Breaking of charms configuration
Dear Experts ,
please help me on below
i want to disconnect my charms configuration due to some internal reasons , but i dont know how to disconnect
please let me how can i disconnect charms configuration
Regards
Hi,
Please delete the existing TMS configuration. Later re-configure TMS between your required Landscape excluding domain link from Solution Manager. This should achieve your purpose.
Hope this helps.

Hello Guru's,
I'm configuring the ChaRM in our solution manager system, we have 3 system landscape DEV>QAS>PRD, we made all the settings related to Charm. While checking the ChaRM configuration its throwing an error message.
No consolidation system found for HMD-040 (project HMMAINT)
No track for project HMMAINT with log. system HMD/040
Message from function module /TMWFLOW/CHECK_PRJ_CONS: No export system for HMP-040
Also we checked the RFC connection, everything working fine. Could anyone suggest me why its throwing an error.
regards,
GunaHi Guna,
Base on the error shown in ur reply it is Basis landscape setup problem
They need to create a client dependent stms in satellite and update the solman as a master domain controller
unless that is done properly you get error like consolidation or export system etc.
ask your basis team to check the same.

Charm configuration in solman 4.0 SP14
Hello Gurus,
I have to do Charm (Change Request Management) configuration in my landscape of
SED-- SEQ,STQ-- STP.
Solman - STM
Can anyone of you please provide me step by step detail for this.
Thanks in advance
Jain PankajI am doing Charm configuration
i am using Dolores Correa's Blog
/people/dolores.correa/blog/2008/07/26/first-steps-to-work-with-change-request-management-scenario
Landscape i am using for Charm config.
SED:030 -
> SEQ/275 -
STP/275 ,Domain Controller is STP ( DOMAIN_SED)
Solman --- STM:100 , Solman is in the same domain,Domain Controller is STP ( DOMAIN_SED)
My doubts :
Spro- Solution manager- Configuration u2013 Senario Specific Settings Change Management-Transport Management System-> Generate RFC connection to 000
Question 1- This RFC has to be genrated from solman STM:100 to Domain Controler (STP/000) ?
or STM:100 to all systems ( SED:000 , SEQ:000 ) in my landscape ?
Spro- Solution manager- Configuration u2013 Senario Specific Settings Change Management-Transport Management System-> Add Import Authorization to Operator/Administrator
i. Make sure that the operator and administrator users in client 000 of the target systems have the same name as their user in the Solution Manager system.
ii. Assign import authorization to the operator and administrator users in client 000 of the target systems (SAP_CHANGEMAN_OPERATOR and SAP_CHANGEMAN_ADMIN roles).
Question 2. what is operator or administrator user
is that my user ex. PJAIN ( the one who is configuring Charm ) or any other user ?
Spro- Solution manager- Configuration u2013 Senario Specific Settings Change Management-Transport Management System->Set Project Assignment of Requests as Mandatory
TMWFLOW/CMSCONF --->Check the entries in the Proj. Assignment column
System of Proj Project Assigmnet
SED :030 optional
if i change this to "mandatory"
Question 3 will this avoid users creating transport orders directly in dev system ( SED:030) ??
as users are workin in dev system , and if i change this to madatory user wont b able to create change request in dev system ( SED:030 ) till the time configuration of Charm gets over by me ,
and if i stuck in some error during charm configuration , no user wil be able to create change request in SED:030 ??
Please advice -

Problem in CHaRM Configuration - Solution Manager 4.0 SP16
Hi All,
We are in the process of configuring CHaRM in Solution Manager 4.0 with SP16. We have created the project and the activated CHaRM for that project and created the task list as well.
We are able to create the Change Request transaction and also approve the transaction successfully.
ISSUE
The popup of selecting a maintenance cycle while approving the Change Request is not appearing.
When we go to the document flow and select the next document it says
No maintenance cycle is open for the current system
Message no. SOCM_ACTION_LOG011
Maintenance Cycle is very much active when we check from transaction /tmwflow/cmsconf --> Environment --> Scheduling --> Display maintenance cycles.
We are not able to see any maintenance cycle from transaction code crm_dno_monitor
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks and Regards
SiddarthI have a question regarding the organization of Solutions in Solution Manager.
First, I have 3 solution manager boxes
1 Sandbox
2 Dev
3 Prod
In sandbox, I have a sandbox 'solution' that contains all sandboxes
In dev, I have no 'solution'
In production, I have all dev through production boxes lumped into one 'solution'.
I was thinking that maybe I should break up the solution in Production to have only prod boxes, and then build one in dev that contains dev and qa boxes.
My question is that when I configure CHARM to manager transports, will that work to separate DEV/QA from Prod OR will I need all the dev, qa, prod boxes in one 'solution' since that is how transports flow?? -

Charm configuration for a 4 system landscape
Hi Experts,
We are planning to implement charm for a 4 system landscape: Development Server, Integration Server, Quality Server and Production Server.
We could configure TMS related steps, activated Charm in Solution Manager, created a maintenance project in solar_project_admin.
However, the standard delivered transaction types like Normal correction and Urgent Correction are not working in a 4 system landscape. They are only working for 3 systems (DEV, QAS and PRD).
Are there any documents or blogs that would specially explain all the steps required for 4 systems? Any kind of help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
RavaliDevelopment --> Integration --> Quality --> Production.
First, I will import the transport of copies into integration
Yes, and you test the changes here.
Second, the whole transport is released and imported to Integration - in the Test phase of the maintenance cycle and NC status being consolidated.
Third - Now, keeping the maintenance cycle in the TEST phase and NC phase in consolidated, will I be able to schedule the transport into quality server?
Nope. You consolidate your normal correction, which releases your original transport and import them into Integration, and then immediately into Quality (you already proved it worked in Integration) BEFORE you set the phase to Test. Otherwise the original transports are NOT released. And if you set your phase to Test before importing the originals, you'll get a message that you cannot import transports into Quality during this phase.
If you need to get transports into Quality for break fixes during the Test phase you need to use a Test Message and these are imported during Go-live as well.
Fourth - if the above process works, I will then change the MC to Go Live and schedule the import to Production.
With the corrected process mentioned above, yes, you will then change the phase to Go-live and it will import everything that was brought into Quality.
Hope this helps. -
Error in CHARM configuration to move JAVA objects 'The project is not relea
Hi,
I have BI 7.0 (ABAP + JAVA) landscape (i.e. CBD, CBQ and CBP) on SPS12 and SolMan 7.0 (SMD) on SPS14. My goal is to move both ABAP and JAVA transports through CHARM. I performed following tasks:
1. Configured TMS by selecting CBD as Transport Domain controller to move Java transports
2. Configured CHARM for BI landscape to move ABAP transports in SMD and it is working fine
3. Configured CTS+ to move JAVA transports on SMD instead of CBD because CTS_BROWSER service is not available on CBD due to SPS12. While configuring CTS+ in SMD, I used SIDs for BI Java landscape as reverse SID (i.e. DBC, QBC and PBC) and used mapping parameter to map to original SID. I used reverse SID because already in SMD (CBD, CBQ and CBP) has been defined for CHARM purpose. Now, I am able to move successfully JAVA transports of BI landscape from SMD.
4. I am having issue in configuring CHARM on SMD for JAVA transports. I am following http://service.sap.com/solutionmanager --> Media Library --> TechnicalPapers --> How to Set Up and Use eCTS/ChaRM Solution Manager 4.0 SP12 document. Following are the steps, I performed to move JAVA transport through CHARM:
a. Defined JAVA systems (i.e. DBC, QBC and PBC) in SMSY as Enterprise portal systems
b. Defined ABAP system (i.e. Where Transport request is created, in my case it is SMD) in SMSY
c. Defined logical component for both ABAP and JAVA systems
d. Defined solution manager project by adding two logical components created at step C (i.e. ABAP and JAVA)
e. I am getting error when I am trying to activate CHARM and create task list. The error is as follows:
/TMWFLOW/TRACKN 101: 'Warning: Problems occurred during synchronization of the system landscape'.
If you choose 'Check', the system displays the following message in the results list of the check:
/TMWFLOW/TRACK_N 806: 'No consolidation system found for SMD-200 (project zjava3)'
If you try to create a task list by choosing the relevant pushbutton, the system issues message
/TMWFLOW/CONFIG_UI 017: 'The project is not released. Hence cycle can not be created'.
I found a relevant sap note for this 1054264 but it is not useful me, as it suggest to upgrade SolMan to SPS12 but whereas I am on SPS 14.
Any suggestion are welcome. Thanks in advance.
Regards
ShivHello
You should first fix the errors you get such as the missing consolidation system
Please see thread [Re: No consolidation system found for SID in solman; or check the forum on the error message "'No consolidation system found for" and you will find relevant information.
I would advise to update your SAP Solution Manager though to one of the latest available levels, there are a lot of fixes and enhancements to Charm (and also availability of quality gate management which gives some of the functionality of Charm but is more compact).
Kind regards

Solution Manager Charm configuration
Hi @all,
I´am using SAP Solution Manager 7.0 SP 15. Configurated all Charm Steps successfully.
The SAP Solutoin Manager - Scenario- Specific Settings - Change Management - Extended Configuration -Checks - Execute Check Report is green
I can´t open any hance cycle in solar_project_admin - System Landscape - Change Requests , Create Task List, I get the result "project is not released. hance cycle can not be created".
If i click "check", there are three errors:
Message from function module /TMWFLOW/CALC_SINGLE_TRACK: No source system
(Message no. /TMWFLOW/TRACK_N103)
No track for project DF_WART_01 with log. system A36/200
(Message no. /TMWFLOW/CM_CHECK038)
CTS projects in production systems for project DF_WART_01
(Message no. /TMWFLOW/TASKLIST190)
System change options are empty.
In my authorized Change Requests - related documents (next document). i get "there are no actions in the Worklist"
i´ve no idea where my fault is. I hope you can help me.
Please suggest.
Best Regards
DanielNow I have created a new maintenance project, I´ve configured everything, when I check it, I get two errors:
No consolidation system found for A36-200 (project DF_SOLMAN1)
Message no. /TMWFLOW/TRACK_N806
No track for project DF_SOLMAN1 with log. system A36/200
Message no. /TMWFLOW/CM_CHECK038
I noticed that this thread is pretty old already but I bumped into similar error messages and in the end it was caused by a TMS route configuration that didn't match the configuration of the logical component that was in use.
You can pretty easily verify this through SMSY. Navigate to your logical component there, select the line of the system assignment and click on Shipment Routes button. If you get an empty screen back, then your TMS transport route configuration doesn't match your logical component configuration.
For example, you've got DEV 100 - DEV 200 - PRD 100 for a CHARM demo landscape. If your TMS transport route configuration matches this but your logical component has DEV 100 assigned as Quality Assurance, then your configuration check for CHARM will fail because there is a mismatch.
When your configuration is correct, so both your TMS transport route as your Logical Component (system role assignment), then you should get a transport route configuration back (visible) after clicking Shipment Routes. -
Breaking up xml configurations?
Hi,
I'm wondering if there's an easy way to break up xml cache configurations into different (partial) xml files so that they can be easily included into other (master) xml files. That way one can easily reuse definitions without requiring to apply a single change to several files. Here's my current need:
I want to have several nodes that ultimately need to work/share a single distributed map. However there are two types of node participants:
WRITE-type nodes which can only do puts to the map
READ-type nodes which can only do reads
On top of this the storage is only enabled on the READ-type nodes (that's fine since I can do it using the init-param tags based on passed properties.)
Now, the key here is that I want the WRITE-type to use a distributed scheme and READ-type nodes to have a nead cache configuration with a back-scheme coinciding with the WRITE-type map. In both cases the real distributed cache is the same.
I don't seem to get away with this config unless I have 2 different config files for READ and WRITE types.
Am I missing anything? I would really like to avoid coding this into the application.
Also I was thinking that maybe I could use the include capabilities of xml, but either Coherence does not follow the XML standard or I've messed up something..
Anybody has had a similar problem? Am I the only one that wants to access a distributed map from different cache configurations?Hi,
You can use, for example, property name to override scheme name:
<code>
<cache-mapping>
<cache-name>someCacheName</cache-name>
<scheme-name system-property="some.property">default-scheme-name</scheme-name>
</cache-mapping>
</code>
That will allow you to use a single configuration file and specify an actual scheme by using -Dsome.property=name override.

ChaRM configuration issue for 2 Clients...
Dear Friends,
I have configured ChaRM in Solution Manager 7.0 EhP1 system. It is working fine without any issues. But now I came across a new requirement and finding trouble in configuring the required scenario.
Currently there is only single client in DEV, QA and PRD system for which ChaRM is configured. Now, I want to configure the ChaRM for 2 clients in each system.
For example,
<ZCHARM_1> -- SOL:001 -- > DEV : 100 --> QAS : 200 --> PRD1 : 300
<ZCHARM_2> -- SOL:001 -- > DEV : 500 --> QAS : 600 --> PRD2 : 700
(Please note, ZCHARM_X is a project and SOL-001 is a Solution Manager ChaRM client).
First up all, I would like to understand, is it possible? is it supported by SAP ?
If yes, how can we configure client specific route for SAP standard transport layer (SAP)? What are the other concerns in using above system landscape in ChaRM?
Please note, we do not want to use separate hardware for either DEV or QA system.
Please can someone guide in this case?
Rajesh NarkhedeRajesh,
I am not aware if you have searched on this issue, but You may want to take a look at this thread.
Change Request Management for multiple production clients
This configuration should work fine, because in essence, its a 3 system landscape, so there should not be major issues on the way.
From the TMS Standpoint you need to define a transport layer for each development client.
You can create a single project with the logical components or you can create multiple projects with each set of systems. Remember to do the TMS configuration right and you should be set.
Cheers!

Charm Configuration for Multiple Landscape
Dear Guru's,
We're having 5 landscapes (ECC, BI, etc) and one solution manager system, is it possible to configure ChaRm for the multiple landscape and control those 5 landscape in single solution manager system.
Expecting your positive reply.
regards,
GunaHi,
You may create 5 Locical components and Assign them in the Maintenance Projects.
and mainetenance cycle project each of them.
There should be domain links from solman to each domain controllers in your landscape.
Follow configuration as in SPRO
Hope this helps.
Feel free to revert back.

Solution manager charm configure
hello everyone
i want to configure the charM scope with our R3 and BW at two domain .
R3 landscape
DEV(101sandbox,201-develop,301-customizing ,800unit testing)
QAS(800- testing)
PRD(800-prduct)
tranport from DEV TO QAS and delivery to PRD ,also you can export the object from QAS to PRD for special .
domain controller is PRD
BW landscape BWD(client 100)--BWQ(client 880)BWP(client 880)
domain controller is BWP
if we use the charM for manager the change requst ,how we configure in all system for prepare the charM like the stms configure .
we notice our test system and prd system have same client number ,so it is ok for configure ?
expect your help!
thanks a lot!
frankHi,
1 QAS client and PRD client can be the same(need not to be different).
2. Make sure that the system landscape you mention under system landscape tab of SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN should match with TMS configuration of Solution Manager.(This is very important).
You should create a maintenance project with system landscape DEV-201->QAS-200->PRD-200 using SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN. Repeat this step for BW also.
You need to configure TMS of Solution Manager in Client 000 as follows:
SLM->DEV-201->(Consolidation Route)QAS-200->(Delivery Route)PRD-200
SLM->BW-100->(Consolidation Route)BW-880->(Delivery Route)BW-880
No more document is required better than SPRO. Just follow this SPRO path to configure TMS:
SPRO->SAP Solution Manager->Configuration->Scenario-Specific Settings->Change Management
->Change Request Management->Standard Configuration->Transport Management System(Read IMG activity of each step).
Let me know if you have aby issues.

How to configure TMS for ChaRM with Customizing routes?
Hi Experts,
We have succesfully configured three system landscape TMS for ChaRM for several pipelines already. Now we are facing a situation where TMS is as follows:
DEV to QAS contains routes:
Customizing: ZEBP => 100
Transport: ZDEV => 100
Customizing: ZSUS => 200
Transport: SAP => 100
The question with these is how to add ZEBP and ZSUS to ChaRM configuration?
QAS to PRD:
Delivery: 200 => 200
Delivery: 100 => 100
Here the question is how to enable transports between 200s alongside 100?
When looking at SMSY in SolMan, SUS is a logical system only.
Has anyone of you come across a situation like this? I'm glad for any hints you may give me!
Our SolMan is 4.0 SP13.
Best Regards,
AuliHi
in my opinion you can configure it the following way:
Customizing: ZEBP => 100
Transport: ZEBP => 100 (not ZDEV)
Customizing: ZSUS => 200
Transport: SAP => 100
Then assign ZEBP as default transport layer for client 100 and ZSUS for client 200.
It is not possible to configure ZEBP and ZDEV for client 100 if you want to use charm
