Bridge CC stalling on installation?

Hi everybody. I have recently begun subscription to the Creative Cloud. I have downloaded and installed Photoshop CC however when attempting to install Bridge CC, the installation/download is stalling at 42%. I have quit and retried to download/install with the same issue. Are there any known issues with this?

  • Bridge CC, unsuccessful manual installation for output module.

I have manually installed the Adobe Output Module for Bridge CC.  I followed EVERY STEP in the directions from http://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/kb/install-output-module-bridge-cc.html
After installation, I am receiving the "I/O error".  I have googled this error, and it appears that many are having this same issue, and no one has a solution to fix the problem.  I am currently taking an online graphics course, and this first assignment should only take 1 hour...I am now up to 8 hours of trying to troubleshoot this and figure this out...and I'm wasting my Labor Day.  I'm so frustrated and almost to the point of canceling my Creative Cloud membership AND my online class since I'm already running into problems with Assignment #1.  I do have the CS3 program, but I do not want to go through this class with such an outdated program.
Does Adobe know if they are working to fix this problem, or if it will ever be fixed?  If they are in the process of fixing it, do they know approximately how long it will take?  Can someone please offer a solution or shine some light on the topic.  I am working on a MacBook Pro laptop, Mac OS X version 10.6.8.
    Thank you!

No, I can not get older versions.  I would have to pay $999 for CS6
This is not true, you should be able to download CS6 for free with your CC subscription:
    From the FAQ of CC:
Do Creative Cloud members have access to previous versions of Creative Cloud apps?
Yes. Creative Cloud paid members have access to a select set of archived versions of the desktop apps. Starting with CS6, select versions of each of the desktop creative apps will be archived and available for download. Archived versions are provided "as is" and are not updated to work with the latest hardware and software platforms.
You just have to dig a bit deeper in the Creative Cloud download center.
    Try this link:
    https://creative.adobe.com/products/photoshop
Or visit the Creative cloud page and look for the download center, select Photoshop icon and from this page you can select either CC or CS6

  • IMac stalls during installation

I have a 17" iMac G5 that just recently started stalling during installation. The computer acts as if it is loading up the OS, but takes forever - somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 minutes. It has in fact eventually made it to the desktop. However, once you restart, it's back to doing the same thing.
I tried starting up from the MAC OS CD by holding down the "C" key, and now the computer just sits, and the icon spins and it has my CD in there.
Has anyone else experienced this problem and what did you do about it? Also, how do I now eject the CD from the computer?

    1. What were you installing? Be very clear.
    2. Where did you get the OS X installer disk? Is it a retail version of 10.4?

  • Stalled OID installation

    Hi All,
I am installing OID 10.1.4 on a Red Hat Linux server. The server already has Oracle DB 11.2 and OAS 10 running. During the OID installation, the installation stopped at Configuration Assistant's - Oracle Database Configuration Assistant and stay there for hours without progressing. Checked the oradata directory and can't see any dbfs or any files being created there. The only message from the shell which started the installer is 'opmnctl: opmn is already running'.
    Has anyone seen that before?
    Thanks

Eh no, I was referring to the installation that complained about opmn already being started. At that point, you might try stopall, or startall (depending on what the actual status is).
Normally, this should not stall - I have seen this warning before, and it never actually stops the installation process.
However, at some stage the process tries to figure out what ports are being used, and it runs some hideous perl/java code. Just be patient when you find out netstat is running.
    Are you actually installing now?
    Cheers, Frank

  • PSE 2.0 Stalls on installation

When I try to install PSE 2.0 on my WIndows XP Home it stalls. The hour glass appears for 10 seconds then goes away. The program was installed on this computer, but I had to replace the hard drive, now PSE 2.0 won't reinstall. Can anyone out there help.
    Thanks

    Hi Rick,
There seems to be some issue with the installer. Can you share what does that log file says? The installer log file can be located in %temp% folder with the name like MSIxxxxx.log.
If you are enable to find it, then you may need to enable the windows installer logging explicitly. Following link might help you:

  • Java Access Bridge 2.0.2 Installer for Windows OS

    Hi,
I am searching for an automated install version of Java Access Bridge 2.0.2 for Windows, but am having great difficulties.
The version that is around just now is not practical for our needs. I work for an organisation who wish to get users to install Java Access Bridge in order to use JAWS. As they are blind or partially sited, the manual install is too difficult for them to carry out by themselves.
Searching Google has proved fruitless, and the only real lead I have found was on these forms when someone said that one was in beta test, but having searched the web site, I could not find it.
Could someone please let me know the current status of the installer ?
    Thanks
    GW

You might want to check out this thread:

If you have Java 6, you'll need to manually install Java Access Bridge 2.0.1. The JAB 2.0.2 installer for Java 6 is also available as a beta:

  • Bridge Pictured In SAP Installer

I know it was mentioned once during a SAP course, but forgot to write it down.  Where and what is the bridge that is pictured during SAP CRM, or SOLMON installation?

  • Stalls on installation

I'm having some major issues at present. I restarted my Mac last night to see the dreaded No Entry symbol. I can start up from my backup drive and see contents of my Mac but can only copy some of them over.
    I have done the following:
    Repaired Disk Permission: Nothing found
    Repaired Disk: Nothing found
Ran Hardware test (advanced): Nothing found
I then tried to Archive and Install but it seems to stall when installing the system. It gets around a third of the way and then my drive makes clicky sounds and will install no more.
I only really wanted to run the Archive and Install rather than a full installation because I have some files that haven't been backed up. To be honest I'm not sure that would work anyway.
Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

I've tried running Disk Warrior but that just stalls as well after a while (I think whilst it's trying to scan the faulty drive) and then I get the spinning kaleidoscope of death

  • Adobe Bridge CS6 stalls in Photoshop...

I downloaded CS6 Design Standard from Adobe webpage and have tried several times to get mini bridge/bridge to run, but the message 'Waiting for Bridge CS6' runs for hours. I am using a 64-bit Dell desktop with Windows 7 Home Premium. I have tried option 4 on Error: Waiting for Bridge | Mini Bridge panel, but nothing changes on deleting the Switchboard from the registry. Some folks here have suggested looking up bridge.exe in the Task Manager, but my task manager doesn't even show it up.
I would appreciate help, and soon.

If the software installed I would expect it to work…
Well… that's your expectation.  Did you pay for the download? During the first 30 days you'd be entitled to your money back, but it's been a heck of a lot longer since Adobe demanded or accepted any mnoney for "CS6 Design Standard".  If you just recently acquired that obsolete suite, it was certainly not through a legal purchase from the Adobe store.

    E.g.: Photoshop CC2014 15.2.2.

I haven't got a clue what you mean by that nonsensical grammatical construction, nor does that question seem to have anything to do with your original post.    ??? ?? ?
Also, please remember you are not addressing Adobe here in the user forums.  You are requesting help from volunteers users just like you who give their time free of charge. No one has any obligation to answer your questions.

  • MacBook Pro stalls during installation of update

After restart, shows "installing 3 items". Progress bar moved quickly to just shy of half and is now stalled. It has been like this for 4 hours even though it says time remaining is less than one minute. Help!

  • Itunes 8 stalls during installation

    If anyone can assist,
I recently tried downloading the latest itunes software from this website and it will never complete. I am not getting an error message it just stops processing all together around 56%. I have been using a zune and their marketplace for sometime. Oddly enough i had the same issue downloading the marketplace software and had to have MS send me a disc for the installation. I want to buy a ipod classic but before I did I was trying to download the software and give it a test run.
I am a little reluctant now because I am having so much difficulty. I was worried about my system settings and extra junk on my computer so I wiped it clean and rebooted putting it back to the way it was the day I purchased it. I had not done this in years so I was assuming any problems I was experiencing would be cleared up this way.
Unfortunately I still cannot download the Itunes software. Anyone have suggestions as to what i am doing wrong.
    Thank you.

    Thank you for the response,
Yes I tried downloading from the website : http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
I was trying to just run from the download at first but then I also tried saving to my desktop as you suggested. It times out a little farther down the way at 67% percent when i do this. Keep in mind my system was fully updated when I originally had the problem. All drivers from dell website....and all windows updates. I had installed windows sp 3 prior to rebooting my system all togehter.
I believe you are right in that it is a more general problem than itunes since i had the same issues with the zune marketplace.
The system is fully updated now, no cookies, pop up blocker is off. I am not sure what a web accelerator is to know if I ever had one running.
I also don't know of any alternate web browsers to download from. I am also going to check the dell forum to see if i can get some assistance. Thank you for trying. If anyone else has a suggestion please feel free to let me know.
    Thank you.

  • Bridge and the cloud installation

I'm installing Photoshop CC on a computer that has PS 5.1; a message tells me to close Bridge before it can continue, but Bridge is not open. Please help.

    Hi jillbuhler,
Please check Task Manager in Windows and Activity Monitor in Mac for Bridge or any Adobe Application and close if it is running. Try reinstalling Photoshop CC and it should work fine.
