Reinstallation of Bridge CC brings no solution. It is the same Probleme like in this Post: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1502288
Also Capture One Pro 7 cant use his Scripts for Merge Images in Photoshop CC 2014.
Please let me know when the bug is fixed... and when a new Process 2014 and Bridge version ist available.
The quality in the sharpeness in the processversion 2012 is realy bad in Lightroom and Bridge in the current version (Canon 5D II and 5D III).
It looks like a unsharp mask filter and not a real RAW sharpening. I think this is the most important feature!
a lot of guys from our fototeam switched to COP7 because the quality. me to, but i like the bridge workflow and the interaction with some other programs and plugins.
At the moment we use Bridge or Lightroom not as RAW converter. It is more a file manager.

OK, it works after new installation vom Photoshop CC (previous version).
now i wait for Bridge CC 2014 with an awesome RAW sharpening feature and better skin tones :-)

Did you get any error messages? What happens when you try to restore from backup? Error messages?
If music, the apps themselves and some other items were not in yur iTunes library when you did the update they will not be on the iPod after the update. This is because the apps themselves (app data is in the backup), music and some other items are not part of the backup and are synced to he iPod during a latter stage of the update.

Bridge CS4 - Lost all file associations

I run Photoshop CS4 on my desktop and notebook, Windows XP Pro.
I have lost all my file associations with bridge CS4. If I clicked on a .jpg MS paint would start up. It use to work before no problem. If I reset, it does nothing. This is happening on **both** of my machines.
I manually changed them all to PS CS4 and still the oddd time MS Paint will start and not PS.
Any ideas how to fix this?

There are 2 places to look. One is in Bridge preferences/file associations. If that does not fix the problem in XP open Explorer Tools/Folder Options/file types.
Look to see that the default program for the file type is what you want.

I have a similar but subtle difference showing up. This morning, I clicked Open on a .psd in Bridge CS3 and got "~Photo~1" in place of a program selection. In some cases, I got this and CS4 as options. If I go to Find in Explorer, it opens. Since I have decided to wait for CS5 and the trial period is almost over, I uninstalled CS4 and did a cleanup afterwards. Now, when I go to CS3 Bridge nothing happens. Find in Explorer says it cannot open it either. So I checked File Associations and sure enough it was practically empty, saying "None" to the vast majority of file types. It even indicated None for the nef files but they do open in ACR anyway.
Since my three basic file types are Tiff, psd and nef, I got those working by re-associating them in XP. I also have a number of DNG, but haven't tried these yet.
Reading the links here, it looks like this is a real bug and since it is persistent back to CS2, has been around for a while.
I expect I will have to uninstall CS3 and do a CS cleaner and start over again.
This is on XP. I have Win7 as well, but at the moment, only CS3 there. I'll reinstall CS4 then uninstall it and see if W7 is also a problem.

Thanks so much for the reply. Amy way you could elaborate on the "known issue" aspect? Is there another thread I missed? Some sort of Knowledge base article? also, I'm not sure why you linked to the page you did. FF is installed on all my machines and I can of course download the latest version every couple of weeks and push it to all my lab iMacs using ARD, so I'm confused as to why you linnked me to FF's installer page - is there something I can do with the installer that will alow auto-updates that I'm missing/not aware of?
Again, thanks for the heads-up and any further elaboration on either further info on the issue or how I might use the installer to auto-update all my machines will be appreciated.

Updated to Mavericks - Bridge CS6 lost all previews

I just updated to Mavericks - Bridge CS 6 lost all previews except for a couple of folders.
What is going on here? Is there anything I can do to fix it, or do I have to build all previews anew?

Why are apple constantly trying to fix something that was working very well before they touched it?
Why did you upgrade if you were happy with what you had? No one from Apple came round and forced you to upgrade.
You might want to explain this more fully. Where did you keep these folders on your HD?
Oh, and the simple solution is to restore from the back up you made just before upgrading - you did make one, right?

PDF Presets lost in CS4 after uninstalling Photoshop CS5 trial

Upon removal of the Photoshop CS5 trial, I lost all of my Save as Adobe PDF Presets (.joboptions) in the CS4 versions of Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign. I miss them... so much....

So I contacted a friend and he sent me a copy of his default presets. These need to be installed in the Macintosh HD > Library > Applications Support > Adobe > Adobe PDF > Settings folder.

When I backup my iPhone 3GS in 10.5 is it doing a full backup of the phone or just what is checked in sync. Because I lost all my voice memos by just "backing it up" before upgrading to iOS5.

Browse your iTunes folder. Do you have files in folder in your media folder? In other words, did you really lose the media or did iTunes just lose track of it?
Of course you have a backup you make of your computer before doing any major updates, right?

Re-recording all of the eCATT scripts after system upgrade

Hi,
Ive heard something today that got my attention: some people say that you have to re-record all of your scripts after an upgrade. In other words, upgrade from, for example, 5.0 to 6.0 makes eCATT scripts unusable and worthless. It is not just some screens or screen sequences have changed, and must be re-recorded. It's a total change and <b>everything, all scripts</b>, have to be re-done.
I would like to get some clarification on this.

Yes, I've also heard about this before. We do not use a lot of CATT (it's been turned into the data loading tool), so it is not an issue for us.
Here is my concern - we are on ECC 5.0 (WAS 6.40) and using eCATT to create and maintain scripts for automated functional testing. Let's say, we upgrade our system to 6.0 or 7.0, and want to use existing scripts for regression testing. I do not want to discover unexpectedly that our entire (all of it) existing body of automated scripts cannot function with the new version of the software.
Please let me know if you have similar experience with managing eCATT scripts upgrade in the past (say 6.20 to 6.40).

please tell me they are somewhere in itunes. I have no idea how to move them back.

roaminggnome is correct in that you should be syncing your contacts with whatever contact management software you are using on your computer.
You can sync contacts with Windows Contacts, which comes pre-installed with Vista.
To sync both contacts and calendars you'll need either Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2007. All of these programs need to be opened and setup (at least create one contact) prior to syncing per:

If the contact information is in one of those programs, the content should be synced back to the iPhone the next time you sync.
If you weren't syncing to one of those programs. It is possible that the contacts may be in your iTunes backup.
If you haven't tried another sync since you noticed the issue, leave the iPhone disconnected from the PC for now.
Open iTunes.
Open Preferences from the Edit Menu.
Click on the Devices tab.
Check the list of backups. If there is one there that corresponds to the time when you last synced with your contacts on the iPhone, and the sync was not interrupted in progress, it may contain the contacts.
If you tried reconnecting and re-syncing after you noticed the contacts issue, the backup may not contain any recoverable data.
While you're in the Preferences, put a check in the "Disable Automatic syncing for iPods and iPhones."
Connect the iPhone.
Right-click on the iPhone under Devices and choose "Restore from Backup."
If the contacts are restored, make sure you sync them to a contact management program from now on -- and you may want to check with that program's website on how to backup the data in the program as well.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
