Thanks in advance

Hi Ispit,
Post Go-Live and break Issue means, After go-live most of the company give warenty for the system like for 3 mths. in thease period companies give Production support.
The issue may come like Usre query, errors, problem in costomization etc. both are similar things.

  • DL DVD layer break issue

I have a .img file I would like to burn to a DL disc. I did so with Disc Utility and it came out fine except at the layer break, where I lose a few seconds of footage (right at a vital point in the film, no less).
I tried opening the file in iDVD6 but it won't let me, and when I try to import the file to iDVD, it says "Unsupported File Type: Unknown Format."
This is my first Mac, and I've had it all of two weeks, so I'm just learning the ins and outs. I've searched in the forums, but haven't found anything to address my question, so if someone could explain how to open the file in iDVD or how to burn using Disc Utility and fix the layer break issue, I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thank you.

  • Timecode Break Issues when Importing, but plays back in camera fine?

    Hello,
I am having several timecode break issues. The tapes play fine on the camera in "playback" mode but once I try to import through firewire into final cut express it gives me multiple clips. I have tried using Imovie and QuickTime Pro for importing the footage. Imovie gives me delays in the footage and so does QuickTime Pro.
Why am I getting timecode breaks when importing through final cut express, but then it plays back fine in the camera? I am using a Macbook pro with Maverick and a Sony HVR Z5U camera.
Any helps would be great. The footage is in DV.
    Thanks

Why am I getting timecode breaks when importing through final cut express, but then it plays back fine in the camera?
Because the camera basically ignores the timecode when you just play back a tape in the camera.  While it may display the TC on the LCD screen as the video plays, the camera really doesn't care about TC during plain old playback.  However, with 3 different apps all encountering problems capturing the video, it would appear there are actual TC breaks.
    Questions
Is this a problem with one or a few specific tapes, or all tapes you try to capture from?
Also, the HVRZ5U is an HDV-DVCAM-DV camcorder ... are you downconverting HDV material to DV?
Do you have *ANY* other FW devices connected to you Mac when you try to capture video from the camera?
In FCE, you might try using the DV NTSC DV Converter easy setup, which ignores timecode, instead of the default DV NTSC easy setup.

    Hi All
we have 150 business critical reports that we are upgrading to 10g. When we run the reports to browser, page break in the browser does not coincide with the report page break. I am getting headings in the middle of pages, how do I fix it?

When we changed the reports output to PDF instead of HTML. The pagebreak issue is no longer an issue.
Have anyone done any benchmark against performance and cpu utilization in using pdf format to generate and display reports.

  • Table break issues

    Hey All,
I have been a user of Pages for many years and I love it.  I have slowly transitioned from the "old" to the new Pages 5 and things seem to be getting better with each update.  I have an issue that I cannot seem to fix and I am hoping that someone here A) has a solution or B) I can submit a tick to apple to get this table issue solved.  So, here is my problem.  I have a table that is many pages long and the table is not breaking between the merged rows, but just breaking inside the actual merged row and then continuing it on the next page. I know it is breaking on one of the non merged rows, but I want the break to be dictated by the merged rows on the left side. The result is that letters and sentences in the left merged row cells are literally being sliced in half.  Here are two pics so you can see what I am talking about (one is the table not selected and the other is the table selected).  I know I could put in manual page breaks, but that is not a solution because as the data in the table changes, the whole document would not flow properly.  Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated
I am on a Apple MacBook Pro 2.6 GHz Intel i7, 16 Gigs of RAM, running 10.9.3 and am using Pages 5.2(1860).
    Thanks

Gah!!! It seems it was an issue in Pages '09 (v4.3) as well.  I just exported my working file and the same thing happened:
So I guess I need to put in manual page breaks in the table... Is there an easy way to split a table into two pieces?

  • Layer Break Issues

Encore CS4 has been giving me issues with manually setting the layer break on dual-layer disks.  I'd like to hear from everyone out there who is using CS4 to create DL disks with a manual layer break.  Does Encore always ask where to set the break when you tell it to?

    Hi Jim.
Cannot remember back to version 1, and never did a DL disc in 1.5 that I can remember, but certainly CS2/3/4 for me have never worked properly with Layer Break dialogues. One of the problems I faced that cost me a lot of lost face was when I was using version 2 on a live concert DVD for Porcupine Tree.
I worked all the data rates  locations of chapter points out manually, and knew that according to the manuals, Encore should use a chapter point if one is available within the range allowed. There were 3 in that range, so I left it as automatic.
Burned a DVD+R DL disc, and on my Denon players the break is often not even noticeable. Client approved, and we created the DLT tapes.
Back came the test moulds, and to my horror the break was not on a chapter point at all but on a GOP header around 31 seconds after the chapter it was supposed to be placed on automatically. Drat. Call the factory, tell them not to press, and I will deliver a new set of tapes in 6 hours time.
Power up DLT, Boot Encore, set break point manually. (Incidentally, Version 2 was the only version that has ever worked on manual mode for me. CS4/CS3 never do. I click on manual, and suddenly nothing happens) and set it to Chapter 17 (it could also have gone on 16 or 18 according to the dialogue)
Rewrite DLT tapes, deliver to factory, get next test mould - same freaking problem. The darn break has not moved.
Turned out that when we analyzed the tapes, the original break point had been left. A long call to Adobe support ended up with the "best guess" option that once the break poiint had been set, it remained set. The Abstraction Layer had a nasty bug and would not allow subsequent editing, it seemed.
Since then, all DL discs have been exported from Encore with no break point set at all to straight folders, and pre mastered in GEAR Pro Mastering Edition.
PGCEdit takes a bit of getting used to, but my lord, what power is there under the hood! It is seriously well worth learning as you can change so much without needing to recompile from Encore. You can even edit the entire CLUT maps  change button highlighting, edit links, set cells to seamless/non seamless, alter userops, all manner of wonderful things. ALso - After Effects definitely requires rocket science. It's beyond me. My partner thinks it is great  she loves it though.
AFAIK ( and I will check) -R DL is now supported in CS4, not sure about CS3.
Anyway - all that aside, how are you doing Jim? Long time no talk to

  • Another Dual Layer Break Issue

    Encore CS5.1
After about 12 hours, I am no further forward... Having trawled through a number of posts on this and similar subjects I am really up against the buffers.
The requirement is simple - getting Abobe Encore CS5.1 to "see" my request to use a Chapter Marker it gives me as one of three in the Manual Option section during the build process.
I had no issues with DL authoring in CS4, but CS5 is giving me a lot of grief.
    The outline:
I have a timeline of 67 minutes with 6 Chapter Markers. The first two are within the first 10 minutes, CH3 at 36 minutes, CH4 at 38 minutes, CH5 at 41 minutes and CH6 at 61 minutes.
I am using Verbatum DL +R DVDs (I have used no other these last three years) with a write speed of x4 or x2.4.
Once I have built the NEW project, imported the video and placed the Chapters as above (all except CH3 at fade-to-black points) I select 8.54 GB dual layer, Side one, Manual and proceed.
At the invitation to select the manual point Encore offers me CH3, CH4 and CH5. No matter what I select, it places the break point at about 33 minutes (about half way) and in doing so screws up my own Chapters by placing it's own (invisible in the timeline) chapter thereby shuffling all mine. As a result I lose sections or get repeated sections.
I tried building to Folders and using ImgBurn. This confirms the insistance on using a halfway point - same too building to an Image the chapter and cell are never my selected, always a cell at about the halway point.
Adobe Encore is not recognising my selection (at its own invitation).
I have deleted the project and cache - rebooted and built the project from scratch importing the video - creating the timeline and adding the Chapters - always the same.
I have followed some of the points given using Folders in ImgBurn - it simply is not working for me. It's almost like Encore is screwing the build and the build is the same as though the settings are held in cache.
As mentioned, I have cleared all previous builds and their files and deleted the media cache with no joy.
I'm getting to the point whereby the only choice left to me is to split the project timeline and build the project as two separate DVDs (as the timeline is only just over the capacity for a single sided DVD (3 minutes).
As for PCG Edit - doesn't seem to want to run on my workstation (PC i7 24GB RAM - 3 separate drives in RAID combo and separate OS SSD).
Can someone help me find out what has happened to Encore as it does appear that after every "upgrade" somthing gets a little worse judging by my CS4 experience.
    Many Thanks

    Hi Stan,
    Many thanks...
    Yes, running "as admin"
Not quite with you "...too much material for a layer."
I often run to about 65 mins to just fit a single layer - perfect, but this project ran over - and I can't take anything out.
I am loath to change the sample rate as my SD quality (from a combo of AVCHD and MPEG2) Sony NX5 and Z5 really hit the spot for max res in SD (9.4 Mb/s). The Encoded spec for Encore is legal (or so it would seem) for Encore in a single layer (no issues or errored DVDs), and as I said in the OP I had no issues like this in CS4 (yes, apart from the known buggy stuff).
But why would Encore offer me a number of break points in placed chapters only to ignore them consistantly?
    Another point:
My first build went through and honoured the chapters, but put the layer change halfway - but didn't screw the build. There was a production reason I had to change the timeline content - one shot change of the same duration. I would certainly settle for that at this stage. Interestingly, I built to Image and did an IMGBurn (as I do do for all DLs). But as you say, IMGBurn is choking on what's been passed to it from Encore. I am trying to replicate that first build.
By the way, all my Chapters in the timeline preview perfectly in Encore - it's just when I ask for the build it all goes wrong (seemingly).
Many thanks again Stan. Appreciate your reply.

This symbol is break line. And only the font "Sharjah" has this issues.

  • SMB2 lease break issue

We recently converted a file server from Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2012, and ran into performance problems with a share.
All client PCs in this case are running Windows 7.
We have a folder that the PCs check for software updates, and use the GetFileVersionInfo API to read the embedded version information from the files. (large folder, 17k files in it). If the version is different than what is already on their C: drives, CopyFile
is used to copy it down
As there are hundreds of PCs checking this folder, at times they collide. Normally when there is a collision, a lease break is sent to the 1st PC to inform it that it can no longer perform write caching. As these files are typically not being written to,
I would expect the PC to immediately say 'ok', and life moves on - and that is the observed behavior the vast majority of the time.
Occasionally though what happens is that the 1st PC does not respond to the lease break for several seconds, and then issues a flurry of "file close" commands for both the file in question as well as a bunch of others. (no writes, no reads, no
    other operation).
My speculation is that the there is a hole between the time that the last application on the PC closes its handle and the dormant file scavenger cleans up the remaining open files with the server. I think if the lease break request is received in a windows
related to that, that it neither responds to the break nor responds with a close immediately, instead essentially timing out and finally closing when it gets around to it.
Is there a way to correct this? (by tuning client/server configuration - obviously can change how version mismatch detection works to not 'typically' open the file for reading).
See wireshark trap for an example: http://bobknock.com/getfileversion_lease_break.pcapng

Unfortunately we never found a real fix.
We ended up tweaking the way the process worked to alleviate some of the most critical pauses, but basically the users just suffered through it until the completion of an (unrelated, previously planned) project that replaced it a few months later (and
    didn't rely on the shares).
I had found this hotfix, it didn't work for us, but maybe you'll get lucky.
"Oplock break requests are ignored by a Windows 7-based or Windows Server 2008 R2-based client"
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2824408
KB2824408 indicates the fix is available on another (seemingly unrelated) hotfix:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2732673
KB2732673 indicates that you should first install the 'enterprise hotfix rollup':
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2775511
KB2775511 in turn suggests that you should actually install: 2775511, then 2732673, then 2728738, and then finally 2878378.

  • Page Break Issue - Excel 2013

I'm about to explode, trying to figure out why this problem is happening. I have two users who are opening
an Excel file from the same location, and they're doing their own modifications/saves. When one user opens the document and prints, the Print Preview shows 12 pages, and there are no problems. When the other user opens the same file and prints, there are 18
    pages.
Throughout those 18 pages, there are several blank pages interspersed with populated ones, and there are also
a couple of pages with one line or so, from the end of a previous page. If I go to View>>Page Break Preview, this extended document shows little slivers of extra pages. The top of those little "pages" are dashed, and the bottom line is the
solid page-break, for the next page.
Why would this be happening to one user, but not the other? They're both opening the exact same page/template.
Oh, and as a side note, I'm also getting 18 pages with blanks/single-lines, when I open the file. Is there an advanced setting that the 12-page user has checked in Excel that I'm missing? Am I providing enough information?
    Any help is massively appreciated.
    - Thanks

It's probably caused by a difference in printers. Excel uses the printer settings to place page breaks
Some printers, e.g. inkjet printers, have a smaller printable area than others, e.g. laser printers. As a result, less information will fit on a page.
The worksheet apparently also has manually set page breaks.
Let's take a simple example: the used area of the worksheet has 94 used rows, and a manual page break has been set below row 47. I'll assume that the used area is rather narrow.
On printer A, 48 rows fit on a page. So the first 47 rows will be printed on page 1, and the next 47 rows on page 2.
On printer B, only 46 rows fit on a page because it has a smaller printable area. So the first 46 rows will be printed on page 1, the 47th row on page 2 (not more, because there is a manual page break below row 47). The next 46 rows will be printed on page
3, and the 94th and last row on page 4.

  • Page Break Issue

    Hi All,
I would need to apply page break on one BI Publisher report.
For each empoyee the result should get displayed in separate page. I have made Emplid as Group by field in the rtf and applyied <?split-by-page-break:?> on this group.
I have the below tags in my rtf...
    <?for-each-group:ROW;./Emplid?>
    data filed1,data filed2..................
    <?split-by-page-break:?><?end for-each-group?>
If rtf file is having one page of report fileds and applied <?split-by-page-break:?> at end of the group, the PDF output places the page-breaks perfectly. In a case of report fileds are in more than one page(rtf contains 2 pages of code) and If I apply <?split-by-page-break:?> at the end of the group. So the report is not making page breaks rather it shows continues data.
I am using BI 10.1.3.3.2 and word2007. Is the version makes any difference? Can you pls help me on this?
    Thanks in advance!!!
    Regards,
    Ramesh

The scenario directly below puts an extra line on the top of the page after a group page break:
    <?for-each-group:ROW;.//row?>
    data filed1,data filed2..................
    <?split-by-page-break:?><?end for-each-group?>
The scenario directly works perfectly, no extral line:
    <?for-each-group:.//row?><xsl:attribute name="break-before">page</xsl:attribute>
    data filed1,data filed2..................
    <?end for-each?>
    Thanks for this one!

  • Page break issue with subform AddInstance

I would like the table on page 4 of this form --- http://www.tahc.state.tx.us/10-09_TrichomoniasisEpiInvestigation.pdf --- to be allowed to break across a page if necessary. I want the button on that page to add another instance of the table at the top of the next available page.
I am clearly missing something about subforms and overflow because in LCD, this is a 5-page form. When it's opened in Acrobat, it's a 7-page form (the table displays on page 6) and and the table extends past the bottom of the page so that the button is not visible.
Any leads on how I can fix this? Thanks.

Thank you for the tip. Your fix is a big step in the right direction --- the form renders as it should but only if I don't enable usage rights for Reader. After usage rights are enabled, the page break problems reappear and the blank table runs off the bottom of the page. Do you know why this occurs? (I've reposted your fixed form with user rights enabled---http://www.tahc.state.tx.us/10-09_TrichomoniasisEpiInvestigation.pdf.) Thanks again.

  • Xml report:Page break issue

Hi I am working on PO Printing Report. There are mainly three section .1 is Header part which contains informaition like Bill to Address Ship to address, vendor address payment terms etc, middle part contais lots of information like header notes, supplier header note, note to vendor ,ship instruction, line notes ,if po cancelled then its informaition,if any line gets cancelled than the same information , all lines for this PO and many more. After this section we have footer like part which have total column and signature. The total and signature are dynamic.i.e should appean in last page only. The last page of report for a PO conatains a image Terms And Condtion.
Now problem is as there are lots of data in middle part ,It pushes the footer part to the next page.I need to break the page after certain height of table or certain no of records in table so as to have footer remain in each page.
Is there any way to fix no of records in middle part or calculate heigth of table at run time ...when it reaches to its max height ,I break the page.
Or I include the footer section in page footer but as its dynamic How can I get total column value and signature url dynamically.
Please suggest me how to achieve this.....

    Welcome to the forum !
I don't see your report, but I'm almost sure that one of your data exceeds field size. To fix it, try set for all your report items (frames, fields, repeating frames) vertical elasticity to variable and horizontal elasticity to fixed. It should fix your problem. Afterwards you can investigate which filed/frame causes an error, setting back elasticity of your items

The problem arises because the iPhone uses "Plain Text" to send emails.
When using gmail, gmail automatically inserts breaks in "Plain Text" emails every 78 characters, the reason why you see the breaks when unexpected.
    See: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/gmail/thread?tid=4d1cecc1aab102ef&hl=en
    To fix this problem:
    1. Apple can allow us to send mail with Rich Text support from iOS devices OR
    2. Google has to change the line breaks setting so that Plain text flows (and isn't broken) <-- this option is probably more realistic
I have tried from a hotmail account, sending email as plain text doesn't have line breaks imposed like the gmail account, but rather "flows".
If you want gmail to add a setting to disable line breaks in plain text emails:
