Bridge Completion for 1/4 bridge with scxi 1121/1321
How do I connect a 1/4 bridge to a scxi 1121 with a 1321 module. Do I need bridge completion resistors?

Follow the link below for a PDF document for a diagram (page 10) on configuring a quarter bridge on a SCXI-1121 module with a SCXI-1321 terminal block. You will notice that R1 & R2 are completion resistors for the configuration. All manuals are online and are generally a great resource for these questions.

Setu.Attached is an Application Note from NI that describes the wiring of three-wire, quarter-bridge, strain gauges. There were dozens of App Notes to choose from, I just sent this one as a start.

Firmware 7.3.1 info for the few users with bridged N routernetwork.
Just to help those few people who had a similar setup as my bridged network.
I had two different passwords set; one for my main N router and the other for the N bridged router. The 7.3.1 update failed on the bridged router.
The work around was to change both routers to use the same password.
Hope this helps those few people such as I who had used multiple password protection to their N routers.FWIW I'm not having the problem described - I have an old (G) Airport Express on a BGN (2.4GHz) network served by an Airport Extreme N (previous, single-band model) and a current (N) Airport Express on a 5Ghz N-only network served by a Time Capsule (previous, single band model). All of that stuff has been updated to the latest firmware.
Something I noticed on the N network, and it possibly relates to several of the issues with 5GHz networks and the new firmware on existing routers is this: I have the wireless channel on my 5GHz router set to "automatic". Previously this used Channel 36. Now, after the firmware update, "automatic" has chosen Channel 147. In my case this hasn't made any difference for better or worse for how well or quickly other devices are connecting to the network, BUT I can easily see how being on a completely different frequency after the firmware update might make things work badly for some people, given imprefect transmission, interference, etc.
What happens if you change the frequency for the 5GHz network from "automatic" back to whatever channel it was choosing "automatically" with the previous firmware? I found that pressing Option when clicking on the Channel dropdown in Airport Utility made the channel selection available, and then I could choose a specific channel if I wished. If your connection was working well with channel 36 (for example) previously, maybe try setting it manually to that again? -
This is my urgent problem:
I have a physical machine with two physical network interfaces. I have a VMWARE player installed and a virtual machine that must use both cards on two different subnets, one directly public on the router and one intranet inside the company.
How can I just tell one net card to go on that sub and the other on the public sub ? Going crazy. Please help.

P.Using VMware Player Virtual Network Editor, create a additional bridged VMnet and bind each bridged VMnet to a different physical network adapter... on virtual machine, create a virtual network adapter to each subnet, and bind each virtual network adapter to a different bridged VMnet.

Connecting Half Bridge I Config with SCXI 1520 and 1314
Hi! I'm using Half Bridge -I Configuration with SCXI 1520 and 1314, but the diagrams in the SCXI-1520 manual are not very comprehensible to me. Three questions:
1) Is it "necessary" to connect SCx terminals?
2) If yes, why is there no lead resistance "RL" shown?
3) Are one end each of two strain gauges to be shorted externally, or wired all the way upto SCXI-1340?
If u can also post a drawing with actual leads and gauges shown, it will be great.
These questions may seem trivial, but I'm just starting with strain measurement so...

If you are wanting to perform a shunt calibration on your strain gauges then the SCA terminals will need to be connected. The reason that no lead resistance (RL) is shown is that the resistance of those leads will not be affecting the reading you are taking. Lead resistances only need to be considered when they are part of the wheatstone bridge.
The strain gauges are R3 and R4 in figure 2-3 on page 2-7 of the SCXI-1520 User Manual (linked below). One side of the strain gauges should be connected to each other, then the other side of the strain gauges need to be connected to P+ and P-. Only connections to the right of the 1314 terminal block (in figure 2-3) are connections you will need to make. I hope this helps.

Multiple VLANSs with 1 bridge group for DLSw+
I am working on a network with a DLSw+ on a 6500 MSFC with multiple VLANs. There is one bridge group and it is mapped to DLSw + and to each VLAN. It is working, but I want to know if there is an and advantage placing each VLAN in it's own bridge group and mapping each bridge group to DLSw+.
I have an example of the config I am referring to below: I would appreciate any feedback or comments on this.

When the router receives bridged packet whose destination MAC address is not on the router's bridge table, the router will flood the packet to all the VLANs if all the VLANs are on the same bridge group. Similary, the router forwards broadcast traffic to all VLANs.
If different VLANs are under different bridge group, the traffic mentioned above is noly forwarded to DLSw.l -
I get error message when trying to open DAZ Studio 3D bridge in PS 2014 from the File and Automate Menu.
Error reads "could not complete DAZ Studio 3D Bridge command because of program error?"
According to User Documentation I should get a dialog box which allows me to click on "Launch DAZ Studio"

Can I measure full bridge gage configurations with SCXI1121 and 1321 terminal

I designed a load cell that uses a full bridge gage configuration. I have at my lab a SCXI 1121 module with a SCXI 1321 terminal block. I need to know if it is possible to use that hardware configuration in order to make de load cell and the data acquisition system fully functional.

The full brige configuration you are speaking of requires four wires, two for voltage and two for excitation, is this correct? If so here is a link that you might find helpful.
Full Bridge Configuration
This reference is for strain gauges, but the connection for a full bridge is going to be the same. The channel plus and minus and excitation plus and minus can be connected to the 1321 for the individual channel. To configure the proper gain, filtering, and excitation mode and level, please refer to the Getting Started with SCXI on pages 3-14 through 3-23 (pages 51-60 in the .pdf).

Selecting bridge type for 9237 module on cRIO
How do you select 1/2 or Full bridge completion and Shunt settings for 9237 Bridge module on cRIO? The getting started example only seems to set the data rate?. The FPGA Property Node only has Data Rate, Excitation, and ID params available as choices? Am using 8.2.1. Other discussion threads talk about configuring with MAX but for cRIO/8.2.1 MAX doesn't show modules, just the remote system top level.

The Half vs Full Bridge as well as the Excitation Voltage settings live in the properties page for the NI 9237 module in the LV Project (right-click module item>>Properties). See attached image.

Raw images do not show up in Bridge CS4 for PSE 8 for Mac
I just downloaded PSE 8 for Mac and my raw files no longer show as thumbnails. I can open them in Elements, but the image is blank in Bridge. These same images were fine in CS3 (PSE 6 for Mac). I have downloaded and installed the new Camera Raw 5.6 plug-in but that didn't work. Any suggestions? Thank you!
You have to update bridge separately from PSE, and bridge ships with a pretty old version of ACR. Just go to Help>Updates in bridge and it will update itself for you.

AirPort Utility is the application that must be used to setup and make any configuration changes to the AirPort Express. I'm not aware of an "App" for this.
If you could borrow a computer from someone there for 30 minutes or maybe use the computer in the lobby, you could download AirPort Utility and reconfigure your Express. To help with setup, use an ethernet cable from the computer to the Express to help AirPort Utility "see" the Express.

CS6 Beta Bridge bug importing CS5 workspace names with apostrophes (Win 7, 64x)
When I installed the CS6 Beta and opened Bridge [using File > Browse in Bridge...] I noticed that my CS5 workspace name of "Mark's" was showing as "MARK'S". I tried creating a new workspace in CS6 Bridge with the name of "Marc's". No problem with the newly-created name. So, the problem must be just when importing workspace names with aprostrophes from previous Ps versions.
Side note: this CS6 Beta working great so far! Thanks to everyone.

Error Code: 34 Mac OSX 10.8.4 for Photoshop CC, Bridge CC, After Effects CC, and Flash CC
Hello,
So I am installing all the CC versions of the software and all but Photoshop, Bridge, After Effects, and Flash installed without a hitch. On those 4 programs I get the same error code: 34. I am able to install the CS6 variants of them without any problem and run it. Here is the error code:

I have been unable to fix this on my own and with what I've found online. I'll list what I have done so far to try to fix this issue. I have tried to use the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool but the issue is since PS, BR, AE, and FL won't install I can't clean them to try a fresh install. I tried installing the CS6 versions to see if it would dowload the 'Camera Profiles Installer_8.1".
Any help on fixing this ASAP would be much appreciated!

NBHey Guys I am experiencing the exact same iusse I spoke with adobe and they weren't able to solve the issue here's log.

I think Adobe installs shortcuts for both 32 and 64 bit Photoshop in the start menu.
If you can't find the 32 bit Start menu entry, look for the 32 executable here (changing the CS version number to whatever yours is):
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5\Photoshop.exe

Thumbnails in Bridge CS3 for ACR 4.6 not available
I have a problem, that I can open raw files per double click, but I dont get a preview in Bridge for my Canon EOS 50D.
Also if I use the mouse button open in camera raw is not available. If I use open from the menu, the raw is opened in ACR 4.6 correctly.
Also purging the chache was no success

I will check if I have another version in place. Maybe now I get a problem because I use Bridge for viewing the new pictures, classifying by tags. For searches later on I have Photoshop elements because of it´s fast database. For PSE I now need Version 7 with Camera Raw 5.2, for Bridge and CS3 (more complex actions for improving my pictures) I had to install ACR 4.6.
From Bridge I can open the pictures with "open" and 4.6 appears before entering CS3. But in Bridge the option "open with camera raw" is not available.
Hopefully I only have 2 ACR 4.x versions in the CS3 directories. This would be easy to solve. Otherwise it seems to get more and more enerving to find the error.
