM too!
    a) Proxy-> PI -> HTTP (sync)
    b) FTP -> PI  -> FTP (async)
    Result: No BPM required!
    Regards
    Dirk

  • RFC (Sync) - File (async) always via s/a Bridge?

    Hi,
maybe a silly question, but do I always have to use the s/a Bridge when I have a sync. RFC sender and a async receiver? Is there another possibility without bpm (well using a async RFC of course)?
    Thank you
    Thomas

    Hey Thomas..
well the concept of BPM comes, only when u have a syn/asyn communication...
when u say a RFC, which is a async, u need to have a BPM as the file is an Async.
also, if u just want to put the data in R3(say), then u have the scenario FTP to IDOC , wherin u dont get any response and no BPM required...
hope it clears some of ur doubt on BPM...
    regards..

  • Synchronous  JDBC Receiver Adapter

    Hi,
My requirement is JDBC--- XI --- JDBC (Sync) — JDBC.
Let me be more precise about the above scenario.
JDBC sender picks up a record from DB1 and sends to DB2 and gets a response from DB2 and send the response to DB3.
I am sure this can be handled only through BPM.
But my question will a JDBC Receiver adapter gets a response back to XI. If this is possible , can some one tell me how can I achieve it.
    Thanks
    Shaik

<i>I am sure this can be handled only through BPM. </i>

  • IDoc - IDoc Mapping part

    Dear friends,
I have one scenario as below:
Sender system:  Will have MATMAS05 IDoc structure with many segments.
Receiver Systems: There will be say 4 R/3 receiver systems.
The IDoc segments should be distributed to some (all R/3 Receiver system)
i.e  Based on plant and Logical system some segments of the IDoc MATMAS04 from sndr system should move to particular receiver R/3 system and like wise  some other segments to another Rcvr R/3 System and so on.
Could you please help me in this regard how to start with this..
Is BPM required for this scenario..?
If so then is BPM able to call the Table name which resides in the ABAP stack..?
then how to proceed for this ..?
Eagerly waiting for you valuable solutions/approach
    Thank you

    Hi Friend,
    The Source structure MATMAS04.
I think we need target structure :Many MATMAS04 IDocs is required because some segments of the IDoc MATMAS04 from source system should move to particular receiver R/3 system and like wise some other segments to another Rcvr R/3 System and so on.
Can I go for Duplication subtree in the target or shall I have to go to message tab in the mapping editor andf enter the IDoc of required numbers...? so that I can have multiple say 4 IDoc structure( if receiver is four).
Please tell me how to distribute  the source IDoc particular segment to particula receiver based on plant num and logical system details in ABAP stack.
If I map  the control record EDIDC_40- RCVPOR of the target structure to the receiver (in the Constant standard function)  will it work..?
    Points will be awarded...
    regards
