Brand new iphone4 resets during sync

I have used an iphone for work , no problems for over a year , but the button on the top (on/screen lock) on top of the phone broke last week , so I got a new phone from work and took it home to resync it on my iMac. First I backed up my old phone and then restored the NEW phone from this backup.
But during the sync , the new phone resets every time , and so never finishes the sync.
It is currently reseting .syncing reseting syncing everyy 2 -3 minutes.
What the **** is wrong????

I think I just realised it MUST be a hardware issue on the new phone.
I get the resets even without syncing or connecting to iTunes , just keeping the screen on and it happens.
I set up the email to my work exchange server and as it was downloading the mails the screen went BROWN (....yes brown) and dim then reset. it seems to do it at regular intervals. every 3 minutes regardless if I do anything or not ......
you think "hardware" issue ??

Brand new iphone4 was working now completely dead. It won't even turn on.

I just got a new iphone4 and it was working fine. Syncing it up was great. I was using it and it was working fine.
Then I went to use it 30 minutes later and nothing....
I tried to reset it...nothing.
Even though I knew it was charged I plugged it in and nothing....it didn't even show it charging.
I plugged it into itunes and it did not automatically open itunes.
I held down the on/off button and opened itunes. It told me it needed to restore so I am restoring it but the screen on the phone is blank.
I'm assuming I have to just take it in but if anyone has any suggestions or this has happened to them. I would appreciate some advice.

Brand new AppleTV audio loses sync with video in any of the apps over time

I bought a brand new panasonic viera plasma and a brand new Apple TV. Video is set to 1080p and I have comcast cable internet. I have three apple TVs in the house. The other two are the 720P models. I've tried two new appletvs on new tv only and after an hour or so of viewing videos in any of the apps (hbogo,Netflix,Hulu) the audio loses sync resulting in me resetting the ATV and fixing the issue temporarily.
I didn't have this problem when I was using the 720p model ATV on the new tv.
Could it be the larger 1080P files?

does it happen with shared material in an itunes lib?
if not and only the internet streaming services then maybe it's a Internet network issue

Brand new iPod touch, only synced once. Now showing the pairing record missing notification. Not recognised by iTunes OR computer. Have tried literally everything including reinstalling iTunes, rebooting, etc. Please help.

As I've said, brand new iPod touch. I only synced it Friday night, put some music on it. This morning tried to connect to iTunes and got a message saying the pairing record was missing? Computer isn't recognising it either, but it charges off the computer just fine. Have tried everything including changing USB port, rebooting, uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes twice, literally everything I've found on forums. Anyone help me out here? I'm so annoyed I could nearly cry.

Brand new iPod touch having syncing problems

I bought a brand new iPod touch 4th generation to replace my 3rd generation one. When I first plugged it in, almost everything synced over. After I noticed my notes, calender, photos, and previously saved wallpaper photos didn't transfer over, I synced my iPod again. The second time, the notes transfered over but not the rest of the stuff. I tried to manually sync photos. Now, my iPod won't sync at all with the message "Cannot be synced. The required file cannot be found." popping up. If I go into wall papers or simply photos, the main library is just a black screen with a scroll bar. It also says the iPod is up to date. Please help.
I'm scared to completely restore because I don't want everything to wipe from my computer.

If you are connecting to a hub discontinue doing so and try connecting directly to your computer and see what happens.

HELP! brand new iMac froze during firewire transfer and won't start!!!

During my setup for my brand new iMac I follwed the directions and connected my iBook via firewire to transfer my files. I noticed after a while that my iMac was frozen on "45 minutes remaining" and the blue line wasn't wavering a bit, and after over half an hour it hadn't moved. I powered off the iBook, and still nothing happened to the iMac screen--it remained frozen. I went to the guidebook and nothing seemed to work, so I powered off and on again, only to get a flashing question mark. All this and I just bought the darn thing tonight!
Help! Anyone know what happened and more importantly how to fix it?

it sounds like the iBook went to sleep during the transfer or at least it's hard drive spun down.
what you need to know is hope that simply booting from your install DVD will let you repair the iMac's hard drive. You could also try booting holding down the Command S keys on startup and when you get to the Single User Mode command line prompt follow the directions there for running fsck to repair your hard drive.
Do you have a FW hard drive? Can you copy files from iBook to FW and then from there to iMac?
And, it is always nice to have a FW emergency/backup hard drive. The iMac needs a different partition scheme to be bootable from FW than the iBook does, but you can create the proper partition type etc from a Tiger Installer and put OS X on FireWire, then see if you can backup and repair your iMac's hard drive.
MicroMat's TechTool Pro 4.5.1 is now shipping and is compatible, Universal Binary and bootable. Always good to have some 3rd party utility handy.
If you are just starting out, you probably don't have much if anything installed yet, so you may want to just erase your iMac drive and restore to what it was. That would be the easiest if Disk Utility won't repair it.
Instead of powering off the iBook, I would have tried to force quit whatever was running, like Migration Assistant.

Brand new nano, will not sync, still says do not disconnect

I have a brand new nano that does not seem to want to sync with my itunes. Each time I plug it in it asks me to name the iPod, which I do, then it says updating, do not disconnect. So once itunes is done updating the nano still says do not disconnect. So everytime I have to eject it properly and it never updates with the information from my itunes. It also has a bunch of orange space that it says is being used on the capacity bar and there is no information on the iPod. I have restored it back to factory settings and no luck... I have also taken it in to the Apple Genius Bar and they said it wad fixed and it wasn't so then they gave me a new one and it has the same problem...HELP!

I literally can't sync ANYTHING from my itunes to my BRAND NEW IPHONE4S

I can sync absolutely NOTHING to my idevice... This had NEVER happened before.

Why can't I finish reading some of the the books I bought in iBooks on my iPod touch 32GB? It's a brand new device and I synced it with my old iPod touch 16GB.

WWhy can't I finish reading some of my books I bought in iBook? I synced from my old 16GB IPOD TOUCH, I only get about a third or half the way through and it freezes.

Try:

Brand New iMac, Reset to Factory Settings, Fail Migration Assistant

OK well, this may be my faultbut anyway. I just purchased a new iMac 27-inch, then after unboxing it, I ranthe Migration Assistant from a Time Machine external hardrive, until whilemoving some furniture around, it came out, during the transfer process, about20 minutes it. I thought darn what do I do it was working away, and I though stupidlyof me that, I could just restart the machine and just go back to the beginningof the process. Well sadly not and now I have an account no password oranything so I cannot do anything. I went in to recovery mode by on boot usingCommand -R which presented me with some not very helpful options. Is there anyway in which I can just start fresh. Beginning of the Process, blank drives etc?

So what this would be the process
1. Boot using Command-R
2. Then in Disk Utility Erease the Hard-Drive
3. Then go to that clean fresh version of lion in the restore options
4. Then it should be fine?
or am I missing something, remmeber Mac Newbie,

Ipod resets during sync

I can't get a good sync with my 5g 30gb. while syncing, it will automatically reset itself. I've tried a repair with copy trans doctor and it does the same thing, so the operation will not finish.

I am getting ready to send my classic back as well. Are you waiting for them to fix it or just getting rid of it? I had the 80g Video & loved it. I don'tknow why I was in such a rush to get this one. I am thinking of sending it back & trying to find a Video some where. As much as this one drives me nuts, I still hate to be without one.
I guess what I am wondering is, do I hold out that they can improve the calssic or try to find a Ipod video somewhere?

Iphone4 frozen during syncing w/itunes and upgrade to ios5

Does anyone know how to fix a frozen iphone4. The screen just has a picture of the usb with an arrow to itunes. I've tried turning off the device to no avail.
I was syncing the device with itunes on laptop windows 7 to upgrade to ios5.
I would appreciate any suggestions or notes if you've experienced the same and what the resolution is, please.

I rang Apple and they told me to restore to factory defaults i.e. lose everything. I am going into an Apple store tomorrow, but I am not hopeful

I've got a new iphone4 and cannot sync with my old iphone (which I've backed up fully to my mac) help please!

My old iphone is fully synched to my mac but on trying to sync my new iphone 4 nothing happens. Well, i get the message that it's restoring the old iphone info (yes, I did set the sync to go to my backed up info rather than setting this as a new phone). help! should I have set this as a new phone rather than trying to sync my old one? v confused. ....

Ipod turns off/resets during syncing!

When I plug my ipod in it takes 5 min. for it to show up in itunes, then when I sync error 1602 shows up along with some others and it stops the syncing. If this doesn't happen then while it is syncing new music and such my touch restarts and occasionally turns off.....what can I do about this. I haven't had a succesful sync since I got it two months ago!

Can you tell if it is turning off, or just pausing playback? After it stops the music unexpectedly, if you press Play/Pause button, does it start playing again, or is it unresponsive (as it the power swtich is in the OFF position)?
If it does not start playing again by pressing Play/Pause, what do you need to do to get it to play again?
Do you use headpbones that have remote control buttons on the cord?
To rule out a problem with your headphone that is causing this problem, try using a difference set (any standard type), to see if the problem recurs.

Brand new iphone4, charging for 4 hrs only gone up 2%

Just bought an iphone4, took it out of box and batterypower was at 3%. Cant do anything because the phone kept shutting off. Plugged it in to charge it and its been 4 hrs (give or take) and its only gone up to 5%. Is it normal for it to take this long to charge???

Yes I am charging via a wall socket, I tried through my pc and it wasnt doing anything then almost 2 hours ago I plugged it into the wall socket and in almost 2 hrs it has gone from 3 to 5, I think I am going to have to take it back, this just seems way to long. Thanks for he reply's.
