BRF+ in NW 701: Adding an expression in a ruleset-specific rule

Hi,
I'm running BRFPlus in NW 701 (FDT_WORKBENCH) and I'm aware that, this version has several limitations
For example, in a ruleset-specific rule, I'm not able to add a ruleset variable nor to add a new expression operation as rule operation.
Is there any kind of workaround or I need BRF+ in NW 702 only?
Thank you in advance.
Kind Regards,
Andrea

Hi Andrea,
I am sorry but there is no workaround and it is pretty unlikely that those features will be ported into 701.
A workaround could be to run BRFplus in 702 on a separate machine and connect by RFC. Or have the logic in ABAP abd only call into BRFplus for decision tables, formulas..
BR,
Carsten

  • Added AirPort express to extreme but my iPad does not see the express

    I wanted to extend my network due to "dead spots" in the house and patio but no change after adding the AirPort express to my extreme. It set up fine and both with a green light but the bars on the iPad have not changed. It still has a slow connection despite being in the same room as the express. I set it up as a N-device (the express) per the instructions to extend a network. Our home phone is 5.8GHz & should not interfere. Apple Tv & iPhone 4 work but did before. What have I missed??

    It sounds like the Express is not "extending" Quick check points:
    On the AirPort Extreme
    Open AirPort Utility - click Manual Setup
    Click the Wireless tab below the icons
    Make sure that there is a check mark next to "Allow this network to be extended"
    Update to save any changes
    On the AirPort Express
    Open AirPort Utility - click Manual Setup
    Click the Wireless tab
    Wireless Mode = Extend a wireless network
    Wireless Network Name = Same name as the Extreme network
    Make sure there is a check next to "Allow wireless clients"
    Security = Same setting as Extreme
    Password = Same as Extreme
    Update to save any changes
    If you have a laptop handy, turn off the wireless on the laptop and temporarily connect it to the ethernet port on the Express with an ethernet cable. Open your browser. If your Express is "extending", you will have internet access.

  • Adding Airport Express to working G5 Linksys WRG setup for music...issues

    Problem: G5 is "connecting" to wireless linksys network but no longer getting IP address (nor connecting to network to configure AX and itunes doesn't see remote speakers) Using DHCP, can see Mac addresses on Linksys web configure screens.
    It worked fine prior to adding AX. I had the G5 connecting to Linksys Network WRG wireless router accesspoint through to DSL modem. This has worked fine for months. Also connect to this network with WinPC. All using WPA Personal security password.
    CD Player died, so I purchased the Airport Express to play music to my stereo.
    I did get the Airport Express configured...although many tries. I had to turn on broadcast of network name or SID in the Linksys webconfig. Music did play from G5 but I somehow lost the ability to connect to internet. Firefox gave "cannot connect" message. (Safari Network Diagnostics cannot fix issue) When I stopped and restarted the Airport(on G5) the music quit playing. Still have green light on Express. WinPC still works fine as well, HOWEVER:
    G5 says that either(depending on which Im trying) that Airport is connected to "wireless network name" but doesn't have ip address OR that ethernet is connected but doesn't have ip address. I see on linksys that the mac addresses are "on". I've restarted everything, I've trashed the sys config folder and restarted G5...still same issue. Again WinPc works fine. Using DHCP...
    Any ideas on how to get my G5 back on network? and then I can try to have the AX work again.
    No tunes, and now no internet...help?
    This is posted on IMAC G5 forum but it was suggested I post here for Express expertise. THANKS.

    I would suggest getting your Internet connection back first, and then, adding the AX for streaming iTunes.
    Try the following...
    Modem/Router Power ReCycling
    - Power-off the DSL/Cable modem, Internet Router, & computer(s). (Wait at least 30 minutes. If possible, leave the modem off overnight.)
    - Power-on the DSL/Cable modem; Wait at least 30 minutes.
    - Power-on the Internet Router; Wait at least 5 minutes.
    - Power-on the computer(s)
    Typical Linksys Router Setup - Cable
    - Access the Linksys web-based setup at 192.168.1.1 (or whatever address your router is set at) using a web browser. The default username is blank & password is "admin."
    Setup tab
    - LAN IP Address: 192.168.1.1
    - Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
    - WAN Connection Type: Obtain an IP automatically
    - Apply (if you make changes)
    Status tab
    - WAN (all the values here should be populated by your ISP)
    DHCP tab
    - DHCP Server: Enable
    - Starting IP Address: 192.168.1.n, where n should be greater than 1
    - Number of DHCP Users: n, where n should reflect the realistic number of concurrent clients that you plan on having connected to the router at any given time.
    - Client Lease Time: 0
    - DNS 1, 2, 3: <leave at default>
    - WINS: <leave at default>
    - Apply (if you make changes)
    Advanced - Filters tab
    - Filtered Private IP Range: <leave at default>
    - Filtered Private Port Range: <leave at default>
    - Block WAN Request: Enable
    - Multicast Pass Through: Enable
    - IPSec Pass Through: Enable
    - PPTP Pass Through: Enable
    - Remote Management: Disable
    - Remote Upgrade: Disable
    - MTU: Disable
    - Filter Internet NAT Redirection: Enable
    - Filter IDENT(port 113): Enable
    - Apply (if you make changes)
    - Leave all the other tabs at their respective default settings.
    Connect your G5 directly, using an Ethernet cable, to one of the LAN ports of the Linksys router. Can you access the Internet now?

  • Adding two expressions in ADF Groovy

    Hi All,
    I want to add two expressions in Groovy given as below. Is a Groovy reference link available for starters. Basically the below expression gives eg: "3+4" instead of 7.
    #{bindings.DefibrillationNoAmsShocks.inputValue}+#{bindings.DefibrillationNoOtherShocks.inputValue}
    Thanks

    What is the datatype of the attributes DefibrillationNoAmsShocks, DefibrillationNoOtherShocks?
    In Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4, If the datatype is of type oracle.jbo.domain.Number, both these expressions provides the desired results:
    "#{bindings.DefibrillationNoAmsShocks.inputValue.value + bindings.DefibrillationNoOtherShocks.inputValue.value}"
    "#{bindings.DefibrillationNoAmsShocks.inputValue.data + bindings.DefibrillationNoOtherShocks.inputValue.data}"Thanks,

  • Added airport express to extreme to extend wifi

    but not getting added range. I have the airport extreme as the base with the box checked to allow extended network.

    Hi, not quite sure since I don't have that setup, but it sounds like you may still be trying to join/connect to the original one.
    Instead of joining it from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network, see if there's a new one to join. Fill in everything as needed.

  • Adding Airport Express to an existing Windows WEP enabled wireless network

    I have can't find anything to help me add my new Airport Express to my existing WEP network. All I want is to use to play my Itunes through the sitting room stereo. I've upgraded the firmware on my Netgear 802.11b wireless access point so I can have a 13 digit WEP password. I've installed the latest install software from the apple website for the express box.
    I can access the express box fine on its own but not add it to the existing network. Now the only thing that works is the apple connection! My old wireless network has stopped working. I tried the same at my office yesterday and the only way to resolve the situation was to uninstall all the Apple software and then my Wireless network was able to work again. I'm pulling my hair out here and getting in to trouble with the rest of the family because it is taking so much time up!
    Someone mentioned somewhere some new firmware - I can only find one for MAcs not PCs - I don't have any Macs on my network.
    Please help.
    THANKS

    Make sure you have installed at least Airport 4.1 on your PC:
    http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/airport41forwindows.html
    Most Netgear wireless routes will tell you the hex equivalent of the plain text WEP password you enter into it - and this is found using the same web browser based process you use to configure the router. This information cannot be found by any other means (like "pinging" the router's IP address). If you can get the WEP key in this manner, configure the Airport Express with the same WEP key *while it is still cabled to the router*.
    The alternative is to come up with a 26-digit hex format WEP key of your own choosing. You can then wirelessly access the Airport Express and enter that WEP key on it first, followed by doing the same on the router second.

  • Adding EL expression to train skip property

    Is there a way I can get JHeadstart to populate the skip property of a train stop ? If not, what is the best way to preserve an EL expression entered manually ?
    Cheers,
    Brent

    Brent,
    No, we don;t have decalartive support for thos yet. You can customize groupAdfcConfig.vm to implement this.
    Using the custom group properties in the application definition, you could do this in a generic way:
    #if ($JHS.current.group.wizardBaseGroup)
    <train-stop>
    #if ($page.itemRegion)
    <display-name>#REGION_TITLE($page.itemRegion)</display-name>
    #elseif ($page.regionContainer)
    <display-name>#REGION_TITLE($page.regionContainer)</display-name>
    #else
    <display-name>#GROUP_TITLE($page.group)</display-name>
    #end
    *<skip>${page.group.property1}</skip>*
    </train-stop>
    #end
    The you can specify the boolean skip expression in the first custom property of the group.

  • Adding an expression to Source Text breaks alignment?

    This is a big WTF for me.
    I have a text layer. I center-align the text in it. The moment I add an expression to its Source Text (even the default text.sourceText) it becomes left-aligned and REFUSES to go to center-aligned. Huh?! This seems like a very common thing, so what am I missing? Is there something else I need to do in the expression to get it to be center aligned?
    Thanks!

    I use this expression:
    type = text.sourceText;
    m = thisComp.marker.nearestKey(time);
    sentences = type.split("\r");
    n = m.index;
    if (time < thisComp.marker.nearestKey(time).time) {n = n-1}
    if (n>=sentences.length){n=sentences.length-1}
    if (n<1){n=1}
    line = sentences[n];
    line
    When I edit the text, it's perfectly aligned, but when the text gets split up by the expression, everything aligns to the left.
    Hope you have an idea why?

  • Adding apple express

    Hi,
    I have an ATT 2Wire modem/router that is hard-wired to a time capsule. The TC is in bridge configuration and the 2 networks (ATT g and TC a-b-g-n) seem to be playing nicely, ie no radio signal conflicts. The 2Wire network is named one thing and has its own WPA2 passcode and the TC network has its own different name and different passcode. I choose the strongest network signal between the 2 when I am connecting wirelessly around the house with laptops, ipads and other devices.
    Now, I would like to add a hard-wired Apple Express to the network to try and ameliorate poor signal coverage in an area of our older home. I have run the cable to an area that I hope will be a good "repeater" location.
    My question is that I assume that the AX will not extend the signal of the 2Wire Modem since it probably doesn't speak apple so should I connect the cat5 cable from one of the LAN ports on the TC to the LAN on the AX? I was planning to go to Airport Utility and have the AX join the Apple TC network and give it the same SSID info and passcode and such. Does that sound like a viable plan?
    Thanks in advance for any help.
    SJ

    Open AirPort Utility, select the AX and click Manual Setup
    Click the Base Station tab to name the device, establish a device password, set Time Zone.
    Click the Wireless tab and adjust as follows:
    Wireless Mode = Create a wireless network
    Wireless Network Name = Same name as Time Capsule network
    Check mark next to Allow this network to be extended
    Radio Mode = Automatic or 802.11n (802.11 b/g compatible)
    Channel = Automatic
    Wireless Security = Same setting as the Time Capsule network
    Wireless Password = Same password as the Time Capsule network
    Verify Password
    Click the Internet icon, the click the Internet Connection tab
    Connect Using = Ethernet
    Connection Sharing = Off (Bridge Mode)
    Update to save settings, wait 45 seconds for a green light on the AX
    Then, power off the entire network...all devices
    Wait a minute
    Start the ATT gateway first for a minute
    Start the Time Capsule next the same way
    Start the AX the same
    Keep starting devices until everything is powered back up

  • Adding airport express to a hard wired network

    New to all this stuff......
    I have a hardwired network around the house from a Netgear router (the wireless component of which I have never managed to get working despite various appliances recognising that a wireless network exists but cant connect to it) and multiple ethernet ports around the house (by way of a switch on each of the three floors of the house). Hard wired network seems to work OK.
    Recently bought iphone 4. Was assured in Apple shop that if I got an Airport Express I could plug it into one of my ethernet outlets and use my iphone in the vicinity of that Airport.
    Must have configured it incorrectly or something.... All I get is 'unable to connect to network'
    Any suggestions
    Thanks in advance
    Rob

    You are correct that I got the AXn because I could never
    get the Netgear wireless to work. Also correct that I am
    using the netgear ethernet ports to be the main router
    from the internet. My system is a little more complicated
    in that my cable broadband enters the house on the first
    floor (US 2nd floor) and plugs in to netgear router. A
    single ethernet cable goes upstairs to a switch from which
    four other ethernet cables run out to ethernet ports on
    the top floor. Another single ethernet cable goes
    downstairs to another switch from which another four
    ethernet outlets are fed (and it is to one of these that
    the AXn is plugged in). The ethernet ports on the first
    floor currently each have their own plug in points on the
    router (no switch involved) but I may have to add a third
    switch to serve the first floor as I have run out of
    ethernet plugin points on the router to have all the
    ethernet ports dotted around the first floor that I want.
    Hope this is making sense.
    Your instruction re Airport utilities did not quite pan
    out as I expected.
    The Airport Utilities > > > >Wireless tab was as described
    and mine already conformed to the settings you suggested.
    Internet > Internet Connection ......
    Under 'Internet connection' I have 'connect using:
    ethernet and Connection sharing: Off (Bridge Mode)
    and that is all under Internet connections but under
    TCP/IP I have Configure IPv4: Using HDCP
    I have not found anything relating to Ethernet WAN port.
    However also under TCP/IP is the IP adddress, Subnet mask,
    Router address all with their respective numbers.
    Also there is DNS server (greyed out the same number as
    the router address)
    also Domain name: which is blank
    and DHCP Client ID:which is blank.
    If you abandoned me at this point I would understand.
    Thanks in advance for your time.

  • Adding Airport Express to D-Link wireless network

    We have a D-Link wireless router given us by our ISP. I have an Xbox 360. I'd like to take one of our Airport Expresses, and connect the 360 via Ethernet cable to the Airport Express, while the Airport Express joins the D-Link's network, thus giving my 360 wireless internet.
    We used to accomplish this using another Airport Express instead of the D-Link, but for our own reasons, we now need to use the D-Link.
    Is there a way to add the Express to the network for this purpose?

    "Is there a way to add the Express to the network for this purpose?"
    Yes, configure the Express to "Join" the wireless network created by the D-Link and check the "enable ethernet clients" box. Post back if you need step by step on this configuration.
    It's possible that this may work OK for you if you have a strong, fast wireless network. But, you may also want to consider that this would be quite a way down on the list of most desirable ways to connect the 360 to your network.
    For the best video quality, suggested in order of preference:
    Ethernet cable from one of the LAN ports on your router to the 360
    Ethernet powerline adapter at the router end and another adapter at the 360 end
    Wireless from your D-Link to the 360's wireless-if it will accept a wireless connection
    Wireless from your D-Link to the Express. Ethernet from the Express to the 360
    Would be interested in your feedback on your experience if you use the Express.

  • Adding Airport Express to Existing Windows Wireless Network

    My fiance has an existing Windows wireless network. I have an Airport Express I want to add to the network so I can "broadcast" my iTunes (or her's) through a powered speaker system in another room?
    My question is...is that possible? And if so, how?
    I've tried running my Airport Setup Assistant and restarting the Airport Express to no avail and would appreciate any suggestions.

    Connect to the wireless network connected to the net (ie the (so-called) Windows wireless network**.
    Having hard reset the Airport Express, run the Assistant and configure a new base station and configure it to connect to the existing wireless network.
    ** There is no such thing as a Windows wireless network, as 802.11b/g is the same standard used by Apple and other wireless router manufacturers, it is not Windows specific in any way.

  • Adding Airport Express to Existing Airport Extreme Network

    I have a wireless network created by an Airport Extreme which works well but with a disppointingly small range so I bought an Airport Express with the intention of extending the original network by using the Express as a repeater (which the chap in Regent Street store told me it could do).
    However when I try to join the Express to the existing Extreme network, the Airport Express does not even recognise my Airport Extreme network - do I need to connect the two via ethernet cable for this to work and, if so, what is the point of being wireless?

    Ok, thanks for clarifying.
    Let's double-check your extended network configuration.
    o Temporarily connect both the MacBook and the 802.11n AirPort Express Base Station (AXn) directly to an available LAN (opposing-arrows) port of the 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn) for the setup phase. Once done, move them to their desired locations.
    o Open AirPort Utility and select the AEBSn.
    o Choose Manual Setup from the Base Station menu.
    o Click AirPort in the toolbar, and then click Wireless.
    o Choose “Create a wireless network” from the Wireless Mode pop-up menu, and then select the “Allow this network to be extended” checkbox.
    o Next, select the AXn, and choose Manual Setup.
    o Choose “Extend a wireless network” from the Wireless Mode pop-up menu, and then choose the network (the one created by the AEBSn) you want to extend from the Network Name pop-up menu.
    o Enter the base station network and base station password is necessary.
    o Click Update to update the base station with new network settings.

  • Adding Airport express to network

    Hi,
    Ok basically I have a BT BUSINESS HUB as my main router. I wish to add my airport express as a signal improver wirelessly. Ie, I would plug a Ethernet into the airport express and then into a PC.
    What is the best way to set up the airport up with the BT BUSINESS HUB.
    Thanks

    Hello dotthedot. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
    It sounds like what you're trying to do is establish a Wireless Distribution System (WDS) between the BT Business Hub and the AirPort Express Base Station (AX). Unfortunately, most non-AirPort routers are not compatible with Apple's implementation of WDS...so it very unlikely that your BT router can be extended wirelessly with the AX.
