BPM task not appearing in universal worklist

Hello All.
We have installted NWCE 7.2 for a developing a pilot . We have created a sample BPM application and build and deployed it.
For some reason the BPM task (first activity in our process model)  is not appearing in the UWL
We have ensured that UWL is configured properly and SAP_LocalSystem BPEMUWLConnector is configured and running successfully.
After deploying the process model, we have started the process following the NWA, Configuration Mgmt , Processes and tasks , Start the process .
In the manage Processes: Process Instance the status is showing In Progress and Show Process flow shows the first process is active.
Note: The process is not trying to connect to any backend applictaion for timebeing, Administrator has full previliege on the Pool, Lane and Human activity / task
If any one has encountered similiar problem with NWCE7.2 Sp1 please help us how to go about and overcome this issue.
We have to demo the smaple this week so any help would be highly appreciated
thanks
Mukhuti

Hi,
Check the task owner in Nwa > Operation Management > Processes and Tasks > Mange Tasks. If you are able to locate the task then make sure that the user has been assigned the BPEM END user role.
Hope this helps!!

  • New tasks not displayed in Universal WorkList

    Hi,
I am able to see the leaves request till last weekend, after that suddenly my open tasks list is empty while I am still getting mails from the backend asking me to approve the leaves applied. But I am not able to do that as I am not able to see on the portal open task list.
    Kindly help.
    Thanks,
    Shruti

    Hi all,
This thread is similar to the issue I'm having so I wanted to share the issue I'm having.
We have a strange issue where leave requests are not appearing in the UWL for a specific manager. We have checked with other managers and the leaves are appearing in their UWLs and they are able to process their employee's leaves without any issue.
For the manager not seeing the leave in their UWL, I have confirmed the following:
    1) Proper manager defaults in 'approver' field in ESS and employee is able to send leave request without issue
    2) Manager receives email to process employees leave request after RPTARQEMAIL program runs
    3) Leave is reaching the manager's business workplace in R/3 so this verifies workflow is working and the leave is being directed to proper manager for approval
    4) Proper roles have been assigned to manager and verified in PRD
*Also, the leaves were appearing in the manager's UWL at one point but no longer appearing. This makes it more confusing!
Does anyone have any suggestions/ideas as to what may have happened?
Any feedback would be greatly appreicated!
    Regards,
    Brian

  • Request not appearing in QA Worklist

    Hi,
We have a 3 system landscape and the QA approval procedure is configured. Any transport request that is created and released in the DEV box is automatically trnapsorted to the QA (batch program) and then gets appended to the QA worklist for the approval to be transported tot he PRD system.
We have a typical situation here - we got a transport request from a third party, we added that in the DEV queue and imported it there, then we forwarded the request to the QA box and it was imported by the regular batch program. But it does not appear in the QA worklist.
Can anyone help - how to get this in the QA worklist or is it that the 3rd party request cannot be added to the QA worlist.
    Regards,
    Hasnain

Hi Ahmed, It seems that you have resolved the issue. If you did can i have a small clarification since am facing the same problem.
We have 3 system landscape and when the request is released from DEV system it does not appear in QA worklist, for which we need to manually import the request without approval from QA and the same exists in QUA system QA worklist once imported.
Do you know why the request is not displayed in DEV system for QA once released. Though we have batchjob running every 5 mins to import the TR we are manually importing the same since it doesnot appear in import queue of QUA as they were not approved my DEV QA worklist.
But in your case that was 3rd party request which is not appearing in QA worklist.
I hope everything will be fixed once the QA worklist for DEV is fixed.
    Can you help me out..?
    Thanks in advance...

  • How to call / execute BPM process out of portal (Universal Worklist)

    Hi,
at the moment I try to get fimilar in working with bpm processes. In this regard, I try to execute a process outside the portal.
I always have to login at the portal, go to the Universal Worklist, refresh the list and execute the previously started process. But in future that would NOT be the prefered way for the user.
    May anybody help me?
    Thank you.

    Hi Martin,
what do you mean exactly? Do you want to start the workflow without using the portal or do you want to start the different human activities outside the portal?
If you mean the first one, you can use a webservice to start the process (see Re: Starting a flow through a web service). As such you can start the process from pretty much everything with webaccess.
For the second one I dont have an answer... You can probably use a different application and check if there are any new tasks via webservice... but thats just a guess

  • BPM task not coming in inbox

    Dear Experts,
This regarding the UWL issue which we are facing in our landscape.
We have an EP 7.01 SP11 system by which users access the BPM task and CE 7.2 SP06 system
Where the BPM workflow is created.
SSO is configured properly between these two systems where both  systems UME is pointing
to the same LDAP. System configurations and UWL configurations are done properly ,in fact the
tasks where coming properly in the inbox before.
But all of sudden without any changes its not working now . we are not able to find the root cause
    of it.
Kindly help us to resolve this issue and let us know if you need more inputs.
    Many thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Parthibaraja

    Dear Parthibaraja
I hope you are well and many thanks for using the SAP Discussion Forums .
In relation to the issue you described you mentioned:
We have an EP 7.01 SP11 system by which users access the BPM task and CE 7.2 SP06 system Where the BPM workflow is created.
SSO is configured properly between these two systems where both  systems UME is pointing to the same LDAP. System configurations and UWL configurations are done properly ,in fact the tasks where coming properly in the inbox before.
Now although you mentioned the configurations are setup accordingly. I would like you to kindly review the UWL Destination Service Configuration as the smallest discrepancy maintained can cause unpredictable and unexpected behaviour.
SAP Note: Note 1133821 - UWL Destination Service configuration
When you followed and implemented SAP Note 1133821 - UWL Destination Service Configuration we need to make sure that connector names and also destination names match exactly (Case Sensitive).
Example: I mean if your portal system alias (=UWL connector name) is for example XYZCLNT100, then the rfc destination name should be exactly XYZCLNT100$WebFlowConnector.
After checking this and if you make any configuration changes
    Clear the UWL Cache
Restart the UWL Service (during a period of downtime/low usage levels)
Now in terms of the UWL and BPM tasks there are some important points to highlight which are covered in the following documentation link:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/de/4a/ee9c7488946d62e10000000a
    42189c/frameset.htm
I have come across similar scenarios in the past which have been resolved after consulting the following SAP Note Documentation:
SAP Note: 1585226 - BPM UWL Connector Failure
Kindly Check whether the proxy settings are done correctly and http.nonProxyHosts has proper entries as explained in the note 1507174. (Proxy settings for the J2EE engine). You NEED to have SSO configured as in a case with 730, absolutely no user mapping should be used on webflowconnectors.
Kindly update me as per your findings.
I greatly appreciate your time and patience and I look forward to recieving your reply.
Kind Regards & All The Best

  • Notification Tasks not appearing in IW22 but appears in IQS12 transaction

    Hi All,
When I try to close the Notification then I am getting the error message u201CTasks are not completedu201D. Even in system status, I got the status there is u201COutstanding tasksu201D. But when I looked for Tasks in Notification, I can not find any tasks in Header or Item Level. In fact there is no TASK Tab at Header or Item Level.
When I checked in QMSM Table, I found entries for that Notification. I came to know about one standard SAP transaction IQS12, where we can process (i.e. Release and / or Complete) the task of Notification. In IQS12 transaction, I found outstanding tasks for that Notification.
I need following clarification, kindly let me know:
    - Why the Tasks are not appearing in IW22 transaction but appearing in IQS12 transaction?
    - When we can use the IQS12 transaction / purpose of IQS12 transaction?
    Regards
    Ramu

    Hi Pete,
    Thanks for the reply!!
For our business requirement, we don't want the task tab for Notification type. Hence we have not configured the task tab.
I found the reason, even we don't have the task tab also we can assign the tasks to Notification by following menu path in IW22 TC: Edit > Tasks > Determine.
This path is only activated, when we made the configuration in Define Response Monitoring > Response Time Monitoring for Notification Type. Here we are assigning the Response Profile to Notification type. In Response Profile, we define the Task Code based Priority.
I hope in this case (i.e. where task tab not defined for Notification), we can use the IQS12 transaction to release and close task. Please let me know, if my understanding is wrong....

Hi, We have GP WD java application which is running CE 7.31 sp05. Some of the GP task is not appearing in UWL . What might be case, please suggest.

    Hi Jigar,
As Mentioned in the previous posts re register the system and also clear the cache, once done check whether the task items are there in the UWL config or not.
If this doesn't solve update the problem after you do that.

  • DB13 scheduled tasks not appear

    Hi people,
I´ve connected an external Oracle databases, and I´ve scheduled some maintenance tasks.
During on time, the finished and scheduled tasks appears in the DB13, but I´ve seen that the scheduled tasks off external databases not appear, but the time if scheduled tasks has passed, the tasks it´s correctly finished and appears.
The problem is that the scheduled tasks cannot edit them, because not appears in the calendar, only when they´ve finished.
    What can i do?

    >> Regarding Note 6 in Note1025707, this is for if both systems are on the same server, for example, a server has AS ABAP CEN with DBA Cockpit and has AS Java JAV. Is this your situation? The Oracle DB for the separate AS Java would still be considered "remote" in this case. I do not have experience with this situation.
For the instance, if the installation is a SAP Portal system, it is evaluated by a remote database, when you are attached it to a central monitoring system. For example you have two or more SAP installations even on a same physical host attached to the central monitoring system, those systems are evaluated as remote systems. This is because central monitoring system should be connected to these systems by remote.
I hope that I clarified the issue.

In addition, i see the following error during deployment. Is this the reason for the problem ? If yes how to solve it.. any help will be appreciated...

SOA server installation and/or configuration seems to be the problem. I deployed the same compostie in a different "working" soa-server and it seems to work. But why the soa_server is bad is important to determine. Any suggestions welcome...

  • BPM task not getting created

I have modelled a BPM process and attached Webdynpro UI's to its human activities.
I am able to start the process from the Process Repository, but the tasks are not getting visible in the Uniiversal Worklist of the Task Principle Owner.
When I'm logging on with administrator id, and going to Manage Processes screen, I'm seeing the active task correctly highlighted.
Also, when I'm logging on with administrator id, and going to Manage Tasks screen, I'm not seeing any tasks being created.
    What may be the problem?

There was a problem with setting the Locale in the BPM configuration wizard. After fixing it, the first human activity is getting created and task is assigned. When I'm completing the first human activity and submitting the form, task is not getting assigned to the user/principle owner of the second human activity.
When I open Manage Process, and see the history, I see the process status as Suspended and the following log:
15-Jun-2010 15:57:49 Task completed Task completed by BPEMUser, Operator Human interaction

  • BPM Task not listed in UWL

    Hi Experts,
I have initiated the BPM Process through NWA. Task is not listed in the UWL but the mail is getting generated.
UWL is configured to Provider System. UWL also receiving task from other BPM workflow.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Best Regards,
    Arun

    Hi Arun,
Assign a Potential owner to the task and check for the following roles to proceed with BPM Process.
    pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/every_user/com.sap.bpem/com.sap.bpem.roles/com.sap.bpem.Enduser,
    To Trigger Your Process:SAP_BPM_TRIGGER_EVENT.
    While Assign Potential Owners,
    Pool is the first Priority,
    Lane is Second Prioriy,
    Activity is Last Priority.
Eg: If u Assign a one Potential owner for Pool and another owner for Lane. It will take Pool owner as the major one.

  • SWFVISU task not appearing in any of the UWL Config files

    Hello Workflow/Portal gurus, gotta question...
Scenario: I want custom workflow single-step tasks used in perf. mgmt. workflows to launch BSP application.
My understanding is that when you maintain link between workflow task and BSP application in SWFVISU followed by 'Register item types for all systems' in UWL and clearing Cache, UWL config file should be updated to include the task maintained in SWFVISU with appropriate launching parameters. I have used this successfully in the past with Wedbdynpro applications.
In my portal system, a new custom task that I maintain in SWFVISU is not even appearing in any of the UWL config file. when we use 'Register item types for all systems' option in UWL followed by clearing Cache, one of the config file does successfully get updated (we see success message and update date and time) but custom task is missing from the config.
Also, when I manually try to configure custom task and launching applications using one of the UWL wizard it gives error symbol with no messages. UWL behaves strange (Auth is not an issue) and couple of things we checked per UWL/Portal config docs seems to be in order.
Any pointers what we could be missing? Is there anything else other than adding task in SWFVISU followed by 'Register item types for all systems' in UWL and clearing Cache that needs to be done?
    Appreciate your help,
    Saurabh

    Hi,
i had the same problem that all entries form SWFVISU could not be displayed in the XML config file.
The solution is very simple since SP 18 of NW portal: you need to configure a RFC destination in the Visual Admin (see Note 1133821).
Though if you are not using Delta Pull you have to create this destination to register the UWL.
    I hope this helps.

    Marc

  • SHC not appearing in Buyeru2019s worklist

    Hi SRM Gurus,,
In SRM Web, after the creation and apporval of shopping cart, the buyer checked the items in carry out sourcing (professional purchaser- Sourcing- carry out sourcing). In find tab, seacrh using extended seacrh and then filling out the shopping cart number. The items should show under requirements, but in  our case the system did not behave normally as expected because only one of the three items appeared.
I have checked the items using transaction code: BBP_PD then in the table, the sourcing status is "Y" and not "X". Wherein "X" is the ideal status before doing sourcing.
    Please need your help.
    Thanks!!

    Hi Hein
NMK could be right. since purchaser might have clicked one right tick mark( it means real completed of sc). it means complete. it will be no longer in soco. sc is dead now. Thanks NMK for the clue .
he would have pressed a tick mark before he added into work area .
*SAP Note 1068497 -BBPSC04: Incorrect status for items completed in sourcingYou create a shopping cart which is sent to sourcing cockpit. You create a*follow-on document. For eg: Bid invitation. You delete the same and
complete the item in sourcing. The status of the item in check status is
shown as 'Approved' instead of 'Cannot be ordered'.
    copied from sdn thread.
    X     Sourcing-Relevant
    Y     Sourcing Completed
A     Relevant for Automatic Grouping of POs
D     Relevant for Automatic Grouping of RFQs
N     Relevant for RFQ from Shopping Cart
M     Relevant for RFQ from SOCO
    T     Temporary: Not Sourcing-Relevant
an X-item can be seen in the Sourcing Cockpit, you need to process this requirement from here.
Y means, the sourcing process is closed (can be forced with the button 'Complete item' in the SoCo).
You will see no more this item in the sourcing cockpit.
A - items cannot be seen in the sourcing cockpit. This must have already a vendor. The report BBP_SC_TRANSFER_GROUPED will do the automatic grouping and create the follow-on purchase order
