Bridge 1.0 removal
I'm sorry if this question has already been asked; I have done a forum search with no luck finding an answer.
I primarily use Production Premium CS3 and Adobe Bridge CS3 (ver. 2.1.1.9). I also use Adobe Audition 2.0 that came as part of Production Studio Premium since Audition no longer ships with production Premium. However, as part of the installation of Production Studio (even though I only select to install Audition), Bridge 1.0 is also installed. There is no option not to install Bridge 1.0 and also no option to remove it since it is bundled with Production Studio.
Although I guess it does not hurt my system I would still like to remove Bridge 1.0 (since I am using CS3) since it serves no purpose being installed. Is there any safe way to do this?
Thanks in advance.
Do a search of the knowledgebase search for uninstall Bridge 1. There are several entries on manual methods. You can see if it is worth the effort.

Has the "Bridge" button been removed completely from Photoshop CS6?
I made regular use of the bridge shortcut button, much preferring the full application to the "mini-bridge" in CS5. I realise that this has been updated in CS6, but this is just not up to my normal workflow use of bridge.
Yes. The Application Bar, which the Bridge icon sat on, has been removed to free up real estate. Bridge can now be launched from the File menu (which has a corresponding shortcut), or through Mini Bridge itself. There's a Bridge icon on the right side.

Bridge button no longer in Photoshop CS6
I have seen discussions about this subject already but so far there has not been a satisfactory answer. People are asking why the bridge button was removed from Photoshop, as we use it quite frequently to move between Photoshop and Bridge. The answer that been provided is that it was removed to make more screen room, which is clearly not true. In version 5.1 the Bridge button is located on the "file" menu bar at the very top of the screen and so it has absolutely no effect on the amount of available screen space. I think that we would greatly appreciate it if this button were put back in and Adobe would quit making excuses as to why it was removed in the first place. Clearly it was not to create more screen space.
Also, the Bridge button is still there in InDesign CS6. So, why not do the same for Photoshop?
Thanks,
-Pat
ps: Or, you could always allow users to have the option of allowing it or not by adding an option to the preferances. More user control of the interface would be nice anyway.PhotoGene47 wrote:
You can open Bridge and change the file associations in Edit>File Type Associations to change to PS CS6. That is the easiest way. Another way would be to open Control Panel>Programs>Default Programs to change the file association for .jpeg, .psd., .tif, et cetera.
For your info, and others, this does not work in situations were the file associations become corrupted by uninstalling a previous version. The mechanism for corruption is not quite clear to Adobe, but somehow the registry for file associations gets reset to the version that was deleted. Since the normal methods of changing file associations, that you mention, do not affect the registry file in question, the problem still remains. Therefore one needs to wipe files with the Adobe Script Cleaner or go in and change the registry. -
i have install PS CC on my Macbook 10.9.4 (incl. Bridge CC). And now, where is the minibridge? There is no icon or list!!! Please help me! Thank you!

Bridge CS5 Unloading Thumbnails?
Hiya.
Any idea why Bridge would systematically remove thumbnails? Is it just rebuilding the cache I purged? If so, why don't I see the thumbnails returning?
When the thumbnails disappear, I lose the ability to preview the images as well. And yet, they open just fine on a double-click (so I know the files, themselves, aren't somehow corrupted).
Anyone ever see this behavior?
Thanks!
-Greg (Win 7, 64-bit), latest ver of BridgeThanks, Curt. I'm actually surprised by this because I had just purged my cache not one day earlier. Still, I'll try compacting
and see what that does.

Hi guys,
I am new to Adobe Creative Cloud. I just installed Ps, Ai, and Id. The thing is I can't find the Mini Bridge panel where its supposed to be; under Extensions in the Window menu. In fact, the entire Extensions Menu option is disabled.
Can anyone tell me how I can activate Mini Bridge?
Thanks.Adobe announced in April that Mini-Bridge would be removed from CC 2014.
Their rationale is outlined here

Old podcasts in Sony Bridge for Mac
Hi,
I am trying to get rid of old podcasts that are not even on my hard disk or in iTunes anymore but are still being displayed in Sony Bridge, very annoying..
No way of removing them?
Thanks for your support!
BiofidesHi David,
Kept you waiting fort some months (see your reply):
The issue is that Sony Bridge for Mac keeps on displaying podcasts that have long been erased from iTunes and from my hard disk. I thought that Sony Bridge would automatically remove them also from its own fils but it doesn't. So I am stuck with old podcasts in Sony Bridge, or at least the titles of those, and I can't get rid of them in Sony Bridge. Very annoying... (They are displayed in the podcast list in iTunes within Sony Bridge): see for example the 'Arinze podcast' in the schreenshot, included in this post.
Hopefully you get the point now and you can helop me out. Many thanks!

Possible to use a message bridge for access to message copies?
I'd like to be able to consume copies of messages that go across a queue so that they can be validated during testing.
I've been unable to find any mechanisms for authenticated message monitoring which exists in other JMS brokers such as TIBCO EMS and so I'm going down the route of seeing whether a message bridge could help me. My thinking is that I can bridge from QueueA onto TopicA - where the message stays on QueueA and a copy is sent to Topic A which can be safely consumed by the testing tool
First question - is this a workable solution, ie does the message sent to QueueA stay on QueueA until is is consumed normally, or is the message forwarded to the bridged TopicA thus removing the original message?
Second question - I've tried to get a bridge working but encounter an error when trying to use it. The monitoring tab shows the bridge is up OK but I get the exception below in the admin console
<11-Oct-2010 13:55:12 o'clock BST> <Warning> <MessagingBridge> <BEA-200026> <Bridge "Bridge-0" encountered some problems in one of its adapters or underlying systems. It stopped transferring messages and will try to reconnect to the adapters shortly. (The exception caught was javax.resource.ResourceException: Error sending message.)>
Any help and advice appreciated
StuartOne approach is to use a topic; producers send to the topic and both of your application consumer and your auditing consumer consume from the topic. If you have multiple application consumers, you could have a bridge to forward the messages from the topic to a queue and your applications consumers can consume from the queue, while your auditing consumer consumes from the topic.
There is a message life cycle logging capability in WLS JMS, which may be helpful. It can be enabled on a per destination basis. It logs an event in a file when a message is produced, consumed, removed, expired and etc. However the message body is not available in the log. The details can be found at

I'm using Photoshop CC and for some reason i don't have a browse in mini bridge, help!
Does anyone no ho you get the Browse in mini bridge icon so i can drag and drop images without having to browse in bridge for them
As of CC 2014 the mini bridge has been removed. You can install the previous version if you would like to use it.
Or just have the full version of bridge running in the background, and switch between the two programs. Bridge would have been running for mini bridge to work anyways. -
CTIOS, Built-In Bridge and Transfers
Hi All,
I am running into an issue with a remote site. They have about 5 people who have just started to use CTIOS desktop for call routing. The business requirement is that they be recorded like our normal call center, but the recording servers are in El Paso with our CC. We have set up and enabled Built-In Bridge on the phone and set up the recording parameters on the extensions, and the recording is working fine. The issue is that if these agents get a call and need to transfer to a CTIRoute Point they get a busy signal. Our normal agents are able to transfer to the CTIRP's just fine (their calls are being recorded via span-port, and not Built-In Bridge).
I removed Built-In Bridge from our remote agents and now they are able to transfer. I think it has to do with the CTIOS extension being set up with:
Maximum Number of Calls: 2
Busy Trigger: 1
I know we used to have set the agent extensions this way in the past, since we don't want our agents to be offered more than one call. I assume my problem is in Built-In Bridge causing the extension to be "too busy to transfer" but if I crank up the Maximum and Busy thresholds will I have multiple calls coming to the agents?
Thanks for your help
CallManger 7.15
ICM Enterprise 7Hey Seth, long time. Hope you're well. See if this is of any value. Also, have you tried having them transfer to somewhere other than a CTIRP to see if it fails on any type of transfer, either external or to another phone directly.

I have tried everything to remove Bridge CS4, along with ExtendScript Toolkit CS4 and Extension Manager CS4, with no luck. If I try and uninstall Web Standard CS4 it gives me the option to remove Bridge as well and when that completes it claims that Bridge was successfully removed. However, it is still there and I can launch it without issue. I have tried using the CleanScript for CS4 and CS5, neither bring up Bridge as a program to remove. I have uninstalled everything related to Adobe through Windows Add/Remove Programs as well as everything the Adobe CleanScript offers to uninstall and Bridge is still on my system.
Does anyone have any suggestions for removing Bridge from a system. I running Windows XP Pro SP3.Yes, it will.

Hey Everyone,
I'm in need of assistance in either Photoshop CS6, After Effects CS6, or Premiere Pro CS6. I just installed the trials after seeing Russell Brown demo the GoPro Lens Profile correction feature in Camera Raw. Basically what I'm looking to do is make adjustments (in Adobe Camera Raw) to a series of still images (shot with the time-lapse mode on the GoPro) and then either export those stills through Photoshop or Bridge to a temporary movie file that will be imported into a timeline (with other video clips), or import the JPG files (with Camera Raw settings) directly into After Effects or Premiere as an image sequence. The latter would be preferable as it'd avoid the extra step of having to render the intermediate/temporary movie file.
Right now, my current workflow for GoPro time-lapses is:
- use Bridge CS4 to do basic color correction on the still images
- save those as TIF files
- run the TIF files through a custom script to have Hugin 2012.0.0 (open source pano stitcher) remove the fisheye distortion
- open the new TIF image sequence into QuickTime Player 7 (Pro)
- export the image sequence as a QuickTime movie file
- import the movie file into Premiere Elements 10 to place on a timeline with other video clips (as Premiere Elements can't handle the sequence(s) of thousands of still images without crashing)
If I can go directly from Bridge to a timeline, it'd save a lot of processing time (and it'd be much nicer to preview the images in Bridge without the fisheye distortion)!
I can prepare the GoPro JPG files through Adobe Camera Raw in Bridge CS6, though when I go to import the JPEG image sequence into Premiere Pro CS6 or After Effects CS6, none of the Camera Raw settings are applied. If I export the Camera Raw files in Bridge CS6 as DNG files (a step I'd really prefer to avoid) and then import the DNG image sequence into After Effects CS6, the Camera Raw settings are applied except for the Lens Profile settings -- I can pick other cameras but not the GoPro lens profiles when the DNG image sequence loads in After Effects. It also appears that once I open the DNG files in After Effects CS6, I can no longer access the GoPro Lens Profile in Adobe Bridge CS6 -- the list changes to the same list I get in After Effects. Premiere Pro CS6 doesn't let me import the DNG files at all. I've also tried to import the JPG files (as well as the converted DNG files) into an image sequence in Photoshop CS6, though it doesn't allow me to do so (the Image Sequence checkbox is grayed out after I apply the Camera Raw settings in Bridge).
There could be an issue going on with different Camera Raw versions. I didn't have Premiere Pro CS6 installed during my initial testing, though now do notice that the Camera Raw dialog in Bridge CS6 only lets me choose compatibility up to "Camera Raw 7.1 and later" when I choose to export the files as DNG. I thought Camera Raw 8.2 was an option there a couple days ago when I only had installed Photoshop CS6 and After Effects CS6 (though am not 100% certain).
Please let me know if there is some workaround to get the GoPro lens profile Camera Raw corrections applied in an image sequence in one of the Adobe CS6 products (without having to export the files as temporary TIF or JPG files out of Camera Raw). I'd greatly prefer to shorten my current workflow for these files. (I just updated the CS6 trials and have tested all three programs again though I still get the same results described above.)
Does Lightroom 5 have any option to export Camera Raw image sequences as movie files (or any other feature that might help in simplifying my current workflow)? I can't install the trial right now as it's not compatible with OS X 10.6.8. I'd consider upgrading OS X if I knew Lightroom 5 would do what I need, though am waiting for any potential color profile issues to be resolved in OS X 10.9.
I can open the image sequence in Photoshop CS6 if no Camera Raw settings are applied and then use the Lens Correction Filter to apply the GoPro Lens Profile settings, though I really prefer the Camera Raw interface in Bridge for tweaking image settings. As soon as I apply Camera Raw settings to the first image, Photoshop CS6 grays out the image sequence checkbox.
If there isn't a way to take Camera Raw files straight from Adobe Bridge to a timeline, I may stick with my current workflow using CS4 and see what I can do to better automate some of the steps as the TIF export in Bridge, fisheye distortion removal in Hugin, and render in QuickTime Player all take quite a while. I won't mind waiting for all the processing if I can set it and check back on it in later the next day when it's fully complete. Is there a way to have Adobe ExtendScript execute an external shell command (i.e.: a command I could type into the bash shell in Terminal in OS X)? If not, is there a way to call/run an ExtendScript script from the command line and pass a parameter to it that my custom script could use?
Thanks in advance,
MarkCan you zip up a few of your GoPro images, upload them to dropbox.com and post a share link, here, so others can experiment with them, or do you mean this issue is global to all camera models?

Ok, so this was more tedious than I thought it would be, but things actually seem to be working at this point.
Goal: Create a Dual Band network with Time Capsule (N only) and a Linksys WRTSL54GS (B/G)
Time Capsule: 1000BaseT wired, and 802.11N 5Ghz only wireless
Linksys: 100BaseT wired, and 802.11G 2.4Ghz wireless
Airport Utility 5.3.1
Time Capsule v. 7.3
I set Time Capsule up first, following the step by step directions for "Create a wireless network"
802.11N only, 5Ghz
WPA2 Personal
DHCP 192.168.1.1 (kinda important)
This worked fine-tested on a C2D iMac, both thru ethernet and wirelessly thru N. Time Machine backed up fine.
Now the tricky part, configuring the Linksys.( I just want to mention I had to reset this thing completely about 10 times to get it to work, using a miniscrewdriver)
Starting with a freshly reset Linksys, I connected from my MacBook ethernet port to one of the Linksys ethernet ports (Not the WAN)
I disabled Airport
I logged in to 192.168.1.1 using blank for login, admin for password (default for Linksys)
I did the following:
1) Confirmed Internet Connection Type was "Automatic Configuration-DHCP"
2) Changed Network Setup to "DHCP Server-DISABLED"
3) Turned off the Firewall settings in Security (not sure if this is necessary)
4) Changed the Operating Mode from "GATEWAY" to "ROUTER"
5)Changed the SSID to "LinksysG_ONLY" or something like that
After each one of these steps, I had to save the configuration, thru the Linksys browser interface-which blows.
6) Finally, I changed the Local IP Address of the Linksys from 192.168.1.1 to 10.0.1.251 (thanks to Henry B. for that)
7) And....I no longer had access to the Linksys at all! This stumped me for a while, until...
8) I checked my Ethernet settings (in System Preferences/Network): 192.168.1.1 was set as default router address. But my Router (at least for configuration purposes) was now 10.0.1.251, so it could no longer find it.
9) So I added a new Ethernet port (using the "+" sign), called it Ethernet-Linksys. Set it to Manual. Put in an IP of 10.0.1.250, and a Router IP of 10.0.1.251.
10) I got access to the Linksys setup page again! (Note: I'm sure there is an easier way to do this, but this is how I got mine to work )
11) I set up WPA security again, set it to an unused channel (2 in my case), mixed b/g network.
12) Finally, I moved the ethernet cable from my MacBook directly to one of the ethernet ports on the Time Capsule. I did NOT hook up the other end to the WAN on the Linksys (which for some reason I had done 100 times before) I left it in one of the 4 ethernet ports on the Linksys. Repeat, the WAN (ethernet) port remains empty.
13) I then turned Airport back on the MacBook, connected to "LinksysG_ONLY", and...I was online. And everything seems to work.Hi kjk et al,
I've been searching the boards for something like what you have described in such nice detail. Before Time Capsule, I used a Netgear g router connected to the cable modem and an older Apple base station connected to the Netgear as a bridge. I removed the Netgear and set up my Time Capsule as the primary. The newer computers in my network can access the Time Capsule, but the old Dell with a 802.11g wireless card cannot. I don't remember seeing where I could access TC to change a setting of "N only" or b/g, but I am guessing that it is running N.
I tried to follow the steps you used for Linksys. The pre-step 1 thing, resetting it "10 times to get it to work" - how do you know when it is really reset? With Netgear plugged into electricity, I stuck a paper clip into the hole labeled on the diagram as "restore factory settings" and watched the color of the IO icon change from green to amber to green. I did it again for good measure.
I plugged ethernet from PowerBook G4 into Netgear not-WAN ethernet ports (like your MacBook to Linksys). I disabled Airport. Using Safari, I logged into 192.168.0.1 and got to the Netgear SmartWizard configuration assistant. It says, "No Internet Connection Detected. Please check the connections to the Internet WAN port and cable/DSL modem" - so I looked at your instructions but see no mention of connecting the router to the modem.
Trying to follow your numbered steps...
1. In SysPrefs: Network, Location showed Automatic, Configure showed Using DHCP.
2. I don't see an option in Network to "DHCP Server-DISABLED", but I can choose Configure: OFF. I clicked Apply but browser still gives same message.
I don't know how to continue the steps. -
I have an older PC (so it's not moving much...), and I'm trying to set up wireless connection trough a USB wireless adapter (Ralink Technology, Corp. RT2501USB Wireless Adapter).
I have the correct drivers installed, and everything set up (doulbe checked of course).
The wireless setup during boot-time does not works, and prints the error message
Could not associate $1 - try increasing WIRELESS_TIMEOUT and check network is WEP or has no security
If I run iwgetid immeadiateley after login, I get the following output:
$ iwgetid wlan0 -ra
00:00:00:00:00:00
On the other hand, if I try a
sudo /etc/rc.d/network start
after I log in, it works flawlessley.
I've tried the following:
--> setting WIRELESS_TIMEOUT to 10 seconds, does not works (only after boot)
--> double checking the setup lines
--> reading the /etc/rc.d/network script, and executing the commands manually, it works
$ sudo /etc/rc.d/network stop
$ sudo iwconfig wlan0 essid BodorWLAN key s:wikey
$ sudo iwgetid wlan0 -ra
[the MAC-ADDRESS of wlan0, differring from 00:00:00:00:00:00]
--> stopping and starting the /etc/rc.d/network script, it works
--> editing /etc/rc.d/network to print out the used varialbes and more verbose error messages (I've restored it since then, so I cannot post the results, all seemed to be ok.)

On the other hand, I did tracked down the problem, and I beliveve it's some kind of desing-flaw in the wireless USB utility. (Or I'm just not aware of a certain feature in it.)
I modified /etc/rc.d/network to resend the iwconfig to the device after the 2 second sleep, and it seems to work sometimes.
