My brand new ipod is recognized by itunes but will not sync.
My itunes is updated, and my computer software is compatible.
I have reset the ipod mulitple times.
HELP!!!!!!! Out of all my purchases with apple my ipod is the most used piece of equipment I have.

What hapens when you try to sync?
What the iPod setup via wifi or set up on another computer/iTunes library?
What method of syncing are yu using? Try the manual method

IPod classic recognized by iTunes, but does not sync properly...

When I sync (automatically or manually, I've tried both) my 160gb iPod on iTunes, the iPod says "Syncing" for a few moments before changing to "connected" (as if it were done syncing). My iTunes shows that the iPod is syncing, yet nothing happens.
I have reset my iPod, and restarted my notebook, but this problem seems to persist. I have not restored my iPod and/or removed iTunes and reloaded it, as both of these take significant time.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would go the restore route myself. Shouldn't take super long. Ya not quick, but sure beats not being able to sync it at all.

Bought a Brand New iPod touch, my entire music library WILL NOT SYNC (stuck on waiting for changes)

I just bought a new ipod touch, and I'm really struggling to not throw this thing against the wall.
My music won't sync. Its stuck on "Waiting for Changes to be applied"
Im not trying to sync anything else, no video, pictures, apps, anything. Just music. My old iPod touch syncs just fine. I can't restore it, because the restore takes it back to when I was setting the ipod up. I factory reset my ipod many times. I've tried manually syncing songs individually but it hangs on the same spot.
My mac is up to date, my ipod is up to date, my itunes is up to date. What the **** can I do?

I have been able to get SOME songs on by doing artist one by one. I also took off all album art. I have only 10 songs or so that I have bought so this is all my own stuff. You can update the itunes software and check, that should work.If not you can also try to reset the ipod.

Apple TV recognized by iTunes, but content not syncing

iTunes is recognizing Apple TV, and Apple TV is recognizing iTunes, but I cannot sync the two devices -- except "photos", which synced fine. In itunes, when I go to Apple TV, all I see is the "photos" tab, not movies or music or anything else. I have the shared option checked.
I don't know what else to do. All software is current.

My IPOD Classic 160GB is now not recognized by iTunes and will not sync

I have a 160GB IPOD Classic that now will not sync with iTunes. Both the iPod and iTunes have up to date software versions and I am connecting thru a MAcBook Pro running OS X 10.10.2. I have synced this iPod i the past with no problems and now it does not appear in the iTunes source list.
I have tried the rest options that the Troubleshooting guide suggested and now at a loss for the next step.

This is a problem caused by 10.10.2, only way to fix it at the moment is to revert to 10.10.1.
Quite a few threads on it on other sites and only that one solution. Make sure you raise a feedback to apple though.

I had this issue. Basically, iPhoto would recognize my iPod Touch and my wife's iPhone, but iTunes would not. Thus, I knew it was not the USB cable or ports.
In one forum, I tried something and it worked.
In Applications > Utilities > Activity Monitor, I stopped iTunes Helper.
Then I downloaded and reinstalled a fresh copy of iTunes.
Once I restarted iTunes and plugged in my devices, they appeared just like they used to.

New iPod Touch connected to wifi but will not open any browser

I just purchased an I pod touch w/ the software upgrade included, but the touch will not connect to a web browser through safari, youtube, or any internet based channels. I use a belkin router which is showing up under the settings in my iPod Touch. The connection is a 15meg DL and 1 meg UL so I don't believe that speed would be a problem. Please Help

Despite the WiFi connection sign you may not really be connected to your WiFi network.
Your router may not have given your iPod a valid IP address when the iPod requested it. To check on this go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the ">" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address shown starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix for this can be as simple as restarting your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPod (Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings) and then attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.
If you need more help please give more details on your network, i.e., your router make, model and version, the wifi security being used (WEP, WPA, WPA2), etc.

IPod 30GB Problems with iTunes 9; Will not sync iPod and freezes iTunes

Since I have updated to iTunes 9 on windows xp (and more recently iTunes 9.0.1) I have not been able to sync my 5th generation iPod 30gb.
What happens when I connect my ipod is that iTunes will instantly freeze and not allow me to do anything on it, but I am able to open other windows just not iTunes. After about 10 minutes iTunes will unfreeze briefly and claim to be syncing my iPod. Eventually after a further 10 minutes I am greeted with a message saying:
"The ipod 'HARRY'S iPOD" cannot be synced. An unknown error occured (-50)."

Also when I try to access my iPod through the window's explorer, when I try to enter any files I get the message "Please insert a disc into drive F:" followed by "F:\ Photos is not accesible. The parameter is incorrect"
I have no problems synicng my iPod Nano 4th Generation 16gb.
I've tried to revert to iTunes 8 after uninstalling iTunes 9 but when I do it wont let me open it saying it cannot read the file "Itunes Library.lib"
Does anyone have a clue where the problem is? And better still how to fix it?

Bought refurbished ipod classic, recognized by macbook, however will not sync.

-i created a new itunes library seperate from old ipod (so the 2 can both sync)
-i reinstalled itunes (however, was already at latest version)
-i factory reset ipod as i initially plugged it in
-after computer synced ipod, i ejected it and it did not contain any music
-plugged back in, have restored ipod at least 20 times in the past couple of days- nothing works
-the ipod screen when plugged in, is "connected" however rarely says "syncing" (when it does say "synching", it is only for a few seconds)

Ever since I updated to iOS 7, organization of my music is a nightmare. It is organized perfect on my iTunes, but will not sync properly to my phone. I signed up for iTunes Match hoping it would help and it only sent me further down the spiral.

Any changes I have made to my iTunes after the iOS 7 upgrade do not sync and it has even reorganized music I had before very poorly. iTunes Match made it worse. Now, I cannot even get into my music on the phone, it just tells me it can be synced from the Cloud. However, the Cloud apparently does not like my organization either. I just want the music on my phone to match how I have it organized on iTunes. This is driving me crazy. I am totally Team Apple, but this music thing is quickly turning my loyalty. My music is the main thing I use my phone for.

IPod Classic recognized by iTunes, but won't sync? (Windows 8)

iTunes recognizes it and I can go to the menu that displays the filled memory, options (enables disk use, sync only checked songs, etc.), and "sync" button. The iPod screen says that it is connected and charging, and it does not freeze. The computer doesn't have any issues; iTunes (11.0.0.163) doesn't crash or anything.
Everything seems fine, but when I click the "sync" button, nothing happens. I tried changing some settings and hitting "apply" instead to sync it, but that doesn't work either.
My computer is running Windows 8, and I've heard that some people have been having problems with using iTunes on this operating system. The only solution I've found is to make sure disk use is enabled, but that hasn't worked for me (it seems to only apply to newer models of iPod, not my Classic). I honestly don't know what I'll do if Windows 8 is incompatible with Classics because I just spent a lot of money on the iPod and this is the only computer I can use!
I'd love some help with this. Solutions are preferable of course, but even if you can just identify whether this is a problem with me/my computer or with Apple vs Windows, it'd be much appreciated! Thanks

What seems to have worked is checking "manually manage music and videos" and dragging all my music onto my iPod, instead of just letting the normal iTunes sync work.
I'm still upset about this, but as long as I can SOMEHOW get music on my iPod, I can wait until Apple fixes this problem. Which they better do.
