Breeze Presenter Fehler?

Hallo miteinander,
Was mach ich falsch bzw was
fehlt mir? Hintergrund der ganzen Aktion ist, dass ich mit dem
Presenter einen Scorm erstellen möchte und diesen dann in das
LMS moodle integrieren will. Vielen Dank schon mal für eure
Reaktionen!

I have not seen any issues after upgrading to 7.0
All our animations ,audio are coming same as they did in 5.1
7.0 has some additional cool features example capability of

  • Animated GIFs in BREEZE Presenter

Does anyone know a workaround for having animated gifs work
    in Breeze Presenter?
    Thanks.

    Phatty5,
One potential workaround is to take that gif and rebuild it
in flash; create the animation there and save it out as a swf. Then
    reimport back into PowerPoint.
    Some other workarounds include:
    1. if you have a recent version of Photoshop/Image Ready
(CS/CS2), you can save animated gifs to swf file formats simply by
exporting to Flash from within Image Ready. The same pretty much
    goes for Illustrator as well.
    2. There are a number of tools available online that can
convert gifs to swf format. A quick search in google came up with a
ton of companies/software developers who have made various tools
    available.

  • Multiple Breeze presentations in one "Course"

We need to take multiple Breeze presentations grouped
together into separate sections of a single online "course" that
can perform basic tracking with a our LMS. Our LMS does not support
multiple au AICC courses so that kind of leaves us with SCORM.
We can output Breeze as SCORM but we always get a single self
contained SCORM course . We cannot find a way to have Breeze output
a presentation as a Sharable Content Object (SCO) that we could use
to include in a SCORM course with multiple lessons.
Does Macromedia (or anyone else) have a way tol take n-number
Breeze presentations and ceeate a single deliverable with n-number
of sections? Can multiple Breeze presentations be grouped together
    for presentation?

    Don't know about that program.
In dreamweaver, you need to define a site for each project.
so if you have two sites, two site definitions.

  • Why isn't Breeze Presenter sold seperately?

Breeze Presenter is an excellent tool that satisfies a common
and growing requirement in the market (publishing voice-over
presentations on websites). Unfortunately Breeze Presenter is
frustratingly hard to buy as Adobe has chosen to tie the Presenter
product to Breeze Communication Server, a product that is only sold
on a (significant) subscription basis, which makes Breeze Presenter
hard to use for the masses. You can buy Breeze Meeting on a
pay-as-you-go basis but you can't use Presenter with a
pay-as-you-go Breeze Meeting account (as there's nowhere to store
    the presentation).
Given that Breeze Presenter is really just an "authoring
tool" for authoring SWF content for Breeze (like the Flash IDE,
Captivate and Authorware) why not sell it in the same way - as a
    stand-alone authoring tool?
It would be very cool to have the ability to publish SWFs of
Powerpoint presentaitons that have voiceovers where you just
publish the presentation as a SWF and delpoy the SWF onto Tomcat or
IIS and you're done. (The Powerpoint equivalent of Flashpaper if
you like.) You don't need Breeze Server for this simple
    requirement.
Or can you do this already?

Nope, I´m not confirming because these are five licences
to author Rapid E-Learning Content out of PPT - no server
connection, nothing else. And I wrote cheaper then 2 Authorware.
This licence model changed from the time where you only could buy
    Presenter with server addition.
Now you could use only the software.

  • Audio Missing in Published Breeze Presentation

Have tried many attempts but still no audio in Published
Breeze Presentation. Do I need to upload the PPC file? But the
breeze central server doesn't allow me to.

The PPC file is your audio file. You need to make sure the
PPT and the PPC file are in the same folder. I know this sounds
stupid, but when you recorded your audio did you listen to a slide
to make sure it recorded correctly.

  • Flash Button In Captivate To Control Breeze Presenter

    Hello everyone,
I would like to create a button in flash that once click,
will automatically advance a slide in the Breeze Presenter. This
button will be in a Captivate simulation that I have. The way my
simulation works is that the user has to click on a start button
(created in flash) in the Breeze Presenter, and the simulation is
opened in a new, full screen window. Once the simulation has
completed, I would like to be able to have the user click a "Close"
button, and then have the movie close, and the Brezze Presenter go
onto the next slide. Any help at all would be GREATLY appreciated.
    Thanks
    Doug

    Doug,
Sorry if I'm coming into this discussion late and I don't
have time right now to look through it from the start. Is a new
window acceptable? Meaning, when the user clicks on the button in
the Breeze presentation, is it okay if a new browser window opens?
If that's the case, then you should be able to just create a button
(it's been a while since I looked at Captivate so I'm not sure if
you can do it in there or not, but at the very least you could do
it in Flash) that opens up a new blank window and accesses the URL
    with the captivate movie.
Actually, I'm glad you asked this, because it gives me
something to consider when I start developing my next round of
elearning courses. I hate the idea of embedding captivates into
powerpoint. This alleviates you from needing to do so, and also
alleviates the size restrictions of ppt:
Upload the captivate-generated swf to the Breeze content
area. You'll need to remember to set permissions appropriately.
Then just copy the URL for that captivate swf and call it via your
button. In flash the button code would look like this:
    myButton_btn.onRelease = function() {
    getURL("
    http://mybreezeserver.com/mySWF",
    "_blank");
If you want to control the appearance of the browser/page
appearance, you'll need to upload the captivate-generated swf (as
described above) along with the calling html file. You do this by
zipping them up together into a zip file and naming the html file:
index.htm. As long as they're zipped up together then Breeze will
be keep the pathing correct for you.
Also, you mention wanting to close the captivate window. I'm
not sure exactly how this is done, but I'm sure at the very least
you could do it via javascript by using the zipped up method above
    - from the Breeze presentation just call the index.htm file, which
calls the swf. Then at the end of the cp swf, have a button that
calls a "browser close" command via javascript. I'm not familiar
with javascript and have admittedly never used this, so I may be
off. Hopefully Marc or someone can chime in.
Of course, if a new blank window is unacceptable to you, then
my suggestions are out the window (no pun intended!). : )

  • Problems viewing Breeze presentations

    Hi
I have prepared a number of breeze presentations using Breeze
    5. I have heard from some individuals that when they try and view
the presentation, their computer freezes. This problem occurs for
    presentations I have produced
    http://mcn.ed.psu.edu/dbm/SPLED404/GenEd/index.htm
    http://mcn.ed.psu.edu/dbm/Light_Reading/index.htm
These individuals are not having problems with Breeze
    presentations produced by Adobe.
    https://admin.adobe.acrobat.com/_a39122978/usingvideoinpresenter/
These individuals have computers and operating systems that
    meet the posted system requirements.
    Any ideas?

I have learned a little more about this problem since I first
posted. These people also have trouble with
    https://admin.acrobat.com/_a40309409/presentervideoexamples,
so it is not just Breeze presentations that I produce.
The video plays, then stops for a few seconds, then resumes.
It is almost like the browser is pausing to look ahead and capture
video, and then play it. The pause can be 15-20 seconds in length
in order to play the next 20 seconds of video
A sample system that is having trouble is a
Dell Optiplex GX620 with a 3 ghz pentium processor running
windows XP. It is running on the backbone at our university. The
problem exists in both Firefox and Explorer
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

  • Old Breeze Presenter content

I have a potential client who is in a bit of a predicament. They have some eLearning content that was originally created by a vendor using Breeze. What options would they have for editing this content now? If they have the source files, would Adobe Presenter work?

Just to be clear, the old published files should work as on-demand object in AC8... right? I have many clients who have "antique" Presenter content, and they have continued to work (for the most part). Obviously they won't work in the meeting room, which is AS3, but I didn't think it would make a difference for the on demand or asynchronous content.
And if you have the source files, you can open them in PPT with Presenter 7.0.7 and they will convert. I have doe this with Presenter 6 content.

  • Graphics Distortion in Presenter 7 and Breeze

I am new to using Breeze, my company uses it. I noticed that the graphics in our .ppt presentations are blurry quite often when we publish the Breeze presentations. We usually insert .gif or .jpg graphics (usually screen shots of applications). I decided to give Presenter 7 and PowerPoint 2007 a try to see if that resolved our issue. It did not.
Does anyone know what we should be doing with static graphics to improve the quality of the graphics (make them crisp instead of blurry) in the final product?

    Rachael,
Quick question: are you using any special stylizing/treatment of your graphics in PowerPoint?  I ask becuase I've seen instances where using effects like drop shadows, glows, etc, (which are available in PPT 07) actually result in low-quality, often blurry, graphics after publishing to Presenter content.
Same goes for taking screen shots and then applying lines/strokes to those graphic elements; it just introduces more .jpg artifacts rendering the graphics practically useless.
I should also mention that after hours of testing, I've also witnessed grouped objects in PPT look blurry after publishing, so I typically look to ungroup whatever/whenever possible.  If that can't be done, then usually it means a trip to Illustrator or Photoshop to manipulate my graphics.
Bottom line, any time specialized treatment is necessary you may have to look outside of PPT to create your graphics; then import as usual and see if that helps any.
In any event, just thought I'd throw that out there.

  • Presentation copyright question

Hello, I was wondering what others do about copyright issues
with PowerPoints that have been converted to a breeze presentation,
or what you might reccommend. It seems like a lot of our presenters
put things like dilbert cartoons, or movie clips into thier PPTs,
but I am concerned about putting them on the web using presenter
    due to copyright issues.
Any suggestions or anyone want to share experiences. I don't
want to go overboard and just axe all my speakers PowerPoints which
    use such material.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Uvadev:
This is a difficult area to provide any substantive guidance
    on. As
you're probably already aware, there is a lot of information
    on the
web regarding the "Fair Use" law. I found this article on the
    Nolo
Press site to be a good introduction on the topic:

If you work for a medium to large sized company, your company
    may
already have established procedures for the use of
    copyrighted
materials. If so, I would certainly recommend consulting with
    your
legal department to see what they recommend.
    Hope this helps!

  • Bookmarking no longer working after upgrading Presenter

I just upgraded my Breeze Presenter to version 5.1.269 to fix
a few bugs that had propped up in when we upgraded PowerPoint to
the 2003 version. Well I fixed mouse timing problems but I now have
a problem with bookmarking in my LMS. I publish all my Breeze
pieces on Docent 6.5 and I have never had a problem with bookmarks,
but now every PowerPoint I publish always resumes from the initial
frame. this is a huge problem for me because many of my Breeze
courses are well over 50 frames.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,
We had this problem, too. As you know, Breeze allows you to
offer presentations online in two forms: as a "course" (one item,
max), and as a "curriculum" (multiple items). Breeze doesn't have
any trouble remembering where the student left off when the
presentation is in a course, but it apparently can't keep track of
    it when in a curriculum.
The solution was simple: Make all the Breeze presentations
into courses, then add those courses to the curriculum, instead of
adding the presentation directly. The student will never know the
difference and, as an added benefit, you can get cumulative data
reports by looking at the course (if your presentation is part of
more than one curriculum - especially useful for cumulative "who's
    completed it" lists).
Now, if they'd only let us add curriculums to curriculums....

  • Aicc not working in Connect Presenter 6

I'm having trouble getting Adobe Connect Presenter (Breeze)
v6 to work on Plateau v4.5.
We've been using Breeze 3.07 for 5 years so I should know how
    to set it up.
In Plateau LMS I've created an AICC Configuration for Breeze
Presenter, created a Plateau Source ID called Breeze Presenter, set
the Content Object Developer Tool field to Breeze Presenter, set
the Content Object as AICC. The content plays, but the content
won't mark completed when played through Plateau. I've also tried
setting the Item Source Id to either MACROMEDIA BREEZE or SKILLSOFT
and the Content Object Developer Tool field to MACROMEDIA BREEZE or
SKILLSOFT and that doesn't work either. I don't know if the new
version of Breeze has a different port number to communicate to
Plateau, should be port 80. I'm on a test box and I was able to get
AICC working between Breeze 3.07 and Plateau 4.5, but it doesn't
work for Breeze 6 to Plateau 4.5. I sent the course to Plateau,
waiting to hear back. Haven't heard from Adobe for a day, support
is not very timely. I spoke to someone that said they went through
this for a month, bagged Breeze and went to Articulate. Any
    suggestions?

That problem isn't related to Private Browsing specifically, that's how Firefox works with regards to multiple "sessions" with the same server - only one logon is allowed at any time. Try using one of these extensions to be able to run multiple session cookies.

  • Using linked flv content in swf file -for deployment on Breeze server

Can anyone tell me the procedure for creating swf and linked
flv file with Sorenson Squeeze for deployment on the Breeze server
or in Breeze Presenter? All Adobe will share is the how to this
with Flash. I feel certain this can be done but all my attempts
have failed to have the swf show the referred flv link. To
interpret the Flash procedure, it seems that all one has to do is
add /output "file name" to the swf player flve linked url, but the
published flv file only shows a white screen. It does not seem to
load the linked flv file - even if I have allowed public viewing of
    the flv content.

The procedure may be the same - I'm pretty familiar wit h
that by now - but the results are not. I think the key difference
is that the linked file url addendum "/output/filename" required
from Breeze when creating the linked flv url call-out from the swf
file, does not work is advertised in Sorenson Squeeze. Before
attempting to insert this linked swf file in Presenter, I have
attempted to elicit the same interactivity just by uploading the
fwo files to the Breeze server. Sorenson does not seem to be able
to recognize that additional linked url with the additional "output
/ file name" addendum that Breeze requires. I have replicated that
same procedure in Flash 8 and the results work perfectly. I just
don't like being forced to use a 900 lb gorilla like Flash 8 to
create this simple task when a less costly program like Sorenson is
squeeze should work correctly. Frankly, I think a lot of other
Breeze authors, who are not as adept with this video encoding
process, or who want to be using a developer tool like Flash to
create their video clips. My experience with our users is that that
most shy away from using video in Breeze because it is way too
cumbersome. - Something Adobe should consider before more prospects
move over to another similar authoring program that has actually
dedicated itself to advancing their authoring software
    capabilities.

  • Attachment/Link woes in Presenter

I'm having issues with attachments and links in Presenter. We
are publishing locally and not necessarily using the LMS to
    distribute the courseware.
I have read the online help file's disclaimer and the
TechNote about attachments not working in locally-published
presentations. Is there ANY way around this? The "workaround" they
give in the technote/helpfile is not working for me (create a
hyperlink within PPT that links to the file on a network drive.) I
think I'm not fully understanding how "links" are supposed to work
within a Presenter file. Any help would be appreciated.
The two things I want to do are:
    1) Have hyperlinks to our company's intranet, actually work
    within Presenter slides. (These are
http:// links within the PPT slides.) They work
for me, but not for others. (Is it a Flash Player security
    setting??)
    2) Have users be able to launch a .PDF attachment from the
Attachments (paperclip) button. I really don't care where it's
stored -- with the Presenter file on the intranet? Somewhere on our
    network? Wherever it works.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Rob posted the answer a while back.... here it is:

looking at a couple of decks from other folks. I apologize in
advance for the long reply here, but there are points that I
    believe warrant explaining.
First, a couple of items to get out of the way:
    1. Using Presenter 6.0 build 432, using MS PowerPoint 2007
    and I published locally.
    2. Set up links to pdfs, html pages and MS Word 2007, with
the word file saved as a Word 2003 with ".doc" extension.
The hyperlink method within PowerPoint needs to be massaged
just a bit in order for the pathing to be rectified when the deck
is published. As far as I can tell, what I recently discovered is
that Presenter 6.0 likes to have
ALL associated files living within the
    resources folder within the
data directory of published presentations. After several
rounds of tests, here's the process I used to acheive the results
    and what I found:
I set up a project file and associated directories as
mentioned in my earlier post above. Bottom line: I have a project
folder that contains my ppt deck. Within that project folder, I
    have another folder called
"localPublish". Lastly, inside the localPublish directory I
    created one last folder called
"extAssets". The extAssets folder contains all my external
assests (pdfs, docs, html, etc). And for the sake of being clear,
I'm hoping that its obvious to everyone that the localPublish
folder will utlimately contain the published presentation. Think of
it this way: the extAssets directory is nested in the same location
of the published deck; this way, if you have to republish your ppt
file, the contents within the extAssets folder will NEVER be messed
    with!
That said, to resolve the error in pointing to a bogus url, I
simply redirected a hyperlink in powerpoint:
    ../../extAssets/myWordDoc.doc
Once I republished the file and tested the playback, the word
document loaded and displayed properly (after waiting for Word to
launch of course!). Bottom line, it's working, and fortunately all
it took was a redirection of the link pointing to the asset I want
to display. Also, I tried publishing 2 ways: to my project folder
as well as the default My Adobe Presentations folder.
In both cases, each presentation had resolved links to
    external files.
Again, I think that Presenter 6.0 is looking for assets
originating in the resources directory by default; by using the
"../../" syntax, we're telling Presenter to look 2 directories up
and out of the Resources folder. This redirection forces the
browser to hunt down the file outside of the Data folder and should
    display the file(s) successfully.
Because I absolutely hate testing in an isolated manner (no
to mention sounding like a complete idiot if this doesn't work for
others!), what I'd like folks to do if possible: retype the
hyperlink as indicated above. Please test this yourselves and
    report your findings here.
    Again, I hope that helps!
