Brand New x100e Battery will not charge above 97%
Hi,
I received my BRAND NEW x100e yesterday and I charged the battery to full once. After that I used an hour or two of battery life then plugged the laptop back in. Now the charge meter will not go above 97% (it's been stuck under 97% for hours and it's been plugged in). I have tried restarting the computer.
Please assist!
Thanks!

You'll want to reset your SMC (System Management Controller). Instructions are simple:

New computer, battery will not charge
Hello,
I just bought my new HP Dv6-6167 cl Entertainment PC from Sam's Club Yesterday morning. As soon as I brought my computer home I quickly realized that the only way computer would turn on or work is if I had it plugged in, and even then my battery would not, and will not, charge.Thank you, I actually went to Sam's and it turned out I had their last computer like this and they told me that I had to get a hold of HP and order a new battery. I am going to try removing the device and rebooting my computer right now. I just bought the lap top and i have a warranty on it. So, if this does not work how will I go about re ordering a new battery.. should I call HP?

Brand newYoga 13, Battery will not charge
I purchased a Yoga 13 yesterday and over the last 24 hours the battery has not charged. Based on other posts I found I reinstalled the energy management software to no avail. I have updated to windows 8.1 plus checked that drivers are up to date. It just says "Plugged in and charging" with no %. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

New iPod touch will not charge or sync
brand new ipod touch will not charge or sync with my computer, i tried all different kinds of cables but nothing is working, help!
See:
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
I would start with
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
Run this to help if it identifies the cause
iTunes for Windows: Device Sync Tests
Have you tried on another computer to help determine if you have a computer or iPod problem? -
Any ideas on how to fix ipad after the new iOS 7 update? My battery will not charge, my ipad is hot to the touch, the iTunes Store won't open, and my messages on Facebook aren't showing up when I chat and pintrest won't pin to my boards.
If you have all your music on the cmputer then i would connect up my phone uncheck the Sync Music option and apply.
This should take all the music off your phone .Then you can resync the music back on to it.
If this doesn't work maybe a restore to factory settings and start from scratch is the way to go -
New battery will not charge - have we missed something obvious?
My DD has just replaced the battery on her PB. When the power supply (less than 3 months old) is attached, the led shows amber but the battery will not charge. I've tried reseating the battery with no effect. Since I purchased it from an apple dealer, I'll be taking it back tomorrow, but I wondered whether there is something obvious we've missed.
Thanks
JenniferThank you both. Yes I know the battery needs to be calibrated, but as you say, to calibrate, you need to charge, which is a non-starter. I'm going to take the whole thing in (again). I suspect the problem that led to the battery needing to be replaced possibly dealt a death blow to something inside. I don't know whether this is relevant, but before replacing the battery, the charger started to make a loud buzzing noise (I understand - I wasn't here), and with the old battery in place the PB kept freezing and/or rebooting. Only with the battery out and just the power supply in would the PB work. The PB is seeing the new battery, it just wont charge it. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything else I could do before taking it in.

Had Genius Bar install a new battery as the old one was not charging. New Apple installed battery will not charge either. Light on T-connector always shows green even after SMC reset and battery will not charge. Any ideas?
Bring it back to Apple, they may have not seated the cable/connector correctly, or the cableconnector has an issue, or there is a problem with the charging circuit. Bring in your power adaoter with you as well. Apple repairs come with 30 day warranty

My brand new Ipad 2 is not charging the battery with py PC thru USB. Is that normal? When I plug it directly into the wall, it works... Thanks! Sam
It talks extensively about charging in the user guide, and how USB ports on PCs and older Macs may not provide sufficient power to charge the iPad. The user guide is available for free from the iBook store (accessed directly via the iPad iBooks app).
My iPad charges fine when plugged in to the back of my iMac, but I would always prefer to use the mains adaptor to save the strain on my USB circuits (which can wear out if used heavily to power external devices). -
Droid X battery will not charge when phone is in vehicle mount
Droid X battery will not charge when phone is in vehicle mount. If you plug phone directly in to car charger it charges fine. This makes using the GPS virtually useless as it runs down the battery very fast. Anyone else have this problem. Other wise I love the phone.
Many of the Verizon Droid X car mounts have defective wires in them. This problem is widely reported on many forums and websites. You should return your product for a brand new replacement that is not defective (that is, the car charger will charge your Droid X when it is in the car mount).
I happen to love the Verizon Droid X car mount. Lot of ways to adjust it from different angles for different placements. Just get a Verizon Droid X car mount replacement that does not have defective wires in it, and it should work just fine! -
Satellite L500 - Battery will not charge
Hello,
I am hoping someone can help me. I have a L500 and all of a sudden my battery will not charge. As soon as I unplug the laptop from the power it shuts off. I have also tried another battery (although not a brand new one) and that battery will not charge also. The battery is currently on 8% and wont charge further, but also will not stay on when unplugged. Has anyone else had this problem, or know what I can try?
ThanksHi buddy,
Can you charge the battery when you turn off the notebook?
Do you use the original Toshiba AC/DC adapter?
For me it sounds like a hardware malfunction I mean if you have already tried another battery with the same result it seems that something is wrong with charging control on mainboard. This would mean the mainboard or another hardware parts needs replacing. This can be done from an authorized service provider. -
New iPad 3 will not charge from a mac. need help on that
my new ipad 3 will not charge from a mac. need help why if any one knows? thk
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. My new iPad mini will not charge when plugged into adapter. Any suggestions?
my new ipad mini will not charge when plugged into adapter. What should I try?
Does the charger get warm at all? Plug the cable into your computer with iTunes open. Does it say not charging.? If it does, the cable is good. The iPad will charge very slowly when pluged into your computer.
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
