Brand new MacBook Pro keeps crashing on me. Why?
I don't know what to do with this. I just took delivery of this MacBook Pro today and it's crashed almost a dozen times on me. I could be browsing a page, downloading software updates, or just walk away from it. Not sure if this is what y'all need, but here is part of the panic log:

Please help!
Are you connecting via wireless? If so, try turning the Airport off on the MBP, and connect via wired ethernet if possible. If that works, read up on this thread:
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=389962&tstart=0
But in any case, you'll probably have to take / send it back.

Brand new Macbook Pro keeps crashing and restarting - Mavericks
Hey guys, I just got a new Macbook Pro on Monday and my first time turning it on it was perfect, the next day I turned it on and kept crashing and "Restarting due to a problem", it wouldn't even make to to the log in page. Every time I power it up now I get the same issue over and over, once I make it passed the log in it is usually fine but does crash sometimes randomly but not much.
I have read here that updating to Mavericks has caused this problem but surely when it came with it and is less than a week old it should be fine? (I'm confused as to why the report says my Mac is Mid 2012, I just bought it!!) Also the only software I have installed is Microsoft Office. I do have Silverlight Plug in installed for Netflix which I read can be an issue with Mavericks.
I downloaded EtreCheck and this is the report I have. Please any help will be great!

Brand new MacBook Pro keeps crashing Pro Tools 10
I have a brand new Mac Book Pro (1month old) running Pro Tools 10. It was working perfectly until yesterday. Now when i open up Pro Tools and try to insert Virtual Instruments plug-ins onto a track the software crashes. I find this so strange because i had been using it for every day last 20 days with no problems at all and then suddenly it starts to crash every other second.
I'm running Mac OS X 10.7.4 on MacBook Pro 15' i7 16gb ram. I upgraded my RAM two weeks ago so i don't think that's the problem.. I've runned ''remember'' test on my RAM and it passed it.
I have already posted on dedicated Pro Tools forums about this issue but i thought i could just as well put this here since many of the users here know so much about these kind of matters.
Every time Pro Tools crashes it leaves me error code.. I uploaded it on Dropbox for anyone who wants to look at it :
https://www.dropbox.com/s/i0bds1ixuhxnr9r/ProTools%20Error%20Code.txtI found 2 by looking around, it's likely that you have more since I don't have Pro Tools installed. The ones I found are at:
hard drive:Library:Audio:Plug-Ins:Components
and
hard drive:Library:Application Support:ProMediaIO:Components
I'd look through the Application support folder and see what you find, also if Pro Tools has a folder look in that, check any audio folder (search for "audio" without the quotes) -
Brand new macbook pro keeper keeps freezing
Hello,
I got a brand new macbook pro less than a week ago and already it is acting up. It keeps making these clicking sounds that seem to originate from the top right corner of the keyboard (where the power button is). Also, I'm constantly getting the spinning rainbow wheel, even though the only applications I have open are pages and safari. When the spinning wheel starts, I can't even access force quit. I tried rebooting my computer but things are still freezing (even now I'm getting the wheel every couple of words that I type). This is all very frustrating. I feel like this shouldn't be happening, especially based on how much I paid for this computer. I also tried running the 'verify disk permissions' in disk utility and it came up with a bunch of problems (I don't know if that's normal or not)
Help?Make an appointment online at the Genius Bar of your local Apple Store and take it in. They should be able to get you going.

Brand New MacBook Pro keeps freezing
I have had my brand new MacBook Pro for about four months now and out of the blue, it will freeze up for about a minute or so randomly with no warning. I have run Disk Utility already along with restarting it, but it still freezes. Any ideas on to what is causing it?
Thanks!
DaveImpossible to say without any information. You may want to keep Activity Monitor open (Applications-Utilities-Activity Monitor) and see if there is anything that uses a lot of % CPU and/or RAM. Check to see how much free RAM you have, if it's below 500MB that could be a problem, it simply means you are using all the available RAM.
Your machine is covered by the warranty too, so you may want to visit your local Apple Store and have a Genius look it over.
BTW when posting a problem, please let us know exactly what you are doing when the problem occurs, including what apps, version numbers etc. and specifics about your computer. Something like, "Yesterday afternoon and this morning while using Excel (Office 2011) on my 2010 15" MBP with 4GB RAM and 500GB HD my system......" That way we have the who, what and when.

New Macbook Pro keeps crashing/freezing when connected through wireless
Recently picked up a new Macbook Pro this past Friday. Everything worked great in the office throughout the day connected via ethernet cable. On the weekend when using the wireless connectivity it kept freezing, until I turned off the wireless and used a cable connection. Everytime I try to use wireless it will freeze up after a few minutes, ball spinning and have to eventually power off and on.
When I use a wired connection did not get the problem even once. Is this a known issue? Does this sound like a hardware problem with the Airport hardware? Since I just got it this past Friday I'm taking it back but in case there is a quick software fix please let me know.
It's a stock Macbook Pro (MacBookPro5,3) with 4 gig and the 2.66Ghz processor.HI,
Try deleting this file.
com.apple.airport.preferences.plist
MacintoshHD/Library/Preferences/System Configuration
If you are using a router / cable modem try turning off, wait about 20 seconds and reconnect and restart the Mac. If you are using an Airport Express or Airport BS, try restarting. You could also try a different channel.
Open AirPort Utility, located in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder on a computer using Mac OS X.
Select the device you’re setting up, and then click Manual Setup. Enter the base station password if necessary
Click AirPort in the toolbar, and then click Wireless.
Choose a new channel from the Channel pop-up menu.
Repair disk permissions also.
Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

My new 1 day old MacBook Pro keeps crashing and freezing, why is this?
I bought this yesterday. It has now started turning off, freezing on various pages, having glitches in the screen. looks like programming type appears on the screen at random times. What is wrong?
Return the machine and get a new unit. You have 14 days from date of purchase to exchange the machine or get a full refund. You obviously got a lemon - exchange it for a new machine.
Good luck,
Clinton

New Macbook Pro keeps crashing
I just got this computer yesterday and since then I have had at least nine kernel panics and I cannot apply the latest Mac OS X update from apple. I ran the Verify Disk and Check and Repair Permissions and those all check out fine. The Reported amount of RAM is also correct. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do?
It crashed again ! I am running out of patience for this computer. I thank you for any assistance you provide.

Hi, since the last two weeks my new MacBook Pro keeps crashing at least twice everyday and not sure what the problem is. I thought the problem was first caused by Google Chrome as my MacBook always crashed when I was browsing the net, but even after I switched to Safari it is still crashing. Below is a copy of the crash report, would appreciate it greatly if anyone can help me out. Thanks.

com.apple.kec.corecrypto 1.0Hi, 'com.bresink.driver.BRESINKx86Monitoring' appears to be from 'Temperature Monitor' which I thought I had uninstalled (still adjusting to using a mac).
I have tried safe mode but the crashing is not always constant, it only happens now and then when I'm browsing the Internet and can happen at anytime, but it does crash atleast 2-3 times per day which is why I need help sorting out the problem.
Below is another crash report which happened earlier today:

Aperture 3.1.3 crashes on opening. Running Lion on brand new MacBook Pro
I have a brand new MacBook Pro (8GB RAM, i7 Core, running Lion) and am using 3.1.3 Aperture. I have same issue as some others have mentioned elsewhere in the forum - Aperture is no longer opening, all I get is an error message. A few days ago, Aperture opened just fine (I was running Lion with the 3.1.3 version of Aperture then too), but now for whatever reason it is not. I've tried removing the preferences list (com.apple.Aperture.plst), rebooting, reinstalling the update (3.1.3), and still nothing. Any thoughts? Thank you!
Guess I should've done a little more research before I posted this but, found this, which did the trick:
For those with the same problem:
1. Navigate to: /Library/Frameworks/PluginManager.framework/Versions/B/PluginManager
2. Delete the PluginManager
3. Get a new copy of the PluginManager. (You can copy one from a friends macbook) or use the one hosted here: http://qvenon.com/files/PluginManager.zip -
Brand New MacBook Pro 15" Retina Crashing
Just bought a new MacBook Pro. Crashes frequently when casually surfing with any browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari. Been to the Genius Bar. Genius looked for problems, didn't find any. I try clearing all browsing data, and eventually wind up restarting; sometimes it crashes and restarts itself. Next step is to leave the machine at the Apple Store overnight for extensive diagnostic testing. I don't think I should be saddled with a non-functional machine for upwards of $2500. Thoughts?
Yes, thanks, exactly. They want to run diagnostics to try to fix. So I'll give them a shot at it. If that doesn't work, I will demand a replacement.

Brand new Macbook Pro freezes after iTunes-update??
Updated itunes to 10.5.1 last night and now itunes and my brand new Macbook Pro freezes whenever I open iTunes. I got it last week and it has worked perfectly, but now it freezes and has trouble finding the wifi. What to do?? Can I somehow undo the update?
Is this Java based game Runescape? I experience the same crashes, ive tried using other things in-game other than the OpenGl and i still experience crashes, much more often when i have iTunes running while trying to play. Ive never had problems like this before, even while using older computers with much less memory, etc.. This is my first mac and id have to say it's not leaving a good impression. I planned to be able to play some games on this and consider Runescape requires very low CPU this is kind of sad that a Mac can't process it without crashing. Ive been reading lots of similar posts online and it sounds like Apple should be worried more about customer satisfaction than their own stocks. Hope something works out soon!!

Finder stuck on Music folder on brand new MacBook Pro Retina
I've recently switched from Windows to Mac. The brand new MacBook Pro has been having issues ever since I got it, crashed during its first install/set up, etc. But until now, I could always figure things out. Now I accidentally clicked on my music folder (bad idea, I know), but finder is now crashed and I don't seem to be able to find a solution anymore.
I have tried relaunching the app, but since the music folder crashes, that is of no help. I have tried killall Finder through the terminal, but that crashed (presumably - I just quit terminal after 30min of nothing happening but the progress wheel spinning away), I tried rebooting without relaunching apps (several times), but it either crashes on trying to shut down (hard shut down after 30min) or restarts with the two darn finder windows open. I am at my wits' end.Yes, that's why I just wanted to make sure it's normal...
Aside from that, nothing else seems wrong with the laptop and it seems like a hassle to go through if it's normal to have some battery cycles on a new Macbook.
Has anyone heard of resellers such as MacMall resealing returned laptops and selling them as new? Has anyone else noticed a high cycle count on their brand new Macbook? -
Startup disk almost full for brand new Macbook Pro with Mavericks
I recently purchased a brand new Macbook Pro Retina that runs on Mavericks. I keep getting a message saying that my start up disk is almost full, even though I have almost no files on the hard drive other than whatever was pre-installed by Apple. Does anyone know how to resolve this problem?
OmniDisksweeper can help you find what's hogging your disk space, or help determinie if this is a bogus message.

It will void your warranty if Apple finds out that you have made this modification. But if you ever have a need to use the Apple warranty you should put the optical drive back in before taking it to an Apple store for the warranty work.

Managing OS updates on Multiple Systems running 10.8
I'm looking for a solution, perhaps someone here will have a workaround or an option that I have missed or overlooked. We have several 10.8.x machines on our corp network. I noticed since 10.8 the Software Updates are pushed through the AppStore but
