Bridge App for ATT Torch

I need to find a way to download the Bridge App to my Torch from ATT. I bought the playbook and think it is cool so far and am not even close to being able to use it because ATT does not offer the bridge app.
This is crazy. I am going to take back the playbook and get an ipad if I can't find a solution to this problem.
People that love blackberry love the Torch and is only offered by ATT. So everyone that is a blackberry "nut" owns the Torch and wants the Playbook. I say save your money.
If someone has figured out a solution I sure would like to know how to do it. All of the OTA links and PC downloads from crackberry and the like are disabled. BOO ATT and RIM for doing this to the consumer.

Same problem here - had it working for about a month from one of the OTA links, then **bleep** playbook kept telling me I needed updates - I made the mistake of doing so and now the bridge software on my Torch wont connect. This is friggin BS - is there a way out of this short of returning the device?

Message app not loading but every other bridge app works fine

i have a Torch 9800 (up to date) and a Playbook (up to date). All my bridge apps work except for messages, which is probably the most important app. When i launch the messages app it just showing the loading circle hour glass thing and never actually displays my messages. New emails come in and i can open them but none of my previous emails appear and the loading circle hour glass thing keeps going. I've tried reinstalling bridge and i've tried pairing the device again over bluetooth, any other ideas? I know i could just factory reset the playbook but i'll loose all my data.

How long have you allowed it to hour glass?
Does an error message display?

Make a flashlight App for Windows Phone 8.1 (TorchControl not supported)

I want to develop a simple flashlight app for Windows Phone 8.1 (non Silverlight). I used the TorchControl but it returns a false when i tried to run on my Device

Start the video capture first and then start the torch control.

Telstra Air App For Windows 8.1 Phone

When will Telstra be providing an Air App for WIndows 8.1 phone?

I, for one, support this request - especially with the universal app situation and the developer tools available to help convert iOS and Android code to Windows, there really shouldn't be much blocking this app being released. By all means say you're not going to write a Windows Phone 8.1 app from scratch, but how about a Windows 10 Mobile universal app? This would run not only on phones, but also 3G/4G enabled Windows tablets. If your developers are not aware of these tools, please get them to take a look at developer.windows.com to be enlightened! AirPort Utility is the application that must be used to setup and make any configuration changes to the AirPort Express. I'm not aware of an "App" for this.
If you could borrow a computer from someone there for 30 minutes or maybe use the computer in the lobby, you could download AirPort Utility and reconfigure your Express. To help with setup, use an ethernet cable from the computer to the Express to help AirPort Utility "see" the Express.

What is the best voice to text app for iPad Air?

I had the app Dragon (a voice to text app), on my iPhone and downloaded it to my iPad Air, but it's not working. Reading the "help" area it says something about ATT iPads don't support it. I have ATT.
But, I can open the app and it reads "Tap and dictate" as though all is fine and dandy and then after practically yelling into almost every part of the iPad (to no avail), it just says " Sorry message not recognized. Please try again."
Can anyone help me on this? Also is there a better/best dictation app for iPad?

You can use text-to-speech in any app. I'm a big fan of the app Drafts as it allows two touch tranfer to any number of other applications, not unlike how I recall Dragon worked. If you don't want to spring for Drafts (though I can't recommend it highly enough!), you can always use the built in Notes app then copy and paste when you're done.
No, you can't see the words as you speak. However, you can always stop after a couple of sentences and review.

Missing "Bridge" app tab

Hi everyone,
I just got my Playbook today and set up Bridge during the initial setup. I just noticed however that all the Bridge apps are in my "All" tab rather than in their own separate one, as I believe they should be based on some videos I've seen. Anything I can do to set them apart? As far as I know you can't just create new tabs so I'm not sure if there's anything I can do to group them all together.

if it does not work then
delete the BlueTooth Bridge profiles on both devices, update bridge app if not done already
Then perform a Battery pull please, with the BlackBerry smartphone powered ON, remove the battery 15 seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot device. This will clear all cache like rebooting a PC.
on Playbook press power button and both Vol + - buttons for 10 seconds to reboot it.
setup bridge again and see if it persists.

Bridge App Icon Missing & now Crashing

Recently the Bridge App Icon "disappeared" from the CS4 Master Collection group in the XP Start | All Programs | Adobe Master Collection CS4 drop-down. So the only way I could launch Bridge was from within another CS4 app, no big deal. But now when I try and launch bridge I get a blue screen and Crash. Any Idea why? Tried to un-install/reinstall Bridge, apparently this is not allowed. Any advise would be appreciated.

Can you establish a start icon on the desktop for Bridge and then reset the preferences? Hold down the Ctrl key and click on start icon. You should get a reset window. Choose all 3 options.

Bold 9930 Bridge Application for Playbook

I am currently in Afghanistan with the coalition forces,I just ordered a blackberry playbook to use with my Bold 9930 and I cannot access the app store to download bridge here in this country because it is not supported. I am not going to be in a country with access to the app store for some time. I tried to contact Blackberry and RIM via email to see if they could help and have gotten no where. Apparently they want you to spend lots of money on their products yet offer no support..... This forum is my last option in getting the Bridge app. Can anyone assist me?

I can feel your frustration. Indeed the BlackBerry AppWorld is not currently available in Afghanistan, and you do need it to download BlackBerry Bridge on your 9930. There is no other official way.
On the other hand, you can find some Bridge installer published by individuals. Maybe on the crackberry.com forums. I would not trust them, but maybe you would.
But I don't have the Bridge (my smartphone is a corporate one and I am not allowed to install the Bridge on it) and I am very happy with my PlayBook. and of course I am aware that you may have different needs than me.
But if you look at the bright side, you have a wonderful BlackBerry 9930 device, and next to it, a great tablet for viewing videos & playing Need For Speed.

Through Twitter BlackBerry Help,I have been informed reliably informed that there is a software update for BB Torch 9800. But checking with phone updating system could not find it. Would someone out there verify and supply me with a link to the update?

I only want one app for now

I currrently have Adobe Creative Cloud and only want one app for now which is Photoshop .... I accidentally installed Lightroom, Bridge CC, Exchange Panel, Extendscript toolkit, Extension manager, touch app plugins from Creative Cloud and would like to uninstall these apps until I have a full understanding of the Creative Cloud.
I pay monthly for membership and do not want to uninstall the Creative Cloud.
Please advise on how to uninstall these other apps.

Does anyone know if there is a basic Note app for the playbook? I know we have Word to Go on the Playbook but a nice basic text note pad application would be nice...

Welcome to the forums.
When the BlackBerry Playbook is bridged to a BlackBerry you will have access to your MemoPad and Tasks. You can also search in BlackBerry App World for a note pad application.

Usually, Adobe Bridge is automatically installed as a companion app for Photoshop - for example, if you download Photoshop CS6 through Creative Cloud, Bridge will also be installed. But Photoshop can definitely be used as a "stand-alone" application.
