Brand new Macbook, bought games from the Apple store, won't install!!!!!!!!
Hello folks, I finally broke down and entered the "MacWorld". While visiting my local Apple Store, my son became engrossed in a couple of games that were available for play. After much begging, I bought him two, fun, educational games, both Mac ready. One game, the "School Zone Kindergarten" easily installed one disk (the "math" portion), no problem. However, the second disk (the "reading" portion), just clicked and made funny sounds and was kicked out without installing. I tried several times. The second game, "Sponge Bob Typing" does the same thing, whirrs and clicks around but doesn't install.
I'm guessing this is operator error (as usual), so could someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? I was told Mac's are super user friendly, so what gives? Does mine hate me or something? Please help! I have a pretty upset little boy staring at me here, with his big sweet brown eyes, like I'm supposed to be able to DO anything. It's killing me! Please help! And many, many THANKS!

In your case, and this is only my opinion, they will take the software back, since it's obvious it would not work and they said it would. Besides, you are a very good customer now
Anyway, what do you think is causing the glitch with the other game?
Since you have to go back to return the software, bring it all with you, along with the computer, and show the geniuses the problem.
You are covered for all this.
I think once you get things purring, you will be quite happy with your new acquisition, as well as your son.
Be very very sure to create a standard user account for your son. Keep your admin account for yourself.

Retrieving bought music from the apple store to iTunes
Does anybody know how to retrieve bought music from the apple store into your iTunes? I reinstalled iTunes and I can't seem to retrieve my music I bought from the store. Can anyone help?
When you reinstalled, did you erase the entire drive? If not, your music should still be in the iTunes folder in your Documents -> Music folder. Take a look there. If it's there, you can get it back into the iTunes library listing by using the Add to Library command and selecting the iTunes Music folder.

Sorry, Yes. The version for iOS devices is different than versions for the Mac OS

Like I said when I bought my mac in the apples store, iMovie was already included. When it comes time to upgrade it, it won't let me and it says to sign into the account I used to purchase it. But I didn't purchase it, it came along with the computer. How do I get it to upgrade?
Try opening the Mac App Store and go to the Purchases tab. See if you see the preinstalled iMovie App there. You may have to accept it into your Apple ID if you have not done so already. Then it should upgrade.

Where is the fix already? Logic Pro from the APP store won't install!
Who do you contact concerning an app store purchase that seems to be causing problems throughout the community with zero response from Apple as to the solution? I just bought Logic Pro (long time Logic Express user). It won't Install PERIOD - It is stuck in an endless loop of downloading the additional content required for it to run.
1) This 2.0G download completes -
2) I am prompted for my administrative password and Logic then closes.
3) When opening the app again - it wants to download again.
I have been through this twice. Reset permissions and rebooted before the second time. I have reinstalled Logic as well. APPLE! - Please tell me how to fix it or refund my money asap. And me having to do a bunch of jacking around with my system is NOT the answer.Update:

has all the individual download packages, and on the second try, I was able to install the big "additional pro content" package from here. No guarantees, but at least you only need to download each one once, so if it fails you don't have to wait again.

My question is specific and refers to the fact that I am interested in purchasing a macbook pro retina from the apple store online but reside in the city of Lima. What I need to know if I can buy it from Lima but registering a product delivery address in the United States that is where I come.
I would appreciate if they could absolve my question and in advance, thank you very much ...The Apple store in the US only ships to shipping addresses associated with a billing address on a credit card in the US.

Downloading from the apple store. invalid address?
I am trying to download some games from the Apple store but everytime I click on Apple Store it says "To continue I need to upgrad to the lastest versions of IOS and the Apple Store app. So I click upgrade. Then it says Cannot open page : "Safari cannot open the page because the address is invalid." What can I do to correct this?

Identifying iPod models -
I bought an iPhone 5 from the Apple store with a new Sprint contract in Sept. 2012. I would like to know if I port my number to T-mobile and pay off my Early Termination fee with Sprint, will my iPhone 5 will be unlocked to use with T-mobile network?
As Ethmoid says, it is still a CDMA phone as I told you earlier, and it will not work with t-mobile. Even if Sprint unlocked the phone, it would only unlock the GSM side for international use. They will not unlock the GSM side for domestic use in the US.

Apple has had similar offerings every year, to which they always establish a time interval for elligibility. I've not seen where they give credit to prior sales on the education perks. -
I have purchased a iPad mini online from the Apple store. Since day one I had 2 issues with it. First is that the battery life doesn't last more than 5-6h active usage, and the second one is with the wi-fi. It works properly but after I leave it for a while in sleep mode and try to reuse it, it doesn't want to open a web page or app store or mail (anything connected with the internet search) but it shows that is properly connected with my home network. So I have to turn off the wi-fi connection and turn it on again so it start to work properly. After couple off days this becomed very annoying so I contacted the support via phone and they gave me instructions for return it and that I'll receive a new one without aditional fee. I get the second device in the predicted time but again I have the same issues with the wi-fi and battery life. I will be pleased if someone from the Apple expert team explaine to me what should I do, because I dont find it for normal what is happening. On the Apple official site under the specifications for iPad mini it says that the battery lasts for at least 10h and the wi-fi problem isn't mentioned anywhere. Thanks in advance.

If you want someone from Apple to explain what you should do make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one near you and take your iPad there and talk to Apple.
