Brand new 13" MBP will not turn on. Period.

I bought my 2011 13" MBP last Tuesday and now it will not turn on at all. It had 33 mins left on battery time and I plugged the power adapter in to charge and nothing happened. The light on the adapter didn't turn on nor did the computer respond to the adapter being plugged in. I plugged it into other working outlets and nothing.
I'm starting to believe its a hardware issure. As I've only had the MBP for a week and it actually shut off on me and rebooted on three different ocassions. as well as a couple of times I closed and reopened the the laptop and it took a while for the screen to turn on, once after a manual restart.
I just talked to apple support and they talked me through rebooting the battery, through controlshift+altpower. and again nothing. granted the computer had a half hour of power left, but it seems to be dead to me. a paperweight.
help!

If you have only had the computer for a week then just take it back where ever you bought the computer and return it for a new one. simple enough.

I decided to get rid of my Tilt and go to an iPhone 4. Everthing was great for two days. I love the phone. However, I got off of a call and put the phone down. Picked it up about 20 mins later and it will not turn on. The phone has not been damaged in any way water or otherwise.
Thinking the phone is turned off,I have tried holding down the home button and the off button on the upper right hand side of the phone.
I am new to apple products. Is the phone simply turned off and I just don't know how to turn it on or is it broken?

I tried the charger for about 15 mins before I had to go and the phone would still not power on.
I held the two buttons down and the Apple symbol did come on and the phone is now on and apparently working. It showed the battery empty. The weird thing is that when I got off the call before the phone quit working, the battery meter said over 50%. I only have a couple of apps on the phone besides what it came with. Incidentally, I am still running 4.01. I haven't had time to upgrade.
Would it be normal for the battery to just drop to zero like that?
How often should I reset my iPhone by holding down the home and sleep/wake buttons.

Brand new iPhone 5s will not turn on

I purchased a brand new iPhone 5s for my daughter and when we went to turn it on this morning, it would not turn on. I charged the phone, in case that was the issue but still nothing but a black screen. I connected to itunes and tried to restore the iPhone features, it recognized that it was an iphone but gave me an error 40 and the apple logo and progress bar was only visible. Once I diconnected from itunes, the screen went blank again. I also made sure that our iMac updates were completely up to date and that there were no security settings blocking its use, but still no luck.
Any suggestions?

Check for hardware issues
Try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good. Also, confirm your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers. If you still see the alert when you update or restore, contact Apple support.

I just got my Macbook Pro 2 days ago. It was working just fine yesterday but now it willl not turn on. I plugged it in and the green light is lit up but it will still not turn on. Help!

Just out of the box, turned it on, set it up on wifi successfully, then plugged it in overnight. This morning it will not respond at all, does not power up. I am currently in Italy (it is an unlocked phone ordered from Apple US), so I cannot just head for the nearest Apple Store with it.

I recently purchased a refurbished iPod touch to develop apps on. I have had the iPod touch for about a week and last night the iPod suddenly shut off in the middle of use. The battery was low so I figured it was simply a dead battery and I went to plug it into the charger. This morning, I tried to turn it back on after about 10 hours of charging and I got the same dead battery plug in charger screen. I then swichted it to a usb slot on my macbook and left it to charge all day for about 9 hours. Again, I turned it on and nothing, just a dead battery screen. Both usb slots on my computer are working completely fine for my other devicesbut not this. I have also tried plugging it into the wall, but I get the same results. One other possibility is that I have the iOS 8 Beta on my phone currently and I have experienced some issues with that, but not enough to brick my device...or at least I thought. I have only had this device for a few days and so far I am very disappointed that this has happened already. If anyone can help me out without having to go to an Apple store for service that would be great!

So did you iPod 5th gen worked again? I had similar experience. This is my own iPod (not refurbished), so I know it was
in great condition (I rarely used it but only for dev). I installed iOS8 Beta, and one morning, the screen won't turn on.
I plugged in power and nothing happened. After a few min, I heard that characteristic "power beep" and thankfully,
it came back to live. What I noticed is that I have > 90% power. So whatever happened, it isnt because it's low in
battery.
I have a suspicion it is entirely due to iOS 8 beta. Such a thing never happened to my iPod till the day I installed it.
My theory is that it is doing something busy, or there's a bug in the "waking" mechanism, and become extremely
sluggish to any external input, until it is done with whatever mysterious things it was doing. I am now putting it
in air plane mode whenever i don't need it, and also turn off icloud back up. Hopefully, I don't see this anymore.

If none of the tricks like reboot (hold both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears) do not help, take the iPhone back to an Apple store genius bar and have them test the WiFi module. You can also connect via USB to a computer running iTunes and update that way.

At least I'm not the only one with the issue. I was looking it up so see if others had the same problem and found a bunch of posts about it. I'm assuming it's not the phone then, it's the software. Should I bring it to the Apple Store? Replacing the phone seems stupid, because the phone isn't really the problem. It's the software! Maybe the iOS 5.0.2 will fix it??? I don't really want to wait though, it's a pain. If a lot of people have this issue it should get Apple's attention. They need to do something to fix it, ASAP!

I know it has to be frustrating wanting to use your iPhone but cannot turn it on. In this situation I would recommend the steps listed in the attached article.
iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

New 15" MBP will not connect to my wireless network

This is my first Mac, so I will try to give as much information as possible.
I have a brand new (got it yesterday) 15" MBP and it refuses to connect to my home wireless network. It is an older "g" network using a Linksys router and 128bit WEP encryption. For reference - I have an iPad and 2 iPhones in my household, and those have all connected to the same network without problem, as have the 2 windows laptops that my wife & I use for work so I don't think it's the network.
Anyway - I fired up the MBP and went through the set up assistant. When I try to join my wireless network, it detects the network fine. I select the network and try to connect. It goes throught the process and then I get a prompt that says "Network conditions have changed". I click OK and it prompts me to enter the password for the wireless network. (At this point I have the little exclamation point in the wifi symbol on the top of the screen telling me I have no internet access - which I believe is how it's supposed to look).
On the password screen, I select "WEP 40/128 Hex" as the password type - on the security information screen in the router set-up it says "WEP 26 hex 128 bit" as the type, so I believe that's the correct password type for the MBP. I enter the 26 digit key (the same one that I used to connect the iPad/iPhones) and after trying to connect for a couple minutes I get the "Network conditions have changed" prompt again. I click OK, and then it tells me it failed to connect to the network.
I have tried entering the WEP key with a "$" in front of it and entering it with "0x" or "0X" in front of it and the same thing happens. I've also tried changing the password type to "WEP Password" and entering the password I used in the router to generate the hex key, and the same thing - it tries to connect and then I get the "Network conditions have changed" prompt and it tells me it failed to connect.
I am at a loss. I haven't touched the router's settings because everything else I have (Apple and non-Apple products) have all connected just fine - all I've had to do is enter the WEP key and they have connected.
What am I doing wrong? Is the MBP somehow different and I need to change something in the router settings? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, BT Hubs do not play well with HP printers, probably because they do not strictly follow wifi standards.
One thing to try is to change your encryption to WPA ONLY.

Brand new 27" iMac will not sleep

I have a brand new iMac 27" and it will not sleep. It just turns itself back on again.
I have the same hardware peripherals as I did on my 20" iMac.
I tried the energy settings, shutting off the wireless mouse, and I still can't get it to sleep.
I have read I can shut down "processes" but I'm afraid to as I don't know which ones to shut down and I don't want to mess up the system.

Try holding down command-option-P-R at boot time. Let it chime. Keep holding the keys down until it chimes again, and then release them, and see if it boots OK.
If that doesn't work, then power it off again, unplug it from the wall, wait 30 seconds, plug it in and try.
If that doesn't work, then reboot it, hold down command-R at boot, and try to get to the recovery partition. If you do, launch Disk Utility and try and verify the disk.

Brand new iPod touch will not connect to home wifi

Monday I got a brand new iPod 4 to replace my previous one, as the home button had failed unexpectedly. The new iPod is working fine, running the latest iOS but when I try to connect our secure home wifi, it won't accept the password. We have reset the password and I've reset network settings. I'm so frustrated, because everything else connects to the wifi BUT my iPod will not take our correct password. What can I do? Should I take it back to Apple? I'm already annoyed by having to get a new iPod. The last one connected just fine but now this one won't.

Does the iPod connect to other networks?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. done
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
