Bravo to RIM on 10.0.9B44. Don't let down now.
Having installed OS10.0.9 Bundle 44 on the Dev Alpha and having loaded my development apps to test functionality, I am supremely surprised at the refinement of OS 10 to-date. Bravo on this accomplishment-- there certainly are few rival operating systems that have built on lessons learned of 7 operating system iterations. One of the largest lessons it would seem RIM has learned is that the "80/20 model" inhibits success given the relative competition and the waves of high expecting consumers. RIM has successfully convinced me that many major corporate lessons have been adopted and rolled into BB10 and it only took 35 minutes on Dev Alpha install and 5 minutes of interpreting the look and feel of the new operating system to win my nod.
RIM has been known as a pioneer in smart phones. The approach to releasing BB10 is certainly well calculated and carefully positioned. They have shown a fighting spirit and have been unrelenting in their pursuit for a well balanced device.
It's difficult to imagine the QNX engine behind all this seamless integration. RIM certainly has come a long way from Playbook OS1, OS 2, to BB10. At one point, I did question the numerical leap from 7 to 10, however today I see that it is well warranted.
Congratulations on accomplishing this milestone. Please keep up the intensity, keep up the pace, the support, the development, the fine tuning, and a winner cerainly is in the sights. As we're all nearing the eve of Thursday's conference call, best wishes to you.
I am really happy with this update It's huge thing for whole developers community. We actiually can feel the spirit of Blackberry 10 OS. Thank you RIM

Understood, the difference with iTunes being that Apple doesn't (currently) require you to enter any account info on the device until you try to purchase something from their store. Initial setup is just a connection to the iTunes software and you're good to go.
While I understand that RIM wishes the account to be defined, they also need to be aware that doing so during the initial setup without proving an option to do it later, while failing to provide any means to change it afterwards (short of a device wipe) doesn't always suit the the situation. Hopefully they'll be reviewing the forums to gather feedback that they can incorporate into future software updates.

What does the error say?
A couple of thoughts: the file is corrupted or is password-protected. Corruption is more likely to cause Numbers to crash & Numbers cannot open password-protected Excel files. Try using one of the free Office clones & see what happens. -
I performed a software update and the system is installing an update but it has been running for over 24hrs and keeps saying "This may take a few minutes, don't shut down your computer" Can anyone help?
Hello cor-el, thanks for your reply. I changed my settings for downloads to desktop and it has appeared on there. When I double click I am asked which program I want to open file. I click firefox and another box "opening install" says I have chosen to open the file which is an application and do I want to save it. This is the only real option so I press save file. I get a box saying this is an executable file which may contain viruses - do you want to run. I press ok and the final box showing C drive file name and desktop appears stating application not found.
This happens the same whenever I try to install.
To my untrained eye the application is not being recognised as an application and I cannot work out how to get it to do that.
My plugin is still showing as out of date.
Is there anything you could suggest. Thanks for your time. -

Peferling... I have a positive update! I went to the area that typically made things die. I noticed it was at the tail end of where I inserted a sequence into another sequence. I also noticed I had three tracks in that section with graphics. So I copied all the tracks from the inserted sequence... then removed the inserted sequence and re-inserted the actual tracks. At this point I no longer had an inserted sequence. I then simplified the three tracks of graphics into one. Re-applied my transitions and did last tweaking. I once again tried exporting as H.264 HD... et voila! It worked! Something must have been breaking it.
For now I'm okay and have been able to export into other formats. I want to thank you so much for your input. Regards, Nelson -

You can't get around it. It must be restore using iTunes on a computer. If you don't have access to one, make an appointment at the genius bar of your local Apple Store.

Sometimes CS6 don`t let us paint/draw on some IDs of a 3D Model (DAE imported from 3Ds Max) without any Reason. Is there a Shortcut for freezing IDs on 3D Models?
We didn`t had that Problem CS4. Its happening without any Reason. While we are painting Textures on a Model its suddenly "freezes" the Polys with certain IDs. The IDs where putted in 3ds Max. Anyone know this Problem or may have a Solution for this? We tried a lot but couldn`t find a Solution. The only Thing we can do is reimporting the 3d Model again. Than it will work for a while till this Problem comes up again.
