BPX - Enablers (what to ask about in the interview for a BPX role)

Following a conversation at TechEd at the SDN Clubhouse <a href="/people/owen.pettiford3/blog/2006/10/18/bpx-150-key-enablers Enablers</a>. It occurred to me that to be a successful BPX sandwiched between the Technology Architects, the business process owners and the Enterprise Architects, you need to have the right enablers in place to help you success.
This include:-
Do the board support the End to End process concept ?
Do KPI's exist to show me when I am achieving success ?
Do Process Owners with teeth exist to help make the changes ?
Do the process owners have a voice on the board ?
I thought I would start this thread to see what other people thought might be good questions to ask when applying for the BPX role

One more thing that I feel might be relevant is the BPX's capability to appreciate the current process as well ? something like :
Could you give me an example where the process was made circuitous due to technology ? - an example would be multiple legacy systems necessitating more user intervention and multiple entries - the BPX being able to appreciate that the company has run with this current process for some time and is stable - might be that it was necessary due to the technology landscape and users have come to live with it and not advising the client that 'rolling out an ESA enabled' web service architecture will solve all your problems - that is not going to convince the client / business owner to throw money at it eading to a huge investment in user training , process re engineering etc etc.

As for the hold switch, that is a problem that exchanging your ipod nano where you bought it from or sending the iPod to apple for service would fix. You would either get a new, fixed, or refurbished iPod. It is your choice as to if you want service or to just live with the hold switch.

You cannot change your Apple ID. You can get a new one if you want, but all of your Apps and media are linked to yoru old Apple ID. And no, Apple won't transfer your old ID purchases to yoru new ID.

If you don't already have a current backup of all data, back up before proceeding. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
Start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select Disk Utility.
In the Disk Utility window, select the icon of the startup volume from the list on the left. It will be nested below another disk icon, usually with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar. When prompted, enter the login password of a user authorized to unlock the volume, or the alternate decryption key that was generated when you activated FileVault.
Then, from the menu bar, select
File ▹ Turn Off Encryption
Enter the password again.
You can then restart as usual, if the system is working. Decryption will be completed in the background. It may take several hours, and during that time performance will be reduced.
If you can't turn off encryption in Disk Utility because the menu item is grayed out, you'll have to erase the volume and then restore the data from a backup. Select the Erase tab, and then select
Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
from the Format menu.
You can then quit to be returned to the main Recovery screen. Follow these instructions if you back up with Time Machine. If you use other backup software, follow its developer's instructions.
Don't erase the volume unless you have at least two complete, independent backups. One is not enough to be safe.

My Apple ID was changed. Yet when I try to update apps I am asked to enter the password for the old IG which will not work and no matter what I do. When I attempt to update apps it still askes for the wrong ID data.

It works fine on my IPad mini, my MAc and in Itunes Store, Yet when I try to update apps on my IPAD 1 I am asked to enter a password for the old ID user name which appears in the pop up window. When It still askes for the wrong ID data. I have uodated it in settings, and I have logged ontht the account to verify that it still works properly and it does. I reboot the IPAD and then attempt to update apps again but it still asked for the Old ID password and still shows the old ID username. The dame thing refuses to recognize my new Apple ID data. This is making my older IPAD unuseable.

For what version of JDeveloper are the viewlets for?

there are viewlets on JDeveloper. Can anybody tell me what version of JDeveloper (ie, where it doesn't say updated for 9.0.3) these viewlets are written for? I have version 9.0.3 on my machine and what is shown in viewlets (I have gone thru the first two viewlets only) is significantly different from what I see using 9.0.3?

They are a mix of 9.0.3 and 9.0.2 although the concepts should work the same for both.

Yes, they will transfer across to the new version of Lr when you install it.

Hold4 Order - Calculation of what is needed and drive the rest for putaway

This is the one requirement I recently got from my user and am finding difficulty in finding the answer to it. Please help me if anyone knows about it. My question is
Plant1 has a sales order demand on the system for 10 pieces.
Plant1 gets the parts from plant2 on a schedule agreement.When the goods get to Plant1 they do a goods receipt.Say the amount shipped to them is 15 pieces.
When they do the goods receipt for the 15 pieces SAP tells them to put all 15 pieces in HOLD4ORDER.They would like it to tell them to put 10 pieces in HOLD4ORDER and the remaining 5 pieces can go in stock.
In cases where we use schedule agreements to transfer product plant to the plant the manufacturing plant may have a few extra parts from building the production order....they will simply set their schedule agreement line to the amount they built and ship them to the other plant
Also, if this is a procured part....we allow many of our vendors to ship 10% over so this would be another example.
Finally I want know how to drive those extra parts which I receive from my vendor or supply plant to my Stock.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I had another look on the box, and it seems as though the one with 4 bar codes was used to send the printer from HP to Apple as it has the HP address and Apple address on it. The other one with 3 bar codes has "Product of Malaysia" at the bottom. I think this is the one i should send but still not 100%. Anyone else with any advice.

Is there any way to see what I have stored in the Cloud for iTunes?

I am looking to find if some TV shows I bought are in my Cloud. They are in my libarry currently, but I want to make sure that if my computer ever crashes and loses data, that they won't be lost. I am looking for a way to see all the content that is in the Cloud for iTunes, but I have only find the webpage that shows contacts, notes, ect. Anyone know if this is possible? Thanks.

No, Apple very rarely make advance announcements of bug fixes.
You can restore much of the look & feel of the previous version with these shortcuts:
Ctrl-B to turn on the menu bar.
Ctrl-S to turn on the sidebar.
Ctrl-/ to turn on the status bar.
Click the magnifying glass top right and untick Search Entire Library for the old search behavior.
Alternatively you roll back to iTunes 10.7. If so, first download a copy of the 32 bit installer or 64 bit installer as appropriate, uninstall iTunes and supporting software, i.e. Apple Application Support & Apple Mobile Device Support. Reboot. Restore the pre-upgrade version of your library database as per the diagram below, then install iTunes 10.7.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to scan the media folder and catch up with any changes made since the backup file was created.
You might also want to use iTunes Feedback.

How to get the assignees for a specific role in process in BPM 11g

I am using BPM 11g. I am trying to retrieve all the assignees for a a specific role in process. It will be a parameter for a business rule to do further routing rule. But it seems there is no way to get the information. I found that there are Identity Service Functions in Human Task Assignment. But Identity Service Functions are not listed in Business Rule Activity, neither listed in other activities except Human Task Assignment. I cannot get the assignees in my process.
Is there any way to get all the assignees for a role? I also tried to retrieve the assignees out engine with Worklist API, but it cannot get either. Actually we can get all the assignees information in automatic activity in OBPM 10g. Maybe I am still not familiar with 11g. Any advice is appreciated.

My scenario:
Suppose we have a role named ApprovalTeam. In this role, there will be several different department manager (BPM User) added in the role through Workspace. At run time, a request (With department info) with go through the approval by ApprovalTeam. A Business Rule Activity with decide which department manager will approve this request. Different department request will be dispatched dedicate managers, not all the managers in the role. I have an external JavaBean to get the department information from LDAP. To do the routing, I also need know all the department managers (BPM User) in the ApprovalTeam role. Then I can compare which department manager is matched with the request and assign the task to him.

I am trying to publish my iWeb page and it's asking me: Enter the password for "lets4267" on 184.168.17.1 Why is it asking me to enter a password...never had to before. I don't recognize what 'lets4267' is.

I recognize the "lets" but the 4267 I don't know where it came from. Why I'm I all of the sudden asked to enter a password to publish anything on the web site?

In the left hand column of iWeb, select the name of your web site. It should be listed at the top, and indented below it are all your web pages. This should display the "Site Publishing Settings".
Ensure that "publish to" is set to FTP server, then look in the FTP server settings info area. There is a spot there for a password.
This password is provided to you by your FTP server. If you can't remember what this password should be, then you need to contact your FTP server.

What is happening about fixing the bug that prevents me from downloading the updated version of Muse CC 2014

I managed to upload to an external host server (Vidahost.com) but it only only showed an older unmodified version of my site. I used the FTP upload and selected ALL files then tried to upload modified files only. Here is what I received:
'This site was exported from an older version of Muse. Please update to Muse CC 2014 and then upload the site again in orer to use In-Browser Editing.
Some bug in the CC Manager is telling me Muse is updated and the latest Muse CC 2014 is on my machine - or is it a bug in Muse?
Help appreciated while I have a go at rebuilding the site in Dreamweaver.

Using Programs & Features I uninstalled Muse and Muse 2014. Then I uninstalled and re-installed the Adobe Creative Cloud. I then restarted my computer before going to Adobe Creative Cloud and downloading Muse CC 2014. I opened my site at bilyz.com and attempted to upload to FTP. First I tried to upload ALL files but the upload kept stopping and saying it failed to upload but to click resume. Then I tried again but this time tried to upload modified files only but met with same result.
I observed that the upload seemed to be having problems and hanging at 62% before giving me the option to click resume. This stop / start progress continued for over half an hour until I abandoned the upload and returned to muse 'Design'. I then changed the name of each image file from, for example, from 'best%20help' to 'best_help'. After I had changed every image's name I tried to upload again only to notice that the external server was continuing to upload images with the old name.
I cannot be sure if I have the updated version of Muse as I cannot fully upload to the external server which would then give me access to the In-Browser Edit Process.
If you open http://bilyz.com and compare it with http://bilyzcom.businesscatalyst.com you will see the updated version that uploaded without any problems to business catalyst..

Make sure that no other Macs are backing up at the time
Pull the power cord from the back of the Time Capsule
Count to ten
Plug the power cord back into the back of the Time Capsule
Wait a few minutes, then try a backup again
