I can't send a photo by text - New user, Blackberry Torch 9800

I recently started using the Blackberry Torch 9800 and I'm still getting the hang of things.
This means I'm at the stage where i'm still accidentally muting myself while i leave a phone message or putting people on hold with my ear. If anyone has a master solution for this, that's welcomed, but it's not my main question.
I want to know how to send a photo by text. I've tried, and it comes up with an x next to it, as it hasn't sent.
i looked around the internet and found the suggestion that I resize my images using some app. The app they suggested doesn't exist anymore so I downloaded "Fast Photo Editor Free" and resized my image. It still didn't send. I made it smaller than you'd ever want an image to be, and it still wouldn't send.
To be clear, I can put the photo in the text, but once I push send, the text shows up with a red x next to it.
I'm not really sure what to do.

BLACKBERRY TORCH 9800

Hello everyone. A few days ago the screen of my blackberry torch 9800 stopped working, if i switch on my phone the keyboard and the red light on the too of the screen work, but the screen stays black. I would like to know if somebody else had this problem and if i have to change the entire screen to solve it or there's something else i can do. Thanks

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness shows up, the first thing to try is a proper reboot:
With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Failing that, I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:
KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode
It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, see what happens.
If the behavior ceases, then think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.
But if the behavior continues in Safe Mode, then you may indeed have a hardware problem...for which no amount of OS or Software level "fixes" can be of any use.
Nevertheless, you may want to consider more drastic actions -- WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload, and the "Bare Bones" OS Reload Process. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup to your PC...please review the Backup link in my auto-sig on this post for instructions.

Which carrier did you use in India with the Blackberry 9800?? As Tmobile only work with GSM network.
Now you said you swtich from IPHONE back to the Blackberry 9800. Do you have a Blackberry DATA plan now on tmobile? No just the regular data plan. As regular data plan does not work with Blackberry.

Blackberry Torch 9800 key lights on front of device stay on all the time, even in standby

Hello Everyone,
I have a Blackberry Torch 9800 and it was not giving any screen output.
I completed a security wipe of all the info on the device and fixed the issue.
I can use the phone now.
Upon putting the phone in standby the screen shuts off as its supposed to, but the key lights on the front of the device stay on. This drains the battery.
I have searched all over the internet to figure out how to solve this issue and no dice.

It actually might not be that simple. This is because the Torch OS takes up ~250MB from what I've read. If you remember, the Bold 9700 only comes with 256MB of application memory, meaning that somehow or another, whatever version of BB6 ends up going on the Bold 9700, it won't be the same as the Torch OS as the Bold 9700 simply doesn't have the space for it. I don't want to speculate as we simply don't know at this point in time, but one thing that is certain is that the Bold 9700 will get a different version from the Torch 9800. On the otherhand, the Bold 9650 may see a version of the OS that is much more similar to the Torch 9800 as it also comes with 512MB of application memory (just like the Torch 9800).
At this point, it's still too early to really know exactly what will happen for certain. But one thing that is guaranteed is that the OS that will come on the Torch 9800 will not work on the Bold 9700. Bold 9700 users will have to wait for BB6 to be released for the Bold 9700.

Trouble with my Blackberry Torch 9800

I have a blackberry torch 9800 with AT&T. My phone ran out of batteries and i charged it all i got was a red light for five seconds and then the led light in the corner blinked out and the screen wouldnt turn on. I assumed i needed a new battery so purchased a new one and the key lights lit up and the led light in the corner blinks yellow now but the phone still wont turn on what should i do next?

Plug your phone in to your PC and open BlackBerry Desktop Software. If you don't have it installed on your PC, go to www.blackberry.com/desktop from your PC browser.
Once you've plugged your phone in and opened BDS, wait for the software to connect to your phone. You might get a message from the software about your phone i.e. you need to reload your OS, etc.
Do that and post back with your results.

Incompatiblity of app world 4.0 with blackberry torch 9800

I got the OS installed from the service center. Things were working fine. When I opened the app world, it asked for upgrade to 4.0 version and boom.. the same problem again. Java exception errror and app world doesn't open.
Can someone one check, if there is incompatiblity of app world 4.0 with blackberry torch 9800?

How do I re-install the operating system on my BlackBerry Torch 9800 - I am sure it is hacked.

Can someone point me to instructions on how to re-install the operating system on a BlackBerry Torch 9800 and then upgrade it to the latest release?
I have done this several times in the past, due to recurring hacking, but have lost the instructions.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
The simplest way is to, on a PC (you cannot do this on MAC):
1) Make sure you have a current and complete backup of your BB...you can find complete instructions via the link in my auto-sig below.
2) Uninstall, from your PC, any BB OS packages
3) Make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

4) Download and install, to your PC, the BB OS package you desire:
http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
It is sorted first by carrier -- so if all you want are the OS levels your carrier supports, your search will be quick. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To truly seek out the most up-to-date OS package for your BB, you must dig through and find all carriers that support your specific model BB, and then compare the OS levels that they support.
5) Delete, on your PC, all copies of VENDOR.XML...there will be at least one, and perhaps 2, and they will be located in or similarly to (it changes based on your Windows version) these folders:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
C:\Users\(your Windows UserName)\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
6a) For changing your installed BB OS level (upgrade or downgrade), you can launch the Desktop Software and connect your BB...the software should offer you the OS package you installed to your PC.
6b) Or, for reloading your currently installed BB OS level as well as for changing it, bypass the Desktop Software and use LOADER.EXE directly, by proceeding to step 2 in this process:

Note that while written for "reload" and the Storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload any BB device model -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC.
If, during the processes of 6a or 6b, your BB presents a "507" error, simply unplug the USB cord from the BB and re-insert it...don't do anything else...this should allow the install to continue.
If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:

Blackberry Torch 9800 Khmer unicode

Blackberry Torch 9800 can unstall khmer unicode?
and also cannot connect wifi.

Unable to verify my email on my blackberry torch 9800.

Can someone please help I am unable to verify my email on my blackberry torch 9800. - I used to receive my email but I received ane email requestion for me to verify my email and password by going into setup and going into my email but when I go into setup and go into email account my phoce freezes. Syncing issues with my Blackberry Torch 9800

I have been trying to sync my Blackberry Torch 9800 since August 2011. I have updated the latest software and followed every instruction given to me. Nothing seems to wortk. My Mac (running OS10 Leopard) recognizes the Torch but won't sync. It gives me an error message and asks me to resync. I'm close to throwing the Blackberry out the window and purchasing an iPhone. I'm at wit's end. Any suggestions?

I had sync issue on Enterprise email and my gmail account today from 6am to 8pm. Single point of failure sucks. I would go Iphone but my company uses Blackberry.

Problems With Blackberry Torch 9800

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on a problem I appear to be having surrounding my girlfriend's phone and our BT Hub.
When my girlfriend uses the internet on her Blackberry Torch 9800 it throws everybody else off the router which includes my Iphone, laptop and PS3. It had been racking my brain as to what the problem was recently as I was finding I was having to reset my router several times a day and it finally twigged this weekend when she went away and I had a weekend of trouble free internet use. Lo and behold, she comes back yesterday evening and the problems start up again!
Anyway, stopping short of getting rid of her and her phone, does anyone know why this may be happening and does anyone know how to fix this?

Enterprise is normally for corporate accounts with email accounts and/or devices owned by the employer. If you don't know what it is, you very likely are not on an Enterprise mail account.
Do you see the RIM logo (the dots) next to the "3G"?
So, if your BIS BlackBerry Internet service is not connected, you need to ask Rogers to investigate. It DOES NOT MATTER if you didn't buy the device from them... you ARE paying them for the BIS service.
Try this... IF you are certain that your Rogers account does have the correct BlackBerry Data Plan provisioned to it.
When you call Rogers, you ask them to make sure your device PIN and IMEI is absolutely provisioned to your Rogers account.
1) Register HRT: Look at Options > Device > Advanced > Host Routing Table > Scroll to any line entry and > press the Menu key > and then click Register Now.
2) Resend Service Books: Article ID: KB02830 How to send the service books for a BlackBerry Internet Service account. http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830
3) Then, with the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.
