BPMN (Business Process Modeling Notation) is gaining unprecedented momentum in academia and practice. But what exactly are the factors that drive the acceptance of BPMN? How satisfied are end users of BPMN with the notation? Do user experiences of BPMN models match those of models in common Business Process Analysis tools?
The Business Process Management Research Group at Queensland University of Technology in Australia, an outstanding academic partner of SAP, is undertaking a worldwide survey on the use of BPMN by process modelers to shed light into these questions. Error message when 'submitting' completed survey.

One survey participant got an error message as she was submitting the filled survey online. The message told her to press "back" on her browser and resubmit. She did that and it threw her back onto the first page of the survey... any ideas what is wrong please? And how I can retrieve her survey? (I checked - it did not get uploaded).

I hope its working fine with you, my client is thinking about upgrading their PS from 9.1(PTools 8.50.10) to PS 9.2(PTools 8.53) and I wanted to make sure that TES can still talk to the new PS env with no issues.
Seems i also need to research Informatica as well, as we have WS connection between Infomatica and the PS env. do you have Informatica as well? if so, is everything working as expected.

Analysing forms locally rather than Adobe online

Hello. I need to do a series of community surveys (vox pops) and was planning on creating forms with Adobe and loading them onto iPads (versions 3 & 4). I have a found an app that will allow me to fill in the forms while conducting the vox pops with the community participants. I will also be able to store/email myself with the completed surveys. My question is, can I then analyse and create/export the results locally without uploading the finished surveys online? (it seems that the only way to use the analyse functionality of the program is by uploading to FormsCentral ??). I am conducting the surveys on behalf of my State Government, who have raised privacy concerns about using 3rd party servers. Hence me creating the forms myself and not using one of the billion online survey companies. Many thanks. (FYI, if needed, I am on 2007 or 2008 exchange server and operate 2010 Office on my PC).

If there are privacy concerns with web servers there will be much larger privacy concerns with sending personal data through email, which is as secure as a postcard.
I recommend you use HTML forms which submit through https (not http) to a secure server you control. You can also use PDF forms, but you should establish there is a good reason for the extra complexity.

UCCX Scripting for customer survey

Hello All,
I have below customer survey requirement,
First Script
1) Call fro PSTN , called to toll free number which is land to IVR Port number at UCCX end
2) agent will answer the call.
3)agent will ask customer to submit survey online.
4) agent will transfer the call to trigger (eg. 2033) for customer survey , run the external script.
Second Script
1) Customer will get some prompt and menu option to fill the survey.
Now i am getting challenge to get the agent extension in second script which i wanted to store in database

That's a good point. The Calling Number value from Get Call Contact Info changes from the Agent to the Customer at the point in which the Agent completes the transfer. If you simply played a prompt which informed the Agent when it was ok to complete the transfer, then you will have ample time to grab the Agent DN for your records.

Providing a Survey to Readers

To do the best job on my eBook, I need to enable a reader to take a survey. I seem to have two possibilities:
1. Take that survey online to that it is automatically scored in real time.
2. Create a few pages held in a PDF that they can download print, respond to, score, and graph. Whew!
Can I link to my online survey?
Can they download a PDF?
Can they print out pages from the eBook?

It's all manual, if that's what you're asking.
If your book is engaging, they'll come back to it from Safari. They've already downloaded it, so not sure why the concern, sorry. It's not an uncommon practice to move from one app to another, after all

Hp pavilion x2 10

Bought a hp pavilion x2 10 from harvey norman 2 weeks ago, and facing some issue now.
First would be the charging time, the charging time seems like taking longer than I expected. Left it charge overnight in sleeping mode, around 8-10 hours. The battery is not even fully charged after that, roughly just about 60% charged.......
Did some survey online, found that asus and surface can be fully charged less than 8 hours. Feeling kind of disappointed.
2nd issue, my x2 10 is shut down automatically. 3 times in 2 weeks. After left over night, or back from work, the tablet was shut down, but i never set it to shut down in my setting. After start back, found that there are still battery left, 50%-60%.
Last will be the built quality. Notice that since the 1st day i bought it, the screen is not "staying" within the frame, (refer to the image below), as i was told by the salesman in harvey norman, "it is normal". My first experience with HP product, but not a good one.

Problem with adobe acrobat/reader

Hello,
I am having problems with adobe. I am trying to open an old bamk statment but I keep getting "there is a problem with adobe acrobat/reader. If it is running please exit and start again (103:103)
Or it will say "Adobe reader has encountered a problem and needs to close"
I am using windows xp IE8
In my add/remove programs there is "adobe reader 9.5.3" and below that there is "adobe reader XI (11.0.03)
I tried to repair or patch then restarted my computer but the same problem. I tried to remove them but they won't remove.
PLEASE someone help me.

Yep it works. I think the reason I had the reader 11.0.03 was a few months ago I asked me to click for an upgrade. The one that I had was the one you gave me last year. I don't know how/why it didn't delete the older one, or maybe it was an offer from some other site. I just saw the word upgrade and figured it was suppose to. Funny thing is, The files I was having trouble to see last night, I was able to see them 2 days earlier and it didn't prevent me firm seeing them then, and I hadn't messed with the adobe for a few months. GO FIGURE!!
While your here, do you happen to know of an excellent system tool cleaner I could get from amazon?? I got a desktop from Listia hew/used and before I get my stuff transferred from this one to my new one I want to get something that runs in the background to keep it running smooth, and this laptop I'm using is about 10 years old and getting sluggish. I've tried one or two that I bought online that offer free download then charge to fix it. So I once or twice bought the download clicked the fix, and it shows EVERYTHING is fixed. Then run another scan and there would be more things need fixing so would click fix again, run a third scan and still have more to fix. So I would have to call the place I bought it from to get my money back.
I look on amazon and read peoples reviews but just can't decode which one to get. The ones that sound great are old versions. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg, just something that get old stuff off. There are so many programs on the add/remove but I don't want to take the chance to remove something only to find out I shouldn't have. Do you know what I mean?? All of them on web sites and like on tv claim to be good but are really junk.
I do surveys online to make extra money fixedincome due to sever RA in my back and focus groups online, to things get thick I don't want my computer to get bougged down

Gathering user input on a site

Up until now I've worked with "static html" only including
small amounts of javascript for menu stuff. I want to take a small
step into allowing input from users. The first would be to put a
survey online with one taking text and the other simply radio
button choices.
I see and have read about Forms and can work my way through
that. What else am I going to have to learn about to be able to do
this and what features will my host need to have (I don't think
that will be an issue)? Is there a simple tutorial out there that
doesn't go into the topic too broadly? My learning style is a
little bit at a time.

Unwanted spam ads pop-ups

I have an LG Cosmos 2 with no data plan and no internet access etc. It's just a phone and texting and that's ALL I want. All of a sudden for about a month I am getting pop-up ads and other "On this Day" crap. Is there a way to stop this annoying, unwanted, communication? Besides changing phones and companies? It's annoying enough that I am considering it.

Sounds like "Premium messaging" - reply STOP to the texts, and call to see if there is a $9.99 charge on your bill for premium messaging. Then go online to your MyVerizon account and BLOCK premium messaging services.
How did it happen? You may have taken a survey online, or answered a Facebook question from a friend, or signed up for a ringtone...and the premium message deal was part of the "terms" you agreed to when you did so. It happened to me via Facebook, and I was getting a "joke-a-day" and got charged the premium fee - nipped it right away and blocked premium messaging, and it hasn't happened since.

How can I convert an online survey to a word document?

I built a survey, rather than have the students do it online, I took a screen shot and then ran xerox copies of the survey. Now, I need to convert it to a word document. It downloads into a bunch of nonsensical trash. Is there any way to get it to convert correctly?

Survey result sending online/offline

Hi there.
For our new customer we would like to add a survey at the end of the folio.
Now we are thinking what are the best ways to do this.
Since the folio contains learning material the basic idea is that you don't really need any internet access to read it and neither does the content – there is not much interaction with online media. So you can read and learn while you are not at home, on a plane,…
But then for the survey you need an internet connection to submit it to us. My first idea was to send an E-Mail with the results in the body, so even if you are offline the E-Mail will be saved as a draft and the next time you are connected to the internet it will be sent.
The other way we are thinking about is html5 locate database storage and maybe a hidden field that connects to a site and once it gets an answer it sends the stored database content. This seems to be dependend if the iPad (and all other devices) actually has the ability to offer the local storage at a later point or if this is something the OS has full controll of.
Maybe there is another way to do that… would be great if i can get some input for the best solution.

You would only need connectivity at the point of submission. If it's a very short quiz then I agree, but if it's a long quiz, there's not really a reason to tether the user to only be able to take the survey when an internet connection is available. (However, they would obviously have to have a connection at the point of submission.)
decta, localstorage is pretty self-explanitory. You can use localStorage.setItem & localStorage.getItem to place/get content from LS. That local storage db is accessible from any issue within the app, and accessible from any issue.

If the customer has done such changes an additional process step is necessary during the implementation of SAP maintenance components. This step is called modification adjustment.
With this survey and the related bachelor thesis I'll try to clarify the amount of the modification adjustment including the dependent commercial influence. Additionally I'll try to figure out if additionlly created keep records for modifications have an commercial impact on the modification adjustment.

Online Survey Help

My partner has created an online survey as part of her PHD
studies. Once the user has completed the form using drop downs and
text input, they press a send button and the information is
supposed to be e-mailed to her account. The Send is driven by
Flash, but is does not work at all, and she is terribly stuck with
the issue.
Does anyone out there know of any key problems with doing
this, or can you help at all? DO you need further information as
the methods used to be able to help? I am afraid I don't know much
about it and am just trying to help her out.

Interest in filling out an online survey

Sorry for polling a high traffic area.
I'm attempting to assertain the interest in taking a survey from industry professionals at this forum with the intent to document the responses as part of my final project of my BS in CS.
I haven't written the survey yet, I hope to have it written soon.
I don't have any interest in knowing personal information, it would (hopefully) be about 5 minutes of your time, email it to me, and done. If there is an uncomfort level with email, but still some interest, something else could be worked out, I'm sure.
I personally don't care for survey's, but in this case I would like some feedback from some of the folks here I respect, and which I know, will give me a good indicator of how legitimate my assertions are in my project, and ultimately give my project graders an indication as well.
Unfortunately, my project is not Java specific though it does deal with Java on a small level, I hope this isn't an issue. If it becomes an issue, I will gladly retract my request.

Unless I *really* needed the information badly, no, I
definitely wouldn't
fill out the form. For me - and I think for most people -
it's not a matter
of the few seconds it would take to fill out the form, but a
strong dislike
for having my personal information recorded. (And anyone who
isn't worrying
about this probably should be!)
