Branding Image

Please help, did anyone manage to change the branding image (SAP NetWeaver) in the initial logon screen? We are thinking of using different logon image for different Web Dynpro projects. Thanks.

Problem in changing branding image.

Hi all,
I have a problem in changing the branding image for portal logon page.
To my knowledge I have the change the image file under
\usr\sap\EPD\JC0\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\portalapps\com.sap.portal.runtime.logon\layout
But to my surprise I am not able to see gthe com.sap.portal.runtime.logon folder in the server.
Can somebody suugest me what might be the reason.Is it any problem with the versions or something?

It is:
\usr\sap\EPD\JC0\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\com.sap.security.core.admin\servlet_jsp\logon\root\layout\
You can do a simple search for branding-image.jpg from \usr\sap\EPD\JC0\j2ee\cluster\server0 to find the location. You can change the location or name in the config tool.

Portal logon screen customization: size of branding image

Hi Experts,
1. the portal log on image should be changed to custom image. i replaced the branding image in D:\usr\sap\DP1\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\com.sap.security.core.admin\servlet_jsp\logon\root\layout
and cleared the cache and refreshed the screen. the new image is seen. But i placed an image over 25kb (standard branding-image.jpg) size, it is not shown. is this the standard behaviour?
2. i would like to change the "Welcome" text, what is the best method to change.
I changed the test in D:\usr\sap\EPD\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\com.sap.security.core.admin\servlet_jsp\logon\root\WEB-INF\classes
in logonLabels_en.properties file.
3. what is the way to change "SAP Netweaver Portal Internet Explorer" on the logon screen which appears on the interenet explorer top left corner!
i am on NW2004s SP11. EP7.0 SP11

Hi,
When you want to chane the text appering on top of Internet explorer, do following things,
Go to System administrator-->system config --> In detail navigation panel, find Service configuration --> open it --> Open Portal runtime --> right click on central configuration > configure>find property named portal.html.head.title here enter any text you want and restart the J2EE engine.
2)You want to change "Welcome" text to say "welcome to my company", in this case you have done changes in logonlables_en properties, Now you have to again create the umelogonbase.zip file and then change the extension to .jar now replace this file in your PAR file project in NWDS, then deploy the project,
Once this is done, In your NWDS project find portalapp.xml file and click on default component and run, see if changes are appearing..if this is successfull, then its time to change the authschemes.xml file.
IF you have done with all this then please update the thread, we will proceed with authschemes file.

SAP brand Image change in Login Page of portal

Hi All,
Currently we are using Portal 7.0 SP6 version.
we have a requirement to change the SAP standard brand image in the login page of portal with the our customer logo,
We have the only requirement to change the sap brand image ( which is -the person is writing something on standing- this is sap brand image-at left side of login page) in the login page, which we need to change to our customer image
Please provide supported documents and links for the same then it would be great help to me.

Go to the file path
\usr\sap\J2E\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com
2. Open the folder
a. com.sap.security.core.admin
b. Navigate Till root folder through servlet-jsp/logon
c. Inside the root go to Layout folder
d. In the Layout folder there exists those branding images
e. Replace the branding Image (Keeping the same name of ur image as that of the existing one ).
3. Restart the J2ee engine and the Portal .
are the above steps will work out to change just the brand image in the logon screen

By default it will show the responsibility function name
My requirement is after company logo I want to add Text at the top of application
with center align

Custom logon's PAR w/config branding image and branding text.....

Hi all,
I have changed the configuration of the logon's branding-image and branding-text through their properties on the config tool. With the standard logon all works fine, but I have customized the logon's PAR and I Have changed the authscheme.xml, and now, the images that i have changed don't appear on the screen. I just want to know if there is a way to fix this changing only the properties on the config tool (as the stadard does) or as i have changed the standard logon's PAR to a Custom logon's PAR, I must manage this images within this new custom logon's PAR?. Please help, thanks for watching

Branding image logon screen

Hi all,
I changed images in par file using netweaver developer studio and uploaded.
i changed .xml file in config file with new par file. I restarted server and typed URL in the browser i am able to see the logon screen but there is no images appear.
How to sesolve this problem?

I have given the answer for ur question which u have posted in portal implementation.
just follow the code what i have given there.it will work.its working for me.
are u getting blank space or some icons (like multiply) in that images space.
First check whether changes take effect or not in NWDS itself by running the project thro poralapp.xml then go for server change the authschemes.xml and restart it.
Very importantly check that u have all the images in the layout folder and you used correct names in ur coding.Try to follow my code.

Customozing Branding Image and Branding text on Logon UI of EP

Hello Everybody,
I am customizing the Logon user Interface of EP6.0 SP9. I have modified the Par file and put new images in the Layout folder of Portal-Inf.I modified the UmlogobBotArea.txt file and changed the saplogo.gif with xyz.gif. I also replaced the branding_image.jpg and branding-text.gif with respective files(for e.g. abc.jpg and lmn.gif). Now when i restarted the server i am getting the saplogo.gif replaced with xyz.gif but there is no change in the Branding Image and branding text, it appears the same as before, even after i have changed the file names in UmlogobBotArea.txt. Can anyone plz guide me from where i can replace branding_image.jpg and branding-text.gif from the Logon UI.Help is also required on how to change the Logon Page color from Blue to White, which file needs to be modified for that.

A bit more addition
After uploading the renamed autheschemes you have to go to System Admin>>System Config>> Um Config>> Direct Editing..
There you have to set the login.authschemes.definition.file property to the new name given to the authschemes.xml.
Then restart the server.

Branding Image - Dynamic Width?

Hi there
Is it possible to dynamically set the width of the branding image?
I have designed an image which looks nice on my screen, but that's clearly too big for the user's machine. I can set the width lower in the theme editor, but then when you use a bigger screen size / resolution, doesn't look the same, so would be nice if I could cater for multiple resolutions?
Can you set the width to a percentage?

Portal Branding image-Front Screen

Hi,
I would like to place a image(company logo) in place of the standard EP logo provided by SAP in the Login screen. i,e Logon Branding Image.
Could anyone help me on how to do this. I changed the logo name in Direct Editing path as well.
I need to know where to place the .jpeg file in the File directory like c:/XXX/YYY.
Any help would be appreciated.

1) Go to Administration -> System Configuration ->
UM Configuration -> Direct Editing.
2)Change the following entry to match your
image or change the brandingimage.jpg:
ume.logon.branding_image=/logon/layout/mybranding.jpg
3) The correct path where to save the file would be:
<Drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\JC<Instance_Nr>\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\com.sap.security.core.admin\servlet_jsp\logon\root\layout

This topic may sound very common to you al but i have tried soem basic steps but no success so i am posting this thread.
I want to change branding image of portal log on page.
I have navigated to this path.

and replaced my image with existing one i mean i have removed the default image from this folder and pasted needed image.
Reatsrted server but no success.
What can i do for changes to take effect.

Try these options
The images on the logon screen are hosted in the web server area for your WebAS 6.40, you can change it in two ways:
Option 1:- Connect to to server where the Portal WebAS is running and go to:
(drive):\usr\sap\SID\JCNN\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\com.sap.security.core.admin\servlet_jsp\logon\root\layout
There you will find the images used on logon screen, you can replace them for your company images, please take care with the width of the images, as usual, to make this change effective, you must restart the whole WebAS.
Note: each time you upgrade the WebAS (install a new SPS) these images willbe overwritten, so take it into account in order to replace it again after upgrade.
Option 2:
- Connect to the Portal's WebAS Visual Administrator
- Go to "Global Configuration" -> Server -> Services -> UME Provider
- look for following properties: ume.logon.branding_image and ume.logon.branding_text
- Change the image location for the desired one, but be sure the new images are present on a web server location over the WebAS

Product Branding Image does not appear

Hi,
I created a simple OA page.
Added 'productBranding' to the 'PageLayoutRegion'.
I set the value of Image URI to FNDTAPPBRAND.gif as mentioned in the "Search" Tutorial.
When I run the page,the image does not appear.
Only the image associated with the Corporate Branding apear on the page
How can I solve it?

You need to check the profile FND : Branding Size, if it is set to Regular or Medium we render the product branding image. If it is set to small then you need to define a formatted text which will be displayed to save the space. There are other ways of setting branding, read the Branding information in the dev guide.

Page Layout components : corporate branding image and copyright

i am using R12 and my page consists of a table and the corporate branding image and copyright but because the table has many columns it spans along with the scroll but the problem is that the page layout line and copy right does not span with the table and stops in the middle
the page is not looking good at all...
i have tried so much with the width of the regions but no solution because i can't find a width for the page layout components.
please need help

Its a framework standard to have the footer only to fit the width of the page. You won't find many pages which has a horizontal scroll and if they have, another issue you will have is the printing of the page.

How to changing branding image

hello all
can any one help me to change the branding image in login page because.i tried a lot by changing jsp file in pcd directory and moving my image to irj/root directory, but one thing i obzerved is previously my image is directing to logon/layout directory but now it is directing to /irj/root directory but image which is presnt in that dir is not displaying.
so,plzz can any one give me the exact procedure for changing the branding image in enterprise portal login page.

In addition to the steps mentioned by Robert you have to edit the authschemes.xml file to display your custom branding image.
In order to achieve this,follow these steps
1. Launch the configtool from /usr/sap/instance/JC00/j2ee/configtool.
2. Switch to edit mode.
3. In the tree, navigate to cluster_data->server->persistent->com.sap.security.core.ume.service
4. Switch to edit mode and in the tree choose authschemes.xml.
5. Choose download and save the file to local directory.
6. Open the file in wordpad.
7. In the file, rename all occurrences of the string com.sap.portal.runtime.logon with your custom name for the par file in the tags and save the file.
8. Restart the portal
Your application should work perfectly now.
