BPM Workspace Login problem
I'm having a weird issue.
I just can't login anymore to bpm workspace with weblogic user, I can login just fine on the console and on the enterprise manager, but can't login on workspace nor on process composer.
Any ideas?
Oh well...
It seems there's a bug with the XE Database... Sometimes it freezes some components and the SOA Plataform goes crazy.
Simple system reboot solved.

Bpm workspace redirection problem
hi, i did a change in the Soa Suite Server to make able to Ip Address and not for the dns alias.
My problem happen when try to launch any application from bpm workspace. the launcher still pointing to localhost in human task.
any ideas?Oh well...

After logging in the page looks blank, does not show up any info in the page.

When Searched in Oracle Support Here is the information that they specified. But This is also not working.
Service error.
Internal Error; Service error occurs in IdentityService in method lookupUser.
Refer to the log file that is configured for oracle.soa.services.identity for more details on this error and contact Oracle Support Services
at oracle.bpel.services.identity.client.AbstractIdentityServiceClient.lookupUser(AbstractIdentityServiceClient.java:195)Cannot log in to workspace( BPM 11g).
Fix
One of the reasons this issue might happen is when the application (in this case the Workspace) was not able to connect to the Identity services.
And the cause of bug was network configuration issues which prevented connection to IdentityService SOAP endpoint using the configured server hostname.
So to overcome this issue, set the ServerURL property in the soa-infra config mBean to http://127.0.0.1
This should resolve the issue.
An alternative option is to use any other valid server IP address / port.
In future the bug fix will have log messages which will post warnings in the logs if the host name used in the URL is not resolved.
How to set the MBean:
1. Login to the em console
2. Right click on soa-infra
3. Goto Administration ->SystemMBean Browser
4. Goto Application Defined MBeans
5. Find Oracle.as.soainfra.config ->Expand "Server: <your server name>"
6. Goto SoaInfraConfig -> click on soa-infra
7. Find the Property ServerURL, enter value as http://127.0.0.1
8. Click on Apply

Can't see the deployed BPM application in BPM Workspace

I've created a BPM application, deployed it succesfully ( the message was 'deployment finished' ) and now I want to launch it.
I can login in BPM workspace, but in my Inbox I don't see any active application.
I read about adding 'weblogic' to BPMWorkspaceAdmin role.
I don't have the BPMWorkspaceAdmin role.
I added 'weblogic' to BPMWorkflowAdmin.
What else to do ?

I just figured out the solution to my problem. Actually, that doesn't seem to be related to PS6. A collegue told me that something similar also was an issue in previous jDeveloper releases. The problem is that jDev is not able to save the new name if you renamed the default process role "Role" to something else, eg. "Requester". The solution is to add a new role and just delete the default process role called "Role".
To check this, go to the Organizsation preferences of your project in jDev (jDev > BPM Project Navigator > <YourProject> > Organization > Roles) and compare the process roles to the process roles of the deployed project in the BPM Workspace (in your browser, open <yourURL>:7001/bpm/workspace > Login as administrator (usually user "weblogic" + password "welcome1") > Administration on the upper right > Organization > Roles)
You might find the role "<YourProject>.Role" there which you thought have renamed in jDev earlier.

We need to develop a new Single Sign On security provider to automatically authenticate Oracle BPM Workspace application.
Following some samples and tips from Oracle Forum, blogs[1], OTN Samples[2], and also the documentation[3] we build a new Assertion Provider.
We created a new MBean type, implemented the classes AuthenticationProvider, IdentityAsserter, and installed it at MBeanTypes folder at Weblogic Server.
The new Assertion Provider appears at realm providers and was configured without errors.
In this first test we develop a very simple authentication, just decoding the username from the new token and trusting it.
But when we try to call the BPM Workspace passing the new token in the http headers, seems nothing happend: the BPM Workspace login page it is opened and there isn't any message in the log indicating that the new provider has been used.
In fact we need to develop a SSO that receive the token at URL (not in the http headers) run a specific library to decrypt the token, check the token validity and proceed with the authentication. But at now we haven't even a simple sample working ...
Is it possible to have SSO at Oracle BPM Workspace only configuring a provider at Weblogic realm or we need to config/hack something at BPM Workspace application?
BPM Workspace web.xml it is already configured by default with these options:

Is there an Audit provider configured, which collects and stores the security logs.

Can someone please guide me to documentation with examples of where I can find integration steps of BPM Workspace with Jasper for reporting purposes? I tried googling on the same but could not find anything in particular.

Can't login BPM workspace - Internal error in Verification Service
I've gone through "Building Your First Process with Oracle BPM 11g" in JDeveloper and was able to deploy "Hello World" successfully. My problem is that when I tried to sign in bpm workspace, I get "Invalid username and password" error. This is what I found in the soa log,

I can't sign in workspace with anyone - weblogic, jcooper, etc. For weblogic user, I don't have any problem of login other applications. I find jcooper and bpm access in system-jazn-data.xml under $DOMAIN_HOME/config/fmwconfig directory.
I'm running out of options to try. PLEASE HELP!!!!

installed demo community users and it is installed in linux server.
Currently we are using "DefaultAuthenticator - WebLogic Authentication Provider" that has a sufficient in the control flag.Well, I'm not total sure on whether we are using LDAP or not since I'm a new to weblogic. Perhaps you can tell me. We installed webLogic 10.3.4. My understanding is that this has embedded LDAP. All I did was to install demo users and groups. So currently we have defaultAuthenticator under myrealm. so are we using LDAP in this case?
What's the exact path of Admin server?

I guess you are getting this error in Linux Env and not Windows. Basically SOA/BPM opens lots of files (JARs and WARs) and I guess it do not close them properly. The root cause for your error is something else. Here is the fix. This should work.
Login into the linux machine with the root user privileges. Or ask the person who have root privileges to do this. Basically you have to increase the open file limits to much bigger number like 8192.
To change the open file limits, login as root and edit the /etc/security/limits.conf file. If the following lines are already there, just change the number to 8192. Otherwise add below 2 lines exactly. Means for all the users on this OS, the nofiles is set to 8192, instead of single user.
* hard nofile 8192
* soft nofile 8192
after this, make sure to RESTART the Linux box. Otherwise changes will not get reflected.
Login into unix box from any client and run this command and it should return 8192
ulimit -n
Then start the soa server and you should be all set. Let me know if this fixes your issue (I am hoping it should).

I managed to fix this on my own as I started looking at the BPEL side of things and started getting errors deploying services to the SOA Server due to too many files being open.
To fix this I bumped up my open files max from 1024 to 4096.
I also added some extra Java properties to my setDomainEnv.sh to get rid of the following start up message...

It takes over 1min before i login the workspace , what should i do r to make it faster?
thanksI noticed this happening on our installation after a reboot of our servers. If I recall correctly, one of the services "Workspace - Agent Service" or something similar was set to manual and was not running. After turning it on, workspace login breezed through. I've since set the service to automatic and have not faced the problem since. Could you check to see if this was the case?
Similarly, whenever one of the ancillary services such as Reporting or Planning crashes, I face this issue and I know that one of the dependency services is down.

Unable to login to BPM workspace

I am not able to login into BPM workspace with anyother user other then weblogic. I have created a seperate user in weblogic with ADMIN access, but still I am not able to login to workspace. Can anyone hlep me please

Issue is resolved, Its the issue with user, After 12.1.3 instllation I am trying to login to bpm workspace with jcooper user, then I found that jcooper user is not present in weblogic embedded LDAP, So I have created it manually , and tried to login to bpm workspace with jcooper, still It did not allowed me to login tp BPM workspace. If I created a different user, it works
The isssue is that in 12.1.3. we have to deploy demoCommunitySeed ("https://java.net/projects/oraclesoasuite11g/downloads/directory/HumanWorkflow workflow-001-DemoCommunitySeedApp").

tnx,Well, I'm not total sure on whether we are using LDAP or not since I'm a new to weblogic. Perhaps you can tell me. We installed webLogic 10.3.4. My understanding is that this has embedded LDAP. All I did was to install demo users and groups. So currently we have defaultAuthenticator under myrealm. so are we using LDAP in this case?
What's the exact path of Admin server?
