Bricked 4s after attempting iOS 7.0.2 update

I have an iPhone 4s (16GB) GSM that was with AT&T and I had just unlocked it via AT&T. After I unlocked it I decided to go ahead and update to 7.0.2 to sell it (Now I guess I should have done that first!).
During the update OTA, the progress bar halted and I got Error 47. So, I hooked up to iTunes 11.1.1 and attempted to restore as new. However, now I get Error 36 over and over.
This is the error I am getting from the tail of the iPhoneUpdater log:

Any ideas? I am far away from any Apple store.

I just tried using a windows box and still got the same error. I also tried multiple USB cables.

A restore from backup will not affect your data. You restore the phone and then restore the backup that you have made. Make the backup before you start the restore. If you restore as new, yes it will delete all of the data on your device.

Please i need some help, my encyclopedia off-line app in spanish doesn't open after the iOS 5 update. I mean it opens, but after a second it shuts off. All other app work perfect, an i have tried everything, restart my ipod, restart the app, eliminate the app and downloaded again, download other apps, and nothing seems to work. What can i do, please help me, this app is the main reason why a i bought my itouch

Did you do a restart or a reset?
Do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears)
If that didn't help, you have to write to/wait for the developer to update the software.

After the iOS 5.1.1 update,I can't connect to Bluetooth on our iPads

SInce the iOS 5.1.1 update I can no longer connect to our Bose Sounddock via Bluetooth on both of our iPads. I can still connect to the Sounddock via bluetooth with my iPhone as I have not completed the iOS upgrade. The speaker still works because i have obtained a hard line connection to the iPads and via bluetooth to the iPhone as discussed. Any suggestions?

Jail-broken iPhone 4S won't come out of recovery mode after attempted ios 7 update

So I've had my jail-broken iPhone for a while and decided to go for the ios 7. After deleting 200 songs, 400 pictures & videos, and countless apps and other useless data to get the necessary free space to upgrade, I was finally able to download it. It went into recovery mode (showed the iTunes logo and the USB cord) shortly afterward. I plugged in my iPhone to my laptop, iTunes came up, but as I tried to restore the phone to upgrade to the ios 7, an error appeared saying the "iPhone software update server could not be contacted or is temporary unavailable". I've tried a LOT of stuff, from simply restarting my laptop to trying DFU mode like 200 times, and it keeps saying the same thing. Now I'm basically phoneless because it won't come out of recovery mode.
Does this have anything to do with it being jailbroken and not backed up prior to attempting to upgrade? Please help!

Yes, it is directly related to j'breaking it. And as such, you will get no further support from Apple and we cannot help you either. Use an internet search to try to find a solution elsewhere.

IPhone won't turn on after attempting iOS 5 update?

Hi! So, I was trying to update my iPhone 4, but after everything had finished downloading and backing up, the "SIM card is not supported" message came up, so I turned my phone off, and tried to turn it on again, but it wouldn't. I tried to do that home button + lock button thing, but even that isn't working. My phone isn't jailbroken or unlocked as far as I know, but it was an Apple store replacement after my last one started having problems. My phone has never shown any problems before and my last update was complete fine.

I had same issue with replacement iPhone 4 and got it replaced last week. Tried update tonight and same issue sim card not supported!! Apple guys at store had no idea and told me to go to ATT to get new sim card but I said no let's test sim card here. We did and sim card was fine. We then tried his sim card on my phone and it was not recognized! Do the same to get new phone but don't update iOS 5. Until they fix it. I heard it's a bad bunch of replacement phones with serial code issues which is exposed after update. Good luck!

Help! iPhone 4s in Recovery Mode after new IOS 7.1.1 update.

I went to update my iphone 4s earlier to IOS 7.1.1 and now it's in recovery mode. My issue with that is I keep trying to download the update on my computer so it can do the recovery and every time it gets to fully download (which bc I have a ****** internet company it takes hours to get there) I get an error message. IDK what else to do. Is there a way I can bypass the update and just run the recovery mode with the 7.1.0 update? I don't know what else to do. This is the first time I've had issues like this with this phone and I've had it over 3 years now.

Don't know if this will help but when I updated to 4.0.2 my phone gave me an error and bricked.
I made a new user on my computer, installed itunes and then was able to update my phone without it erroring. Once I had a working phone I went back to the old user and updated my phone with all of the information that was there before. I lost a few things but had a working phone.
Since then I have not had a problem with updating it in the old user. You might see if it will help with you all.

My phone won't make or receive calls or send text messages after the iOS 8.1.1 update.

My phone will no longer make or receive calls and I can't text after upgrading to iOS 8.1.1. I've tried everything except chucking the phone out the window. Any ideas? I have reset it multiple times, turned it off and back on, reset the network settings, reset all settings, toggled the airplane mode switch, and done a complete factory restoration. What else is there to do? I can't get a new phone for another year.

My wife is having the exact same issue after updating to the new iOS 8.1.1 and we've tried all the same steps even restoring the phone as a new phone. We've contacted our service provider and they've told us to go to apple to potentially "remove" her serial number from their servers to allow it to work properly on the service we have. We are desperate as purchasing a new phone right now is not an option and she desperately needs her phone for work and life.

Having sound issues after recent IOS 6.1.2 update

After updating my Iphone 4s with IOS 6.1.2 the phone does not make any sounds. The headphones work but no sounds of any kind (keyboard, notification, games, music) nothing

Try a hard reset. press the home button and the power button for 30 seconds. once you see the whit apple let it go.
Also, isolate the issue by creating a video and a voice memo. (If theres no sound on either restore as new and then if the issue persists get a replacement.)
lastly, check to make sure the mute button is not on at the top left of the device( no red should be showing)

Volume and Lock buttons stopped working after new iOS 4.3.3 update (ipod 4th gen)

After I updated my ipod with the iOS 4.3, the volume and lock buttons stopped working.
This has happened before and it'sprobably one of the most annoying problems ever.
The lock button tends to stop working but then works again only when it wants to, but the volume buttons dont work at all.
When the locked button worked again I turned it off and turned it on again, but it didnt fix the problem.
I've pretty much tried everything that I've read and nothing seems to work.
So now, I don't know what to do.
Should I take it to a random apple store or to where I bought it from?
It seems that it's happening to almost everyone, so at least I'm not the only one and maybe someone can help me out

If you have restored in iTunes on a computer and the problem remains then it's a hardware fault and it needs to be repaired. When you update the iOS version on an iOS device it checks the hardware components, this is when it'll detect un-diagnosed hardware faults and the components will stop working... even if they were working previously
