Breaking Apart Images and Bitmaps in Color Panel

When I break apart a bitmap and use the eyedropper to sample
it and then fill in a shape, I notice that the bitmap also stays in
the color panel as a bitmap. Will this become a permanent part of
my Flash installation or is it only accessible for this file? I
opened a new file and it did not seem to appear for it. I just want
to make sure I understand the purpose of it displaying in the color
panel. What is the point of this?
Thanks.

Not sure I totally understand - the point is so you can pick
this swatch "color" again in this
document. If you delete the bitmap from the document's
library it will go away. If you open a new
doc it won't be there because the new doc doesn't contaqin
any imported/broken apart/color-picked
bitmaps.
I have to ask, what were you expecting to happen with this
particular swatch? Or rather, is there a
better workflow solution for you perhaps? Just curious.

  • How do I superimpose a darkfield image on brightfield image and then chose color range from the darkfield and only keep what I selected in the color range?

    Hi
In the previous version of photoshop I was able to superimpose images of brightfield and darkfield  insitu hybridization.  I would adjust both images to same size and resolution.  The darkfield image I would change the hue saturation to red so that now all the brighspots appeared red.  Then I would open a new photoshop image and then drag the brightfield first into the new panel and then drag the red darkfield image on the brightfield.  So now you can only see the red dark field layer on the top,  THen using range I would select the bright red spots on the dark field and press delete.  This would keep all the dark red spots on the brightfield image and all the other dark spots from the dark filed would disappear.  This way I would superimpose all the brightest red spots from the dark field image on the brightfield image and this way I would get red signals on the bluish brightfiled image.  I am unable to do this using photoshop on CS6. I am pasting the darkfiled image on the brightfield image (rather than dragging them) . Then using range when I choose the color range and then hit delete button I am unable to clear the unwanted dark field sections.  Can anybody tell me what I should do on the new Adobe photoshop 6 (64 bits).
    Thanks

That question may be better answered with a goolge search.  It not something most Photoshop users would be doing. More science then normal image processing.

  • Full screen images and full screen color background boxes are cropping horizontally.

Full screen images aren't loading and full screen color background boxes are cropping horizontally. I'm forced to make my images a full screen slide show (of 1 image) to make it work, but then I lose the option to pin the image. Am I alone in this?

    Hello,
I would request you to share the a url or few screenshot so that i can get better idea about the issue.
To create a temporry url you can go to File > publish in muse.

  • How to draw an ROI on an image and have the color to be transparent?

    Hello,
I am using an ROI contour on a displayed image of my program and i want to programmatically change the color of it to transparrent.
I am using the property node and i bundle in the red green and blue values, however it does not accept the colorbox to change it to transparrent.
Do you know if there is any way to do this?
The result should be to draw an ROI and just have it invisible.
    Thanks,
    Christos

Hello Christina, thanks for your response.
    These methods are
known to me, however, when you create a Display and then a property
node for the ROI contour color, the input of it takes only 8bit RGB
color. I couldn't find any node that takes the alpha, or the
    transparent value.
Let me know if you have a more specific solution in mind to solve this problem.
Currently i believe that the Labview code for the ROI contour is insufficient.
    Thank you,
    Christos

  • Selective Color panel is unavailable (greyed out) in PS CS5

    Hi!
I've had this problem occur in previous versions as well.
I work on an image and use Selective Color to make adjustments, then, out of nowhere, the panel no longer operates.
I can no longer select the colors from the drop down menu for adjustments because the menu is grayed out...here is a photo to demonstrate...
Do any of you know why this is happening?
    Thanks!

I know this is old, but in case you come across it again this is one fix that works about 75% of the time.

  • Breaking apart object

I need help in breaking apart the orange squares to color each individually. I was following an online tutorial and the person clicked the Unite button which made the white crosses one piece (at the 42 seconds mark of this video) .When i did it, everything turned white.
    Thank you in advance!

Just in case this went by anyone the OP might want to take a more direct approach

  • How can you use one image and edit it three different ways to export later?

I am a new Lightroom 3 user.  How can use the same image and edit it multiple ways to produce mulitple images to later export?  For example,  I have a picture of a bride and groom.  I want to use that image and create a color image, a black and white image, and a close up of their hands.

Do I need to do either of those options before I start editing the image at all?  For example,  what if I am working on the image and doing some creative edits.  Then I think of another option that I could do.  Is it too late at that time or can I still get the original image to begin with?

  • Is it possible to apply a PNG image *and* a gradient to a single div background?

I am looking to create a div that will have a css gradient as a background, but also a PNG image to go on top of that gradient. This div will also contain text.
So the desired stacking order is :
    Top : Live Text
    Middle : PNG image
    Bottom : CSS Gradient
Question : Can this be done with only 1 div?
I know that if you specify a background image AND a background color on the same div, you will get both, and it works quite well. But it seems much more complex to do it with a gradient instead of a flat bg color.
If it's do-able, what would the syntax be?
    Thanks!

    Hi
You could also use multiple background images, though this will not work in IE8 or below, (use Nancys 'stacking order' as a fallback but specify these first).
    #multipleBackgroundImages {
      background-image: url(gradient.svg),
                        url(your_image.jpg);
      background-position: top left, bottom right;
      background-repeat: no-repeat;
    see also - http://www.css3.info/preview/multiple-backgrounds/
I specify an svg as the first image as this will work across all modern browsers.
    For IE8 or below -
You could use an IEFilter for the gradient and an image over that, providing your image is not too large, or use the IEFilter 'alphaImageLoadeer' to place the image in the top r/h corner of the div, with the gradient below.

  • I'm having problems with videos, they shake and the images break up back and forth into striped colors, how do I fix this?

I'm having problems with videos, they shake and the images break up back and forth into striped colors, how do I fix this?

    1) This is because of software version 1.1. See this
thread for some options as to how to go back to 1.0,
    which will correct the problem...
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=3754
    59&tstart=0
    2) This tends to happen after videos. Give the iPod a
minute or two to readjust. It should now be more
    accurate.
    3) This?
iPod shows a folder icon with exclamation
    point
    4) Restore the iPod
    5) Try these...
iPod Only Shows An Apple Logo and Will Not Start
    Up
iPod Only Shows An Apple Logo
I think 3,4, and 5 are related. Try the options I
    posted for each one.
    btabz
I just noticed that one of the restore methods you posted was to put it into Disk Mode First rather than just use the resstore straight off, I Have tried that and seems to have solved the problem, If it has thank you. previously I have only tried just restoring it skipping this extra step. Hope my iPod stays healthy, if it doesnt its a warrenty job me thinks any way thanks again

  • Breaking apart bitmaps

    Hi All,
Not sure if this is the right forum for this question, but I don't see anywhere else. I'm trying to break apart the items on my timeline using code, however some of them have already been broken apart. My question is, how do I test if an object has been broken apart already in JSFL?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Air for ios optimization with bitmap break apart

    Hi,
I'm developing an ios game with Flash CS5.5, and tries to optimize it as much as possible. I use bitmaps and GPU, but there is one thing I haven't found an answer to. I'd like to fill a background with bitmap tiles. An easy way (for me) to achieve this, is to just break apart the bitmap tile and use the eyedropper tool to fill out the desired background area, but I believe this turns the bitmap into a shape. Do you know if this would be bad when it comes to optimizing? Should I instead lay out the tiles side by side without breaking them apart?

I did check for that, and rechecked just now, and they're all unscaled.  Plus, the code shows the correct dimensions and the issue doesn't exist on the computer - screenshots from the computer and the ipad don't match.  It's only the ipad that's showing the distortion.
There must be something wrong with the fla or the ipa.  I created a new fla and tested the same code with just one image and there's no distortion.  I'll try creating a new fla.
    Thanks!

  • Oracle Reports - Unable to generate report with colored image in bitmap mod

    Hi,
I am using Oracle reports 6i.
I am generating a post script[.ps] file using bitmap mode.
The layout contains an image. The image is stored in oracle database which is colored image.
But when the report is generated same is being generated with gray color.
Could any one advise on resolving this issue? The objective is to generate the report with colored image and not gray or black&white

What kind of images do you have? Reports only supports a few formats, e.g. JFIF. So, if you have JPG images with EXIF meta information in the header, you have to remove those first.
when the report is generated same is being generated with gray color. What happens if you sent the output directly to the printer?
And what happens if you create a PDF file instead of Postscript?

  • FCPX: Still Images and Color Effects

What I am doing is not working so clearly I am doing it incorrectly . .  .
I have some still images and want to change the color to night-time "over time". I thought I could use keyframes to do it but when I do that, it changes the color of the entire image instantly. It is not a gradual change. Maybe I am setting the keyframe in the wrong place, I am not sure. Anyway here is how I am settin the keyframs and also the panel I am working in to do the color adjustment. It seems the keyframes are being set in the "Transform All" section and I want them in the color section but can't get them in there. Can someone please tell me how to do this correctly?

Tom, I have a question. I can split the clip -no problem; however, when I add the first color correction (going from day to night color), it is going to apply the color change instantly with no gradual fade to night. In the second clip, I can do another color correction going from night back to day but, again, it will be applied instantly. I think I might be misunderstanding your method. Can you explain, please.
Or are you saying that one clip would be day and one would be night, and the cross-dissolve would blend the two?

  • Combining image and text in accordion content panel

    Hello,
I'm having difficulty displaying image and text together within an accordion content panel.  What I need is a thumbnail photo of a staff member plus a short bio.  I've put a panel together so it displays as needed in Live View, but not in IE8, Foxfire8, or Chrome.  I'm using Dreamweaver 5.5, Spry 1.6.1, Windows 7.
Here's the code for the panel that includes an image not displaying:
    <div class="AccordionPanel">
    <div class="AccordionPanelTab">Stan Swiercz, Training Manager</div>
    <div class="AccordionPanelContent">
    <div class = "PanelImage"> <img src="/images/StanSwiercz.jpg"/></div>
    Bio text goes here</div>
    </div>
Here's a link to a test page (ignore funky color variations, still settling those).  The panel that is set to open should display an image floating left with text wrapping, as it does in Live View.
    http://cet-training.org/Test%20folder/people.html
I''ve double-checked documentation, help, and done searches, but can't find any information about what should be an easy thing to do.  Any help out there?
    Thank you very much,
    George

The location of the image is http://cet-training.org/Test%20folder/images/StanSwiercz.jpg (click the link to see the image)
This is the markup from your document <img src="/images/StanSwiercz.jpg"/> which means that the image is located in the images folder which is located in the root directory.
Hence the image cannot be found by your document.
The following are possible solutions, please choose one only
change the location of the images folder to reside in the root directory
delete the leading slash from the link as in <img src="images/StanSwiercz.jpg"/>
change the link to an absolute value as in <img src="http://cet-training.org/Test%20folder/images/StanSwiercz.jpg"/>
