Bridge and Client Mode for dual radio 3502

I want to use my dual radio 3502e AP to service clients on the 2.4 MHz and do a point to point bridge on the 5 GHz.  Is that possible?

Hi,
3500 series AP's are technically only supported in lightweight (controller based) mode.
7.0.116.0 allows 3500's (as well as most other models) to operate in mesh mode.  This would be a better alternative.

    Is it possible on the CSM to use bridge and router mode at the same time ? Or is it only router mode or only bridge mode ?

    HI Michel,
    first of all you can run bridged and routed mode at the same time but you can not define the same vlan as client and server. If you would change the above config from vlan 3 server to vlan 30 server and place the reals in vlan 30 it will work. A proper layer 2 configuration is for sure the prerequisit.

    Hi
    No audio on DVD disc.
    Most common origin.
    1. Imported audio from iTunes.
    • In iTunes copy out as an audio-CD .aiff
    • Use this in Your movie project
    2. Low - Free Space on Start-up/Boot/Internal/Mac OS Hard disk makes it hard for iMovie to work as intended.
    Down to 1.3 GB and it doesn’t work - especially audio don’t migrate over to Media Browser
    (iM’08 & 09)
    3. Material in iMovie’08 & 09 - Shared to Media Browser and here selected as Large
    large.m4v. It silenced out this project in iDVD. By making a slight alteration - provocing it to ask for a new Share/Publish to Media Browser and here selecting 640x480 - and audio was back when a new iDVD project was created including this movie.
    176x144
    480x360
    640x480
    720x540    960x540
    4. Strange audio formats like .mp3, .avi etc.
    • Change them to .aiff. Use an audio editor like Audacity (free)
    5. Main audio is set to off in System Preferences - Does this by it self - Don’t know why
    Cheque Audio-Out resp. Audio-In

    Had the same problem; some Googling around gave me a kludgy, but effective fix
    Downgrade Perian from recent versions back to version 1.0.
    That worked for me, and so far I haven't encountered any deficiencies—except it takes more advanced versions of Perian to enable QuickTime to handle subtitles in .srt format—that I have noticed.
    7. GarageBand fix.
    In this set audio to 44.1 kHz (Klaus1 suggestion)
    (if this don’t work try 48 kHz - me guessing)
    Before burning the DVD.
    • Do a DiskImage (File menu and down)
    • Double click on the .img file
    • Test it with Apple DVD-player
    If it’s OK then make Your DVD.
    Burn at x1 speed.... (or x4)
    • In iDVD 08 - or - 09
    • Burn from DiskImage with Apple’s Disk Utilities application
    • OR burn with Roxio Toast™ if You got it

  • Parallel and multiplexed modes for SCXI...

    I am having difficulty understanding how the Parallel and Multiplexed modes for SCXI modules work.  I've been trying to find one comprehensive document but have been unsuccessful.  Can you please help considering the following configurations:
    Single chassis, single module
    Single chassis, multiple modules
    Multi-chassis, single module on each (I don't know when that would ever be used, but nevertheless...)
    Multi-chassis, multiple modules
    Also I would appreciate it if you could mention when the DAQ device's onboard multiplexer is used, when the SCXI chassis/module/bus' multiplexer (I don't know where exactly the SCXI-based multiplexing occurs) is used, and when both are used.
    Thank you.

  • Opt-in to 'Discovery Mode' for Spotify Radio

    I'd like to be able to toggle on/off a 'Music Discovery' setting whilst listening to a Spotify Radio Station.
    Sometimes I'm happy to hear artists repeated in a Spotify radio station, but sometimes I just want to hear something new.
    Instead of changing the radio station algorithm to never repeat artists, like some forum members have suggested, how about letting the user opti-in to Discovery Mode.
    It could be implemented into the GUI with a subtle toggle that appears next to the current radio station title.
    When this is set to OFF (default for each radio session) the radio algorithm works just like it does now.
    When this is set to ON.
    Only play artists the user doesn't curently have in any Spotify playlists
    Only play artists the user doesn't have in their local libraries
    Don't repeat artists during that radio station session
    These rules are just a suggestion. There could be a better way to define what 'new music' is for any given user, such as using these rules but using song plays instead of artist plays. Does anyone have other suggestions on how to achieve this?
    However, the rules aside, the ability to opt-in a no repeat radio station that only plays music I haven't heard before is something I'd love to use, not all the time but definitely some of the time.

    Spotify needs to improve its radio system. That would be an WONDROUS idea if we were able to discover new, or forgotten artists and songs. I don't like it when Spotify tries to imitate Top 40 radio. It gets boring.
    I wouldn't mind if the songs only repeated every 10 hours, but every 3 hours, OH MAH GODDD. It's not a biggie, but it sure is a pain in the rear.
    Another issue that I'm having is that the radio forgets my liked tracks. Whenever the same song plays, it doesn't show that it's liked. The exact song is in my "Liked from Radio" playlist, but still it pretends it's not liked.
    Somebody better fix these problems soon or otherwise I'll have to play music on Soundrop.

  • How to print Individual mode and Collective Mode for Goods Receipt

    Hi Friends,
    Right now I am working on Smartforms on MIGO transaction.
    My Client requirement is that all items that have been received should be printed on one form in

    Could anybody please specify on what basis( fileds ), I will be able to segregate the items.
    how can I write the select stament so that when the user selects collective mode and accordingly
    should print. same for individual mode.

  • How to configure Airport as wireless bridge and wired mode?

    I have two airport extremes.
    1)APBN#1 - connected to Cable Modem and local 8port switch
    2) APBN#2 - in wireless bridge mode + Ethernet connected to APBN#1
    I would like APBN#2 to act as a wireless bridge to extend my wireless range for my notebooks, but also provide wired ethernet connection to computers connected to it. HOwever, this creates an IP loop.
    How would I be able to confiture my APBN#2 to act as BOTH a wireless bridge and ethernet switch without conflict?
    Thanks

    I am having related problem I think ... have Cox ISP, a Linksys cable modem and AEBS #1 ... ethernet out of cable modem into AEBS #1 then into netgear 24 port switch (to feed all the ethernet ports in my house). I am unable to have both the AEBS and the wired network function at the same time.
    They have been working for a couple years now ... and for some reason recently (past couple days) been problems...
    If I get the wired (flowing through the AEBS) to work -- then no DNS is being sent to the wireless. If I get the wireless to work, the wired won't.... AEBS #1 (numbering it because once I it up I have another to extend it....)
    thanks

  • JMS bridge and MQSeries. looking for statistics

              Hi !
              I have to use Weblogic 7 SP4 in cluster with a distant MQSeries queue manager.
              I know I can't have a "exactly once" quality of service. I use a MDB (deplyed
              on each instance of the server).
              I'm looking for statistics about how often a message can be treated 2 (or more)
              times.
              Thanks a lot for any help !
              Florent

    Hi Florent,
              Since these are MQ messages, it might be possible to find
              such statistics in MQ. Also, I think that MQ stores a
              redelivery count in their messages - so you can likely
              instrument your application code to get at the count.
              Note that 7.0 actually does support exactly once with WL MDBs driven
              by MQ. If you use transactions you can infer some stats on redeliveries
              by checking the relevant transaction statistics for rollback counts.
              I'm attaching some notes on JMS integration for your
              convenience.

              JMS Integration of Foreign Vendors with BEA WebLogic Server
              The following notes are derived mostly from "http://dev2dev.bea.com/technologies/jms/index.jsp".
              For additional questions, a good forum for WebLogic questions in general is "newsgroups.bea.com". These can be mined for information by using Google's newsgroup search function.
              JMS Integration Overview
              - For integration with "non-Java" and/or "non-JMS" platforms, see "Non-Java Integration Options" below.
              - For a foreign JMS vendor to participate in a WL transaction it must support XA. Specifically, it must support the javax.jms.XA* interfaces.
              - In WL versions 6.0 and up it is possible to make synchronous calls to foreign JMS vendors participate in a WL transaction as long as the foreign vendor supports XA.
              - WL 6.0 and 6.1 MDBs can be driven by foreign vendors non-transactionally. They can be driven transactionally by a select few foreign vendors (MQ is not part of the select few)
              - WL 7.0 and later, MDBs can be driven by foreign vendors transactionally and non-transationally.
              - WL 6.1 and later WL provides a messaging bridge feature. Messaging bridges forward messages between any two JMS destinations, including foreign destinations, and can transfer messages transactionally or non-transactionally.
              - WL 8.1 JMS provides additional features that simplify transactional and JNDI integration of foreign vendors. See http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs81/jms/intro.html#jms_features
              Integration with 8.1 Details
              A good overview of 8.1 JMS interop capability is the presentation "Integrating Foreign JMS Providers with BEA WebLogic Server" here:
              http://www.bea.com/content/files/eworld/presentations/Wed_03_05_03/Application_Servers/1097-Foreign_JMS_Providers_WLS.pdf
              This document refers to helpful new 8.1 features, which simplify integration. These include:
              http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs81/ConsoleHelp/jms_config.html#accessing_foreign_providers
              http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs81/jms/j2ee_components.html#1033768
              And are also summarized here (under interoperability):
              http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs81/jms/intro.html#jms_features
              Also read the extensive MDB documentation, which extensively covers integrating foreign vendors:
              http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs81/ejb/message_beans.html
              The 8.1 features are likely sufficient for most 8.1 integration needs, and you may not need to refer "Using Foreign JMS Providers With WLS" white-paper mentioned below.
              Integration with 6.1 and 7.0 Details
              Read the "Using Foreign JMS Providers With WLS" white-paper:
              http://dev2dev.bea.com/products/wlserver/whitepapers/jmsproviders.jsp
              Note that this white-paper does not take into account 8.1 features.
              For 7.0 read the extensive 8.1 MDB documentation, which largely also applies to 7.0:
              http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs81/ejb/message_beans.html
              Non-Java Integration Options
              - WL JMS has a JNI based C client which is available for Windows and some UNIX platforms. This C client supports 7.0 and up, and will be officially packaged with WLS in 9.0 (virtually unchanged). The C API is currently only supported through the jms newsgroup. See "JMS C API", here:
              http://dev2dev.bea.com/technologies/jms/index.jsp
              - WL supports direct Windows COM access through its "JCOM" feature. This doesn't include the JMS API, but one can invoke EJBs which in turn invoke JMS. See
              http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs61/jcom.html
              http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs70/jcom/
              http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/jcom/
              - Similar to JCOM, but more advanced, WL supports IIOP standard based access on multiple platforms. You can use the BEA Tuxedo C client for this purpose (no license fee). This doesn't include the JMS API, but one can invoke EJBs which in turn invoke JMS. See
              http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/rmi_iiop/
              http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs70/rmi_iiop/
              http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs61/rmi_iiop/
              Unlike most other approaches, the IIOP client approach also allows the client to begin and commit user (JTA) transactions (not configured).
              - If you already have a BEA Tuxedo license, one option is communicate through BEA Tuxedo (which has various APIs on Windows) and configure a WebLogic Server to respond to these requests via the WTC bridge. Search for "WTC" in the BEA docs. Unlike most other approaches, the Tuxedo API approach also allows the client to begin and commit user (JTA) transactions.
              - Another approach is to interop via web-service standards. Or even to simply to invoke a servlet on the WL server using a basic HTTP call from Windows. These in turn can invoke the JMS API. There is a white-paper on "Interoperability Study of BEA WebLogic Workshop 8.1 and Microsoft .NET 1.1 Web Services", that demonstrates web-services here:
              http://ftpna2.bea.com/pub/downloads/WebLogic-DotNet-Interop.pdf
              - Yet another approach is to use a third party product that is designed to wrap any JMS vendor. There are even open source versions. In no particular order, here are some examples: Open3 WinJMS, CodeMesh, Active JMS, SpiritSoft
              - Finally, there are .NET/C/C++ integration libraries that not specific to JMS, some examples are JNBridge, Jace, and CodeMesh.
              Notes on MQ Remote Capable XA Clients
              Until recently, IBM MQ JMS clients could not work transactionally unless they were running on the same host as their MQ server. This is a limitation unique to MQ that was relaxed with the introduction of IBM's new "WebSphere MQ Extended Transactional Client". See:
              http://publibfp.boulder.ibm.com/epubs/pdf/csqzar00.pdf
              The product is new, and for some reason, configuration of this client seems to be tricky, even when WebLogic is not involved at all. Oddly, the main sticking point seems to be simply making sure that class paths refer to the required IBM jars:
              - Required on WLS where MQ objects are bound into JNDI:
              com.ibm.mq.jar, com.ibm.mqjms.jar
              - Required only if MQ objects are bound into JNDI on a different server:
              com.ibm.mq.jar
              If there are problems when using this client, first get it to work using a pure IBM client without any BEA classes involved. Once that is working, search the WL JMS newsgroup for answers and/or contact BEA customer support.
              Notes on Oracle AQ Integration
              If problems are encountered integrating Oracle's built-in queuing (Oracle AQ) JMS client, there is publicly available wrapper code that can aid integrating AQ directly into MDBs, JMS, or the messaging bridge. The solution is titled "Startup class to bind AQ/Referenceable objects to WLS JNDI", is not supported by BEA, and is posted to:
              http://dev2dev.bea.com/codelibrary/code/startupclass.jsp
              Caveats:
              The solution doesn't directly support concurrent consumers. Perhaps Oracle requires that concurrent consumers each have a unique JMS connection? As a work-around, parallel message processing can be achieved indirectly by forwarding AQ messages into a WL JMS destination - which do support concurrent processing.
              Up-to-date versions of Oracle may be required. For more information, google search the weblogic.developer.interest.jms newsgroup for "Oracle" and "AQ".
              The solution doesn't seem to support transactions, it may be possible to extend it to do so.
              MDB Thread Pool Notes
              WL7.0SP? and WL8.1 and later support the "dispatch-policy" field to specify which thread pool an MDB uses to run its instances. In most cases this field should be configured to help address potential performance issues and/or dead-locks:
              http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs81/ejb/DDreference-ejb-jar.html#dispatch-policy
              (Note that "dispatch-policy" is ignored for non-transactional foreign vendors; in this case, the MDB "onMessage" callback runs in the foreign vendor's thread.)
              MDB Concurrency Notes
              Queue MDBs driven by foreign providers can run multiple instances concurrently. Topic MDBs driven by foreign providers are limited to one instance (not sure, but transactional foreign driven topic MDBs may not have this limitation). The size of the thread pool that the MDB runs in and the "max-beans-in-free-pool" descriptor limit how many instances run concurrently.
              Design Guide-Lines and Performance Tuning Notes
              The "WebLogic JMS Performance Guide" white-paper contains detailed design, performance, and tuning information for Clustering, Messaging Bridge, JMS, and MDBs.

  • How to get Client ID and Client Secret for Office App for Word which accessing SharePoint Online

    we currently implementing an Office App for MS Word which access SharePoint list and get data from lists. Our aim is any user can get this app from Office App store and enter their SharePoint URL and browse their own SharePoint lists and use those. When
    I was checking mechanisms which you used to access SharePoint, in some of them have used ClientId and Client Secret to authenticate with SharePoint. I have following questions.
    1.If I want to sell my app using Office app store where can I get those clientId and client secret which is used to  get the access tokens.
    2.Is it possible to create SharePoint app and publish it to SharePoint app store and get clientId and client secret and use it when accessing through office. So users first download our SharePoint app install it to their SharePoint environment then get out
    Office App from Office app store and add it to word. Will this work?

    Hi,
    >> We are planning to develop an Office app to access SharePoint Online and SharePoint on Premise from Microsoft word.
    I’m not very familiar with SharePoint development, so please correct me if I have any misunderstandings about your requirement.
    The basic components of an app for Office are an XML manifest file and the default webpage of your app (server side).
    >> If I'm publishing my Office App for Word in to the Microsoft office app store, how do I get the ClientId and ClientSecret which I need to pass to authenticate with SharePoint online?
    As far as I know, when register your web app to SharePoint Online, you will get the ClientId and ClientSecret from the Azure Active Directory. And you need to store the Client ID and Client
    Secret on the app server side.
    For details, you could reference the article
    Building an Office 365 ASP.NET MVC app.
    >> If ClientId and ClientSecret not providing when we publishing Word Office App to the app store how what the ways which we can use to authenticate with SharePoint using Word Office app?
    You don’t need to provide the ClientId and ClientSecret when publishing your App to App Store. They are stored on your app server side.
    By the way, if you have the question about how to access the SharePoint resource in a Web Application, I will suggest you posting the questions to
    SharePoint Development Forum. For this forum, we mainly discuss the questions about using the Office JavaScript API to develop Apps for Office.

  • NCSM and Kiosk mode for DTU's

    I downloaded and installed the Sunray 4u2 server software and it indicates that it can set DTU's in Kiosk mode now, not just per smartcard. This would be a good feature in our environment, since we use NSCM. However, I can't find a way to set a single DTU in to a Kiosk mode this without putting all of them in it. I would like one to display the window login via the connector all of the time. Any ideas or can someone point me to some good directions? Thanks!

    I have figured out our problem. After we loaded the patches and rebooted the utpolicy changed to disable NSCM. We noticed then when we hit shift-pause and instead of disconnecting it just cut over to the screensaver. When I re-enabled non-smart card mobility with the ./utpolicy -M the DTU's that we had set to go into Kiosk mode (full screen windows) no longer worked, they had the gnome login. When I reran the ./utpolicy without the -M to disable NSCM the Kiosk mode for specific DTU's starting working again.
    My conclusion is that NSCM and Kiosk mode by specific DTU's is incompatible.
    Can someone at Sun confirm this?

  • Maya 7 and graphics card for dual 2.3 ?

    Hello,
    can anyone give me advise which graphics card and how much RAM I should get for the latest 2.3 G5? The applications I am going to use are:
    Adobe After FX, Photoshop and Illustrator CS, Logic, Pro Tools, Flash MX2004, and Maya 7 Unlimited (with student reduction) and some other software, which should not be too disturbing.
    I found this information about Maya, and am uncertain now which graphics cards could cause problems.
    "Maya 7.0 IS NOT qualified on systems using an Nvidia GF4Ti graphics cards and higher. A problem exists where the Trax editor and Dopesheet editor do not draw properly and can lead to a kernel panic. DO NOT upgrade to 10.4.3 at this time if you have an Nvidia GF4Ti graphics card or higher. We are working with Apple to get this issue resolved as soon as possible."
    For the rendering with Maya, I would like to aim for a high end graphics card, but would it work on my system? I am also uncertain, if Maya's student version is programmed for dual core processors, I know that the PLE version is not. It would be great, if someone who is using Maya 7 could tell me about their experience.
    Thanks

    The best place to ask is on the Maya forums.
    Maya is always having a problem with new hardware and Mac OS X updates, sometimes it's their fault and sometimes it's Apple's, so it's advised to not to update until they get their bugs worked out and you get the all clear sign from fellow more advanced Maya users.
    Cloning your boot drive is a excellent way to "go back" in case a OS update breaks Maya.
    I think the best hardware machine is a Quad, not a dual core. Dual cores are going to become standard across all computer lines here next year, from laptops to ordinary desktops just like single processors are now.
    So for $800 more you get twice the amount of processors, triple the hardware life expectancy and you can continue to grow with Maya updates as they tax all four cores eventually. A Quad is cheaper per year than present dual cores so you'll save money not having to upgrade next year or so.
    When you get your machine, I'm almost sure 10.4.3 will not be pre-installed, if it is you can wipe it and install 10.4 from Tiger disk and upgrade to 10.4.2 from Apple downloads page.
    Get some RAM, Tiger overrides Photoshop CS2's RAM limit and gives great performance. The rest of Adobe apps need some work still to optimize for the hardware.

  • Difference between bridge and local mode with wlc 5508

    Hello,
    Now i have wlc5508 with few ap 11xx 12xx in local mode. All work correct. I will have to add few ap1552 in bridge mode ( i have to wait for wlc upgrade to change ap1552 to local mode). My question is that all ( local and bridge mode) will work correct together for my clients: rfid readers, laptop, computer in a,b,g,n mode ? What about roaming  and other feature ?
    thanks for help
    Peter

    If you plan on not doing MESH, then you set these 1552's in local mode and they will perform the same tasks as any other AP's in local mode.  When you want to do MESH, then that is when bridge mode comes into play and you have to define your RAP's and MAP's.
    Roaming, clients devices, doesn't matter if your using local or bridge.  roaming depends on your device and coverage and rfid, also depends on triangulation with the coverage you have now.
    Thanks,
    Scott

  • Visual Studio generates wrong proxy and client config for WCF Service Host with customBinding

    Hi,
    I have  a simple WCF test service.
    The serviceModel configuration for the looks like this:
    <system.serviceModel>
    <bindings>
    <customBinding>
    <binding name="NewBinding0">
    <byteStreamMessageEncoding>
    <readerQuotas maxDepth="10" maxStringContentLength="10000" maxArrayLength="10000"
    maxBytesPerRead="1000" maxNameTableCharCount="200" />
    </byteStreamMessageEncoding>
    <tcpTransport />
    </binding>
    </customBinding>
    </bindings>
    <diagnostics>
    <messageLogging logMalformedMessages="true" logMessagesAtTransportLevel="true" />
    </diagnostics>
    <services>
    <service name="WcfServiceLibrary2.Service1">
    <endpoint address="mex" binding="mexHttpBinding" name="mexName"
    contract="IMetadataExchange" />
    <endpoint address="net.tcp://localhost:8734/WcfServiceLibrary2/Service1.svc"
    binding="customBinding" bindingConfiguration="NewBinding0" name="tcpName"
    bindingName="" contract="WcfServiceLibrary2.IService1" />
    <host>
    <baseAddresses>
    <add baseAddress="http://localhost:8733/Design_Time_Addresses/WcfServiceLibrary2/Service1/" />
    </baseAddresses>
    </host>
    </service>
    </services>
    <behaviors>
    <serviceBehaviors>
    <behavior name="">
    <serviceMetadata httpGetEnabled="true" />
    <serviceDebug includeExceptionDetailInFaults="false" />
    </behavior>
    </serviceBehaviors>
    </behaviors>
    </system.serviceModel>
    However the auto generated client side serviceModel looks like this:
    <system.serviceModel>
    <bindings>
    <customBinding>
    <binding name="tcpName">
    <textMessageEncoding messageVersion="Soap12" />
    <tcpTransport />
    </binding>
    </customBinding>
    </bindings>
    <client>
    <endpoint address="net.tcp://localhost:8734/WcfServiceLibrary2/Service1.svc"
    binding="customBinding" bindingConfiguration="tcpName" contract="ServiceReference2.IService1"
    name="tcpName" />
    </client>
    </system.serviceModel>
    Note the Encoding has changed to from byteStreamMessageEncoding to textMessageEncoding.
    When I test the service with WCF Test Client, I get the error "Addressing Version 'AddressingNone (http://schemas.microsoft.com/ws/2005/05/addressing/none)' does not support adding
    WS-Addressing headers."
    The error message makes sense in considering the client is mis-configured. I could manually modify the client side configuration, but I don't know how to give that to the WCF Test Client.
    When I run my own test client code, I get a NullReferenceException creating the Channel

    Hi Martin00,
    I have tested your code in my side and I can meet the same exception as you.
    >>"Addressing Version 'AddressingNone (http://schemas.microsoft.com/ws/2005/05/addressing/none)' does not support adding WS-Addressing headers."
    Based the above exception, I try to use the following config:
    <textMessageEncoding messageVersion="Soap12" />
    Instead of this config code:
    <byteStreamMessageEncoding>
    <readerQuotas maxDepth="10" maxStringContentLength="10000" maxArrayLength="10000"
    maxBytesPerRead="1000" maxNameTableCharCount="200" />
    </byteStreamMessageEncoding>-->
    After that it works fine as following:
