Bridge CC permissions HELP!!

I can't delete anything with Bridge cc all of a suddin. I was using it for over a week nothing has changed now I get error ( The opperation could not be completed because you don't have sufficiant permissions.
My operating system is Mac OSX 10.7.5
I deleted all of CC programs via the ininstall, then reinstalled same thing.
I used my disc utilities and repaired permissions still same problem, then I reinstalled my OS and I still have the same problem. I am also loged in as administrator...... HELP

I deleted all of CC programs via the ininstall, then reinstalled same thing.
Without combining this with the Adobe Cleaner Tool and uninstall / reinstall is pointless because the pref files causing the problem are not removed with just an uninstall.

And double check if you have read and write access to the files, folders and disk the files are saved on. Use Finder and select a folder then choose cmd + i and check the permissions at the bottom of the window.

    Did you use the Migration Assistant to help set up the new iMac using some of the files in the older PC? Some likely won't mean much, unless you have applications that can use or convert them. There's also a way to use the software Time Machine to import data files from an external or another computer, so you may have used that, too.
    Hopefully someone with experience in a similar issue will reply...

  • I STILL can't get Bridge to work, Help

    I have had Photoshop CS2 installed and activated for months. However, I have never gotten Bridge to work.
    I get the apparently common, "Adobe Bridge cannot be used at this time because of licensing restrictions. You must have installed and launched at least one other Adobe application to use Adobe Bridge." I have consulted TechNote 331871, and have tried its suggestions. Solution 1, Photoshop CS2 IS activated. Solution 2, everything IS in its default location. Solution 3, removing and reinstalling Bridge doesn't help. Solution 5, I have removed and reinstalled Photoshop CS2 twice. (I have not removed the activation)
    Which leaves Solution 4. Whenever I try to rerun the Common File Installer, I get "Setup has detected that a newer version of this product is already installed. Setup will now terminate.", and it does.
    I have had uninstalled Adobe Premiere Elements 4, thinking that might be the problem. I also have Elements 3.0 and 6.0 installed. I have tried uninstalling 6.0 to no avail.
    Anyone have any idea what may be going on, and what I might do next?

    Have you seen the topic about 2/3 down this page "Premiere Elements has broken Bridge"? May provide some clues.

  • Adobe Bridge problem, Anyone help?

    Hi
    I am using After Effects and want to add an effect to Text i use the brower presets option which opens Adobe Bridge.  Adobe Bridge normally allow a preview of the effect in the preview section.  However where the preview should be an 'unidentified file' icon appears with the file name eg Character Shuffle In.ffx.
    If anyone can help with this it would be much appreciated.  I am using CS5 on windows 7 64 bit.
    Thanks

    You're not at all likely to get an answer here. Check the Bridge or AE forums.

  • Adobe bridge cs5 64bit - HELP: photoshop plug-ins doesnt work

    Hi to all this is my 1st post since its my 1st time to have a problem with adobe. My problem is that i selected a number of images and tried a batch image process thru Tools > photoshop > image processor. After clicking nothing happens. I also tried the other plug ins like HDR, Batch etc but nothing seems to work. I went to the directory folder and all of the plug ins are intact and in the " plug-ins " folder. I also updated everything just now but still no luck. What happening here,please help me out. Thanks

    "Reveal my scripts folder" is to reveal the user's folder for costom scripts, not public scripts. If you have no custom scripts like you developed yourself and want to load it into Bridge, then the folder is empty.  It's normal.
    The issue seems not plugin but scripts installed by Photoshop not working. Could you please let me know the version of Photoshop and Bridge:
    Photoshop: Help>System Info
    Bridge: Help>About Bridge
    You mentioned you updated it 1st time, you mean update PS or Bridge?  Could you please send me via private message the install log of update? You can find it here:
    Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Installers\Adobe Bridge CS5 4.0.*
    Windows 64-bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Installers\Adobe Bridge CS5 4.0.*

  • Calling a dll from a new menu item in Bridge.  Idiot help needed

    Hi,
    I'm trying to what I believe is a fairly simple script.  I'm coming from a hobbiest Delphi background, and to be honest I'm finding JavaScript a little bit hard to understand.  My requirements are simple - add a new menu item to Bridge which executes a call to a custom dll.  Note I'm not expecting the dll to return anything here..
    Looking at the samples provided even I can add the menu item - but getting it to successfully call the dll is a bit of a mystery.
    The script compiles and adds the menu item, however the menu action doesn't call the dll.  I believe it should be a fairly simple task and was hoping somebody here could steer me right.  Here's my code (as you'll see a clear cut and paste job from the examples ;o)
    Header 1
    function SnpAddMenuItem()
      this.requiredContext = "\tAdobe Bridge must be running.\n\tExecute against Bridge CS6 as the target.\n";
      this.menuID = "snpmyMenu";
      this.menuCommandID1 = "snpAddMenuItemSub1";
      $.level = 1; // Debugging level
    SnpAddMenuItem.prototype.run = function()
      var retval = true;
      if(!this.canRun()) {
      retval = false;
      return retval;
      // Create the menu element
      var newMenu = new MenuElement( "menu", "myMenu", "before Help", this.menuID );
      // Create the menu item
      var alertCommand1 = new MenuElement( "command", "Load Stuff", "at the end of " + this.menuID, this.menuCommandID1);
      alertCommand1.onSelect = function (m1)
            ExternalObject.myDll = new ExternalObject('lib:/C/temp/apmDLL.dll');
            myDll.sendtoACRPM(1);
    //      return retval;
    SnpAddMenuItem.prototype.canRun = function()
      // Must run in Bridge
      if(BridgeTalk.appName == "bridge") {
      // Stop the menu element from being added again if the snippet has already run
      if((MenuElement.find(this.menuID)) && (MenuElement.find(this.menuCommandID)))
    // $.writeln("Error:Menu element already exists!\nRestart Bridge to run this snippet again.");
    // return false;
                MenuElement.remove(this.menuID);
      return true;
      $.writeln("ERROR:: Cannot run SnpAddMenuItem");
      $.writeln(this.requiredContext);
      return false;
    if(typeof(SnpAddMenuItem_unitTest ) == "undefined") {
      new SnpAddMenuItem().run();

    The dll needs to be compatable with the criteria set in the JavaScript Tools Guide. There is an example in the Bridge SDK that can be downloaded from http://www.adobe.com/devnet/bridge.html
    But it need someone who is knowledgeable with c++
    It would be great if someone could write a wrapper to access other external objects.

  • Bridge CS5.1 Help

    I am cataloging some eps files using bridge.  When ever it catalogs the files you can see the images  but they are not the whole image its cutting off some of them. What am I doing wrong?  PLEASE HELP! Thanks in advance

    You will have to excuse my non intellegence when it comes to Bridge because I am new to this type of what i call cataloging.
    Let me explain what I am trying to do I have several EPS files that I need to be able to put in a book for viewing all the files at once for my customers.
    I am using Bridge the way I was told to get those files into bridge off of the CD that I have is to use the Output, Then PDF, then find my images on my CD and open it, Then when it open I could select all the images at once and then do a SAVE AS and it would catalog all images for a printable document.
    However on some of the images it will show me a full image,  but on some of them I guess where the Image on the disk is slightly bigger when I catalog and save them it is only showing 3/4 of a full image
    This is what it is suppose to look like.
    This is the image I am seeing after i do the PDF File on it not the full image,
    I need this to show the full image.  I hope this helps I'm not exactly sure how to eplain it.

  • Tired of color desat when opening in Bridge/Lightroom. HELP!

    I am going insane in my attempt to keep consistent color management through all areas. Everything was fine, color was great, prints were matched to calbration, monitor calibrated, and then....I rebooted the computer since I hadn't done so for a week, and when I restarted Bridge, and Lightroom (yields same results), the color immediately drains from the photos. Similar to the screenshot, however when I initially created this screenshot, Bridge was still accepting the color. Now, the desaturation exists in all Adobe programs. (PS CS5, camera raw, bridge , lightroom 3.  I feel like I'm going in circles here. I have no clue what could have changed with the reboot. One thing I have noticed is that in Window before a photo image is generated in a folder is shows as a paint pallette. And, when asked in Windows Color Management of the program I would like to use to install a profile, I am give Microsoft Color Management System (which to my understanding is designed for Vista or XP). Tried to delete the program but was denied. Not sure if that has anything to do with it either.
    If you have any insight and can help me stop the madness I would be so greatly appreciative!!

    Hi Connie,
    Let me resume:
    Non  colormanaged applications (like windows explorer) shows your images  right, managed apps like LR and Bridge, which have different  cache folders, shows them desaturated, even the previewed NEF.
    Putting this  together, it can't a problem with the cache, harddisk, CF card. I mean, a  cache is a cache, and might needed to be updated from time to time, f.e.  when changing the monitor- or image profile. But I expect you always have done this.
    That's it - most of the rest (the tests done) provides unreliable information, sorry. I'm aware that to most of them you were forced by others, so don't take my following statements to personal.
    Nevertheless I believe what we see partitial is right: some of your images  are untagged (at least the PSD we see in one of the screenshots in here)
    Untagged images should look the same  in IE and Firefox unless you set Gfx.color management.mode to 1 and assign the monitor profile to FF. Per default CM in FF is enabled for tagged images only and by this acts like IE <V9 on untagged images
    Untagged sRGB should look oversaturated on wide-gamut monitors and browsers on which you can't apply a profile. Believe that is what you get.
    You asked me
    I'm confused which photos you viewed of mine that you found to be untagged?
    all the images you presented in threads in here are untagged ;-)
    Some might think different about that, but IMHO images always should have an embedded profile, even sRGB JPEGs used for web. You already get some hints on that in the other thread and the links to Ballard - even when his webdesign is a bit odd, its worth reading.
    I believe your issue is a combination of untagged images, a faulty monitor profile and maybe false handling.
    As implied above, personaly I can't trust any of the tests here, because they are (including the browser test I mentioned) not consistant done - I will tell you why.
    What you see next are three of the images you provided here, but stacked:
    #1 (RGB/8*)*
    here the second * indicates, that the image was altered (either bei assigning a colorspace or bei normal editing) after it was loaded and in a colorspace which is different from Photoshops working colorspace, which is indicated by the first *
    #2 (RGB/8*)
    indicates images colorspace is different from Photoshops working colorspace - that's fine when the working space is aRGB and the image f.e. sRGB
    #3 (RGB/8)
    no *, no # in here indicates it is in Photoshops working colorspace.
    (RGB/8#) at the top would mean it is untagged, but when when colormanagement was OFF in that moment, it also would read as (RGB/8) or (RGB/16) (without an # or *) at the top, but "untagged" in the info panel at the bottom, even when the image has an embedded profile...
    On the otherhand - and this is the important part - the Photoshop (import) settings you provided here, tells that your PS is at "preserve embedded profiles" BUT "ask when opening" at profile mismatches. By this you will be asked whenever an image profile mismatches the working colorspace.
    The latter should be unchecked, anyway.
    So what have you been doing, when you were asked for image #1 and #2? With this settings and since their colorprofiles are different from PS working space, you must have been asked and have assigned a profile different from working space or you haven't been asked (because images colorspace and the working space was the same) and you assigned a different profile initially later.
    Or you have changed settings again and again when taking those screenshots....
    When you say you see images as untagged in Bridge but in Photoshops info panel as "Adobe RGB (1998)" this can be, when a profile was added (assigned) after the image was imported to PS. Bridge will not know about that until you save the image.
    Will say: those of us trying to help, never know exactly what they are here looking at (maybe without realizing)
    Do we see a sRGB under an aRGB working space (RGB/8*) for #2? And #3, is this an aRGB image under an aRGB working space or a sRGB image under sRGB, (both would appear as RGB/8)? Or was the image untagged and colormanagement was off?
    Seems a bit chaotic, sorry.
    At least this is nothing on which I'ld be able to tell for sure what is going on.
    Next: the monitor  profile you sent to me, turns my U2410 dark and too much purple/reddish.
    Of  course there should be a differences (different monitor, different  environment light and my old eyes), but this is far to much - it hurt my eyes
    As  far I know, LR internal uses the Melissa color space (which is larger  than aRGB)  - I wonder what happens when RAW were processed via Meliassa  to aRGB with a too reddish monitor profile and are saved as untagged  aRGB....?
    I also wonder how LR can be configured to export to PSD without  they being tagged...?   Nevertheless, I was able to reproduce this once. For one of my PSDs the profile was removed, but at the moment I don't know how to reproduce that again.
    As said just make sure you images are tagged. But don't just apply a profile to those images already processed, when you don't know what really happend to them - it might get worse.
    Anyway.
    To solve your prob, you should forget about LR for  now and remove the monitor profile made with the Spyder, set the DELL  profile which comes with the CD and process images from scratch.
    Means  straight from NEF in one colorspace only -> via Photoshops ACR (output as aRGB and make sure aRGB is your  working space in PS), save them as PSD or TIFF and make sure they get tagged as aRGB. See if it makes a difference (color shift or not), when viewed  in Bridge.
    If there is no shift, start over with calibrating your monitor. Calibrating means setting the hardware right, by making sure the monitor was set to aRGB and brightness and contrast was adjusted, before you profilling it with the Spyder.
    If the problem still exists with this new profile and with images, which were processed by the above workflow and by the new conditions (make sure of that, the already processed images might be messed up) again let some one with an U2410 check the new profile.
    If its still have a huge red shift on another U2410, it might point to a hardware fault (either Monitor or Spyder)
    @MJOrts
    I notice that "Use Windows display calibration" is checked on in your
    screenshot.
    AFAIK this setting means, that Windows is loading the LUT and not a third-party LUT-Loader, coming with the profiling device.

  • CS6 Bridge Camera RAW help!!

    I have just installed CS6 direct from the Adobe website on to my MAC as an upgrade to CS5 and it is all fully updated, I have shot some test RAW images on my Canon 1DX and tried to open them in Bridge, it says that the file cannot be opened and that the program needs updating via Help>Updates, this is confusing as it says it is fully updated, I have also checked the file association in CS6 and Canon CR2 is supported. I have not yet un-installed CS5 from my MAC, is it interfering with CS6?.....CR2 files open perfectly in CS5 so I can't see what is causing Bridge in CS6 not to recognise RAW CR2 files and allow me to open them in Camera RAW. Any help really appreciated!

    That camera model has been supported since ACR 8.3 and it is most certainly supported by ACR 8.6 and ACR 8.7 (beta).
    Either you have damaged, corrupt image files, or a faulty Photoshop and/or ACR installation.
    If there are no privacy issues, you can post one of your files to the FTP service of your choice (such as Dropbox or yousendit.com), post the link to it, and someone here can take a look at it for you.

  • Bridge CS5 - need help with image adjustments.

    When I double click on an image in bridge and it opens in another window, I make the adjustments and click done.  But when I got back to the other window, the adjustments are not there.  But when I double click on the image and it opens in the other window, the adjustments are there.  What am I doing wrong or what have I not set?
    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks.

    What am I doing wrong or what have I not set?
    Not sure what you mean exactly with other window but think it is Adobe Camera Raw and after the settings you adjusted they are not reflected in the Bridge Preview panel?
    First thing to try could be the menu tools/cache/purge cache for folder to see if this updates the new settings.

  • UPK11 - multi-user environment - manage author permissions - help

    We are configuring our UPK 11 multi-user environment.
    As we have it set, the "everyone" group has modify access to all folders.
    I would like to have a few admins have modify access to the system folder and everyone else be read only.
    Here's my dilemma -
    My admin profile is also a part of the everyone group - so if I set the permissions on the everyone group to read only, that effects the admin login as well.
    The documentation says that if I set up an author with explicit folder permissions, that they are not included in the everyone group, but everytime I try, they are added (irrevocably) to the everyone group before I can even assign an explicit permission.
    I tried to set the everyone group to read only and nearly hobbled my admin account.
    Can someone who has managed authors in a UPK 11 multii-user environment send out some tips?
    I'm not understanding the documentation well enough to make headway.
    [email protected]

    Hi Paul,
    I recently performed an implementation of UPK 11 at a client and had to show one of their employees how to administer the security surrounding profiles and authors.
    The group "Everyone" is default, and each person will belong to that group. It seems that when a person is assigned to another group/with author-specific permissions, it will override that which is set to the "Everyone" group.
    What I normally suggest (and implement) is that you modularise your security (separate the authors into their respective departments), and then create those departments as groups, and then assign permissions as required. Lets use an example - it assumes you are logged in as an admin user:
    I create 3 folders (where 4 and 5 are defaults):
    1. HR
    2. FIN
    3. CS
    4. Administrators
    5. Everyone
    Each author is defaulted to number 5, and all administrators should be included in group 4.
    Now the goal is to prevent HR and FIN from modifying CS, and vice-versa for the other two groups.
    You will see in your library that the root is defined as "/". Firstly, ensure that the Administrators group has Modify access to this folder (Administration --> Manage Groups --> Permissions). I think you need to click on edit, then click on the "Add" button (under permissions), and choose the root folder "/" - ensure it has modify - by default this value should already exist. This now ensures that the security is filtered down to all sub-ordinate folders that exist under the root folder - you do not need to manually assign "modify" permissions to each folder for the Administrator group, as you have already done so at root level.
    You will also notice that there is a "Members/Users" tab (can't remember off the top of my head which), and this allows you to select the profiles/authors that have Administrator group priviledges - ensure the correct users are selected.
    I normally leave the "Everyone" group as it is - do this for now, ensure everyone is included in it, and only modify after you have implemented and tested your security structure if needs be - normally the other group permissions override the "Everyone" group permissions.
    Next step is to assign department specific permissions to the 3 folders we created. Navigate to Administration --> Manage Groups, and ensure that you begin by editing the first department group (HR) - create the group if not already done, then edit (little pencil logo). You would like all HR users to have full modify access to their folder only, but they must not be able to mess around with the other two departments or the "System", "Getting started with UPK" and "/" folders. Under permissions, click on the Add button, and ensure that the folder "HR" has modify priviledge. Add the remaining 4 folders (CS, FIN, System, Getting started with UPK), and assign either Read or Read/View permission - this will ensure all other folders cannot be modified by HR users. Add the relevant HR users to the group under the "Members/Users" tab.
    Apply the same for FIN and CS respectively.
    Now you could get to a point where you may need cross-departmental access for a few users (FIN may need to access some HR content). I recommed that you do this on the user level, and not the group level, as you will limit who can access other departments. Navigate to Administration --> Manage Authors. Click on the specific user that will require access to another department. Edit his profile and under the permissions tab, ensure that he has required access to the other department folder (or sub-folders only) by adding and assigning the priveledge. This should ovveride the group security set for that specific department - but only for this user!
    Test by attempting to create content in an un-authorised folder (when logged in as a normal user). Test admin account by creating content in each folder. If it works - you will no longer need to modify "Everyone", as your permissions are defined under the other groups. I hope this all makes sense?
    Thats it in a nutshell really.
    I hope that this helps, and feel free to get back to me if you are still unsure?
    Regards,
    Greig

  • Can't rip CD, can't repair permissions, help!

    I moved my itunes music library to an external firewire hard drive because my main hard drive was getting too full. Now, I cannot rip music from a CD to the hard drive because I don't have the right "permissions". Nor can I rip to my main hard drive and copy to the external. I tried to repair permissions with disk utility, but it doesn't give me that option for the external drive.
    I'm not sure how to work around this problem, can somebody help?

    OK, yes this probably would be a good topic to post in the forum relevant to your computer hardware. I have 3 internal hard drives at the moment, and am getting ready to add a 4th, so this is pretty familiar territory. If you have the manual that came with the computer (you can download it from Apple's site if you don't) you should find the right information on drive locations and jumper settings, etc. As long as you get that stuff right, you should easily be able to boot from the current (soon-to-be "old") drive or from your OS X install disc and use Disk Utility to restore the current boot volume to the new drive (or partition/volume on that drive). At that point you can set your Startup Disk preferences so that the computer boots by default from the OS X volume on the new hard drive.
    With three high-capacity drives in your computer, you'll have lots of options. I personally don't keep any media files at all on my boot drive, just to keep things on that volume as simple as possible. The other two drives contain copies of my various media libraries, and this works very well for my purposes.

  • Repair disk permissions help

    Hello all,
    im fairly new to the macbook and have been reading up on repairing disk permissions as the mac has started to slow down in time
    the problem i have is i opened disk utility
    and ran verrify disk permisions, it found problems, so i restarted and held comand and r and booted into the recovery console
    from there, i chose disk utilities and ran verify disk again, again it found problems, so i ran repair disk permisons, that came  back and repaired succefull,
    so just to check i then vefried the permisons again, and once again it found the same problems, so i then re - repaired the permisions, and again it cam back succefull
    again i double checked and once again it found the same problems , so im going round in a loop here the problems arnt actually properly fixing?
    how can i sort this out?
    any help would be appreciated!
    regards

    Those messages are in fact quite similar to the ones Apple mention in the KB.
    All the examples you posted are instances of the same symptom: the BOM states a given path is supposed to be a directory but it actually is a symlink to a directory.
    A possible cause of this is when something was installed that did not foresee upgrades that would leave multiple versions installed at the same time, then the development team eventually decided that a new version would be needed to co-exist with the old one and such a new version has been installed. The old BOM file still report the directories (or files) as not being symlinks but the new installation actually moved the old data to a directory specific for the old version, installed a new version and then changed the old directory (aka the "unversioned" or "current" path) to a symlink to the latest installation.
    You can safely ignore these differences.
    While in the past running permission repair used to be a very important periodic maintenance routine, nowadays it's rarely needed and even more rarely useful. It still is a good idea to run it right before and after an important operating system patch update, but it's not really necessary.
    It's very common (and has been for a long time) for the tool to report differences, say they have been repaired, and then, if run again, to report the same differences. In those cases you can generally ignore those differences. Only if the repair tool says it failed to repair something you should be concerned.

  • EJB ACLs and permissions, help needed urgently

    Hello,
    I am using WL6.1. I need to use weblogic.security.acl.Security.checkPermission
    to check if a user has permission to acess an EJB method. I know one can call
    the method and check the exception to see yes or no. But that requires knowing
    the method signature (parameters and return types etc.).
    I read the documentation and here is what I got:
    ACLs and permissions for WebLogic EJBs differ from ACLs and permissions for other
    kinds of WebLogic Server resources in the following ways:
    1. EJB ACLs are configured in the access control properties of the EJB's deployment
    descriptor.
    2. Permissions are granted on individual methods of a bean; there are no predefined
    permissions.
    3. Permissions on EJBs are granted to Roles, which map to groups in WebLogic Server.
    So if I read it correctly:
    1. One does not need to use WL console to configure EJB ACLs? If otherwise, how
    do we do it?. There is no documentation for it.
    2. What is the ACLName to use when I call the method weblogic.security.acl.Security.checkPermission(java.security.Principal
    principal, java.lang.String aclName,
    java.security.acl.Permission permission,
    char sep)?
    I tried with JNDI name and EJB name and nothing seems to work.
    Can anyone help me out?
    Thanks.
    Ling Wang

    It all depends on where do you want to keep your ACLs and the rest of security.
    Simplest will be fileRealm, but it has limited capability (10k ACLs I recall).
    You do not heed console to set it up. Here is an excert from ACL file:
    acl.read.OT_INTEGRATIONOBJREF=everyone
    acl.read.OT_ORGTRANSPORT=OrgAdmin,AppAdmin
    acl.read.OT_ORGUNITOFMEASURE=OrgAdmin,AppAdmin
    # from nonWorkflowEvents.template
    acl.execute.ET_QUERY=everyone
    acl.execute.ET_BATCH=everyone
    read/execute is action. Caps keep resource (name). On the right hand is a list
    of roles. The security call will be lokking like:
    boolean result = Security.hasPermission("ET_BATCH",
    new PermissionImpl("read"), '.');
    It does not throw, just returns a boolean.
    Now, this is all about programmatic security. If you are up to declarative, you
    need to assign role names to method names in deployment descriptor of your bean
    and map them to actual roles.
    Also you may have problems while asking security question about another principal
    (nto the one currently logged in). Not that it does not work -- just needs caution.
    Hope it helps.

    Hello,
    I am using WL6.1. I need to use weblogic.security.acl.Security.checkPermission
    to check if a user has permission to acess an EJB method. I know one
    can call
    the method and check the exception to see yes or no. But that requires
    knowing
    the method signature (parameters and return types etc.).
    I read the documentation and here is what I got:
    ACLs and permissions for WebLogic EJBs differ from ACLs and permissions
    for other
    kinds of WebLogic Server resources in the following ways:
    1. EJB ACLs are configured in the access control properties of the EJB's
    deployment
    descriptor.
    2. Permissions are granted on individual methods of a bean; there are
    no predefined
    permissions.
    3. Permissions on EJBs are granted to Roles, which map to groups in WebLogic
    Server.
    So if I read it correctly:
    1. One does not need to use WL console to configure EJB ACLs? If otherwise,
    how
    do we do it?. There is no documentation for it.
    2. What is the ACLName to use when I call the method weblogic.security.acl.Security.checkPermission(java.security.Principal
    principal, java.lang.String aclName,
    java.security.acl.Permission permission,
    char sep)?
    I tried with JNDI name and EJB name and nothing seems to work.
    Can anyone help me out?
    Thanks.
