Bridge CC, unsuccessful manual installation for output module.

I have manually installed the Adobe Output Module for Bridge CC.  I followed EVERY STEP in the directions from http://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/kb/install-output-module-bridge-cc.html
After installation, I am receiving the "I/O error".  I have googled this error, and it appears that many are having this same issue, and no one has a solution to fix the problem.  I am currently taking an online graphics course, and this first assignment should only take 1 hour...I am now up to 8 hours of trying to troubleshoot this and figure this out...and I'm wasting my Labor Day.  I'm so frustrated and almost to the point of canceling my Creative Cloud membership AND my online class since I'm already running into problems with Assignment #1.  I do have the CS3 program, but I do not want to go through this class with such an outdated program.
Does Adobe know if they are working to fix this problem, or if it will ever be fixed?  If they are in the process of fixing it, do they know approximately how long it will take?  Can someone please offer a solution or shine some light on the topic.  I am working on a MacBook Pro laptop, Mac OS X version 10.6.8.
Thank you!

No, I can not get older versions.  I would have to pay $999 for CS6
This is not true, you should be able to download CS6 for free with your CC subscription:
From the FAQ of CC:
Do Creative Cloud members have access to previous versions of Creative Cloud apps?
Yes. Creative Cloud paid members have access to a select set of archived versions of the desktop apps. Starting with CS6, select versions of each of the desktop creative apps will be archived and available for download. Archived versions are provided "as is" and are not updated to work with the latest hardware and software platforms.
You just have to dig a bit deeper in the Creative Cloud download center.
Try this link:
https://creative.adobe.com/products/photoshop
Or visit the Creative cloud page and look for the download center, select Photoshop icon and from this page you can select either CC or CS6

  • Ability in Bridge CS5 to categorize selections for output?

    I've been playing around with the Collections, Smart Collections, and Stack features, and none of these seem to do what I want. I'm trying to create a Web Gallery slideshow with the images in a specific order according to groups. I separated the images into groups of about 30 each in separate folders. But I cannot seem to create selections across folders. And turning on Sort Manually doesn't prevent the groups from becoming mixed up when I pull them into a Collection. The only method that seems to work is renaming the images themselves with specific prefixes and then sorting by name. Any suggestions?

    How can I import / copy these into Bridge CS6 so I don't have to recreate them manually?
    A bit unsure about your request because you both mention Bridge CS 6. Do you mean separate systems or computers?
    Anyway, the template that you have saved are stored in the user library (by default hidden per MacOSX 10.7, in Finder use menu Go with option to reveal this library)
    The path:
    User (your username)/Library/ Application Support / Adobe / Bridge CS6 / Adobe Output Module / UserTemplate/ ContactSheet. In this folder are the templates you have custom created and saved.
    Just copy them to the same location of the new set up and restart Bridge. Then they should appear agin in the list of custom templates in AOM.

  • Java Access Bridge 2.0.2 Installer for Windows OS

    Hi,
    I am searching for an automated install version of Java Access Bridge 2.0.2 for Windows, but am having great difficulties.
    The version that is around just now is not practical for our needs. I work for an organisation who wish to get users to install Java Access Bridge in order to use JAWS. As they are blind or partially sited, the manual install is too difficult for them to carry out by themselves.
    Searching Google has proved fruitless, and the only real lead I have found was on these forms when someone said that one was in beta test, but having searched the web site, I could not find it.
    Could someone please let me know the current status of the installer ?
    Thanks
    GW

    You might want to check out this thread:
    Java Access Bridge and JRE 1.6
    If you have Java 6, you'll need to manually install Java Access Bridge 2.0.1. The JAB 2.0.2 installer for Java 6 is also available as a beta:

  • Scripting Adobe Bridge CS4 Output Module

    Anyone done it? An API definition appears absent from the Bridge CS4 SDK documentation.

    Thanks. I'm not familiar with ExternalObject, can you shed some additional light on the subject? Previously I've used the Adobe Photoshop Scripting Reference to figure out what objects to instantiate and invoke. I note all sorts of things I can invoke in the Bridge CS4 docs, but not the Output Module. These files you refer to on the drive, I'm not sure what you mean. I can find all sorts of jsx samples, but none pertinent to this particular issue.
    Thanks again.

  • How to burn a dvd from Bridge, through the Output Module to a DVD?

    How do I burn a dvd pdf slideshow?  I have CC, ACR, Bridge and I have loaded the Output Module.  I know how to create the slideshow in Bridge.  How do I get from Bridge through the Output Module to the DVD?

    Copying the pdf to DVD is an OS function, not something to do from Bridge.  When you save the pdf you select a location where to save it (desktop or folder of your choice).  To copy that saved pdf file to DVD you use a DVD writing program on your system or OS copy function (such as windows explorer if on windows) to copy from the location where you saved the pdf to the DVD drive on your system.

  • Output module settings in AE disappears when activating Creative Cloud

    I have been using Creative Cloud a little year now. Sometimes one of the programs en the suite asks me to activate the software. Then I (again) type in my adobe id.
    After that the output module settings in After Effects disappears and I have to rebuild them manually. Very annoying.
    Why am I asked to activate? And where do the settings go?

    HI Blues67,
    Sorry to hear about your difficulties. I've experienced the reactivate behavior and it is something I know we are working to improve. I haven't experienced the output module issue before. I searched the After Effects forum for "output module" and read through all the posts and didn't see similar reports from other customers, so wondered if it was something unique. I think the the output module preferences are saved as part of the regular After Effects user preferences. I wondered if you were on Windows or Mac. If you've had to reset your user preferences that might account for the output module settings being reset too. I'd test recreating them by moving the original to a new location, and if they do get reset, you can save a backup for future reference if needed. I think
    you can get more info about the location from here:

  • How to list output module templates

    I cant seem to get the list of output modules templates, without having a comp in the render queue and getting the template array by looking in:  app.project.renderQueue.item(1).outputModules[1].templates.
    I want to populate a DropDownList with these values prior to adding anything to the renderQueue if possible.

    There is a less kludgy way to do this for Output modules:
    function getOutputModuleTemplateNames()
      var currentOMName;
      var OMStringsPrefSection = "Output Module Spec Strings Section v28";
      var OMStringsKeyPrefix = "Output Module Spec Strings Name ";
      var hiddenPrefixRE = /_HIDDEN/;
      var OMList = new Array();
      for(var i = 0; app.preferences.havePref(OMStringsPrefSection, OMStringsKeyPrefix+i, PREFType.PREF_Type_MACHINE_INDEPENDENT_OUTPUT); i++)
      currentOMName = app.preferences.getPrefAsString(OMStringsPrefSection, OMStringsKeyPrefix+i, PREFType.PREF_Type_MACHINE_INDEPENDENT_OUTPUT);
      if(currentOMName.match(hiddenPrefixRE)==null) OMList.push(currentOMName);
      return OMList;
    My problem is I'd like to do this for Render Settings templates, too, but they aren't stored as individual keys in the preferences, but rather as some chunk of encoded data that can't be retrieved (as far as I can tell) using app.preferences.getPrefAsString().
    Is there any way, short of reading in the preference file itself, which seems clunky and not at all future-proof, to get access to settings like this?

  • Hi. I am trying to use Bridge to make web galleries. There used to be something on PS for that but now I cant find it in PS so I was advised to use Bridge.  However, there is something called Output Module (AOM) that is missing from my Bridge.  I download

    Hi. I am trying to use Bridge to make web galleries. There used to be something on PS for that but now I cant find it in PS so I was advised to use Bridge.  However, there is something called Output Module (AOM) that is missing from my Bridge.  I downloaded this.  The instructions say :Copy the Adobe Output Module folder (not the AOM_Package_[OS] folder) into the Bridge CC Extensions folder in the appropriate location:
    Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Bridge CC Extensions
    Mac OS: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Bridge CC Extensions.  However there is noplace on my Macbook Air running Yosemetie that has this /Library/Applications SUpport/Bridge CC Extensions. Can anyone advise?

    That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash. Safebooting disables Launch Agents/Daemon and Third Party Kernal extensions. Here's the article to Safeboot OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode? - Apple Support

  • Bridge CC Output Module not working for me

    I have installed the Output Module in Bridge CC (Which I can't believ was not included and that it is not an auto update as I thought was one of the big positives of this whole CC concept)  but while it opens and looks ok, when I try to create and save a pdf contact scheet, I get a message saying "The file or folder does not exist." and nothing is created or saved.  What gives?  This is a major feature of Bridge to me as I use it a lot.
    By the way, the web gallery does not work at all, either.

    Have you read through the help doc  http://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/kb/install-output-module-bridge-cc.html
