BPMon: Table Entry Counter Key Figure

Hi guys.
When using the key figure "Table Entry Counter", if one of the fields in the table is a datestamp, is it possible to set a dynamic date field on this? E.g. would it be possible to only look at the last 2 weeks?

I think you got your answer quite some time ago via OSS message. But in order to benefit the community I also want to provide an answer here. BPMON - Table Entry Counter - time setup

Hi,
In Table Entry Counter monitor there is a possibility to restrict selection by date for example $TODAY or $TODAY-2.
Is there any possibility to do the same with hour, so it looks at the data only from the last hour in the table (table field is in the hh:mm:ss format).
We need to monitor failed faxes of particular type and we created a view that combines relevant tables that we want to monitor. However if the fax failed once, even after resending it succesfully, error stays in the table. Therefore if one fax failed on particular day and has been resent, information about error is still generated and monitor is useless... Any ideas how to restrict that selection and avoiding ABAP coding?

Thanks for reply, I already learned from Johannes Fleig that there is no possibility of setting something like a $TIME parameter (just if anyone else would like this information as well).
What we need (hopefully also other customers) is to monitor status of sent faxes (not NAST).
Those faxes need to have specific Subject (Doc. Title) for example "PO:123456789", we also send other documents via fax, but their failure is not of high importance to the business, therefore we can't use standard CCMS monitor as it counts all the failed transmissions.
So far we created a view with two tables: SOST and SOOD to have information both about status and doc title, so our BPMON monitor is selecting entries from this view with Doc Title - "PO:*" in status "E" (error) from $TODAY. That gives all the failed purchase orders from current day.
The problem is that even resent fax stores the information in SOST about the error (probably for logging sake) and this way even after successful resent, alert is still there until midnight. That's why I asked for a possibility of time limit, to create some kind of primitive delta monitoring.

Counter Key Figure

I have created a counter key figure for my Cube and assigned constant 1 in the transformations.
The thing is I am seeing Key figure value =2 in cube and not = 1 for each row .
I checked the PSA and I see that 2 rows of each set of unique data . So I am not able to figure out why there are 2 rows for each unique data with only different Datarecord number.
and How to define the counter Key Figure.

Hi,
It sounds like you defined your counter correctly, but it also sounds like you are getting doubled data coming in. Look at your source and figure out why you are getting doubled data.
On the converse, you can go into your query and create a global calculated key figure on the counter variable. After you do this, in the properties section of the calculated key figure ... choose the enhance button at the bottom and choose summation for aggregation and exception aggregation of Count all values <> 0 for a characteristic that makes sense.

1rowcount & case counter ( key figures)

Hello Experts,
I have an object called 'case counter' in my ODS which is numeric 1 in the key figures category. But I have an extra field called '# of records' shown in my ODS under Key figures list. I think it is SAP defined '1ROWCOUNT'. I am not sure if I need to keep both case counter and # of records becoz both of them give the same result. My concern is we use the case counter in all our cubes and ods's and we are sceptical in not using it in the ODS. But please can you just explain what is best in my situation.

Hi Anjali,
You do not need your counter even if you are loading data from the ODS to cube, because in the update rule of the cube's keyfigure, you can set a constant value of 1.
But there might be a scenario that neither you nor me can think of now that will need the counter. So you might as well keep it

Counting Key Figures above a threshold

HI Experts
I need to count a calculated key figure only when is above a threshold:
DIV | CONTRACT | Calculated CONSUMPT
01     101               40
01     102               30
01     103               50
02     201               20
02     202               40
02     203               10
The output should look somethinhg like
DIV   | BandWithConsumpt | No. of Contracts
01        Greater than 30           2
02        Greater than 30           1
The number of records is huge (>65536) so conditions is not an option as far as I know.

Table Entry Monitoring on Table BKPF

Hello dear SAP Community,
I set up the table entry monitoring in BPM to look for parked documents (Field BSTAT = V) in table BKPF with the corresponding company code using "Number of Counted Entries"
So far everything works fine but I do have a question regarding the Output.
Is there a possibility to change/adapt this upper/lower range settings (RED, if less/equal; YELLOW, if less/equal; Yellow, if more than; RED, if more than)
to simply YELLOW if more than and RED if more than.
Because in my case if there are no selected values this causes a RED Alert but actually this should trigger a green message because it is a desired result.

Just to clarify, if you do not put any values in "RED, if less/equal; YELLOW, if less/equal" that causes an alert in your Table Entry Counter?
I'm using this type of monitor for checking if there are more then 0 entries of some type, for that I am only filling "Red if more than" and all the other fields are empty. This configuration works for me. Could you describe a bit closer what values you typed into "Number of Counted Entries" tab ?

The table name or tcode to count the number of Dimensions and Key Figures

Do you have an idea about the table name or tcode to count the number of Dimensions and Key Figures of an Infocube WITHOUT installing the cube from Business Content?

Hi,
You can't do that because there's no active table in the system for the Business Content since it hasn't been installed yet...
One thing you could do is go to the Business Content Tab, select "Infoproviders by InfoArea" on the left side, look for the Cube or DSO you want to check, right click on it and select "Display Description".
On the window that opens you'll have a list of all InfoObjects and Key Figures. You also have the option to Display it as Start Schema, where you can see the Dimensions, etc.

Table fields used for basic key figures in report writer/report painter

Does anyone know how I can find which table field is actually being used for SAP defined basic key figures in report writer report? For example, HSL is a basic key figure for income statement, library 0F1, report 0F-GUVV. It only shows data is coming from table GLFUNCT. How does the report writer program knows which fields to select? What is the logic behind the basic key figures?
Any advice is appreciated!!

I have now resolved this issue.
I had to manually update TablesT804B and T804F.
I've added entries to T804A in the past without the need to update T804B or T804F manually so it appears that the way these tables work together has changed following an upgrade or application of support packs.

I have a requirment to upload Retail Articles. I am using BAPI_MATERIAL_MAINTAINDATA_RT to create articles for Basic View, Listing View and Sales View.
I got the error:

I figured out that though I was passing the Site under MARC, it wasn't getting transfered to the field. I fixed the code.

Mixing Key Figures and Characteristics in 2004s Table Display

In a 3.x query definition using table display, I could put a key figure in the middle of the characteristics. The results would be columns Char1, Char2, KF1, Char3, for example. The same query upgraded to 2004s insists on displaying the key figure at the end of the characteristics, even with the Query Properties / Data Formatting set to Tabular View (in BEx Analyzer).
Any ideas on how to keep the key figure in the middle of the characteristics?

Key Figure units in Fact Table - Error

All -
When a run a report off of a cube, some row display 0 when there are corresponding values in my cube. The report doesn't agree with LISTCUBE. I have ran transaction RSRV on my cube and tested the "Key figure units in fact tables of Infocube" and I get an error saying that 1380 units are missing from fact table.
Diagnosis
In the fact table /BIC/FEU_FRCTS records have been found that contain values other than zero for key figures that have units, but that have no value for the unit of the key figure. Since the value of the unit has to correspond to the value of the key figure, this inidicates an error when the data was loaded. The values of the units have not been loaded into BW correctly. Choose Details to display the incorrect records.
Does anyone know what this error means? How do I solve this problem?

hi Nyrvole,
as the message said, you have keyfigures with unit but the unit value not filled, click 'detail' as suggested to check which keyfigure(s) involved, that go to rsd2 type in that keyfigure and see which infoobject unit is used, then check transfer/update rules how this unit infoobject mapped, try correct the values and upload again.
there is option 'repair' in rsrv but think in this case it can't fix the error, just try.

Key figure units in fact tables of InfoCube are blank

I run RSRV - Key figure units in fact tables for my cube and found the following error message. I found one SAP note 941895 - RSRV test fails with unknown error, but our system status is SAPKW70020, so this note is not useful to our case. Pls advise!
System message:
The test Unit of key figures in fact tables for InfoCube XXX initial had to be terminated due to an unknown error (RSRV320).

Hi Raja,
Check that in your transformation you have mapped Unit from source system to this key figure. If not then you will have to do the mapping and reload the data. If you are not able to get unit from source system then atleast you will have to assign some constant Unit if possible.

Just goto RSD1 and give Keyfigure and click in where used list Icon, then it will show all obejcts which are used that perticular InfoObejct.

No table entries found for specified key

Hi All,
I have developed a program to upload data from flat file with the help of GUI UPLOAD. It is succesfully updating data in my Z-table.
Whenever I tried to view the content of table for specific field, message shows No table entries found for specified key. However if I add * as a suffix, it shows the data & when I directly Execute table it also displays the data.
I have also cross checked the spaces before or after the specific content, no space found.
Only two fields are creating this issue Individually (one of them is key field)

Key Figure Reference table and fields

I am getting the following error:
/BIC/CSSMMIMI1-/BIC/KFMI_LCHF (specify reference table AND reference field)
I am aware that it is asking me to put a reference table and field for the field in the structure.
However, what I am not sure about is should I do this action from SE11 or is there a program or other method which would be more suitable (this is not business content)?

Thanks for that, the currency type and quantity type are hard coded in the key figure for most of the key figures apart from one, i.e for the quanity I hard code PCS
From RSD2 I just check the repair option is that correct
