Hi Jacob,
Can you tell us with which user you are running?
I think there are some file permission are missing with that user id.
Please follow SAP NOTE 113747 to give sufficiant access privillages for BRTOOLS.

Make sure the sapdata8 is owned by ora<SID> and dba group.
and you are adding the datafile using ora<SID> userID.

Expose / Spaces function(s) fail to work with mouse buttons, ongoing issue

This is an issue as old as snow leopard itself. The problem varies in that it can effect spaces or expose. When using a non-apple mouse, one or more of these functions will fail to perform with a mouse button indefinitely as soon as a restart has taken place.
In my particular case, whatever mouse button I assign to "show desktop" fails to function entirely after a restart has taken place. This remains true even if I re-apply the setting in system preferences, such as changing it to another button, or changing it to nothing, and back. I can still use keyboard shortcuts and screen corners to activate "show desktop". I can continue to use other expose and spaces features with the properly assigned mouse keys. Only one feature, in my case "show desktop", fails to function with -any- mouse button after a restart.
To make this even more clear, this behavior has remained the same and consistent for the 14 months I've had snow leopard. It has even continued to exist after I recently removed and recreated my HFS+ partition, and re-installed OS 10.6, entirely from scratch. It did not exist whatsoever for the year and a month I had OS 10.5 leopard, before upgrading to 10.6. This behavior was +literally introduced upon installing snow leopard+. I have a razer death adder 1500 DPI mouse.
Several others share the exact same symptoms, with only the affected expose/spaces function and mouse model differing. A sibling of mine experienced the +exact same issue+ with an entirely different mac model and the exact same model of mouse.
As a relatively unimportant aside, certain "tricks" seem to fix the issue, but only temporarily (one involves moving the location of spaces and/or expose out of the utilities folder, another involves deleting "com.apple.symbolichotkeys.plist" from ~/Library/Preferences). Unfortunately, these tricks:
A. always only fix the problem temporarily, the issue returns
B. do not address whatever is causing the issue in the first place
This is really frustrating quite a few people, as the linked-to thread can attest to. Along with the obvious, this frustration is magnified because:
A. This issue +does not appear+ to involve terribly challenging technical difficulties (i.e., merely mouse button behaviors).
B. This issue did not seem to exist before OS 10.6.
C. This issue, with the previous two points above in mind, has remained unaddressed for 14-plus months - the entire duration of Mac OS 10.6 snow leopard. I myself originally figured a reasonable time for this issue to be addressed & resolved would be a matter of +a few days+, weeks at most, and at the very least, thought I'd be using these beloved features again +well over a year ago+.
To put it frankly, what the %$#&? Why hasn't this been addressed yet?

Error message "Product Recovery Function" removed

Hi all........I am in a big trouble at this moment.I have installed OS XP which i am having from university. I am trying to reinstall my original Winxp using Rescue & Recovery 3.0. I repaired my MBR using MBR repair diskette and installed RnR 3.0. After that when i pressed F11 key it enters in rescue and recovery but when i click to bring my laptop to original factory state it gives me an error "Product Recovery Function removed from the system". I am service partition is still intact with the hard disk. It would be really helpful if someone can share his knowledge and experience.

Hi,
The recovery DVDs from Lenovo should get you going.
Are you trying to shrink the C: partition from within Windows? It's probably the page or hibernation file that is the problem. If you want to keep trying while waiting for the DVDs you could try an off-line partitioning tool. gParted on a Linux live CD or USB flash drive for instance.
There is some cloning software that can do a shrink during the clone op - Acronis for instance.

Product: Java X Update X.. removal failed or error status 1602

Managing several different environments I repeatedly run into the same error on "to many" computers.
We use SCCM as our primary distribution tool and install Java using the embedded MSI and a custom made MST.
End user platform is: Windows XP and/or Windows 7
The installs works flawlessly in 95% of all cases but the remaining 5% are still a big hurdle to have to handle manually.
Problem:
Installing the newest version returns error code: 1602.
For a long time I have been ignoring it since it generally means that the end user has cancled the installation. But upon furter investigation I have found out that this is not the case.
On the individual computer the eventlog actually reports: Product: Java X Update X.. removal failed or error status 1602.
It is the uninstall of the previous version that fails.
Does anyone know what causes this and possible a solution?

The same problem happened to me. When upgrading from JRE 1.5.0_5 to JRE 1.5.0_6, suddenly no applets would load, and all I could see was the little red X.
I tried to change proxysettings (I dont use a proxy, but it is told at http://www.java.com/en/download/help/redximage.xml that it is due to wrong proxy-settings). It didn't help.
I tried to turn off zonealarm. It didn't help.
I tried to clear the browsers cache. It didn't help.
I have been using both Firefox 1.5, and IE6. None would load the java-applets.
So I uninstalled all older JRE versions and installed JRE 1.4.1_02. It worked!
I then tried to upgrade to JRE 1.5.0. It didn't work.
Now I am back at JRE 1.4.1_02 without knowing why I had to downgrade through 6 versions that through the last year or so has been working fine on my machine.
I have no idea why it suddenly wouldnt work with the newer versions.
Any ideas?

Take it to your local Apple Store or AASP, it's covered by a 1 year hardware warranty. If you have AppleCare then give them a call but I'm pretty sure they will advise the same. If you have not purchased AppleCare yet please do, this will extend the warranty to 3 years however it MUST be purchased within the first year of ownership. Adapter function [fconnect] failed

Hi All,
I am using FDM 11.1.2.1 in a distributed architecture. With FDM Web Manager is installed on one machine and other components are installed on the other server , using installation by tier option.
Everything is working fine including HFM & Financial Reporting.
I have created the FDM application on the server having components such as Application Server , Load Balance & Task Manager Configuration.
While accessing the application from Web Interface i am getting the following error.
*Getting error : " Adapter function [fconnect] failed " while trying to access Activities---> Maps.*
I have tried almost everything but no luck.
I have registered the adapter using fm11xge.dll file .
Every server is configured using same Administrator user.
Can any one help me out to resolve this error.

You need to both register and configure the adapter. The adapter runs as a com+ application on the FDM server and requires that the service account be set on the identity tab in order to properly launch the adapter and connect to HFM. You can configure the adapter via the workbench client:
a) Expand Target System Adapters > FM11x-G5-E
b) Right-Click on the adapter and choose Configure
c) Enter the FDM Service account uid/pwd/domain values and click OK
This will set the identity on the com+ application and allow for FDM to integrate with HFM successfully via the connect action.

How to remove "removing failed" on Memory Card

I installed "bloomberg", "Financial Di..." and other applications on memory card.
I formatted my phone Nokia E71, but I forgot to remove on my phone. So when I push my memory card:
- "Bloomberg" and "Financial Di..." are in Menu/Installation, but I can not run. I remove them, my phone showed that "File corrupted".
- Some applications do not appear in Menu/ Installation, I opened Application Manager to remove them, but my phone showed that "Removing failed".
Please tell me how to remove these applications.

I would have thought that formatting the card will get rid off those, back up your important stuff beforehand though.

So what is up with this error message in Muse?

This is a genuine security error generated by the browser when viewing a page with iFrame content locally.
