BPM: warning from MTE's

Hello!
I am establishing Business Process Monitoring functionality.
When I activate the monitoring I get a lot of warning
"Could not change MTE
customizing code 2
(MTE: <SID>\Dialog...\DBRequestTime)"
<b>How critical are these warnings and how to avoid them?</b>

How do I call a method in BPM object from JSF page? Is it possible to invoke it in a manner similar to invoking a method from managed bean in JSF application?

You can use f:invoke (or f:invokea to with parameters)
For ajax calls, you can use f:invokeUrl to get the URL to a particular method within your BPM object, although make sure the Server-Side Method property is set to Yes.

Incorrect Low Disk Space Warning from HP Support Assistant

I have an HP Envy m7 notebook. I am getting a warning from the HP Support Assistant that the Primary Drive C: has low disk space. However, my Windows 8.1 Properties box for the C: drive says more that 90% of the drive is free, as I guessed. Why am I getting this seemingly incorrect warning?

Thank you for your query, I will do my best to assist you.
I understand the HP support assistant is giving you a low disk space error, but you have plenty of free space available.
Did the error pertain to a different drive letter other then you main drive?
I suggest you uninstall and reinstall the The HP Support Assistant. If you have an older versions installed that may be why you are getting a false error.
Please let me know the outcome.

How to trigger BPM Process from SRM Portal

Hello Experts,
I'am new to BPM and NWDS 7.3 but experienced with Abap and NWDS 7.0 Development...
Before posting, i have been through the forum and couldn't find exact answer to my case..
Basicly what i need to do is to trigger BPM Processes on the BPM Server from SRM Portal Server, I'm aware that i can communicate between these servers with WSDL basicly but how am i going to call the BPM Process' Web Service from Standart SRM Processes?
These processes will be standart ones mostly and also i am new to SRM.

SAP SRM 7.0 user interface is developed in WebDynpro and runs on NetWeaver Portal (Portal was optional component in earlier versions of SRM but it is mandatory component now). So in order to call BPM Webservice (i.e., to trigger a BPM Process) from NetWeaver Portal / SRM 7.0 you can do the following
- Develop a custom application (using EJBs,etc) to call the BPM web service by creating a web service proxy client using NWDS and then deploying it on Portal Server.
- Directly create a model in WebDynpro project by using the WSDL of BPM trigger webservice (using NWDS). You can then call the model in WD User Interface, which in turn will invoke the BPM web service and start the process.

Start BPM process from ABAP report. Need some investigations.

I have to start a BPM process from ABAP report. I found an article http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/10d75b45-7fef-2b10-bc8e-c6012e0a9457?QuickLink=index&overridelayout=true and have done everything it describes but the process doesn't start.
What I've done:
1) Created a service proxy in SE80.
2) Created a logical port in SOAMANAGER.
3) Write a code to start a WebService in ABAP Report.
But when I start a program nothing happens, no errors.
What analysis I did:
1) See logs and traces in SOAMANAGER - there is nothing appears after I start the report.
2) Tried to test connection to my WebService in SM59 - the connection works, but it use a POST method instead of GET:
Error: com.sap.engine.services.webservices.espbase.server.additions.wsa.WSAddressingException: com.sap.SOA.wsr.030104 - Expected request method POST. Found GET.
But I think it is OK and from the report it use a right method.
3) Tried to delete a logical port - the error of communication problem appears. So it means that all settings are right.
4) No logs in NWA logs
My thoughts - if there is not any errors and no result, it can be because the user authorization. E.g. it tried to start a process by a user who doesn't have SAP_BPM_SuperAdmin role. But I can't find a way how to check what really happens. So I want to ask for a help, colleagues:).

BPM -- Reprocessing from failed point.

Hi Friends,
I am developing a BPM of 3 send steps. 1st will retrieve the records from a table(using JDBC adapter) and second send step inserts the same records into another table(different system). when insert is done, status is updated into 1st system(by 3rd send step).
Now my business requirement is, If any error occurs(any exceptions) and I do Reprocess the message, BPM should start from the same point. (to avoid 2 times select and insert).
This weblog gives the idea to put steps 2 times but I dont think I can do it because I have to put other logic also.

Hi Sandeep,
To make the BPM start from the point it failed you have to go with the approach mentioned in the above Blog.
We did the same approach and working fine for us.

I have read the latest issue of MacWorld, there is a short artcle about a warning from Pay Pal to "Steer Clear of Safari". Pay Pal "Chief information security officer", says, that "Safari has no built in Phishing filter to warn users when they are visiting suspicious web sites" he also says "a 2nd problem that safari has is it lacks support for another antiphishing Technology, called an Extended Validation Certificate."
I would like to send this little info. out to someone that can either take this info out to someone that knows a apple Developer that can maybe do some adjusting to Safari so that the Safari web browser can be safer for the visitor, or maybe someone can refer me or direct me to a apple developer so that I can pass this info over to them and and suggest that they make some adjustment to Safari so that it is a safer Browser.
Has anyone seen or read that little artcle in the " News in Brief" side bar?
I am just trying to Help Safari and its developers to try to improve their web Browser so it can be safer for us users.

This was not a Firefox update, but a piece of malicious software you have inadvertently downloaded from a site called http://ffftp.co.cc/ which is impersonating Firefox. I discovered this as soon as my Zonealarm requested permission for "Golds" to access the internet. Golds??!! However I couldn't find a file with this name installed on my computer.
You should delete the file you downloaded and certainly do not allow internet access to any suspicious program. If you have already given permission, scan your PC immediately for any virus, malware, etc. Best of luck.

How to carry out an action on a task in a bpm process from another adf app?

Hi everyone,
We have a simple BPM process with only one human task with two actions: approve and reject.
We want to know if it is possible to approve or reject this task from another adf application; I mean by clicking a button on a different page - not using the Actions menu in workspace, can I change the status of the task to approved or rejected and remove the task from the workspace of the assignee?

I think you can use ItemAdding event to update your fields. This works better for you instead of ItemAdded event.

i need to match above BPM method and <f:invokeUrl > tag. am i right?
But i don't know how to create method with argument "Fuego.Net.HttpRequest request, Fuego.Net.HttpResponse response" inside BPM Object.
I can't find any place to define method argument inside Oracle BPM studio.
I don't know how to parse argument like "Fuego.Net.HttpRequest request, Fuego.Net.HttpResponse response"

BPM Correlation from Dynamic Configuration not being filled

Hey guys,
I'm having the following problem with BPM correlation.
In my correlation definition, I have 2 fields: one which is filled with information from the message payload, and another one which is filled with a context object (which was created with adapter metadata and filled with dynamic configuration, as refered here: /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2006/10/09/xi-dynamic-configuration-in-adapter-modules--one-step-further).
All instances of BPM are with error status. And when I go into the workflow log for these processes, if I check the correlation object, it is like this:

Field1 is the one read from context object, and is not being filled (thus I think the error comes from here). Field2 is from payload and is being normally filled.

Maybe the problem is not from the correlation. If not, what else could be the case? The BPM crashes on the very first step (one more reason to think that the correlation is the issue).

In general Correlation , concept, whatever we configured in Correlation editor , i mean in runtime which xml element should filled with which element of which interface ..as you said you have configured the local correlation to block, in block it is the first receive step, while receiving the first message which is relevent to first recieve step , i mean if it receives the one message which is related to first receive step inteface .. the respective element data will be filled in correlation id and it will assign on giud for processing , so while assign the runtime data to correlation element ( imean filling stage) check you said two elements in correlation does the first message contains these two elements ??
if so ok , no then check , and try to use the IM before calling the IP to fill the payload.
