I am trying to execute "CheckDB" & "Update Statistics" in DB13, and
getting following error:

This is telling me nothing.
You do not show the authorizations for the program.
The group is NOT correct.
It may be that in that server, instead of setting the correct authorizations for the BR*Tools you change the authorization of the destination folder.

Please check the highlight part of attached note 442395 to solve this
issue:
BR0989W Unknown tablespace %s defined in table %s.%s
BR0989W Unbekannter Tablespace %s definiert in Tabelle %s.%s
Explanation: A tablespace that does not exist in the database was
specified in the TAORA, IAORA or TSORA table. The ABAP Dictionary uses
these tables when creating new database objects. Based on these tables,
BRCONNECT checks in multi component databases (MCOD, see Note 379572)
whether objects of different schemes are contained in the same
tablespace - this can cause problems with the tablespace Point-In-Time
Recovery.
User reaction:Correct the incorrect entries in tables TAORA and IAORA
with transaction SE16. Delete the entries if the relevant
tablespace does not exist or change the TABSPACE field if
the tablespace was defined with an incorrect name.

ORA -01115 error in db13 checkdb

Hi expert ,
i am new to this fouram i have ora-01115 error in sap oracle 9i database ,
Please help me to solve the problem .
I am using ECC 5.0 ,win2k3 enterprise edition ,Oracle 9i
could anybody explain me what the relation of oracle block segment ,and windows block segment .
Could i solve the problem without reinstalling sap .
Please explain me in detail following paragraph ,which i read ,
 a corrupted database due the auto extended bug

 Entire contents of block is zero - block never written
 Reread of block=24024cd0 file=9. blocknum=150736. found same corupted Data
 Mishandled block information (in certain conditions), upon reading the database block, which indicates that a good block is corrupted. This is the bug in the Oracle version 8.1.x - 9.x, where the Oracle will raise the error:
ORA-600 [kcoapl_blkchk][ABN][RFN][INT CODE]
Pointing to failure condition during block check. This only happens when block checking is enabled.
 A problem with a faulty database trigger operation, causing data block corruptions

Hi experts ,
Regarding ORA 0600 ,the error which i found in db13 of 000,pls guide me in details as i am fresher basis consultant working in production enviorment.
I am pasting the check db log in db13 ,pls guide me if any problem is found.
Note that
1) i run sick tcode which shows no error report in the system .
2)I have configured stms ,
3)imported profiles from rz10 tcode from os level to sap level .
4)Created new client logged and doing local client copy but it cancelled every times .
In scc3 log it show different errors ,in sm21 log it show diffrerent errors .
It does not show ora 600 error anywhere in the logs ,but when i tried to check consistency of database through CHECKDB it show ora -600 error .
Hi experts pls tell me if required sm21 and and scc3 logs

Db_block_checksum

Hi All,
In one of my system, there is a warning in brconnect check with regard to db_block_checksum :
BR0978W Database profile alert - level: WARNING, parameter: DB_BLOCK_CHECKSUM, value: TRUE (<> FALSE)
I had check db17, the setting value in FALSE. So i assume that if the parameter in the db is set to TRUE, i will get this warning message. In oracle when i "show parameters db_block_checksum", the return value is TRUE
My question is
1) This same setting applied to all my other 7 servers. However, i only get this warning in one of the server, what happen to other servers? Why this warning does not appear in the other servers?
2)In OSS, SAP recommend the value to be set to FALSE so that it will not cause any performance issue. How do I set the value from TRUE to FALSE?

"Turning off this feature is up to each customer. SAP recommends in the standard parameter notes to enable checksums by removing the db_block_checksum parameter from the parameter file so that the default 'TRUE' is taken."

There was no entrie for the SAPTRACE in environmental variable.
I have inserted and given the requried path"F:\oracle\MRP\saptrace".

BRCONNECT unable to find oracle library

Hi
After SAP upgrade to Netweaver 7.0 with Oracle 10.2 on HP-UX system, the BRCONNECT program unable to execute DBA jobs. It is ending with following error with user <sid>adm
Execute logical command BRCONNECT On host <wxyz>
Parameters: -u / -jid CHECK20080812023451 -c -f check
/usr/lib/pa20_64/dld.sl: Unable to find library 'libclntsh.sl.10.1'.
Process died due to signal 9
And if I run it using user ora<sid>, it ends with insufficient privileges.

As per the [SAP note 914177 - File system reiserfs Oracle parameter filesystemio_options|https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=914177] this issue is caused by the file system that is used and by the init.ora parameter filesystemio_options = setall.
Have a look at that note.

Hi Harry,
You need to apply SAP recommendations on your database profile. Please check "Note 830576 - Parameter recommendations for Oracle 10g (<= 10.2.0.2)" on sap.service.com. This is because, "Check DB" checks whether db parameters are correctly setup.

Error in ERP 6.0 Rapid Installer - "brconnect.exe - Entry Point Not Found"

I have the installer for ERP 6.0 + NW 7.0, but option "SAP System" was missing in installation menu.
Then I downloaded ERP 6.0 (Rapid Installer, Oracle) from market place
Followed the following steps
 - Install Oracle 10.2.0.1.0
 - Install downloaded ERP 6.0 (Rapid Installer)
 - But this stopped with an error
 brconnect.exe - Entry Point Not Found
 The procedure entry point longjmp could not be located in the dynamic link library orauts.dll.
orauts.dll is oracle' client dll
When I checked BRTool' version using command

Check for the ora<sid> group and also check the env variable for ora<sid>. This should solve the issue.

ORA-00942 error occurs when execute Brtools or sapdba. This problem occur due to old version of SAPDBA.please update your Brtools & try again .

Note: on Windows there are two users, a <sid>adm for administration and a user SAPService<SID> that is used to run the system and which one you can't logon.
