Branch office WDS still pullinh image from main site

Hi,
I'm trying to configure a WDS on our branch site.
what i did was open a new folder named DeployFilesFromMaster on the branch office server and replicate the DeploymentShare from main to branch office using DFS.
then i installed WDS services on the branch office and add a Boot Image (taken from DeployFilesFromMaster)
next i configured, under Scope Option on the DHCP server, options 66 (giving the ip address of the branch WDS), and option 67 (giving the path \Boot\x64\wdsnbp.com).
now when I'm booting a computer into PXE it start working, but when pressing F8 and use the netstat command i see it has a session to my main office deploy server instead to the branch office.
what do i need to change?
when looking in the branch office server, there is ofcourse the DeployFilesFromMaster folder and there is another folder named DeploymentShare that was made while installiing the WDS server, and there is a wdsnbp.com file as well. how do I know, when DHCP
direct me to the boot file name, that it direct me to the right file, or it doesnt matter.

The variable WDSSERVER is a variable that is figured out by MDT when booting a machine using the boot image created by Microsoft Deployment Toolkit. Therefore it is not available in Windows.
If you want different WSUS servers depending on location of the client you can use for instance this technique in CustomSettings.ini. This will point clients on a specific subnet to a specific WSUS server.

Hi,
The scenario is the following:
1 Domain. Windows 2012 R2.
6 sites. 1 DC per site. 3 subnets per site.
5 sitelinks.
The sites diagram is the following:
The branch office "SITE04" will not host any Microsoft service/server/PC. Network routing/flow scheme will not change (branch office SITE04 reamins routing traffic to/from SITE05 and SITE06).
The questions are:
Does the existing SITE04 subnets must be deleted?
Does the existing SITE04 site must be deleted?
Does the existing SITE04-SITE05 and SITE04-SITE06 site links must be deleted?
if yes to any of the above questions?
How to redesign the subnets/sites/site links?

The SITE04 branch office will not host Microsoft-based PCs/Servers/Services. SITE04 will be used for network traffic routing purposes and will host servers from another platform.
Why to mantain SITE04 subnets?

If you right-click an image you can select to "Block Images" from the site, but how do you reverse this choice?

If you right-click an image on a web page you can select to
"Block Images from [the url of the site]".
This works well, particularly to make the page printer-friendly, but how do you reverse this choice to see the images again?

You can see all permissions for the current page in Tools > Page Info > Permissions
If it is from a different domain then use this:
*A way to see which images are blocked is to click the favicon (Site Identification icon) on the left side of the location bar.
*A click on the "More Information" button will open the Security tab of the "Page Info" window (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
*Open the Media tab of the "Page Info" window.
*Select the first image and scroll down though the list with the Down arrow key.
*If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

Storing source files separate from main site files

Hi there,
I'm using Dreamweaver CS6.
Is there a way to set up a site definition to store source files (EG. Photoshop files etc) on a separate ftp server, away from the main site files.
I'm trying to avoid having to setup 2 site definitions if possible to keep things tidy.
So the end result would be something like this:
Site files get uploaded to ftp.mysite.com
and
The contents of folder _source gets uploaded to ftp.mysource.com

You could use a 3rd party FTP client like FileZilla to upload source files to a separate location on your server.

How to move all images from a site to a new folder and not lose links?

I have always wondered this.....tried a few things with no success..Whenever I take over a site from someone, a lot of time the previous designer did not make folders for ANYTHING including images.....so in thier main directory they have 20 html pages, 200 images and css files etc.....I can not think this way.....I want to just make a folder for images...put all the images there.....a css folder....etc. Once I do this all my links are lost and it is to much work to replace each one with the broken link finder in Dreamweaver......In some other applications like Logic Studio ( a music production application as an example ) it is very similar. Your main song file is pointing to linked audio files all over your hard drive....If you decide you want to move that drive it will search for the linked audio files and when it can not find them it asks you to specify the new folder or search manually for them.....if I had moved 200 audio files it comes in quite handy because I can just point to that new folder and im done.......finally, my question is what would you guys recommend for doing this? Moving hundreds of image files so that I can organize things...........any help would be GREATLY appreciated...I have googled but found no great technique...

I'm having the same or similar issue... I think... trying to do a little house cleaning in the file structure. For example, in our events folder I'm creating archive folders (i.e. - 2004, 2005, ect...) and when I use the Files Panel to drag and drop the past event pages into the newly created archive folder, the pages loose all their links.
Image link prior to and after moving are the same (../images/logo1.gif)
It does ask me to confirm that I want to move the file but nothing about updating the links. Is it due to the way the files are linked in the original files?

Firefox 3.6.12 does not load nay images from Joomla sites 1.5.21 and above. Works on Safari but Not Firefox. This happened after the firefox upgrade. All Joomla 1.5.20 and below work ok. why is this happening?

I have been developing Joomla sites for more than 4 years now and generally all the Joomla sites work well in Firefox. In this case, however, ever since Joomla upgraded to 1.5.21 and above, all Joomla sites on this level are having problems with Firefox 3.6.12 loading images.
We have tested a number of Joomla template manufactures and all the results are the same.
This problem is with the macbook pro only thus far. All the other apple products, like the towers, etc. are fine.
Not sure why this is happening. Any advice would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks a lot for your swift response. And sorry if it was a bit too hectic to go through my detailed query (which I did because it was misunderstood when I asked previously). As I've mentioned above, I was informed that updating to 5.0.1 would '''require''' me to '''delete''' the current version and then install the new one. And doing so will involve losing all my bookmarks. I guess I should have been more specific and detailed there. By losing, I didn't mean losing them forever. I'm aware that they're secured in some place and deleting and installing the software doesn't harm its existence. What I meant that if I install the new version, I'd have to delete the old one. And after installing the new version, I'd have to transfer them (bookmarks) back from wherever they are. Get it? When it updated from 3.6.9 to 3.6.13, and from 3.6.13 to 3.6.18, I didn't need to follow that process. They were already present on their own.
BTW, I'm having no problems with 3.6.18 but after learning about the existence of version 5.0.1, I'm a bit too eager to lay my hands over it.

Branch Office Access

I use TMG as our companies Proxy as well as default gateway. I have recently installed 2 sonicwall tz105 devices, one located at our branch office and one located in our main office where the TMG server is located. The branch office uses this device for
internet access and a vpn tunnel to our main office. (At one time I had a ISA server at the branch location and it was the vpn tunnel to our main but this is a small 2 man office and keeping the isa server up to date was becoming a pain.) The branch office
has no problems accessing the main office. My problem is getting the main office to access the branch office. Right now if a client computer on the main network wants to access a server on the branch office the only way to accomplish this is to change the
client computers gateway from the tmg server ip to the sonicwall ip. This was not a problem in the past when I had 2 isa or tmg servers at both locations because the rules would pass the traffic to the branch office. I have tried putting rules in the TMG server
for traffic bound to the branch office network but nothing seems to work.
Should I be using tmg rules to accomplish this or do I need to go a different route such as dns or routing.

Belwo are my suggestations.
Ensure all the client Default gateway is pointing to TMG, If you have any L3 Switch Devices before TMG Internal Interface then on L3 point Default gateway to TMG Internal Interface and on all client make Gateway as L3 Switch.
Create a network Subnet Set of Branch Office in TMG
In TMG Networking, You need to have a route relationship
Go to Networking, Create a new network Rule, From Branch Office Subnet to Internal as Route ( Not NAT). As route is bidirectional it will automatically route Internal to Branch Office
On Access Rule, Create Two Rules, Internal to Office Subnet and Office to Internal and allow all outbound Ports
Ensure, Your SonicWALL is Routing Traffic to Internal network to TMG External interface.

Clients Not seeing DHCP server at branch office or not accepting ip offers (NO LOG REPORTS KIND OF IN THE DARK)

Hi there i am having an issue that has popped up recently i have a DC at a branch office that is connected to the main office DC via a Persistent Demand Dial connection in RRAS. Everything was working properly according to me until i found out that the Network
Admin who manages the branch office network failed to notify me that client machines weren't getting IP addresses from the DHCP server. This server was recently installed and wasn't fully implemented till about a week ago when i configured the Demand Dial
connection in RRAS up until that point it just had a regular old VPN connection to the main office while we worked out the kinks with a few things. the things ive tried so far to get DHCP working are as followed
1.Rebooted the branch office server (MULTIPLE TIMES)
2. Uninstalled the DHCP Role and re-installed it....To my surprise 1 client managed to get a ip on its lan adapter after DHCP was re-installed but nothing else
3. Disconnected the connection between the main office DC and the Branch office DC as i figured the main office DC DHCP server might be interfering with the branch office DC DHCP Server but nothing happened
4. Unauthorized and Reauthorized the main office DHCP server and the branch office DHCP server nothing changed
5. sifted through multiple log files on both servers and found noting in fact DHCP logs are empty on both servers
6. restored backups of the DHCP servers from when they were working
7. came here cause im out of ideas and im pulling my hair out

1. The documentation says an odbc dsn should have been automatically created with a name of "USER_DBNAME when sync with Mobile server
2. A blank "files available for download" page is display with no buttons and no file from url http://BR/public/download
3. Cant see any application in the Branch office system
 Steps used to create/publish a branch office application
 We have three machines and their hostnames are
 M1 = Mobile Server + Mobile development kit Win2k
 M2 = Branch Office win2k
 M3 = Branch Office client win2k
1) Install Mobile Server and mobile developer kit 5.0.2 on machine M1 2) Launch "Mobile Server Control Center" to machine M1
3) Create user Test, Assign user "Test" System Privilege of
"Administrator"
4) Assign user "Test" to the "Branch Adminstrators" group
5) Create a dummy application (Sample. jar).
6) Launch packaging wizard on machine m1
7) Select "Win32 Native" as your target
8) created snapshots with scott.emp table
9) Enter "Sample" in the client side database name field.
10) Publish the application from machine M1
11) Launch "Mobile Server Control Center" to machine m1
12) from the applications tab of "Control Center" Select the
"Sample application
13) Enter the database users password and save the change
14) Select the "Access" link from the left nav and grant user

Check the public file box for file "Sample.jar" and save changes

20) checked the M1 machine and it did not install my "Sample.jar" but can see Sample.odb
21) Now attempt to configure the branch office client machine m1
22) From machine M2 download the client software @ http://m1/public/download

Trying to embed images from my iWeb site

Sorry if this has been asked before but I did a search and could not find any answers.
I upgraded from iLife 06 to 08 and managed to get a seamless transition of my iWeb site. The only problem now is that I seem unable to embed images from my site into other web pages on other sites. It used to be a case of copying and pasting the image address into the other web page. Now however it comes up with a very different looking image address that no longer ends with .jpg(jpeg) I have tried adding the .jpg to the end of the address without any success. Am I simply missing the obvious or is this feature no longer available?

Disable slideshow or not won't effect the way javascript render photos page images into canvas and anchor links.
But, You can:
1) get Safari 3.1.1, and turn on Develop menu. Safari -> Preferences... -> Advanced -> Show Develop menu in menu bar (bottom item). This allows you to see all the elements in the page.
2) get Firefox, FF has DOM Inspector and Page Info.
With the above, you will have to wade thru the info and fish out the links. or,
3) using script to do the heavy lifting (scripting is your friends), there two free scripting languages: AppleScript and JavaScript in every mac.
Combine the two and with understanding of iweb and DOM and you have the ultimate tools for iweb developing, here is the result of your first three links (I have all of them, but just post three here):

Read an Image from a outside server

Hi, I want to display a image from a site like: "http://my_site/image.gif" into a image_item.
I tried with this:

But it doesn't work.

READ_IMAGE_FILE reads from the file system, not from an URL. You will have to use a Java class on the server to read the image ot a temporary directory and then read it from there.

WDS: Can an image captured from a HDD be deployed to a SSD (and still have all the benefits of an SSD...)?

WDS Server is Windows Server 2012. All captured images are Windows 7 x64 Enterprise. I'm capturing images from a virtual machine (VMware Workstation) on a HDD and hoping to deploy to SSDs. Will this cause any issues? Will certain
SSD advantages be disabled? Are there any steps I need to take to make it work/optimize it?

I would say it wouldn't change anything in terms of performance. If you do a capture and sysprep it would be just like you install from scratch from a DVD, since sysprep removes all hardware-related information. The advantage of SSD is usually only dependent
on the controller and driver. As you say if you have SATA mode AHCI or RAID, this usually releases the controllers full capabilities as 6Gbps port, aswell all native querying etc.
However, since you are running IRST, I want to mention that the IRST driver makes a BIG difference, e.g. if you are having Dell systems and running either RAID0 or RAID5, the performance increase can be up to +50% using the latest drivers from Intel instead
of the built in ones. I haven't tested the difference for single disks though, but it shouldn't differ as much.
