Bridge CS 5.1 -- Need Manual

I want to understand Bridge by reading the manual. None shipped with the product -- just some sort of lazy, stupid google-type "help" (patronizing and insulting -- as if I don't know how to search the Internet by myself). Using this horrid non-help yields nothing for a v5.1 manual -- just a manual for v4, and a promise to produce a manual for v6 before the end of the month. Oddly, using Google yields a "Bridge Help" set of pages (adobe.com/bridge/using) not returned by the Adobe search engine. This on-line help is better than a stick in the eye but still not what I need. I do not always have Internet access when I use Bridge. I need off-line help.
So -- where do I download a pdf manual for Bridge CS 5.1? Or does Adobe just blow off users of this version?

Calling a dll from a new menu item in Bridge. Idiot help needed

I'm trying to what I believe is a fairly simple script. I'm coming from a hobbiest Delphi background, and to be honest I'm finding JavaScript a little bit hard to understand. My requirements are simple - add a new menu item to Bridge which executes a call to a custom dll. Note I'm not expecting the dll to return anything here..
Looking at the samples provided even I can add the menu item - but getting it to successfully call the dll is a bit of a mystery.
The script compiles and adds the menu item, however the menu action doesn't call the dll. I believe it should be a fairly simple task and was hoping somebody here could steer me right. Here's my code (as you'll see a clear cut and paste job from the examples ;o)

The dll needs to be compatable with the criteria set in the JavaScript Tools Guide. There is an example in the Bridge SDK that can be downloaded from http://www.adobe.com/devnet/bridge.html
But it need someone who is knowledgeable with c++
It would be great if someone could write a wrapper to access other external objects.

MS-6389M need manual and drivers

Just received new motherboard (purchased mail order)
NEED MANUAL AND DRIVERS.
This motherboard MS6389M is not listed on MSI website (anyhow, I couldn't find it)
I dont know if this is a new product, and not on site yet, or if it is an old discontinued product. This is the very first motherboard I have ever purchased that did not have manual and drivers packaged with it, and I have purchased MANY.

This board is killing me as well....

this is just a quick referance for it (it does have jumper settings and such)
I have gone to www.esupport.com to get an updated bios for it (but no reply from them so far)
But please reply if you are interested in a bios update for it.

Needs Manual Verification by User for 508 Compliant Docs

Can anyone tell me how to fix that?
I'm making a document 508 compliant using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and everything runs smoohtly, except it won't become compliant, because of this message in the summery report.
Does anyone know how I can fix that?

When you have the Accessibility Full Check dialog open & have selected the Section 508 checking option you'll observe the (a) through (p).
These correspond the paragraphs in 1194.22 (which, in turn, have a correlation to WCAG 1.0).
What needs manual verification will depend on which paragraph the comment is associated with.

In all cases (c) will have "Needs manual verification by user".
For (c), the requirement is that all information conveyed with color is also available without color.
Only a "warm body" can do this; hence, "Needs manual verification...".

An additional observation — A "pass" from Full Checker (using both "Adobe PDF" & "Section 508..." does not mean you've an Accessible PDF (S508 compliant &/or usable). One example would be the Scope of table header cells (Row | Column | Both | None) and Table Summary. Neither are evaluated.
You'll have to provide the appropriate value for Scope and provide the text for the Table Summary.
After using Full Checker you will need to "walk" the structure tree in the Tags panel (with the Highlight option selected) to look for possible issues.
Are any lists present properly tagged?
Are Headings properly used?
Do the various chunks of content have the correct PDF Tag?
Tags inappropriately used can really goober the PDF.
As always, proper mastering in the authoring file results in minimizing remediation activity with Acrobat Pro in the requisite post-processing.

Cisco switches 3560 need manual reboot after power outages

Hi everyone,
In africa we have lot of power outages.
Working at a very big company with more than 300 switches can be challenging if you have to bring them up by manually rebooting few of them on the property.
The switches are directly connect via fiber using LH/LX SFP connector to a 4500 Core switch which is on a UPS and does not go down during the outage; only the access layer switches will then need manual reboot....
Please assist in having a permanent fix on this issue.

Best way to check the guidelines is to see help.sap.com.
From my experience you need to follow the following steps:
1. Create busness event groups
2. Create business event types
3. Create resource types
4. Create resources
5. Create external instructors (if any)
6. Create companies (if any)
7. Create locations
8. Manage integration switches (SEMIN rows in T77S0 table)
For the master data creaton activities above, you can create LSMW to make it possible for mass data upload.
After your business catalog and all other master data is in place,
1. Plan business events - PSVP
2. Create business events wth/without resources - PSV2
3. Book attendees- PSV1
As recurring activities:
1. Firmly book the events.
2. Cancel events (if needed)
3. Follow-up events.

Need manual updates for 9.2 and 9.55 to do clean reinstall of acrobat 9.0 pro from cd

I just did a new nstallation of acrobat V9.0 professional from CD:
I need a link to the master incremental update for 9.2 and the master 9.55 incremental update that goes from V9.2 to V9.55
I am looking for a master baseline release.
My reinstall is on an old XPSP3 machine. When acrobat professional 9.0 goes away I will still need the incremental update from V9.0 to V9.55
I do not need to put acrobat X or acrobat XI on this machine. A new acrobat X or acrobat XI license is for a new machine.
I keep all my master and incremental updates in archival. That way i can rebuild my machine.
This is the way it is normally done.
the autoinstaller jumped me from V9.0 on CD to V9.2 and from V9.2 to V9.55.
I dont' see master releases in the table that do the same thing.
there were only 2 updates.

Most of the manual updates are not cummulative. It sounds like you did the updates from the help menu (and many of those are cummulative -- don't know why they are not available). You may be able to find the updates you used on your harddrive -- I have seen them before, but don't remember where, probably the users folder or such.

Adobe Bridge CS5 and CS6 need to uninstall

I have Adobe Bridge CS5 and CS6 that I need to uninstall off my mac I do not have Adobe Uninstall in the Utilities folder. Question how do I uninstall the applications

CS6 uninstall is in the folder of Photoshop itself in the applications folder, I suspect CS5 also has this but can't check myself.

MacBook (White) is freezing needing manual restart, Office 08 related?

Please forgive me if this is in the wrong thread, this is my first time posting; I really couldn't figure out where this should go; I won't be offended if it gets moved.
For quite some time now, about a year and a half, every so often my computer would suddenly start to bog down, show the beach ball, one by one things would stop working such as the app dock, corners, etc., then mouse stops responding and eventually results in needing to be manually restarted. This whole process from start to finish takes about 30-60 seconds. I never once have received a crash report or any sort of clue as to what causes this problem. It would seem to happen rather randomly, but infrequently enough to not really be a true nuisance.
However, in September I switched from 10.5 to 10.6 and am updated to 10.6.4. At the same time, I started to heavily need to use this computer to type college papers and I constantly am using Office 2008. Around the time I switched to SL, this problem has increased to seemingly every two hours or so. It is causing major problems as I am losing large portions of work. I can give you what I have learned and what I have tried, but I cannot seem to find any sort of solution:
1. Possibly a corruption with a font - I opened fontbook, verified and cleaned up all duplicates and a few with critical errors, rebooted and reset the PRAM. No change.
2. Possibly a compatibility issue between Office 2008 and SL - I reinstalled Office 2008, updated everything, cleared the msword plist, reset PRAM, and still no alleviation.
Also, before SL, it seemed to be utterly random; now it does seem to coincide with the use of at least MS Word, and especially when I try to copy/paste or drag and drop something, and possibly when autosave is triggered but there is still no set pattern. I have found various tidbits of information online that lead me to believe that it might have something to do with something Office uses referred to as a Temporary Scratch File used to hold copied text, when drag-and-dropping, etc. and that it may be reaching a size limit that causes a fatal crash. Also, just before it crashed this last time, just before it completely froze, a window popped up from Word that read
"Word encountered an error reading JM2010Bus.tmp (name of file that was being used). The file may be corrupt."
I understand myself that this is pointing to the autosave file that Word uses, but it is not specific to just this file. It will happen seemingly at random regardless of the file being used and regardless of content or size.
Unfortunately (and maddeningly), I do not have any sort of error report or crash status that comes up after a restart, at least not automatically. Perhaps if there is a way to look at some sort of activity log leading up to a crash, I might be able to give you some more info about this problem, but I can't find anything myself. About the only facts I can give you are that it seems to occur mostly when Word is in use, and tends to be related to using copy/paste and/or autosave. The computer itself is a 2.1 GHz Intel Core Duo with 2Gb RAM and 320 GB HD. Office and OSX10.6.4 are all updated to the most recent available. This problem has persisted after switching from OSX 10.5 to 10.6, and has persisted past swapping in a new HD. Also, I own a black MacBook and a Mac Pro, both of which run Office 2008 and SL, and have never once encountered this problem. I can say for sure that it is software related and not hardware; this problem originally occurred in my black MacBook, but after I swapped drives from black and white, it only now happens in the white and the black is fine.
Please send me off in the right direction; I have to say that I am totally lost with this problem. I can't seem to find anything on this specifically or what to do about it after hours of searching on this forum and in google. I'm pulling my hair out!

How much free space is on the hard drive? Boot from your OS installer disk (10.6.x) and run Repair Disk from Disk Utility.

Bridge does not keep the manual sort order

I've tried everything I know but I cannot get Bridge to keep the manual sort order (iMac, 10.6, CS4). What is the file responsible for keeping the sort order? Perhaps removing it would help. This is really frustrating. It would be so important to keep related pictures together for estimating all the aspects.

Needed: Manual Steps for Uninstalling QT 7 on XP SP2

I've searched through a lot of posts with no luck.
I need a simple list of instructions to Manually uninstall QT7 because it does not appear in the add/remove programs list.

Nothing on the search. i had the same icon in the folder (start, all programs, quicktime, uninstall), but it did nothing. it was looking for some file that isn't on my machine. i can't remember what it was called now, but i did a search on it and came up with nothing. Do you think reinstalling qt might add the missing files back in?

The size of the cmos is so small to provide 3Mega pixels.

Unfortunately, you're not likely to get any of this, because
1. The iPhone 3GS is discontinued, so it's very unlikely that Apple will introduce new features for it.
2. The iPhone 4 has a better camera, which is another reason why there's unlikely to be a better solution for the 3GS

Airport extreme needs manual restarts

My airport extreme serves also as a router directly linked via ethernet to a cable modem. When it's up and running it works beautifully. However almost everyday at some point the airport extreme loses its connection to the modem. So not only do I have to restart it, but I have to restart it manually by pulling out the plug, restarting via Airort Utiiity generally doesn't work. I have recently tried a hard reset and reconfiguring, but to no avail. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

SMB is the windows networking standard..
That is not the important bit.. the important bit is the name is
Short.. no more than 20 characters.. less is good.
No spaces.
Pure alphanumeric. (not quite true.. but too hard to go through valid and invalid characters)
And yes, it is all names in the AE and all passwords... although passwords can be longer.
So base station name.. and password and wireless name/s .. and password.. and if you share a hard disk.. then the disk share name as well.
Gen2 Extreme is pretty old.. and 7.6.3 is lousy firmware.
I would go back to 7.5.1 or 7.5.2 as they simply work better. But if you need BTMM then 7.6.1
Look up the issues with latest version.
It could also be worth getting the power supply checked.. it has perhaps been running continuously for 4-5years.. that is a long time. Stuff goes bad over that time.

YouView and router connection needs manual restart...

Hello
We got YouView in order to watch MotoGP. We record the races in order to watch the the recodring in the evening.
If the connection between the router and the YouView box drops out, it will not automatically reconnect. We have to do it manually. If this occurs when we are out of the house, then the race is not recorded.
We spoke to tech support. They advised a hard reset (which wiped everything we had already recorded) and were assured this would fix the problem. However, it happened again at the weekend.

Could you try setting the box to connect manually instead of auto and see how you get on?
It's quite easy to do,
head into the box setting and look for the connection settings (make sure the box is back online before you do this as it will make it really easy)
change the setting from auto to manual, you will see th IP, subnet etc already filled out, just use whats there and click through.
this should make the box save and connect and hopefully not need to be restarted to re-gain connection and hopefully motogp heaven will be restored - fingers crossed
you'll find the settings in the youview buttion, settings, network and internet
